Dragon slaying isn’t for the faint of heart, but it suits Soleil Eldemyer just fine. Sure, the pay isn’t great, and the hazards are plentiful, but overall, things are going well for the mage… until Davyn and Lukas Greybrow walk back into her life.Soleil never expected to meet the infuriating brothers again, and certainly not while she was tied to a sacrificial pyre. Not only do they sabotage the job with their strange dragon-whispering twin gift, but they deliver unsettling Soleil’s friend is in trouble. Now they’re working together as part of a larger team aboard the Greybrow’s ship, tasked with finding a legendary pirate’s treasure that’s the key to saving the group of historians that were arrested for excavating in forbidden territory. And Soleil isn’t the only one disconcerted by the new arrangement. It’s been four years since Davyn and Lukas have seen “little Sunny,” and she’s not so little anymore. The rough-and-tumble, wild-haired friend from their youth is gone, and in her place is a capable slayer with a sharp tongue and a captivating smile. The brothers vow they’ll never let a woman come between them, especially when that woman is Soleil—but that’s something that’s easier said than done. Thankfully, a bickering crew, a vengeful pirate, and an infamous sea monster are all more than willing to distract them from their rivalry. They’re heading into perilous waters, but with the Greybrow brothers at the helm, what could possibly go wrong? Greybrow Brothers is a nautical fantasy adventure full of romance, banter, and peril on the high seas. The series may be read alone or after the original Silver & Orchids books.
Shari L. Tapscott writes young adult fantasy and humorous contemporary fiction. When she's not writing or reading, she enjoys gardening, making soap, and pretending she can sing.
She loves white chocolate mochas, furry animals, spending time with her family, and characters who refuse to behave.
Tapscott lives in western Colorado with her husband, son, daughter, and two very spoiled Saint Bernards.
This was cute! A fun start to a new series. I liked the characters, it was nice returning to the world from the Silver & Orchids series. Soleil is a likable heroine, but I'm not a super big fan of love triangles so the romance part wasn't my favorite. I am looking forward to the rest of the trilogy. I think Ms. Tapscott is a wonderful storyteller, I always enjoy reading her books.
Content PG+ Mild romance, no language and mild violence. Some nudity when Soleil visits a bathhouse.
The Silver & Orchids series is my favorite of all time and I couldn’t be more excited to enter this world again. With that being said, I went into this with a lot of fear (will it hold up to the original series?) and attempted to have an open mind (because we know what a rollercoaster for the heart the last one was!). I’ve never been that interested in books about ships, sailing oceans, or pirates until Shari. There is something about the way she describes the scenery and events that makes me crave this adventure long after finishing the book.
I typed these notes while I was reading:
1. The twin gift is so fun and clever. I love their special ability with animals. Love, love, love it. Plus, it gets better. 2. I enjoyed the multiple POVs. However, they make it extra tricky to figure out who Soleil will pick. Every time I thought I had it figured out, a new chapter had me second guessing. 3. “Working hard to ignore the man across from me”. I think at this point I can officially let my heart fall in love with the right brother.
The action really picks up and starts drawing you in just in time for the book to end… which has me anxious for book two! I was lucky enough to be a part of the ARC team, and thank goodness because I didn’t want to wait a minute longer than I had to to start this series! It was a slightly slow start (world building, catching us up on the characters’ history, and setting the stage was enjoyable nonetheless) and it definitely met my expectations and then some. Great book and I’m not ready for it to be over!
Like most of the Shari Tapscott books I’ve read, this trilogy is an action-packed romance. It’s fast paced and engaging with multiple romances weaved in. I didn’t like that it started out with a love triangle (I am NOT a fan of those), but it resolves without excessive time, indecision, and distress.
It’s a nautical story with treasure hunters, dragons, magic, kidnapped princesses, and moll trolls. It was thoroughly entertaining and I enjoyed it.
