Have a baby with my new boss? Not exactly what I had in mind when I decided I wanted to try to get pregnant.

But that’s exactly the situation I find myself in with Dr. Bennett Lawson.

The ridiculously gorgeous, broody billionaire I kissed years ago is asking to have a baby with me.

We both have our reasons for wanting this and with our ugly pasts, it’s an undeniably convenient arrangement.

No love. No relationship. Strictly business.

Now I’m living with him and pretending every searing touch, whispered word, and moaned breath is all in the name of our contract and nothing more.

Even as it becomes harder to keep our hands to ourselves and our feelings separate.

But when that stick shines with two pink lines, we both know what we've grown addicted to has to stop.

Except what happens when everything starts to fall apart and what we promised would never happen becomes the one thing we can no longer live without?

It has been 8 years since Katy (30) and Bennett (38) first crossed paths. He was the chief resident when she was a third-year medical student. They worked together for a year, and at the end of her third year, they shared a drunken kiss one night at a party. But he left the next day for a fellowship in LA, and that was all they had.

Seven years later, they met again as Bennett became the new chief of trauma surgery and also Katy's new boss. Though years have passed since their last meeting, it's apparent that they have never forgotten each other. The tension between them is still there, but initially, I think it's more about the physical aspect. But, of course, as the story goes, this developed into something deeper.

Katy wanted to have a baby, and she's currently looking for a sperm donor because her ex-boyfriend turned out to be a lying, cheating jerk. And Bennett wants the same thing, not just for himself but also for his mom, who's undergoing chemotherapy.

How did they end up agreeing to this arrangement? Katy went to a bar to meet her friends and talked to them about the progress in her baby-making plan. Little did she know that Bennett was there and had heard everything. So he propositioned her to be the baby daddy, and although there's a lot at risk with this setup, seeing as they're working together, nothing deters him from convincing her.

She thought about this and the potential repercussions, but in the end, she agreed to it. Though they both concede that this is purely a business transaction—they're going to have a baby, but no feelings will be involved in this plan. Having been burned once—Katy by her cheating ex-boyfriend, Bennett by his cheating ex-wife—they aren't looking for love anymore.

Here's the thing, though: Katy said she loves sex and she cannot imagine being celibate for a long time, and Bennett's not okay with the idea of her doing it with someone else when she's going to carry his baby. So they end up agreeing to conceive the natural way, but they will stop once she's finally pregnant. 👀 Clearly, the stopping part didn't happen, and I think readers knew very well how that plan would go from the very beginning. 🤭 Anyway, they successfully achieved their goal and, in the end, realized that they loved one another.

There was a side plot added in the end that made this a bit suspenseful. It was handled off-page, and I feel like it came out of nowhere. But it also explains what happened to Bennett in the past and gives clarification on how things went down. Thankfully, it was handled swiftly, and everything went back to normal.

I love Katy's circle and how they're a protective bunch, but I have to admit that at first, I didn't like how they were all up her business. They can be persuasive when they want to, and Katy gives in all the time. But in time, I realized that they just really care and only want the best thing for her.

I love the relationship between Bennett and his mom, how they're supportive of one another, and that his mom is way too cool. 😂

As for the romance, this was good. The tension and chemistry between the MCs are there. Though, I have to say that it took me awhile to warm up to the idea that he only realized it now that he loved Katy even way back then. He said he wanted her like he never wanted anyone else before, that she has always been more to him, and that he thinks the biggest mistake of his life was not fighting for her and choosing his fellowship. Maybe it's the case of the right person at the wrong time for them. 🤷‍♀️ After all, Katy was only 23 back then and a student, while he was 31 and already a resident.

