With this book, Lauren Faust illustrates step-by-step instructions on how to create everyone's favorite superpowered kindergartners, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup... but that's not all— the Professor, the Mayor, Sara Bellum, Ms. Keane, and plenty of villains (including Fuzzy Lumpkins, the Gangreen Gang, the Amoeba Boys, the Rowdyruff Boys, and personal favorite, Mojo Jojo) fill up the pages with simple guides on how to create nearly every citizen of Townsville.

There are plenty of helpful tips of how to sketch the cartoon's unique style, especially difficult action poses and little details not usually seen by the characters' profile. Of course, with a simple beginner's guide, it could be a little cut-and-dry, and while there are useful height guide charts included, there aren't any detailed instructions beyond "next, draw this line and shape", and sometimes proportions are a little off when trying to coordinate and replicate visual-to-hand.

This book is great for young, aspiring illustrators and animators looking for a way to practice their drawing skills with the characters made of sugar, spice, everything nice, and Chemical X. The concluding pages even encourages artists to write their own comic book!
