I'm a New Zealander from Auckland, with dual citizenship (NZ and Croatia). I've also lived in Kerikeri, Singapore and Papua New Guinea.
CAREER PATH: I started off as a Graphic Designer, then went to Auckland University, where I got a BA degree in Art History and Italian Studies and a post-graduate Honors degree in Art History. I worked in the Art History field, then became a full-time artist, doing commissions. I eventually lost all of my senses and gave it up to be a self-published writer, publishing my first book in 2011. Though, earlier in 2023 I returned to art, shelving being a writer since book pirates made it impossible to earn a living from my work, excessively pirating my books. They basically broke my spirit. However, a very nice reader spurred me on to try again, so I'm attempting to revive my writing career.
BAD HABITS: I'm a major procrastinator, I stay up way too late, and I get distracted far too easily unless it's doing something I love. My mind never stops racing, can't turn ADHD off.
SPORTS: As a teenager my favourite sports were karate, badminton, and running. I also did unarmed combat and played in a touch rugby team (my gym teacher made me do the last one!) As an adult, I've couched soccer and have completed two marathons, numerous half-marathons and one 30K run, though I stick to the gym now, hanging up my running shoes.
STATUS: Married to my high school sweetheart (which he hates me calling him). We have two kids.

BEST BOOK OF THIS SERIES!!!!!! THAT PORN PARTY, THAT RUSSIAN ROULETTE GAME, THAT ENDING... ARGHHHHHHHHH I LOOOOOOOOVVVVVEEED IT!!
I took a while to get to this review, because at the end of this book I was blown away, totally left in a zone where I was saying WTF!!!! Everything about this book was amazing. I always say each of this author's books is better than the last, but this one stomped all over the others, totally annihilated them. Not because the others weren't good they were, but this one was just WOW!!! The storyline was amazing, the characters were amazing, this really should be made into a TV program, because I would be glued to the TV if it was. I just can't get enough of these people the author writes about, and how the story throws things at you that you never saw coming. This is like a roller-coaster ride, so full of emotions, where you are loving one character one second then yelling at them the next, saying you &^%&**^% I better stop here and actually write a review that actually tells you about the book. Where do I start? Probably with Kara below.
KARA
A psychotic bitch, but she is still kickarse!!!!!!! Totally, and I think you will either love or hate her. For me? I loved her. Especially the crazy things she said and did. It's probably because I like the psychotic characters the best :) She's the first person who starts off this book. She is an ex of Dante, one who holds a huge flame for him. She originally walked out on him, but unbeknownst to Dante, it wasn't by choice. Basically her family's lives were threatened by her and Dante's employer if she didn't. But now her employer has allowed her to go back to Dante (with a sinister motive), and she will not let anyone stand in her way of getting her man back. But, Dante at this time is someone else's man: Beth, who is below.
BETH after chapter 3
I always thought Beth was a whiny bitch, and I really didn't like her in the last book, BUT I actually felt sorry for her here, also I kind of like that she punched like a man. LOL. I thought she was sweet, innocent, selfish Beth, but wham, when she came up against Kara she was a fighting machine.
Okay, now, Beth is totally in love with Dante and won't let Kara stand in her way, but Kara has the mafia backing her, so Beth is sweet out of luck when they start interfering in her love life. It's not like she loses Dante because of them (I'm not inferring she loses him), but they make things really difficult, especially Saul, the tattooed hot guy who Corey said reminded him of The Rock. Tall, dark and broody, Saul takes an interest in Beth, but Beth doesn't return it, other than she does find him attractive. Which makes me wonder whether the author is setting up more between those two. I must say, even though Saul was a prick at times, I found him incredibly interesting. He was a confusing guy, but there is a reason for the way he chops and changes during the book, which you will find out in the climax. CLIMAX, damn, this whole book was a CLIMAX, because I was running for cold showers constantly.
There was SO much wonderful sex in this book, WAY more than the previous ones. I can see how this book got the erotic tag now. BUT, the sex scenes are not just there for the sake of things, because they all had a purpose. WHOOHOOOOOO Sledge and Corey get it on, and those scenes with Dante, WOWZEEEEEEEEEEEEEER, that boy is hotter than twenty hells.
There was this HUGE porn party in the book that will have your eyes shooting out of their sockets, or hiding your Kindle under the covers and praying no one walks in on you while you.... hahhahahahahaha You get what I mean, because again, WOW, the sex scenes were so freaking hot. This book should be called BEHIND THE ORGASM, because it was a big one for me. lol. Sorry, I'm being rude.
I'll get to the ending. I. DID. NOT. SEE. THAT. COMING!!!!!!!!!!!
It was the first cliffhanger this author has written and I was screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Give me the next book now, you can't do this to me, I want to know what happens. I. DID. NOT. SEE. THAT. COMING.
DAMN!!! What will Dante do, what will Beth do, how will Kara react, what will I do until the next book comes out!!!
I better stop hyperventilating. Under the pictures of Dante and Saul, I will put my favourite moments in the book.

