Marie Rydzynski-Ferrarella
aka Marie Charles, Marie Michael, Marie Nicole, Marie Ferrarella

Marie Rydzynski was born on March 28 in West Germany to Polish parents. She moved to America at the age of four. For an entire year, Marie and her family explored the eastern half of the country before finally settling in New York.

Marie swears she was born writing, "which must have made the delivery especially hard for my mother." From an early age, Marie's parents would find her watching television or tucked away in some private place, writing at a furious pace. "Initially, I began writing myself into my favourite shows. I was a detective on '77 Sunset Strip,' the missing Cartwright sibling they never talked about on 'Bonanza' and the 'Girl from U.N.C.L.E.' before there was a 'Girl from U.N.C.L.E.,' not to mention an active participant in the serialized stories of 'The Mickey Mouse Club.'" Marie began to write her first romance novel when she was 11 years old, although she claims that, at the time, she didn't even realize it was a romance! She scribbled off and on, while dreaming of a career as an actress.

Marie was only 14 when she first laid eyes on the man she would marry, truly her first love, Charles Ferrarella. During her days at Queens College, New York, acting started to lose its glamour as Marie spent more and more time writing. After receiving her English degree, specialising in Shakespearean comedy, Marie and her family moved to Southern California, where she still resides today.

After an interminable seven weeks apart, Charles decided he couldn't live without her and came out to California to marry his childhood sweetheart. Ever practical, Marie was married in a wash-and-wear wedding dress that she sewed herself, appliqués and all. "'Be prepared' has always been my motto,"the author jokes. This motto has been stretched considerably by her two children, Nikky and Jessi, "but basically, it still applies," she says.

In November of 1981, she sold her first novel for Harlequin. Marie, who now has written over 150 novels, has one goal: to entertain, to make people laugh and feel good. "That's what makes me happy," she confesses. "That, and a really good romantic evening with my husband." She's keeping her fingers crossed that her reader's enjoy reading her books as much as she enjoyed writing them.

E Savannah não se arrependeu um minuto sequer de ter sido consolada nos braços de um cowboy. I really enjoyed Cruz and Savannah's story. I love the fortunes of Texas and how they all are so busy with their own lives but will help each other out in a minutes notice. No matter what you need you can count on family to help.

It briefly mentions the missing baby as well. Check out the story you will enjoy it.

I really enjoyed this story. All the charactors made me feel a part of the story. Savannah was a school teacher. Cruz was known as being wild as the wind, and being a player. Savannah just wanted to feel alive, to do something outrageous for once in her life! After one beautiful night of passion with Cruz, she found herself pregnant, and without a job. She took a job at the ranch where her friend lives. Savannah believes the worst of herself. She thinks of herself as sensible, but not pretty. Savannah is one head strong lady. It is a lot easier to believe the worst than it is to allow your heart to believe the best in fear of it getting broken. Both Cruz, and Savannah shield their heart, but they have to learn to take a chance. A chance that just may lead to a life of love, and dreams come true. Cruz is a horse trainer. He is use to breaking wild horses, and taming them. Savannah is a beautiful lady, and at times Cruz gets frustrated, not knowing what to do. His wise father is there to give him advice. His whole family that lives on the ranch is wonderful. They really add to this story. This is a beautiful love story, and their passion for one another burns hot!

Here are a few samples of the book.
Sample from chapter 5:
She could see the small corral from the window of the first floor room where an office had been set up for her. At times, Savannah would pause and stare at the man and the beast – stare and marvel as Cruz seemed to bond more with the horse with each passing day. It was a thing of beauty to watch as it developed. There was a whole other side to Cruz that Savannah hadn’t realized existed. A gentle, patient, intuitive side. With all her heart, she prayed that more than Cruz’s good looks, the baby whose heart beat beneath hers would inherit this special quality.

Sample from chapter 10: Like a flame rushing along a fuse of dynamite, heat rushed over her. Heat so all consuming that she vaguely thought one of the sparks from the fireplace had leaped out of the hearth and landed on her. But it wasn’t a spark. It was Cruz. Cruz’s touch, Cruz’s kiss. Cruz’s body pressed so urgently against hers, hardening so provocatively. She hadn’t thought it possible to want him more than she already did. But it was, because of the hunger she felt was ravenous. There was no containing it. She didn’t even try.

Fortunes of Texas #3. 1999. Cruz Perez, wrangler, never thought of himself as ever being a father. Savannah Clark shows up at the Fortune Ranch and he discovers she's 3 months pregnant with his baby. She plans to raise her child without it's father. Her parents married because of her and there was little if any love. Cruze has an up hill fight to get her to accept that he loves her and wants their child.

I'm getting into reading cowboy stories I never thought I would enjoyed them so much. This story reveals the feeling of two people that guided by the impulse of a very passionate night have to suffer the consequences of expecting a child that my bring them together or will keep them apart. Savannah Clark had leaved the consequences herself, after her parents got married because of her and not for loved, she's being in the same situation but she has set her mind not to make the same mistake as her parents to be commit to marriage just for obligation...She had falling in love of Cruz Perez the very Hanson cowboy who trained horse at the Fortune Ranch, she is back for her best friend Vanessa Fortune's wedding and seeing him again has bring memories of their only night together that had left her with his child, but she is set not tell him of this child. She doesn't want him to propose her out of responsibility... She wants his love for eternity...Cruz is the Hanson cowboy that all women find so attractive for a passionate moment only and he knows that from many experiences of women locking form him for this reason. But he has found feelings that he had never had before for a women and he can't make up what all these feelings mean....Cruz is a man who keeps his responsibilities at high priority, but will this be enough to convince Savannah in to marriage....

A lot of events went down on the night of Bryan's christening party; the kidnapping of Bryan and Taylor, the second chances meeting of Lucy and Cam, and the conception night of Cruz and Savannah's future child. So this is Cruz and Savannah's love story. Cruz is Rosita the housekeeper's 28 year old son. He has always had a chip on his shoulder about not being good enough as his Fortune neighbors/employers.
This is about Cruz finding love and self respect. Savannah has a lot of childhood baggage from her unloving parents who only married and stayed together because of her accidental birth. She never wants a child to feel the terrible pressure and disappointment of being an unwanted child, so she lies so that Cruz doesn't have to marry her because of the child. She wasn't very smart about concealing the due date from Cruz so he quickly counts nine months to figure out that he is the father of the future child. Cute story and light reading.

Ahh, romancer, how you tease so well, especially when you're a Latin cowboy. I've read this book on a previous occasion (read the series), and it was lovely reading this book again. I'd love to have my own Cruz to take me to adventures known and unknown as he does with a very lucky lady of this book (Savannah). Anyway, it's a total love story, in which two lovers work through their pride and self-conscience behaviors to get their happily ever after.
