Knot Letting You Go

Rate this book
I wanted them. They wanted me. We all wanted each other. But…

Years later, I’m a completely different person, returning home with my new alpha, to pack. First though, I have to put an end to what the boys from my past started.

Fate though has other ideas about us being finished. Chance meetings, half truths and my impending heat make for interesting times. And the advice from my girls, about who I let into my heart and body, is as confusing as it sounds.

But what if we did get it all wrong? Like everything?

I guess I’m about to find out. Because when I find myself alone again, alphas that smell like falling rain, hot cinnamon donuts and campfire, who make pretty promises about not letting me go again might be the only ones that can save me from the tragedy of our past.

✨There's a few triggers with this one - including but not limited to age gap and reverse age gap, a lot of smoking hot sex and heat scenes, alphas hell bent on getting their omega, gaslighting, violence, swearing, discussions on past trauma including sexual assault. There is an existing relationship between two alpha males.✨

I’m dnf’ ing. There are sentences that make no sense. Even after rereading, I still don’t understand. It is choppy. She name drops people and places that I have no idea who they are. Just random uncles or employees or girls she went to school with… I’m not a fan of the writing style.

It’s in need of editing. Normally I don’t mind as long as the story is captivating, but I just couldn’t get into the story.

This just wasn't for me. Who needs apologies and groveling when the omega can just go into heat and everything is close to forgiven, all well and done? Me, I need apologies and some proper freakin groveling. Koz was the only MMC I kind of liked. Puck was getting there. I wasn't sold on where the FMC fit into the Talon/Hayes equation seeing how they seemed to care for & were more concerned about each other than the FMC but again, where is the groveling?

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️½

My alpha pines for her. It’s not like it’s a surprise. From the first time I saw her, I knew Raney Grady was mine. But since the moment I saw her again, I’ve been hard pressed not to go fucking ape-man, flip her over and fuck her until she screamed I was hers too.

Loved this book!! Be prepared for some heartache, but the eventual HEA (with a side of revenge) makes all the pain worth it. High-angst books that break me are my kryptonite, and this book delivers the goods.

There are rejected mates elements, written here as a full pack rejection. It’s an emotional journey; do not expect instant forgiveness for the betrayal the FMC, Raney, received. There may be moments you want to toss your Kindle across the room, but Puck and Koz, two of the MMCs, will give you the will to press forward. (I have already licked and claimed those two – the supportive and protective alphas Raney always deserved).

I was incredibly surprised by the lies and background machinations that led to all the pain and truths uncovered as the story progressed. There are moments when you will wonder if some of the MMCs are worthy of a second chance and see Raney grapple with her choices.

Highlight characters (outside the previously mentioned Puck and Koz) include the Scorned Omegas – women who have been significantly hurt in some way and are now banded together in solidarity. They are a little bit bad influence and a sane sounding board for Raney as she returns to those who broke her. I look forward to reading each of their stories in future books.

The romance is fast-burn and extremely hot. I am always a big fan of dirty talk, and this book is full of it—dirty and possessive talk. There are explicit MF, MFM, MM, and MMFM+ scenes, multiple heat sequences filled with growly alphas, and claimings.

I highly recommend this standalone omegaverse. It is a hefty read, coming in at over 500 pages, allowing for excellent character development and growth.

Genre: Contemporary Omegaverse
Tropes/Features: Second chances, pack rejection, betrayal, high angst, scent matches, age gap/reverse age gap, all in MMCs, twin flames, broken FMC, growly/possessive alphas, existing MM relationship between alphas, virgin MMC, hockey & MC elements, lies, redemption arc, forgiveness, accidental claiming, heats, knots, claiming bites
Narrator: Multiple 1st Person POV
Relationship Type: Why Choose MMFMM, fast burn, spicy (explicit heat sequences)
Book Type/Ending: Standalone in Scornedverse. HEA
TW/CW: Available in book

Zero stars. Abandoned at about 30%. I am not sure this was written by an actual person. So much of the word choice and sentence structure was very wrong, very off... this is not how people write who are familiar with standard written English or even with the way people talk. I swear this had to be written by AI and then also not reviewed by any kind of editor. The wrongness of the word choice and sentence structure coupled with the odd and jilting plot line kept pulling me out of the mostly uninteresting story. how does this thing have such a high rating on goodreads???