FAVOURITE MOMENTS:
1 ALL THE SEX SCENES!!! lol. Especially the one between Sledge and Corey, as well as Dante's performance during the party. That was so HOT it blew me away, lol. Pun intended. And also the one where he does something I really did not expect with Jade ;)
2 When Tama got some Karma. I kind of felt sorry for him, but was yelling yeah, in your face, prick!
3 When Corey took those drugs it was intense. I wanted to punch Ant in the balls, but I was also laughing like crazy with some of Corey's lines, especially when he was in the car with Nike. When Corey is high he goes from being hilarious to so sweet you want to protect him. COREY is probably my favourite character, although I absolutely love Sledge too, as well as Dante and Ash.
4 AGAIN, that porn party. WOWWWWWW!
5 The Russian Roulette game was INCREDIBLE. Those scenes had me unable to put the book down, they were so INCREDIBLE. You have to read it for those scenes, they were so good. PLUS the porn party, lol.
6 The Porn party. lol. I can't help it. It was great. And what Corey did, lol. He was so funny peeking through his fingers.
7 Dante's stalker. I fell for Jade, but then I do have a huge soft spot for Asian guys, and Jade was no exception. I really didn't expect to like Dante's stalker, but he was great. If I was Dante, I'd choose him over Kara and Beth any day, but then I'm biased :D
8 THAT ENDING WAS ARGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! First cliffhanger in this series, and it was huge!!!! GIVE ME BOOK 4 NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

****4 Action Packed Panty Wetting Stars****
So Marita....this time you have tugged at my heart strings and made me hate a character so much that I am losing sleep over it.
I never thought it was possible to hate some fictional character as much as I hate Kara....and her manipulative, self-absorbed, hypocritical ways. I can rant and rant and continue to rant all night about how much I hate that bitch....but as my mom always said when I would start getting mad at a character on TV...."That's how you know a great author is writing. A great author can make you hate a character by words and actions. But it's a poor author who makes you feel indifferent."
You have done that Marita...you have made me hate and love and NEVER ONCE made me feel indifferent to any of the characters in your books.
This book revolves around Dante with the old main characters coming into play again. We have Beth and (pfft) Kara, Corey and Sledge. We also say "Howdy ho" to Nike and Saul and meet a new character Jade.
Now if you want a book about "rooting" - damn...then this is the book for you!! The sex scenes are fucking off the roof on a sweltering July day in New York STEAMY!!!
Dante and Beth
There relationship is on the rocks now that Dante's ex is back in the scene again. Beth throws a little hissy fit (which she had every right to) and Dante breaks up with her. Beth goes through a few moments where she questions her commitment to Dante.
Dante an Kara
Kara and Dante dated for a few years but Kara left Dante heartbroken. Dante has trust issues when it comes to Kara but his libido isn't having any problems with her! Kara fights to be back with her man but is she doing it for the right reasons?
Corey and Sledge
More drama stems from their relationship while Sledge is still having problems coming out about his relationship with Corey. Poor little Corey continues to get thrown into situations in which he needs rescuing. Then a surprise visit from a "person who will remain un-named" who may put a wedge between Corey and Sledge.
Jade
Whew...Jade - God I love Jade!! He is obsessed with Dante and will DO ANYTHING for one night with him. I see Jade as Dante's guardian angel.
Saul
Works for Craven and continues to make the reader wonder......is he a good guy or a bad guy?? Marita takes us through so many twists in story that you will end up questioning your own sanity with who Saul really is.
Nike
Plays a big part in scene during the climax of the story. I think Nike's best scene in this story was when he was driving Corey home while Corey was hallucinating. That was definitely the comic relief!!
Then we have the big CLIFF-HANGER at the end......
I'm telling ya people - pick this series up....I am still amazed at the story which included Porno Parties, Paddles, Russian Roulette, Girl on Girl fighting and so much more!!