But I think the reason that made me unhappy was the fact that in the seven years they haven't seen each other, five of those years he was with his ex-wife. He married someone else and planned to have a life and family with her. Only that didn't happen because his ex-wife cheated on him with his best friend. If the infidelity didn't happen, he would still be married to her, and I can't wrap my head around that. 🤧

Now, he said the love he has for Katy is deeper, greater, and more profound than what he had with his ex. Yet, the idea that he still loved his ex was more than enough to grate on my nerves. He said he has always thought about Katy, but not once in the last seven years has he made an attempt to reach out to her. Maybe he's letting her live her life, but if he really cares for her that much, I think he should've done something with his feelings. 😐

So excuse me if I can't buy this line: 😭

“It’s always been you, Katy. From the moment I first saw you all those years ago to the moment I saw you again, it’s been you. No one has ever felt right the way you do because I have never loved anyone the way I love you.”

Because if he really felt that, he would never marry someone else. It should be only Katy for him and no one else. 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, looking past my PERSONAL issue, overall this was still a good read, and if readers are into baby of convenience trope, they should go read this.

Unfortunately only ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had high hopes for this one and they did me wrong with this
I was ecstatic to read because im a sucker for a good old pregnancy romance and this was the main reason for why a wanted to read this but unfortunately the pregnancy happened after the first 45% ??? And i was there waiting and waiting and waiting and nothing was happening, just a lot pf talk about and not much of the actual action
I wanted to see how they act around it how the live their life, how they worked all throughout the pregnancy but noooooooooooo lets get just a small epilogue at the end of it.

Im a disappointment by this but maybe other readers will find the book enjoyable

So if you love:
•forced proximity
•working together
•he falls first
• pregnancy of convenience ( don’t knock it until u try🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️a book i mean)
•age gap
•doctors
Then look no further and read this

Thank you valentine pr for the arc🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

📚Story Summary and Review📚
Early in med school Dr. Katy Barrow had an unforgettable moment with her chief resident Dr. Bennett Lawson the night before he left town for an opportunity at another hospital. Nearing her chance for the trauma surgeon fellowship of her dreams she suddenly finds herself thrown back into the thick of things with Bennett and considering an “undeniably convenient”, no strings, or commitment arrangement with him.

I loved Bennett and Katy’s story! I thought this was pregnancy trope done right with a great storyline, fantastic chemistry, and two well developed characters you find yourself rooting for. Katy is a spicy firecracker, but also compassionate and full of heart. Bennett is another beautiful human with all the charm, brains, and braun you could ask for, and a dirty freaking mouth!

I love, love, loved the way he was head over heels for her! And the steam…J. Saman gave us all the sexual tension and freaking HOT steamy scenes. This story had all the feel goods, butterflies, and chills. There was also a third act plot twist that caught me by surprise! Overall I really enjoyed Undeniably Convenient and will be keeping my eye out for others in this series!

🎧❤️Audiobook Review❤️🎧
Savannah Peachwood's narration is delightful, with a sweet and spunky voice that perfectly embodies Katy Barrows, adding a fun and flirty vibe. Alex Kydd's portrayal of Bennett is outstanding, with a unique and fantastic voice that truly brought him to life. His careful placement of breaths adds an extra layer of authenticity and heat….my lawd! Overall there was great character voices, pacing, and emotion from both that sucked me further into the story. A great audio pairing, job well done!

Special thanks to: J. Saman and Valentine PR for this ARC. It was my pleasure!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: baby of convenience
Angst: 😱😱😱1/2
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

What an outstanding start to the series! I laughed, I cried, and walked with a great case of the warm fuzzies when it was over ❤️. Undeniably Convenient pairs Katy (who we first met as a child in Irresistibly Wild) and Bennet in a taboo, second chance story with a baby of convenience.

Eight years ago, Katy and Bennet had a super hot attraction, but it went no where except for a drunken kiss since he was the chief resident and she was a third year medical student. When they meet again, the attraction is still there, but having both been burned by love, neither is interested in getting hurt, and he's still her boss. But everything upends when Bennett finds out that Katy is looking to have a baby - especially when Bennet's been craving one of his own since his mother is dying from cancer. So Katy and Bennet come to an "Undeniably Convenient" contract to work out their attraction, while getting the baby they both want.