“Are you going to show them how incredible you are, micina? And let me see how you toy with them?” -Koz 🥵 It’s official. I have a new favorite leader of my book boyfriend gang.

Knot Letting You Go is soooo good! Couldn’t get enough! 🖤💜 The storyline is reels you in. You’ll go through a lot of emotions! The characters throughout the book are strong and Raney’s Dad, he had me almost wetting myself with laughter. I could picture and hear him perfectly. His language reminded me of a few fatherly figures and male friends I’ve had throughout my life.

The scenes that make your bits burn? Well if I listened to Closer by NIN at the same, I would’ve caught on 🔥 In a reverse harem/why choose situation, how many men do you think can fit on a Queen size bed? Asking for a friend. 🤔🤔

Raney, the FMC is awesome! I love her. For all the mental and physical pain in she endured in the past, Raney is a strong, smart and independent woman who knows her worth. I love the fact that Raney has no issues with her designation as an Omega. She has the soft side of an Omega but she is by no means submissive. The kind of Omega I love to read about. ♥️

The MMC’s are a delectable and lovable mix of Alpha’s. I’ll happily take one of each thank you very much! 😍 They are possessive and loving in every aspect that an Alpha should be. There was so much Alpha in the air throughout the book I was sure I could scent them all by the end of the book. 🥵🥵

I can’t wait to read Heidi’s story in book 2 in the Scornedverse series, Knot Again.

Lucy Scott Bryan does it again. A story that is so intriguing and drew me in. It kept me glued to it not letting me go, lol yes similar to the title. The story is jammed packed with action, drama, and suspense. Raney is an awesome FMC. She is feisty but yet oh so caring and sweet. The guys are fantastic. I think my absolute favorite was Koz. He was absolutely a dream. He is so incredibly protective and has that possessive personality that you just absolutely love. The story has so many twists and turns throughout it that it keeps you on the edge of your seat. The chemistry between them all is felt throughout the entire story. It is extremely well written and developed. The ending of this book was perfect. This is absolutely a must read.

I'm waffling back and forth between 3.5 and 4 stars. I enjoyed the story, but there were a couple of moments where I was pulled out of the story thinking, "Wait. That's not how that works.". As normal, this author did get a little verbose in her storytelling and I really think this story could have been told with less words since a couple of times, I zoned out because the inner dialogue kept going on and on.

I couldn't put it down. I always get so immersed in LSB books and I look forward to them every time. Raney was an incredibly well written character and she'll be hard to forget, plus her men-
Koz, Reid, Talon, Puck, and Hayes. I think Puck might've been my favorite but it's hard to choose so luckily I don't have to! Can't wait to see what LSB brings next!

Rejected mate = the lead alpha of the pack refused and rejected the h and forced the rest of the pack to do the same, except one who refused but he was technically underage and had no say.

Grovel = excluding the lead "alpha" the rest of the pack, years later, must grovel to get back in the good graces of the h and the h's father. Grovel was okay, but I felt that is you are rejecting your scent match at the order of another, how really alpha are you?? The only one who truly never rejected the h and was always working toward the h's best interest was the underage alpha (that the h kind of sort of statutorily R'ed as he was too young to "consent").

Turns out that the lead "alpha" had a neuro disease that he took medicine for that essentially medically castrated him and turned him into a beta, whomp whomp whomp...and the h was able to get a few licks in on the "alpha" so that was satisfying.

This book is okay, though i found the plot a bit strange... I don't know, just didn't make a lot of sense for the guys to abandon her. What I liked is that she had another Alpha, so she didn't spend years only crying over them, which is good. My favorites were Koz (duh) and Puck! As for Tas and Hayles, i thought they were too into their relationship and there's even a part were Tas confirms that they did replace Raney and it felt like they truly abandoned her. If she didn't show up again, I doubt they'd have gone after her. That for me is a big nono in a RH because I want the focus to be on the girl. Idk what's going on that there are so many authors putting MM relationships in the harem that take precedence over the FMC. Guys, you can write MM stories without needing to put the men in a poly situation.

