Birmingham author, fantastic book with some characters from Alabama. Well written with a twist you won’t see coming. Can’t wait to read more from this author soon
An easy read overflowing with enthralling adventures The novel follows a group of friends who are willing to do whatever they can to enjoy their lives like they once did in their younger days. Their indulgent trip, however, turns into a series of frightening encounters. The characters have sufficient backstories and appear as real characters with familiar struggles. I loved that the story took an exhilarating turn and that other characters were equally interesting. I enjoyed this story so much and could see it as a movie...
Exciting read told through the lives of four remarkable women Four best friends: Margot, Elli, Lacey Ann, and Mary Grace reunite after living separate, successful lives. They head off to a resort in Hawaii hoping to find companions and restore their health and youth. What seems like the perfect paradise suddenly turns into a dangerous trap. The story is an immersive read that fans of thrillers will definitely love.
Rewind Ranch is lively women’s novel with hair-raising thrilling scenes!! When four friends decide to spend a few days in a fantastic resort, they have no idea what they have signed up for. What begins as an amazing trip later turns into a nightmare. The author does a great job of developing fresh characters and creating a compelling mystery. The story is packed with electrifying descriptions that will hold the reader’s attention from the beginning to the end.
This is an incredible, suspense-filled tale with original characters. I loved the story right from the start. It beautifully portrays long-lasting female friendships that survive decades of career and family changes. When the friends meet again, their bond is still strong. Together, they decide to travel to Hawaii. Their adventure is both exciting and riveting. The friends stick together even in the face of danger.
I won this fast-paced, fun novel in a Goodreads Giveaway, and it was quick and entertaining read! Without giving anything away, this book is a satirical commentary on the obsession with endless youth and has a lot of twists and turns! I would recommend this to anyone who loves critiques of beauty standards and beauty culture. I know my neighbors will love this when I stick it in our Little Free Library, too!
The character building in this book was very interesting. I felt it added to plot as things unfolded. And the truth in fiction was revealed that if you have the intense desire and financial ability, you can afford to change your life.
What else are you willing to give up to get it? Is it really worth it in the long run.
And the age old adage..."If it's too good to be true, it probably is."
A captivating, humorous novel featuring four intriguing friends Davis brilliantly intertwines the four friends’ lives, creating a story filled with fun and intrigue. I was immersed in the characters’ lives as they followed different career paths and later, met again to embark on a fascinating adventure. The story takes a surprising turn and its ending is thrilling and unforgettable.
Story about four aged friend with way too much money who travel to Hawaii to have cosmetic surgery to look perfect on the outside and find the perfect mate. But something just isn't quite perfect on the oh-so-perfect island. A little too wordy for my liking and hated the ending.
I was completely seduced by the fun cover and the compelling cover text, but the quality of writing was a total let down. Wish the author had a developmental better editor for a start.
One star is generous. Lackluster character development & mediocre storyline. Would not reccommend. The writing is very unsophisticated. The book is an oversized paperback written in a very large font. It takes about an hour to read.
This was an easy read, and characters are vividly portrayed. The author’s southern ties contribute to colorful descriptions. Story is well developed and has a little surprise ending to an otherwise predictable script.