Content: I will warn that there are a few scenes steamier than I prefer, despite not going beyond kissing and holding. There is no foul language. There is some violence, but it’s not excessive. There is magic. There are no references to faith or God.
(4.5 stars) - the entertaining adventures continue!
Soleil grew up with the Greybrow brothers, & when they encounter each other again, things are both the same ... and different
Of course, while they're all figuring out their updated relationships, there's a rescue & treasure search to add to the excitement!
It's not necessary to have read the original Moss Forest Orchid series to enjoy this - I'd actually forgotten a lot, despite having read the series multiple times. It's amusing to see the offspring of favorite characters or what became of so-and-so, but not in a way that will make new readers feel left out.
It does end very quickly after one major event as the group is transitioning to another, but it's more like midstride rather than cliffhanging. I will definitely be watching the release calendar for book 2!
I’m so glad I randomly re-read the Silver and Orchids series this year. Then I was ready for this book when Shari Tapscott announced it a few weeks later! That series is my favorite of her books, so I’ve been looking forward to this!
Love triangles aren’t my favorite anymore, but its usually obvious who will end up together, so I also don’t mind them. However, the one in Silver and Orchids got me GOOD. So even though I’m pretty sure how this one is gonna go… I just can’t be sure because I’ve been fooled in this fantasy world before! Some cute swoony things happening here on the romance side. I really liked having multiple points of view. The set up for the fantasy plot in this story was fun, but I wasn’t a fan of the cliff hanger ending. The story just ends right in the middle of the adventure with nothing really solved at all.
I love Shari Tapscott’s books. She’s such a great storyteller! I can’t wait for the rest of the story to come out. (More like 3.5 stars for me because the ending really does just stop without anything remotely settled.)
"I stand against the rail, looking across the vast sea. A cool breeze caresses my face as the Greybrown Serpent rolls in the waves. The sun sits low, kissing the white clouds that float over the horizon. It's a perfect afternoon-golden, warm, and full of expectation. Our adventure has begun."
I had so much fun reading Corsair's Curse that I don't even know where to start. Shari's Silver & Orchids series is one of my favorites and I was super excited when she announced we would be following the Greybrow twins in a whole new adventure. You don't have to read the aforementioned series to enjoy this one, but why miss out on the awesomeness?
This series starter was brimming with romance, action, and intrigue. I seriously gasped when it ended. I didn't want it to be over! Like any woman in her right mind, I am now in love with the fictional Greybrow brothers. It's easy to see why Soliel is so smitten with them. However, I enjoyed how she kept them on their toes.
5/5 stars
*I received a complimentary ARC from the author. All opinions expressed are my own.
Corsair’s Curse is a spinoff of the Silver and Orchids series, but you definitely don’t have to have read the first series to understand and enjoy this book. However, if you’ve read the other series then there are cameos from the previous books to enjoy.
While the chapters in Corsair’s Curse have three different points of view, the book still flows nicely and isn’t confusing. I enjoyed having the different POVs, and getting to know the main characters’ thoughts. Especially when they were about the love triangle. I usually hate love triangles, but I thought that the one in this book was well done and fit well with the story.
Read Corsair’s Curse if you like action, adventure, romance, pirates, dragon slayers, and pet dragons.
These books are so much fun, they have action and adventure and cute little romances that pull you in so well.
While I don’t love a love triangle, I do have to say that this one was done really well. It wasn’t frustrating or annoying and to be honest, it wasn’t really a who will she pick kind of love triangle. It was more of a past vs. present kind of love triangle. Watching Soliel get reacquainted with the guys from her past was so cute and fun, and even better that they were on an adventure while doing it.
I love an adventure. The Silver and Orchid’s books have always completely delivered on that.
I loved the series this one is based off of! It’s one of my favorites of all time. When I saw that they were making a spin off series you could not color me more excited!
This did not disappoint! My only complaint was that at times it moved to fast. It was like parts of the story had the fast forward button turned on. Other then that, I loved it!!