Lucy Scott Bryan does it again!

This world is filled with deceit, heartbreak, and overcoming all odds. Each character has to learn to survive to gain their footing to finally start fighting for what they want and need in this game of life.

Raney is beautiful, strong willed, intelligent woman who gets handed a terrible deal. People think themselves better than her, are cruel to almost deadly, and she has to rebuild herself to survive, find love, and become the woman she was always supposed to be…. Which is loved.

Hayes and Talon have gone through the flames and came out burned and scarred. They manage to build a life, but it’s a house built out of cards and easily crashes down.

Koz is my favorite growls alpha. He’s wise, “touch her and face the consequences”, and absolutely like his strong but passionate personality.

All in all, a really good read. Every character has soo much depth. Great world building. Action packed, lots of steam, lots of knots, and a world that can have many more other character stories in the series.

Quality plot. Very character driven. A little too long. I could have done w less detail in certain aspects and more info in others sometimes. Weirdly enough.

I enjoyed the overall story but I felt like toward the middle endish it just got to a point I was skimming fast to be done.

I did like the characters and I liked how Reid got his

Good stuff

This book caught me completely off guard! I was totally expecting another RH Omegaverse story with the same standard storyline as most submissive omega books! NOPE! Not this one! Omg! It was so unexpected and unbelievably spicy. Raney is the most independent female main characters I’ve ever read in an omegaverse and the way she works with her Alphas! Oof! Some of the twists and turns this book took me on we’re just so unexpected and I loved every page of it! Well done LSB!

The Fight To Become Pack

WOW 😯 This story starts off with quite the emotional explosion 🤯🫣 It definitely sets the tone for what’s to come in the second part of the book. Raney is a strong woman, and it was amazing to see that fierce spirit & inner omega goddess shine throughout her story. Major drama happens in part 1 of the story, and then there were so many twists & turns that I didn’t see coming once we get to part 2. Watching Raney & her guys work on repairing their broken relationship was an emotionally exhausting journey, but seeing them find their HEA was 🥹🥰 It’s not all drama and heartbreak though, cause where’s the fun in that lol. If you want spice, this one MORE than delivers, right from the start 🔥 Out of allll of Raney’s guys though, I gotta say, Koz just gives off HUGE BDE, and I just melted for the way he unashamedly always took control, no matter the situation 😈🥵 Puck is a verrrry close 2nd, and honestly, I do believe he might’ve been my favorite. His determination & steadfastness, to make Raney his, was just swoon worthy 🙌🏻😍 I really loved the added dynamic that Talon & Hayes brought to the relationship though….with Raney & also with each other. The struggles they went through before Raney came back into their life were just heartbreaking 😢 It boils down to this….if you want a book that throws one unexpected curveball after another at you, this is your book, because on top of figuring how to become a pack together, they find themselves dealing with mystery, danger, intrigue, & shady AF “upstanding” citizens. If you want an Omegaverse story that shows that the pull between alphas & omegas may get romantically chaotic because of scent matches, but that doesn’t mean the guys don’t have to work for the love of their mate….then you’re in for a treat. The 2 epilogues tied up everything so perfectly, and gave us enough of a glimpse into the future so that we truly got a taste of their HEA, which I LOVED. I’m also so excited to read Heidi’s story next! There was just the right amount of spotlight put on our secondary characters so that they supported our main characters just right, but also got us invested in learning their stories 🥰 Everything about this OV story is just going to pull you in & keep at you until the very last page ❤️

Once again Lucy has sucked me in with this book. She writes so well that your invested after the first chapter!

Rainey has been betrayed and rejected in the biggest way when she thought she was going to get her forever. Years later Rainey finds her new alpha, however she must go back into the past in order to formally end her old pack if she wants to start a new one. Turns out nothing was as it seems and there is always two sides of a story!