This was truly a great story. I loved seeing all my favorite characters from the Irresistibly Yours and the Boston Billionaire series ❤️. The storyline was great and was a different trope for me. The writing was fantastic, moved quickly, and had a dash of suspense that added a lot. It's really the character development that does it for me, though. You just can't beat Bennet as a MMC. He's manages to be completely obsessive and possessive with golden retriever energy, lol. Definitely a he falls first situation. And that mouth! Dirty as it comes, all wrapped up in the hottest, sweetest package. The two had fantastic chemistry and their smexy times were super hot! Katy was everything I love in a heroine. Sweet and genuine with a bit of saltiness, lol. Highly recommend!

Katie and Bennett ❤️
This book is so good! A second chance romance, boss and employee. Boss is a gorgeous head surgeon and a beautiful trauma surgeon! A great mix of action, suspense and steamy love scenes with beautiful romance and a baby! Priceless storyline!
It’s witty with 4 elevator incidents 😂 and the narrators Alex Kydd and Savannah Peachwood are awesome! This is my first time listening to Alex Kydd who sounds like Jason Clarke! This was my first book by J. Saman.

5 stars!

OMG, what a beautifully romantic story! A sort-of-second chance, boss/employee, close proximity romance between a couple who agree to have a baby together without being in a relationship. Ha! It’s sinfully sexy and gorgeously swoony with a billionaire hero who falls HARD, and I loved this book so much!

This is my first book by J. Saman, and it’s a second-generation spin-off from the Irresistibly Yours series (Katy appears as a child in book #3, Irresistibly Wild). There is a huge cast of side characters that make up Katy’s family, and though I initially tried to keep up who everybody was and how they fit together, there are just too many of them and I abandoned that attempt, and just enjoyed the story without trying to piece it all together, which turned out to be fine. That being said, I’m keen to explore more of this world and have added the earlier books to my TBR.

In this book, Katy is all grown up and a surgical resident. Her new boss, Bennett, just happens to be the same guy she had a hot make-out session with a few years ago and from the first glance it’s clear that the attraction between them is still there, but neither of them are in a place where they want a relationship. Bennett has been through a hellish divorce and Katy has recently come out of a long term relationship themselves. They don’t want to fall in love and open themselves up to hurt again, but what they do both want is to start a family.

When Bennett overhears Katy’s plans to conceive a child on her own, he offers his help, proposing that they have a child together, which they will co-parent without any romantic entanglements. Katy has serious health issues which gives her a small window in which to conceive, and knowing how badly Bennett wants a family, it seems like the perfect arrangement… except for the complication of their wild attraction to each other. The chemistry sizzles every time every time they’re together and to combat that, they agree to conceive the old fashioned way to get the mad lust out of their systems, planning to stop when Katy gets pregnant. And the sexual tension is INSANE!

“I want this and you so fucking badly I can hardly breathe or thing rationally. You understand if I fuck you, if I knock you up, that baby will be mine, and you will be too.”

It’s a great set-up, and from the moment they agree to their arrangement, it’s all on, and holy freaking hell, this book is so damn hot! Bennett is a wild one with a filthy mouth and a bit of a kinky side, and Katy is right there with him, and the sexy time is intense and wildly passionate.

“Do you have any idea the dirty things I want to do to you? You have to tell me if it’s too much or if I’m too rough because the way I’m feeling right now cannot be contained.”

“I shouldn’t want you as much as I do.” …
“I want you too,” I murmur against her lips. “So much. All the time. It’s never enough.”

It’s only a matter of time before feelings become involved, and though they both try to fight it, they find themselves falling madly for each other. Bennett, in particular falls hard, and though they are both wrestling with their feelings, they know it’s a losing battle.

She hasn’t just turned my world upside down, she’s become it.
But I can’t pretend anymore Not as the truth slams into me with the force of a bullet.
I love Katy. I’m totally, wildly, head over heels in love with her. She wants me want things I swore I’d never want again.

This is SUCH A gorgeous romance! There is no angst, no drama, and no third-act breakup. It’s just two people maturely handling their unique situation and following their hearts. They talk about what they’re doing and what they’re feeling, and the communication is refreshing and so freaking functional, and though there are some pretty intense external pressures they need to deal with, they handle it sensibly and never lose sight of each other, and I LOVE THAT!