UNDERGROUND PORN PARTY ...... KIDNAPPING ......GAME OF RUSSIAN ROULETTE..... LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES... O’MY!!!!!
Did I grab your attention? I surely hope so. Firstly, I'd like to address what in the(book) world has this reader so hyped. I have become emotionally invested in these factitious characters.( cray-cray , I know) I absolutely adore the series. What I love most is that the Author DOES NOT keep her readers pondering millions of questions….... only to dump all the answers on their lap at once….... at the 95% no less.......am I the only one noticing this trend? It's really starting to annoy me. "Behind the Lens" is similar to a roller coaster. You know the drop is coming but you don't know how many nor how far you’re going to fall....and damn is it fast.
The story predominately revolves around Dante ( LUV HIM)
He's troubled by what his future holds, which in his eyes isn't much . Dante wants his old job back, but promised his brother Ash he'd never go back.......Home up for sale, confusing new relationship (hate it), pimp mobile on the repo-man's radar, constantly empty wallet, crazy ex-girlfriend suddenly appearing on his doorstep(WHAT?) and my poor Dante is officially FUCKED. Now you may be saying to yourself O'HELL, not a love triangle . Ihate LOATHE love triangle as they always frustrate the bejesus out of me. This triangle is NOT the main premise of the story, so it really didn’t bother this picky reader in the slightest ......Anyway, is there really a love triangle here? Beth SUCKS!.... BTW, there may or may be one more character biting for Dante's attention.
So, that ex I was talking about, her name is Kara.
She's one crazy Alpha female and GOD, I FUCKING LUV HER . She's a fighter who's been dealt blow after blow, yet this tough cookie refuses to shed a tear. Dante and Kara's LOVE WAS(is) intense. So much so Kara's employer mandates she end the relationship or harm will come to those she loves. You will either love or hate this character but I am 100% ROOTING for her as I know she wholeheartedly loves Dante.
Now Beth... Bitchy, Condescending, Hypercritical Beth.
I'm probably in the minority here because lord I dislike this character. The only way I see myself warming up to Beth is if she donates her brain to science.
On to the next cute couple--->Corey and Sledge.
They're trying to build a relationship together but a surprise visitor causes everything they've built to come crashing down. Poor, adorable Corey, he keeps finding himself at the wrong place at the wrong time and boy did he get himself in a pickle this time. I can't say how or why but trust me it will have you wanting to squash a bug.
Now, you may be saying to yourself, " but Jahy, what about the porn party, kidnapping and Russian roulette game you mentioned earlier?" Yeah, about that... Well....... I can't tell you!..... It's in hopes that you'll read the book and find out for yourself---> PLEASE DON'T BE MAD.
And finally, I MUST warn you, Behind the Lens ends with one Mother of a cliffhanger.
BUT I'm certain whatever is "BEHIND THE SECRETS" will be worth the painful wait.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!
I honestly think this was me reading this entire book!
It was so unpredictable that I never knew what was going to happen!!
I have to start this review by saying Behind The Lens is my absolute favourite book of the series so far. My expectations were blown out of the water with this book, it was so much more than I thought it would be! Seriously, my mind was fucking blown by the end of it!
I'm starting with a character that I originally hated but now love, I never ever thought I'd warm up to Beth but I'm officially her cheerleader from here on out and want her to win Dante over and possibly murder Kara in the process just because I cannot stand her!