What a ride

This was a great book to read. Really enjoyed it a lot!

Some Pros:
I love the twists and turns the story took. There so many wtf moments that really brought everything together at a the end.

I believed the omegas and some of the alphas recovery from trauma. Many authors skip o er that part or let biology fix everything and it’s just not believable for me. This author handled the trauma well.

I believed the buildup to the relationships and how each relationship was different.

The spicy scenes were great! They were not cookie cutter and overdone.

The action scenes and plot driven moments were well written as well.

Cons:

The first couple of chapters were confusing. I didn’t understand the relationship with her Mom and Dad. I thought the way the scenes were written weren’t fully explained and tied back to the plot or world building. I thought the behavior by her father was extreme and I didn’t understand the point of it. But once I got past those first two chapters the book really picked up for me.

There were a couple of places where I thought the explanations came a little too late and lessened the impact.

I think the way the final Alphas trauma was ended without real closure wasn’t great for me. I wish that had been tied up more, but maybe I’m future books?

Otherwise a solid 4.5 stars from me.

Lucy is a QUEEN when it comes to omegaverse! I was first introduced this year to this romance trope with her book, The Gift, and have loved this trope since!
This book truly had it all. It had a great plot, suspense , fantastic character and world building, and twists I NEVER saw coming ! The spice is OFF THE CHARTS HOT, I’m talking top notch.
Raney did not have it easy finding her way together with her pack. She was ripped away from them when she turned 20, and reunited 4 years later. But when they are reunited, everything is different. She isn’t the same. They aren’t the same. And she isn’t alone this time, she has an alpha.
There were so many secrets and so many elements thrown in I could have never anticipated, but it was done so well !
I truly enjoyed this book, I love Raney! As far as my favorite alpha? I can’t even begin to choose. Puck is high up there!
This book will definitely suck you in. Be prepared for angst, but it is all so worth it ! I can’t wait for more !

Knot Letting You Go is the first book in the Scornedverse Series. It Is a standalone, why choose, omegaverse romance with age-gap, reverse age-gap, friends to lovers, and so much more.

This is such a fantastic story. From the incredible writing, flow, characters, storytelling, and emotional journey, to the action, betrayal, and unpredictability, I loved it all.

Raney is a fabulous FMC. I loved her personality and strength of character. I loved how she pushes through everything that life throws her way. Of course I loved the guys too! The chemistry between Raney and the guys is HOT and I loved the way their relationships developed through time and hardships.

I would 1000% recommend this book and consider it a Must Read! I am very excited for more terrific stories from this wonderful author.

Oh my goodness this book was heartache and healing all over!
Raney is an omega that finally had a her alphas, her pack! And then everything changed, she's broken body and mind and her head alpha rejects her whilst she's still unconscious.
Years later she's built herself back up and is back to face them and finally move forward with her new Alpha. But of course things can never be that easy!
I was honestly surprised by the twists and turns this book took, it kept me in the tips of my toes toes the whole time!
And lets not forget the Scorned Girls!!! I CANNOT wait for their books!

Raney

Strap in cuz this book is thicc. It is the gritty, spicy, dark Omegaverse story we have come to expect from LSB and she did not disappoint. Raney and her pack go through a lot of heartache and strife to get together but in the end they get their HEA.

Be prepared to be dragged through the gambit of emotions with Raney (FMC) but trust me when I say that she's definitely no victim in this book. She starts her story being sweet (which she keeps in some form throughout the book) but events and circumstances changed her but for me it made her a stronger character but she was still underestimated by the majority of the folks in this book. That in itself made her a force to be reckoned with I thought. Can we just thank the book gods (lol) for Koz..........the man was pure fire!! Swoon he was hot Alpha!! I cant tell how many WTH and OMG moments I had reading this book but it was a lot!! The plot twists were so bloody good! I just loved this starts to this series and I'm curious to see what will happen next now.