“It’s always been you, Katy. From the moment I first saw you all those years ago to the moment I saw you again, it’s been you. No one has ever felt right the way you do because I have never loved anyone the way I love you.”

God, I love to see a man so hopelessly in love with his girl, so protective, open, and willing to fight for what he wants, and Bennett completely stole my heart. And Katy is a total firecracker. She is strong and stubborn, she knows what she wants and she speaks her mind, and I just loved her. Add a pregnancy and a baby into the mix, and I was in romance heaven!

There’s a huge cast of side characters who are so entertaining. Katy’s family’s protectiveness over her is lots of fun, and Bennett’s mother is a total scene stealer! And the hospital setting and medical aspects bring Grey's Anatomy vibes, which I really enjoyed.

It’s a beautiful journey for these two. I loved them as characters, I loved their individual stories, and I loved watching them come together. It’s a wonderfully functional love story that had me completely invested, and I felt everything right along with them, my heart pounding with excitement and happiness as they found their HEA.

This is such a gorgeous read. 5 stars!

What a pleasant surprise!

I haven't read a doctor + doctor romance in a good long while. Add in a convenient baby Deal and we are having even more fun. Top it all off with some Diabetes & Endometriosis rep and I was over the moon. I feel like it was all done so effortlessly too.

This is my first book by J. Saman and I could tell it was a new series in a full back list of characters. The side characters felt well developed and it made me very interested in reading more.

Bennett and Katy have both been through some heartbreaks in life and they both want to be parents without the emotionally entanglements. How convenient!! Except, it's anything but because how can you keep distance when you make a baby the "natural" way?

This romance also has:
Elevator shenanigans
hot docs
Forced Proximity
Age Gap
No Third Act Breakup

The whole book was just so sweet. They are great characters and have great support systems. I flew through this and I can't wait for the next one.

The narration was top notch and I was addicted to listening to each new chapter. Savannah Peachwood and Alex Kydd were a great pairing.

I want this man for myself. He is passionate, confident and a billionaire doctor. He truly cares for Katy and isn‘t shy to show his feelings.

This was such a fun and entertaining read. Was it silly? Yes. Unrealistic? For sure. BUT so fun. I laughed a lot and there was a smile on my face the whole time. This is one of these books you can read while switching your brain off. There is no unnecessary drama, no complicated plot just two idiots being in love.
Katy and Bennet have my whole heart. They‘re so cute together and I liked the fact they communicate and act like mature adults. There is no miscommunication and no third act break up. Both are intelligent doctors who fall quickly for each other (but are too stubborn to admit it). Their banter is funny and both are confident in their body. The smut was freaking hot and I blushed while reading it.
Overall this was an amazing romance and the pregnancy trope was done well.

2/5 stars ⭐️

This honestly wasn't what I was expecting, when I read the blurb. The premise of this sounded great; I'm really loving the pregnancy trope at the moment, and I also love a workplace romance, where the relationship is a secret. This is the second baby of connivence that I've come across and it started off great; Bennett and Katy have worked together previously and there is shared history between them, following a drunken kiss, seven years ago. Now, they find themselves working together again at the same hospital.

Please do not read this if you loved this book or if you're the author. While this review isn't intending to come from a place of malice and is no way attacking the author’s work, it is my honest thoughts on what I have read.

I think what I struggled with a bit was that the main characters seemed so immature - like when reading Bennett's POV, he came across like he was more 28 not 38. And then, how they approached the whole agreement of having a baby together and then both adamant about not falling in love— they both have trust issues, but like Bennett for example, said he doesn’t want to fall in love again, because of what happened with his ex wife, fair, but is like already getting frustrated with Katy because of the boundaries she’s put in place—because she doesn’t want to fall for him; and to add, it was something that they both discussed and agreed upon for the best. Like, just how they acted came across like they were in their early twenties, and not people that were 30 and 38 years old.

