R.I.P. Van Winkle Part II

Rate this book
A NEW SERIES FROM THE AUTHOR OF SIX FEET FROM HELL - Master Sergeant Geoffrey Irving has demons. After an improbable visit from a deceased friend, he falls asleep. The world that he wakes up to ten years later is nothing like the one he left. The undead roam the world, driven by an unknown force and controlled by none other than the Headless Horseman himself. He must find out how to defeat them, what happened to his family, and most importantly, what the voices in his head want. A mashup of Rip Van Winkle, Sleepy Hollow, and zombies, R.I.P. Van Winkle is the first book in the new Dead Legends series by Joseph A. Coley.

Just an average Joe with an overactive imagination and a penchant for all things undead. Author of the Six Feet From Hell series as well as future works in progress.

A good start to a fresh new series. I believe this is the first military based zombie apocalypse story I've read and it was decent and quick moving. I'm looking forward to the continuation.

Finished only for a book challenge. Could you say cordite just one more time? I don't think it was mentioned enough. The only thing that was interesting was that this was written in 2015 and he mentions a plague coming from China.

Not my type of zombie story. The blurb brought me in, but I didn't like the occult direction the zombie apocalypse was based on. After a while, the book just became a chore to read. I won't be continuing the series.