This story had me hooked right away. Literally from the first chapter. Really loved Raney. I love when it’s a strong main character. I’ll say I so loved the ending also. I was so invested into this story. Absolutely loved Raney’s dad. Another fantastic character. Definitely wasn’t expecting some of the parts. No spoilers here as much as I want to say them. Highly recommended story. So so good!!!

Steam: 4.5/5
Strong Language: 4/5
Characters: 5/5
Plot: 5/5

Knot Letting You Go by Lucy Scott Bryan is the first book in the ScornedVerse series. They are standalone novels with crossover characters.

Raney had her whole life mapped out as a young adult. She knew what she wanted - to pack. Even better, she had the perfect guys all ready to claim. Then tragic circumstances broke their bond and her heart was shattered. Years later, she is returning home with her new Alpha to dissolve the fledgling pack that discarded her. She’s rebuilt herself stronger & more resilient than before. Nothing & no one is going to prevent her from accomplishing her dreams.

Koz is Raney’s Alpha and man of mystery. He lives just a touch outside the law and has zero f’s to give for anyone who disrespects his omega. Just don’t ask him to share. (Swoon - party of me)

Puck, Hayes, Talon, and Reid are a part of Raney’s past and maybe her future if fate has anything to say about it. They continually get thrown together but not all reunions are blissful or sweet.

The guys & Raney come to realize that they have all grown and need to remember who they are now and how they got there. Secrets and lies abound from both the past & present and could destroy their future.

A huge nod to The Scorned Girls who shone brilliantly in this book full of rich characters. I can not wait to read each of your stories.
Puck, my heart is forever yours even without season tickets - but a girl would do a whole lot to get them. 😉

Another fantastic read by Lucy!!
She pulls us in from the start and I didn't want to stop reading!!
This book also gave me all the feels.
We got action, drama, humor and steam!
I loved Raney! She was sassy and sweet.
Koz, Reid,Talon, Puck, and Hayes were the guys.
Koz may have been my favorite, but I loved each of them.
They go through a lot of twists and turns to all come together. The personal growth of each character as well as the building relationships made the journey worth it.
I loved it!

I went into this not realizing it was part MC romance. It does not disappoint. This book tore me up and the beginning then put my heart back together again. Puck is my absolute favorite. He was always about Raney and adore it so much! Reid was the most disappointing. His character infuriated me and shook me to my core. I am so glad Raney got her heart put back together, even after being extremely hurt. Love anything Lucy writes!!

This was a really good omegaverse why choose. I love that it wasn’t just RH, but why choose. This was a darker and more angsty omegaverse than I’ve been reading lately.

One of the MMCs is an international arms dealer, so that naturally adds a darker tint to it. Also, the FMC’s father is the head of an MC that likely participates in its fair share of shady activities too.

This is a bit of a second chance romance, which usually isn’t my thing. There was a LOT of hurt for the FMC, but also a lot of comfort. I really enjoyed how the story played out and the reasoning and backstory behind the MMC’s past behavior. The FMC was a mix of broken and vulnerable as well as strong and resilient. She gave sass and was unapologetically herself at all times.

This book was full of plot twists, tension, misunderstandings, pop-culture references, fight scenes, alpha-hole posturing, and so much more.

take everything you think you know what this book is going to be about and throw it out the window bc it’s so much more and BETTER. i thought this was going to be a sweet 2nd chance/rejected mate OV, but it was so much better than that bc i was not expecting Koz or The Fallen. they both add something that makes this book so much grittier.

and Koz just might be one of my top fav book boyfriends now. his BD Alpha Energy is off the charts and how’s he obsessed with Raney and puts her above all else.

i don’t want to give too much away, but this book had me locked in so quickly. it’ll break your heart at some points for what they all went through, but revenge is had. and this book is high heat 🔥 almost the entire time.

So this was my first Omegaverse book and...just wow! I guess I didn't understand the concept of Omegaverse until I read it. I always assumed it was shifters, but I was wrong. The animalistic ways of the pack members were pretty hot. These boys had it bad for Raney and it showed! I hated watching her go through the things she did, but she came out on top with the pack she ended up with and I'm happy for her. Can't wait to read her friend Heidi's story. ♥️