No joke, around the 11% mark of the book she practically tried to rape Dante, she was forcing herself on him even though he repeatedly told her her no and to leave him alone. Oh, oh, and she hid the fact that they got married one drinking night, years ago. Who the hell does that? This made me so mad, if she were a real person I'd fucking throttle her!
When I wasn't fuming over Kara, I was fangirling over Sledge and Corey. Seriously, this was me during their parts of the book.
I love them both so much. I squealed like a little Asian woman when they finally had sex. Yeah, Sledge probably only fell into Corey's bed after finding our Ash and Dante weren't he or Juliet's siblings and then his meeting with Hunter - his dad - but whatever, it was bound to happen sooner or later because they love each other and are awesome! I couldn't stop smiling over how protective Sledge is of Corey, he literally kicked Tama's arse because he treated Corey badly and I loved that!! He is literally the knight in shining armour in this book and it made me so, so happy! He set out to get revenge over what Corey suffered at the hands of Ant and to save him, his sister Beth and Dante from Ant and Craven. It was such an exciting time that it made my heart race.
Our main boy had it pretty rough this book and I felt horribly for Dante. When he wasn't being treated like a piece of sexual meat, he was emotional heart broken because he loved both Beth (Woohoo) and Kara (Slapper) then tossed around like a rag doll by Craven and his son, Ant.
Yeah, that dirty mother fucker who tried to rape Ash in high school when they were teenagers is back and more evil than ever. I have to start this review by saying Behind The Lens is my absolute favourite book of the series so far. My expectations were blown out of the water with this book, it was so much more than I thought it would be! Seriously, my mind was fucking blown by the end of it!
I'm starting with a character that I originally hated but now love, I never ever thought I'd warm up to Beth but I'm officially her cheerleader from here on out and want her to win Dante over and possibly murder Kara in the process just because I cannot stand her!

There were sooo many personal and emotional revolations for Corey and Sledge in Lens. OH GOD! Poor Corey. My heart broke for him in this one. I was so proud of Sledge tho. He stood up for Corey and for their relationship. And he FINALLY rid their lives of an acidic bastard. GOOD RIDDANCE!

OMG what a roller-coaster ride this was.

As most of the story is about him this time...
He is a sex God, everyone wants a piece of him... women, men. His issues are still there and we get to find out more about him and what could be behind those issues..Yes I love Dante!!
Ash and Dante have decided to leave working for local gangster Craven.
Dante knows getting another job is going to be harder then it looks.
Leaving Craven is going to be harder too, as Craven has other ideas.
Ideas that involve Dante.
Kara, Dante's Ex returns back into his life and she still loves him, she really loves him. She is a strong character and fierce and will stop at nothing to get him back again, but at the end of the day she is working for Craven and Craven has brought her back for a reason, so he will decide in the end.
Beth loves him too, she is not as strong as Kara, she has no intention of letting him go, but Craven has plans of his own involving her.
Can a man love two women...Yes Dante can..he truly cares for both women.
Kara and Beth will have a hold on what is going to happen next for Dante..
And in the end he will need to choose just one..but which one?
As your drawn into the sleazy world of porn party's, drugs, violence and people being held against their will... can anyone escape from Craven and his sons crazy control and the nightmare in front of them.
Then we have Sledge and Corey.
Sledge has come to terms now about his love for Corey. He is happy for everyone to know.
Their relationship was amazing and so real..I love these guys
Unfortunately Corey has caught the attention of Craven's son putting himself in danger.
But we mustn't underestimate Sledges love for Corey.
And the ending....
Everything about this story was fantastic, the characters draw you in and you find yourself caring, feeling. Its fast paced. With dark undertones at times that leave you holding your breath. Whilst every now and then a smart comment would come out of these fantastic characters to make you smile.. I say characters... yes they are all very unique in their own way.
Please Marita don't stop with this series.. I loved it