I considered dnf-ing this after how immature they both were, and then had to force myself to push myself through the second half of the book, after Katy found out she was finally pregnant. I thought maybe it would pick up, but there was kind of a back-and-forth between the both of them and how they felt and then there was the secondary plot of his ex-best friend who wanted to ruin his life.

Also, they’re both doctors who work at the same hospital and obviously their agreement on having a baby is a secret, but their relationship itself didn’t feel forbidden within the hospital. Like they were so careless when hooking up, even at the hospital; I’m surprised that they didn’t get caught before Bennett told his boss that he got Katy pregnant.

Why did Katy have to talk so much? Like she had so much to say, sometimes she didn’t take a breath. And she has so many “family members” cousins, uncles, etc; there were so many side characters from this, who Katy kept referring to as “my people” I couldn’t for the life of me, remember who was who.

Ok, ok, last thing, and it’s maybe just me, but why did they sometimes refer to the baby as “it”?!

This was sooo good !!? I now need to go read every other books J. Saman has written !!
Undeniably Convenient tells the story of Katy a talented fifth year surgeon and Bennet her older new boss with whom she shared a heated make out session a few years ago. Now they meet again and the attraction is instantly back, but in their position they can’t let themselves get to close to the other. It’s not what they’re looking for… until Bennet asks Katy, who wants to get pregnant, to have a baby with him. But what will happen when boundaries aren’t enough and both of them start falling for the other ?
I personally love Katy and Bennet so so much I honestly had a smile on my face the whole time, i laughed so much their interactions were so funny, I just love them! All the characters were so sweet that you couldn’t not love them either and I want to read everyone else’s book ! I’ll have to say a few tears were shed…
I’ll say it once more, communication guys ! We love characters who communicate !!! I 100% recommend this book i loved it so so much and read it in one sitting !! So go read it now !!!
I’d like to thank Valentine PR and J. Saman for providing me with an ARC.

I picked this up because it has the pregnancy trope in it, which I am currently in the mood for, but this didn’t go the way I thought it would. I was very bored while reading it.

It wasn’t bad and there wasn’t anything wrong with it, it just wasn’t for me!

Undeniably convenient was very much inspired by Gray‘s Anatomy…which…fair enough..isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it didn’t feel particularly original to me, if you know what I mean. And personally, I didn’t feel anything for the main characters. Yes, the author tried to create a connection between them, but I just wasn’t into it. Now, I don’t know if I am feeling this way because I’ve already read a few good books lately and I feel a reading slump knocking at my door or because the book is truly bad, but I noticed that I was forcing myself to continue reading it. And whenever that happens to me while reading a book, that’s a sign that I don’t really enjoy said book. So I dnf‘ed it! I will never waste my time on books I don’t enjoy!😏🤷🏻‍♀️

Undeniably Convenient- Bennett and Katy

Ahhh swoon!

Bennett is making a move to Boston. He is ready to put the past couple of years behind him and move forward. When he walks into the new hospital he will be working at, he gets into an elevator and looks into the eyes of a girl he never forgot.

Katy is in the final year of her residency and going for the coveted spot of a fellow. She is working her butt off for the one fellowship but she wants something just as much, if not more…a baby. What she wasn’t expecting was to be stuck in an elevator, with a man she kissed seven years ago, the gorgeous man that is now her new boss.

I don’t want to give too much away but you can guess a lot of this. Bennett nor Katy have forgotten that kiss many years ago. They never thought they would get that chance again so Katy is floored when Bennett proposes the idea of being the sperm donor to her baby. Oh, he wants to conceive the all natural way also.

Swoon! This was amazing. Through all the crazy I can’t discuss and the drama and not knowing what is going to happen..so good! I cannot thank you enough for that segment they, THEY WORKED THROUGH IT! Omg! What a concept! Thank you! Great read!

“You’re going to be such a fun secret to keep.”

This follows Katy who is a beautiful trauma surgeon who wants kids but potentially running out of time. That’s when the broody new chief of trauma surgery Bennett becomes her new boss and gives her an offer that will change everything. But can they keep up with the no-strings-attached deal for long?