I didn't mean to read it so quickly, but Tapscott writes such fun books! I love how she doesn't waffle around for the sake of it. And it is SUCH a treat to be back in the Silver and Orchids world 😍
I wanted to like this story but it is very slow. The female main character is well written and I enjoyed the parts written from her perspective. However, the male characters leave a lot to be desired. I may read the next book in the series just to see if it improves.
I liked it, but wish I would have liked it more. I just thought there were a lot of characters introduced and didn't enjoy the love-triangle aspects all that much. A little rushed at the end. I am looking forward to the next book.
"We can find anything - anything." His grin becomes a smirk. "Even your icy heart. Where do you think you lost it? And if I find it, can I keep it?"
Read if you like: * Multiple POV (both Greybrow brothers and Soleil) * Flirty Banter * Chemistry and Tension * Clean Romance (kisses only) * Reverse Grumpy/Sunshine * Not exactly a stand alone because the adventures continues, but no big cliffhanger either * Love Triangle (which I normally don't seek out, however, if Shari Tapscott writes it all bets are off and I'm in!)
Shari Tapscott's Silver & Orchids series is one of my all-time favorites, so when I heard she was writing a spin-off series featuring the twin sons of my all time favorite MMC, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint (aside from the fact that I wish I had the whole series right now)! I especially love that Avery ended up with a son who is so much like him!!!
Let me introduce you to the Greybrow brothers...
Davyn: (according to Soleil) "The years have been kind to him. Time has chiseled away the boyish softness I remember, leaving a startlingly handsome face with the barest hint of a shadow along his jaw. Dark lashes and dark brows complement his slate-blue eyes. His hair is a walnut shade, deeper than his brother's. It's also longer than he used to wear it. The roguish waves now tumble to his shoulders, gloriously thick. Davyn is the quiet one - the reasonable one. He doesn't argue, and he doesn't like confrontation. But the look he's giving me makes me wonder if he hasn't changed in the last four years."
Lukas: (according to Soleil) "Lukas grins, delighted. His features are lighter than Davyn's. His eyes are bright, warm blue instead of slate, and his hair is golden in the sunlight. He's shorter than his brother by a few inches, standing at about six-foot. His shoulders are a little narrower than Davyn's, too, and his features are softer. He's not cherubic, and no one would describe him as beautiful. But his crooked smile gives him a roguish air, and that's where his allure lies. He's very handsome."
After reading that I'm sure you can see why there is a little bit of a love triangle. What's a girl to do?
Shari has a way of creating new and exciting worlds and then instantly making you feel at home in them, while simultaneously feeding the desire to learn more at every turn. Her characters come alive on the page so quickly that it takes no time at all to become invested.
Favorites: * "Perhaps you mean delightfully roguish?" * The twin gift(s) * "I never said I was nice Sunshine." * Gentleman's Agreement * "You deserve daughters. Five of them, all stunningly beautiful." * "Wretched peacock" * "Lukas's smile is lopsided and charming. Always charming. I might as well forgive him. It's not like he's going to give me a choice." * Granf (the inadvertent wingman) * "Your hand is holding my hand hostage." * "Kiss me, Sunshine."
Book 2: Isle of Sorrows comes out in March and you had better believe I've got that day marked on my reading calendar!
I was so excited to find out we were getting a spin off from the Silver & Orchids series as it’s one of my favorites! It’s not easy these days to find a series (or author) who can create a story full of adventure and romance without all the language and explicit descriptions but Shari L. Tapscott does this masterfully.
With this being the first book in a new series there was quite a bit of time devoted to world building. However this is you be expected as it’s a new plot line that takes place with the children of the characters from Silver and Orchids. It really drew me in and had me excited for what’s to come.
While the story was fantastic there are a couple of things it would have been nice to be included. Particularly, I would have loved a reminder of the various characters from the previous series. We know this series is centered around the children from the previous one, but it doesn’t automatically connect the dots between children and parents. It took me several chapters to figure it all out and even then I went back and looked at the previous series just to be sure I wasn’t confused.