**** 5 crazy emotional and nerve-wracking roller coaster***
Oh WOW...WOOOOW...that was mind blowing INSANE!!!
I wasn't prepared well for that.this is the BEST book in the series so for......if i said it was crazy and intense it would be a freakin' understatement!!!
I finished this book in a record time...i just couldn't put it down...there were unbelievable unexpected intense things thrown at your face from everywhere,like you are in a rough sea and everytime you're trying to go above the surface to take your breath ,there comes a high wave drags you down again.....*taking a breath*
I'll stop rambling now.
This book is packed with action and suspense......
kiddnapping...crazy badass ex...drugged pornography....porn party...Russian roulette ... shooting...secrets....lies and more lies...
The book's main character is...*dreamy sigh*...Dante...
The man that everyone are lusting after,males and femals YES i said males :D...This man will drive you crazy....push you out of your comfort zone...you will curse him one moment and the next you'll want to hug and make him feel loved.oh, and lets not forget he will make you drop your panties with one smile! :D
Here comes the crazy badass ex..kara...
she is the most dominant pushy female character i've ever seen in a book before but i liked her....she knows what she wants and will take it no matter what...and she added more spice to the crazy mix!
AND of course "the bitch"...Beth
i've been told i might like her in this book but guess WHAT?! I hated her even more...she is still the drama queen annoying bitch! And i looooved kara even more for hitting her...lol
There is another mysterious character that confused the hell out of me..saul..
I was intrigued by him from the beginning and by time i became more curious till i found myself in love with him by the end of the book and dying to know more about him.
Here comes a really important part for a lot of us ;)...this book has some smokin' HOT sex scenes that will make you run for cold showers...the Dante scene at the porn party ,corey and sledge scenes as well was just...HWWWWOOT!!!
The storyline of this book is just awesome.....it's so intense and unique,it's a special category of it's own you can't compare it to any books!
I kept saying "where the hell did the author come up with such an epic storyline?!! "...you will be hooked from the first page and be at the edge of your seat by the last one ....there isn't even one boring moment it's almost a climax at the turn of every page and it's soooo fast-paced you won't even notice that you are at the end of the book.
BIG heads up: this book has a killer cliffy it made me about to die of frustration.i need the next book like yesterday!!
One more thing, once you start reading, just throw this away....
You won't be needing it. ;)

So, it's been a few days since I've read this and my chill pill has finally taken effect.
Now that I've actually had time think this through instead of letting my emotions dictate my mouths response. Key word. Emotions. That what this book is...this series. Just a roller coaster of emotions. Good and bad, that's what makes it so unique and thrilling.
This book was amazing up until the ending.
Once I hate a heroine it's pretty normal for me to start disliking a book. I can't help it. I'm a stickler when it comes to female characters and I hated Kara with a passion.
In fact, I ended up skimming through her dialogue because she disgusted me so much and I'm honestly cringing thinking about book four. The best part though... Multiple POV's and stories. I won't be stuck in her head. If book four were out already, I wouldn't read it, that's how much I hate her character.
Ok.. I'm done ranting. On to my review.
Martina Hansen has quickly become a favorite of mine, with her fast paced, no-holds-barred approach to writing and story telling. She's woven together a complex series of love, hate, rivalry, sex, drug, violence, you name it, she writes it and doesn't hold back. That's what I love so much about this author.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a good fast paced drama.

Dante Rata is the main story in this installment - he's a self-professed sex addict...
He's over the top HAWT ppl! It's no wonder he has male and females vying for his attention - 2 women in particular can't seem to stop fighting over who will be his woman - one from his past (Kara) and present (Beth). He loves them both and can't seem to choose...
This book has it all - including a GIANT orgy with Dante as the main attraction working his best assets.
This series is an obsession, once you start - you seriously can't stop and must discuss at length with those who've also read them, JOIN US...