Pregnancy romances at the moment are sending my ovaries into overdrive. It’s extremely hot when a man knows what he wants, supports her and wants to be there the whole way through the pregnancy. This MMC was delicious. The FMC Katy is smart, intelligent and loves being a surgeon. She has been through some loss in her life which directed her to this line of work. She is always striving to be the best with a kind soul. I loved the storyline, and characters and the spice was perfect. The audible narration by Savannah and Alex was fantastic and one of my favourites so far this year so highly recommend it.
The only thing I will say is the last chapter before the epilogue. I thought we might have got a confrontation or a little more of a bang but it ended smoothly other than that it was a fantastic read.

For surgeons, they are awfully stupid people.

It was painful seeing them go back and forth between what was obviously love and just liking. I mean who really would have believed they could have a whole baby together the natural way and absolutely no feeling would be had...pull your head outta your ass.

There were far too many people in this book. Idk who half them are. I just smile and nod.

Plot was actually pretty solid. Cayden was insane, but honestly I've never seen anyone with that name who wasn't. Katy annoyed me at times, but it's whatever. Bennett, I like you man.

Although every time I did read Bennett's name, all I could picture was Bennett from Dog With A Blog. 😔

Sold read. Looking forward to the next one.

I loved the description and so I had to have it and ended up finishing it in a day. Katy and Bennet’s story was a great read. The chemistry between the two of them was there from the start.

Well holy HOT dang! Bennett and Katy are the perfect pair to start this new series. This book is jam packed with undeniable chemistry, heat and a storyline that I am obsessed with!

Katy and Bennett have history. A history Katy knows must stay in the past. There is no way that these two could ever pick up where they left off or even think of starting anything, and yet there is nothing else Bennett can think of!

An opportunity falls into their laps and both jump at it. The more time together and the more they get to know who the other is now, the more the attraction grows, but with so much at stake they have choices to make.

I love the tenacity of Katy and getting to see who she is now and how the clan (Fitz family and Central Square) is doing had my heart happy. I love the person Katy has grown into and Bennett was a man who definitely challenges Katy in ways she needed. He’s a man with so much to give. Brilliant and loving and well….a master in the bed!

Another instant fave of mine from Julie and a perfect start to a new series! These characters, some of which we know already have my heart and I cannot wait to see what is to come!

I knew that this book would be good, but I never knew that it could be that amazing.

A new and very handsome doctor comes to work in the hospital, where Katy is a surgical resident. They met in the strangest circumstances - in an elevator. What they didn't find at first glance is that they did know each other. Katy remembered him straight away. 8 years ago she was a medical student and he was the chief resident. Back then, they liked each other, but it wasn't the right time, and they never acted up on the attraction... Except one very hot kiss in the dark.

Now Katy is a surgical resident and, after so many years of hard work, she wants a baby. She has her reasons for doing it alone, but this is where Bennett steps up. His mother is sick, and she wants him to make her a grandmother. But this is not the only reason. He had always wanted a child and with Katy's decision he knew that this could be the perfect opportunity for both of them.

Well, we all know that not everything goes to plan even if we want it. Being together to create a life was the best moment for them to get to know each other and fall in love. Their time together... was magical. Neither of them could hide the attraction and make the baby the traditional way, just add more fuel to the sizzling chemistry they had.

Bennett was brilliant for her. He was the man she always wanted but never got the chance to have. She had attracted him before and now she was just irresistible. Living together gave them enough time to see how the future would be. Every moment of every day, they see how good they are for each other. Bit by bit, they fell in love. But there were still some insecurities below the surface, and they needed to fix them... Together as one.

The sex scenes...OMG... Those scenes made the story even better. They were so hot and passionate. The smut was always there, but the kink just added wayyy more spice than I expected 🥵🥵🥵. What can I say...? I loved every single moment when they were together 😍😍😍.

Her family and friends were the best supporters. They were just right there, when she needed them.