I would have loved to see more of the previous characters and what they are doing now. I know the story is centered around their children but I feel like having them play a larger role would have tied the two series together more cohesively.
On the flip side there were a couple of things I was overjoyed to see in this book. So often these days even if a story is technically about a male character, it might still be told from the point of view of the female main character. Don’t get me wrong I love having that perspective, it would be nice though to see it through the eyes of someone else. However Corsair’s Curse is told from THREE separate POV’s. This series is called the Greybrow brothers, and it would have been sad to not get any part of the story from one of their perspectives. We get the story told through the eyes of BOTH brothers though (as well as the female main character) and I love it! Since part of the story centers around the development of a romantic relationship, hearing the thoughts and feelings of bother brothers as well as the female’s POV adds more intensity to it as it develops. I truly hope she keeps up these multiple POVs though out the series. It really helps to flesh out the full story.
I’m really excited to see where this story goes in the next book.
Just to be aware there’sa bit of a cliff hanger at the end. Not overly dramatic but still there.
Many thanks to the author for providing me an ARC of the fantastic book 😊
POTENTIAL SPOILERS. If you haven’t read Moss Forest Orchid from the Silver & Orchids series I recommend reading it first and then you’ll be ready (and really eager) to jump into this story!
The couples in the Silver & Orchids series have children and this is book 1 of their stories. And boy, this one was a FUN ride!! If you haven’t read Moss Forest Orchid, definitely read that series first so you’ll have the context of who everyone is and how they got where they are. It’s also SUPER fun to recognize the parents in the traits of the kids. Lukas, a mini me of his father, stole my heart from the beginning!
So here’s the bit about this book. Soleil and her brother Garret are dragon hunters. The Greybrow twins can speak to animals! Both are hired to go save Sebastian’s daughter. When they were younger, Soleil used to have a major crush on Davyn but a few years have passed and the twins are no longer gangly… they’ve grown into their personalities and turned into MEN. Making Soleil a bit self conscious. (For reasons you’ll understand when you read it.) Both boys are interested in her, sort of for different reasons, and it’s super fun to see how she responds to each. She’s actually quite against a romance, but they don’t make it easy on her!!! One is an honorable, gallant gentleman and the captain of the ship that she’s always been hopelessly in love with. The other is little more roguish but no less honorable and gentlemanly. But that mischievous spark gets me every time and I’m pretty sure “Sunny” can’t resist him either. 🤪 As always with a Shari Tapscott book you can count on loads of fun, a wide range of emotions and feelings (I almost cried for Soleil out of utter despair 😩 at one point which turned into major butterflies and sparks upon the resolution), a clean romance, no foul language, lots of chemistry and tension, and just a fun adventure! These are just the best types of YA/ Fantasy for all age readers! I cannot WAIT til book 2! Like literally! 😂
Christmas came early for me this year as I was graciously granted a copy of Corsair’s Curse as an ARC to review. Shari’s work never disappoints, and this book was one glorious romp across the sea and down memory lane. A true delight to read, and one perfectly suited to the family memories and nostalgia of the Christmas season with guest appearances by Sebastian, Flink, and others from the original Silver and Orchid series. But on to the nitty-gritty on Corsair’s Curse:
Soleil is a dragon slayer. Or, at least, she’s the bait to draw in the dragons so her (much larger) brother can slay them. But she is certainly no damsel in distress, and when she is cast in that role by two heroic men from her past who seem to think she can’t handle herself…well, it sets off a series of events filled with comedy that ends in the tragedy of a cliff-hanger. What’s going on with Cassandra Marie? Will we have three couples at the end of this series (cuz, like, I want to see more of Felicity)? And when will Soleil finally admit that Lukas is (just like his charming father was for Lucia) the perfect sunshine to her grumpy? Tragically, readers must wait impatiently, like a greedy dragon, for the treasure of another installment from the Greybrow brothers. But the wait is not as long as one might fear. Isle of Sorrows is scheduled for a March 29 release, so read this book so you can be all caught up on the antics of Sunny, Lukas, and Davyn and fully prepared to stan whichever brother you prefer. Personally, I like bad-boy vibes, roguish charm, and with just a hint of danger, so you know who I’m rooting for.