This was the most intense, and best IMO, book of Hansen’s yet! Her writing just keeps getting better and better. I had trouble finding a place to take a break because it was just non-stop action and drama from beginning to end. Behind The Lens does differ slightly than Hansen’s previous books because of the graphic erotic content, but what I found refreshing was that these scenes were meaningful and important to the storyline; they weren't used as filler, and they weren't redundant and boring and predictable.
What really makes this series though, are the multi-dimensional characters. I’ve gone through a range of different emotions with these characters, and I flip-flop back and forth with some. Regardless of whether I love or hate them, I do so intensely!

In book 3 we meet Kara the tough as nails sexy Croatian beauty, soulmate to Dante in my humble opinion. lol
Now Kara is not a nice person. She's a bitch, she's manipulative, she's a liar but I still love and understand her. Unlike Beth, Kara owns her bitchiness. She doesn't go around pretending to be better than others, she doesn't look down her nose at Dante, she understands him and she's willing to die for him. For all her faults I found her love for Dante to be the real thing. I also loved her Croatian endearments to him, so cute. I found her to be a fascinating character especially compared to milquetoast Beth.
Beth is a fraud. Her actions are as nasty and manipulative as others but she constantly judges others including Dante. She continually paints herself as the victim. She's weak, whiny and so damn annoying.
Dante is simply delicious. Sex on a stick and way too good for Beth. It's interesting to me that Dante treats Beth like a China doll while he is much tougher with Kara. He knows that Kara is his equal and can undo him like no other woman.
Now on to Corey....Oh how I love this boy! Jealous Corey was the best! I was laughing my ass off at Corey warning all the bitches to stay away from his man! My favorite part of the book is I also loved his interactions with Kara, so funny.

Wow what to say about this HOT HOT Book. I could not put it down. It was intense, it had suspense, it was funny, it was HOT HOT HOT and tender at the same time. This is a book with many characters.. What made a great impression to me was that there was not a good or bad character. You hate someone at one point and the next minute your heart is breaking for him/her. The writing is amazing, I shared their thoughts and their feelings. I loved it and I cannot wait for the next one because that end it just killed me!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh! I freakin' love this series! I could not put this book down. There are so many great characters and so many twists and turns. I was literally shaking at the end of the book. It's purely magic the way Marita is able to evoke such strong feelings through her writing. I know these are all fictional characters and none of the story is true, but I still get sucked in! I can't wait to read the next book!

I don't even know where to begin...It is a really great follow up. Yes it's an outrageous book but you should have known it before you started reading it. Is it something I normally read? Maybe not but why not broaden my horizons. It takes me away from my every day life (far, far away) so why not.
Dante, ah where to begin. I hate the expression sex on a stick but it seems right when referring to him. He is so damaged and used, poor guy just wants to be loved for who he is. There isn't anything he won't do for his family. That is clear by this book.
Beth, eh she is so wishy washy. And the return of Kara...I skipped book 1 (which I am reading now) so I am not sure what the whole story is. She is in your face and she can be a bitch but I like her. She is sort of like a bad-ass alpha female...I would want her on my side and not against for sure.
I really like the way Ms. Hansen writes. Its obscene and in your face. I cant say I'd want to experience her situations first hand BUT I really do like reading them. I love how the book may be about 1 main character but their is a good deal from the supporting characters.
I love Corey, how can you not. And I kind of like Saul to, maybe not so much in the beginning but definitely towards the end. Ant, maybe somewhere deep down he might have some redeeming qualities but who would even want to look for them.
The ending was a little cliffy for me...I hate waiting...is it 2014 yest???
Dante, ah where to begin. I hate the expression sex on a stick but it seems right when referring to him. He is so damaged and used, poor guy just wants to be loved for who he is. There isn't anything he won't do for his family. That is clear by this book.

3.5 stars. This was just mass chaos the whole time but I wanted to know how it would end. Of course there is a cliffhanger. Not sure when/if I'll read the next installment though. I think these characters are just getting annoying.