I couldn't seem to notice when Katy had surgery and her nurse asked her about a patient. A patient that collected doll's heads. This definitely reminded me of an episode from Grey's Anatomy where a man swallowed Judy's doll's heads 🤣.

Julie Saman's love stories always amaze me. They are the perfect combination of love, smut and great leading characters. I just love reading her books.

Overall, I loved reading "Undeniably convenient" and I can't wait for the next books from the series ♥️.

***I received an ARC from the author and this is my true and honest opinion.***

Well... this series is off with a bang. Not only did I get to catch up with characters from previous series I loved but I was introduced to a whole new set of characters I absolutely fell for.

Undeniably Convenient delivers on some tropes I go gaga over... Age-Gap, Billionaire, Workplace Romance and Baby of Convenience. Bennet is everything | want in an MMC, possessive and obsessed with the FMC.

If you are looking for a book that will make you read with a smile and also bring the heat then, I highly recommend this one and in general any of Julie Samans books.

Yay for 2nd Gen!!!

🌟 4.5/5

‼️ While this book can be read as a standalone, this is book 1 of the Boston's Irresistable Billionaires series

ℙ𝕆𝕍: first person, dual perspectives

𝕊𝕦𝕞𝕞𝕒𝕣𝕪:
Have a baby with my new boss? Not exactly what I had in mind when I decided I wanted to try to get pregnant. But that’s exactly the situation I find myself in with Dr. Bennett Lawson. The ridiculously gorgeous, broody billionaire I kissed years ago is asking to have a baby with me.
We both have our reasons for wanting this, and with our ugly pasts, it’s an undeniably convenient arrangement.

𝕄𝕪 𝕋𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥𝕤:
Julie's books never cease to amaze me. Since I began the long journey of starting the books and going through her backlist a few years ago, I've been obsessed with them.😏

When I started this book, I was a ball of excitement because:
1. The storyline/tropes. I'm a hussy for pregnancy books.
2. Cameos/mentions of MCs from past books
3. The 2nd generation and offspring of said past MCs!

Katy and Bennett were everything and more. The flirtation and chemistry were done in only a way Julie could write.🥺😍

Thank you forever for continuing to have me as an ARC reader. The moment these ARCs pop up on my Kindle, I'm always emerged in the land of J. Saman. Ekkkkk, I'm now on the edge of my seat waiting for Owen's book!

In Undeniably Convenient, Saman explores the forbidden aspects that comes with romance within the workplace between supervisor and supervise. In this the first book in the Boston Irresistible Billionaires, Saman weaved a tale about a boss and his employee who entered an agreement to have a baby together, without the complexities that came with being in a relationship.

"Undeniably Convenient" was my introduction to J. Saman's work. it is the first book in the Boston's Irresistible Billionaire series. As I delved into the book, I discovered it was a spin-off from another series where the heroine had appeared as a child in one of its installments.
Katy, a trauma surgery resident, yearns for two things: to become a mother and to secure a fellowship. After a painful past relationship, she decides to pursue motherhood through a sperm donor. Bennett, a trauma surgeon, comes back to Boston to lead the trauma department. Scarred by deceit and betrayal, he shuns relationships but harbors a deep desire to be a father.

Upon learning of Katy's wish for a child, Bennett proposed a plan that would fulfill both their desires. However, it required them to not only cohabit but to conceive the child through traditional means while avoiding romantic entanglements. Given Katy and Bennett's past, this arrangement wouldn't be difficult. The real challenge would lie in avoiding romantic complications, considering the intense chemistry they shared. It was indeed a test for both of them.

Katy and Bennett were a delightful couple. Their interactions were thoroughly entertaining and often had me laughing at their antics. Their romance unfolded sweetly, with a slow burn and plenty of spicy moments. It took some time for them to recognize their feelings, hindered by insecurities stemming from previous relationships.

The secondary characters gave depth to the story. Katy has an extensive family, many of whom aren't related by blood. Nonetheless, they were united in their support for her and her choices. They might not always concur, but they supported her unconditionally. The introduction to these characters was delightful, leaving me eager to explore their individual stories.