I honestly cannot recommend this book highly enough. Read if you like:
*grumpy/sunshine vibes *friends (rivals?) to lovers *he falls first *love triangles *touch her and die *cute animal companions *banter for dayssss
I went out of my way to read the OG Silver and Orchids: four books back to back, despite hating love triangles. All in preparation for this book and this series.
And I’m kind of torn. I’m not sure I care for Soleil. She’s just inexplicably angry and pissy. Really not a good look. I really am not sure about Lukas. He’s kind of funny and charming. But then he does stuff like make disparaging remarks about his brother to Soleil. Like, if he thinks so little of his brother, why basically live with him. They could do their own things and go their separate ways. But he doesn’t. Instead he insists on being called captain, even though he’s not. He insists on acting like a captain, even though he’s not. And it’s because he’s jealous of his brother? Grow up.
And Davyn … I’m not sure. I could hold it against him that he wasn’t smitten with Soleil when they were young, but I’m not going to. People grow (maybe not Lukas) and things change. He at least seemed more mature and acted his age. Though, his side love interest… for the love Ms Tapscott, please don’t make that a thing. He doesn’t love her and it’s quite insulting what he did. I’m not sure I can recover from that ship.
There wasn’t much adventure yet. Just laying the groundwork. But as another reviewer said, this feels a lot like Silver and Orchids 2.0. Crazy echoes. Similar situation with a girl who can’t decide and men fighting over her. But she’s hung up on titles and class. We think she’s going to be with one, but then kisses the other. And I so hate love triangles. So this book just confuses me.
I wanted to like it. Because I adore Ms Tapscott’s work. But I’m not sure I’m feeling it yet. Maybe as the story progresses…. But the thing with the brothers. Gives me the ick. And a little déjà vu.
I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to Tapscott for penning an enthralling tale that has capsized my boredom and rekindled my love for reading.
While I enjoy many authors, lately, I've tried dozens of books that ranged from good to merely satisfactory, if I could even manage to finish them at all. I just hit a slump where nothing I picked up or tried to listen to aroused much thrill or intrigue. Until this book.
Everyone has their reading preferences. Mine just so happens to be getting entangled in adventure and romance with splashes of humor, without needless wordage to wade through to get to the better parts.
World-building is a plus if I can find it, and I was pleasantly surprised that this book offered just that, but in a clear and directive manner that didn't span dozens of pages to ascribe descriptions to locations. Sorry, this just isn't my cup of tea.
Tapscott managed to weave a tale that didn't grow stale at any point but also kept me on my toes, anticipating the next page. I enjoyed the love triangle, but I was glad it wasn't overdone or left with the main character indecisive.
Maybe others will disagree with my stamp of approval, but I can't stress how long it's been since I've finished a book in one day. This book was just the jewel I've been searching for. Love the plot, depth, and mostly, I enjoyed the characters.
When it was hinted at the end of the Silver and Orchid series that another story was going to take place years after, I was thrilled! It’s about the Greybrow twins and their childhood friends, mainly Soleil and her brother.
Immediately when the twins are introduced, I thought of one thing. Though they aren’t similar in looks or personality even, they were going to give Soleil a swoony heartache, and they sure did! The suspense around who she might end up with is still a mystery and I can’t wait to see who she ends up with!
Davyn and Lukas reminded me so much of Avery their father and their uncle, Sebastian. Davyn was more like Sebastian, a little serious and proper and Lukas was almost straight up like his father (especially when it came to Soleil😂). The banter she had with the twins was so funny and cute 😆. I liked Soleil and her plight was sometimes painful to read, in a good way. I have to say, I did get a little annoyed at Lukas for not stopping his teasing or giving her a nickname when she insisted it and thought that he should’ve respected that a little more, but overall, they were good men and I can’t wait to read more about them!!