This is quite a change in direction from the first book in the series (Behind The Hood) so if you have a problem with sex, m/m or porn...you might want to back away now and find another book to read.
I will admit that I didn't enjoy this as much as the previous two. I've raced through Marita's other books in about a day, this one I was much slower with. I think it was because I LOVE Sledge and Corey. I think they are so cute but we only really get one hot scene at the start which is amazing! Obviously if Corey had not ended up being drugged by Ant there wouldn't be much of a story but I just wanted more scenes with them alone.
Found myself getting wound up with Dante, Kara and Beth. I don't like Kara at all! I'm not keen on Beth either. Actually think Dante could do with some alone time! Their bitch fighting was getting on my nerves and it pissed me off how much Kara was having a go a Beth for basically being scared about dying. Give the girl a break! I loved the idea that Dante didn't know he was being filmed and I loved Jade. Maybe Dante should end up with Jade.....I enjoyed that bit of the book ;) All the sex scenes were pretty top notch. You can't fault Marita for that. The girl can write sex!
More Nike in this book which was good. Bit worried about what will happen to him in the next box. I guess the police are all over Craven's operation and he was a bit trigger happy. Still no sign of Jess though :(
Major bombshell dropped at the end of this book which might make life much more difficult for Dante. Overall I didn't love this book as much as the first two but I'm still excited for more in the series.

This is the third book in the Behind The Lives series. What a bunch of messed up people, getting into a mind blowing succession of messed up situations! It don't half make for some good reading though! There were some big surprises - like Saul! Who saw that coming?! I couldn't give it 5 stars though, because I couldn't really identify with the characters. I found them somewhat annoying in this volume. Bit too much arguing and no decision making. I'd still love to read what happens next, as Dante has got him self in quite a love triangle pickle! Also love to find out more about Nike and Jess (as they were only mentioned in passing as having gone abroad in Behind the Tears, which turns out wasn't the case). More please Ms Hansen!!!

ok im a bit angry i love the siries but i hate pregnancy plot lines they are so over done and cliech i mean its books not Soap Operas find other angst source and this siries in particular has most wouman pregnant plus the cliff hunger here is also Soap opera esque we are in the 21 century why should pregnancy mean automatic marriage i still liked the book despite this ugh moments liked the action and intencity and humour and that it was fast paced and didnt only focus on the couples releshunship like many other books this siries gives friendships and family equal time also i might be the minority but i rooted for Beth Kara is defenetly strong but she is way to bitchy in my opinion and has no filter , Dante annoyed me a bit cause he just couldnt make up his mind he wibbled way to much Cory an Sledge are cute though i did want to smack one and than the other at times Saul is mistirius which i also like and i was glad to see more of Nike also glad Ant and daddy dearest got what they had coming i didnt think much of Jade he lives in his own reality where Dante is in love with him but he needs to get a clue ok i read abought what will probebly hapen with Bwth in Behind the Secrets and i think ill hate i mean if she doesnt support Corey i cant imagine rooting for her especially since he was supportive of her and Dante protecting her from Kara the least she can do is be on his side in watever he desides and not let her beleives ruin her brothers life plus homophobic people suck i realy hope Dante will find someone else and noemal

March 5, 2016DNF @ 27%. I really thought I might be able to come back to this, but once it was on my shelf for a few hours I came to grips with reality. I really can't see myself enduring the repetitive arguments, the constant self doubt and deprecation, the teenage style shouting matches, the semi-ridiculous storyline, the 'reveals' that make no sense and, most importantly, Beth, Beth, BETH!! I cannot endure Beth for anyone (sorry Sledge and Corey, I really wanted to stick it out for you). Kara isn't shaping up to be much better. Is it too much to ask for Dante to find someone decent?? I just can't. Bowing out of this series. Book 1 was great, but it was all downhill after that.

Lamest book ever…bought after reading all the outstanding reviews, could not believe my eyes. Flattest, boring thing. Skipped ahead to see THE cliffhanger…it's a joke, right? To me is not even a M/M book, just empty erotica. Did I say flat?