(About the twins being like their father and uncle, I can’t help but wonder if the twins stories in romance aspect might be similar like them as well🧐)
I loved this book and it’s a perfect set up for the next books in this series and I can’t wait for more🤞🏻💝.
I received an ARC and these are my own thoughts!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Beautifullllllll. Full of sea adventures and captains, charm, swagger, dragons, and a prickly heroine who’s a dragon slayer?! Say less.
I am the first to admit I am not always a fan of love triangles, and sibling rivalries in romance stress me out. But NOT HERE LADIES AND GENTS. No caricatures or plot prop drama. Tapscott writes each character so well, they each have their own dignity about them. So you’d follow all three of their stories no matter where they lead.
I obvs have the couple I want together but I really trust each one will get the person and life they need. In the last series I even switched sides (gasp) because as the character healed you kind of did too, and began to see her in a new light. That’s romance I’m down for and am ready to see again.
So fun to read about the next gen!! Silver and Orchids cast as parents delivered way better than I could have imagined.
Lastly, I’ll add that while this book is not a stand alone, it isn’t a steep cliffhanger. Do I want more? Please. Yes. But it was a satisfying end point that let’s you sleep at night while you check and recheck the release date of book 2.
overview: I was so excited to read this book and was enjoying it but then the book started focusing on the romance between Soleil and the wrong brother… he started giving me ick, and was kinda manipulative and insensitive, not to mention kept trying to touch Soleil when she would tell him to stop. There’s a scene between them where he grabs her hand and won’t let go, even though she made it clear she didn’t want him to hold her hand… then he was like “technically I’m not touching you” and started talking about how touching can be a feeling and a physical thing. It made me kinda uncomfortable tbh. I stopped seeing him as a romantic interest and couldn’t fathom reading the rest of the book/series — especially when I found out that they’re endgame! Sad :(
writing: this book feels exotic, decadent, and fresh; most likely due to the seaside and ship setting! I’m sad to miss out on it — maybe I’ll check out a different series of this authoress’.
content: some romantic tension, kisses and touches, nothing explicit. Mentions of dragons, curses, and magic. No language to note.
At the end of the Silver and Orchids series Lucia and Avery are expecting twins. (There is a bonus scene epilogue for readers who join Shari Tapscott's newsletter.) The twins are grown men in this series and the eldest Davyn is the captain of the Greybrow Serpent while his brother, Lukas, is the quartermaster. Sebastian and Adeline Thane's daughter has been capture while on an expedition and the ransom is a priceless tomb. Lord Thane has asked the Greybrow brothers to find the tomb and to help rescue her. Soliel and Garrett, (Yancey's children), are asked to join the mission. With their background as dragonslayers, Lord Thane hopes they will be able to fight off the monsters that lurk in dangerous waters. While the crew travels into foreign waters, there is romance, betrayal, and unexpected discoveries, but not the tomb. The question is what will happen if the tomb is not found in time and which Greybrow brother will win Soliel's heart? Unfortunately for readers, they will have to wait for book 2 to find more answers as book 1 is a cliffhanger. This is a light and fun high-seas adventure full of brave heroines, handsome heroes, romances, and Flink!
Drats! There's a doozy of a cliffhanger! This story runs very smoothly with interesting minor characters adding to the plot, a really fun read! But take in the Greybrow brothers, twins that are not alike, and both altogether very interesting :) Meeting their childhood friend in strange circumstances sets the tone. Soleil does get on your every nerve, the young woman who wants distance herself from her childhood nicknames of Sunshine and Sunny, with a sharp tongue and over the top self-confidence that will lead to trouble. I liked that the chapters were from different points of view from the main characters, but kept the story moving. I am sure there's more of that in book two! Enjoy this seafaring ride, with pirates, and betrayals, and frustrations at how Soleil can be the way she acts :)
Silver and Orchids is my very favorite series -- I love Lucia, Avery, Sebastian, Adeline, Flink, and all the other characters. It has such a perfect blend of adventure, romance, drama, and humor. I have been so excited for the Greybrow Brothers books, and now, after reading Corsairs Curse, I know it will be a favorite series as well.
Shari Tapscott is such a gifted storyteller -- she creates amazing worlds and incredible characters. In this series, she perfectly weaves a new generation of characters into the same world as the Silver and Orchids series. Soleil, Garret, Davyn, and Lukas are full of life and personality; they share traits with their parents but are on their own adventures and are definitely unique. I cannot wait to see what happens over the course of this series -- I know it will involve laughing, swoon-worthy romance, intrigue, and more!
This is a fun read, with action, witty banter, and fun family relationships. I enjoyed meeting the second generation of Greybrows, Thanes, and Eldemyers, but . . . this seems like the Silver and Orchids series 2.0, with very few differences between the main characters. The plot is a bit different, but the characters’ motivation, flaws, and worries seem to be the exact same as the preceding series. And, although this is a fun read, it's all fluff to me—nothing that translates to real life. If I hadn’t read the Silver and Orchids, this would be a four. Since I have, it was a three. I do want to know how the rest of the series turns out, but with the similarities to Silver and Orchids and lack of emotional connection points, it's a fun way to spend my time, not a "I need the next book right now."
I received an advanced review copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
Love triangles are not my favorite trope. In fact, they are not in the top 100 if there are in fact 100 trope types. MAJOR cliffhanger. Soleil and her brother are dragon slayers. She has hidden magic! Love that!! Enter love rival brothers Davyn and Lukas. IMO I love Davyn! And so did Soleil until she was forced on the open sea with both of them. Which one will she pick?! But that's not the entire story, thankfully. In true Shari fashion, this is an adventure more than a romance to my great relief!! I love stories on the open sea! This one didn't disappoint. Disclaimer: love triangle, cliffhanger, rogues, mercenaries, magic, dragons, all kinds of animals and unusual creates, kidnapping, brother's bargaining for a woman, and swoony pirates!! I'll continue with the series in hopes the triangle is solved and the next book doesn't end so abruptly (reasons for 3 stars).
I enjoy Shari L. Tapscott books so much. This one is no exception. It is the first part of a trilogy. The second one just came out and the 3rd one comes out in May, so soon you’ll be able to read them all!
If you love adventure and love and traveling across the seas, and a bit of magic then this one is for you. I am so excited to read book 2! I don’t want to give anything away but let me just say that I LOVE Soleil and the Greybrow brothers. Their banter between each other is so much fun. There are dragons and pirates, mythical creatures and magic. It is so much fun. Don’t just take my word for it. Buy it, read it, and see for yourself! It isn’t standalone so be prepared to want to binge the first two and be ready for the third!
This book is AWESOME! I love it!! It has absolutely everything you could possibly want in a sequel series to Silver & Orchids- the fun banter, the adventure, the awesome characters, and even a well-loved lesser dragon! It was so much fun to be back on board the Greybrow Serpent while getting to know Davyn, Lukas, and Soilel. I absolutely loved every second of reading their adventures thus far and can't hardly wait for the next book! If you enjoyed Silver & Orchids, you won't want to miss this series! If you haven't read Silver & Orchids... Well, you should! But this book could easily be read on it's own if you haven't. I highly recommend them all!
The start of a new adventure aboard the Greybrow Serpent and you won't want to miss it!
It was so fun getting to meet Lukas, Davyn and Soleil in this book as well as see some familiar faces from the Silver and Orchid series. There is a little bit of everything in this story: twin brothers, a pretty girl for them to fight over, banter between characters, pirates, rumors of a curse, magic and more! But you need to read it to find out!
Adventurous and fun clean read! If you haven't read the previous series that's okay, this one can be enjoyed on its own. Although I recommend reading both series just cause they are all awesome books!