The author included a suspenseful arc that shed light on Bennett's past, illustrating that not everyone in your social circle welcomes  your successes. I was disappointed with how this aspect of the story was dealt, most of which was handled off page.

All in All, "Undeniably Convenient" is a compelling read that I would recommend to fans of spicy romance.

#Review: Undeniably Convenient - ARC - J. Saman [18+]
4/5✨
4/5🌶️

Another new author for me. This book gave me Grey's Anatomy vibes and I liked that. Thank you J. Saman and ValentinePr for this copy.

Katy Barrows works as resident and aims to become a trauma surgeon. But she also wants to become a mother and she decides to do it by herself, after her last heartbreak.

Bennett Lawson had a difficult time and his situation forced him to move into another town. He will be the new head of trauma at the same hospital where Katy works.

Katy and Bennett know each other from some time ago. They worked together and Bennett thought Katy many things in the OR. They had a great connection since back then, but because of their work situation, Bennett forced himself to not complicate things with Katy. Except when it was sure that he will never see her again, he decided to kiss her and just leave. And this scene remained in both of their memories.

Because Bennett wanted kids too, he decides to tell Katy that he wants to be her baby's father. But he needs Katy as close as possible, so they start living together and, at the same time, deal with conceiving a baby.

In this whole mess, Bennett's past comes to creep up on them and they have to deal with those threats which are aiming for them.

It was a nice read: funny, sad, emotional and very spicy. It had a bit of drama but nothing exaggerated.

This book is like the best seasons of Greys Anatomy, combined with crazy hot spice and one of the best romantic couples I have ever read, and I could not get enough! Bennett and Katy have such a unique, wonderful, and heartwarming love, and I just adored them so much! They each had their own reasons for not falling in love ever again, yet they both desperately want a child -- and what better way to finally get some closure from your hot boss who's had a hold on your heart for years, by having his baby, and conceiving the natural (ahem, *fun*!! way?!) These two were such a freaking hoot, and between their kindle (and panty) melting chemistry and the way they just *got* one another, and the beautiful way Bennet was enveloped in this huge family, plus how much they truly belonged together just made me swoon! This is seriously one of the best romance books I've read in so long, and I cannot wait to dive into more of this world!

You will definitely see some familiar faces, and this is truly a second generation from all of Julie's books -- Boston billionaires AND Irresistibly Yours, and I'm hoping even a few rockstars pop up too! -- and all the connections they javelin with one another is simply amazing! I hope JS never stops writing these books!

This book was so freaking cute. It gave Greys Anatomy vibes, which I absolutely loved! Katy is a 4th year resident, and in the beginning of her career she kissed a doctor who was leaving to another hospital, right before he left. Years later he returns as her chief of trauma, who’s also on the board of selecting a resident for the trauma fellowship. Katy has diabetes and endometriosis, and a handful of failed relationships under her belt, but she wants a baby. Bennett had a failed marriage and his mother is sick. They both want a baby… when Bennett catches wind of Katy’s plan to get pregnant via donor, he proposes a deal. A freaking baby of convenience. I thought I wasn’t a baby trope girl, but I’ve read a couple lately and I’m loving them LOL.

While overall this book was great, I had a couple lil issues with it. When a book drops the title of the book throughout the writing, my first thought is oh! There’s the title! Makes sense. But it happens like 4 times, and I thought it was overkill.
I was expecting more drama, with this secret baby, forbidden relationship, sneaking around. I just wanted more conflict. I love that they handled everything that came their way, as adults, but I expected more dramaaaa. At the end of the book there’s this huge climax…. Then it rolls right into the epilogue. I thought I was missing a chapter or two lol. It felt rushed to me. Over all, I did really enjoy it, it was cute af, and bennett is such a cinnamon roll, he’s so precious

Kathy Barrows is a fifth year resident working towards her fellowship. With a crazy ex-boyfriend, and extremely large family. She finds her self wanting something that isn’t easy attainable. She has had a lot of lose in her life so when she finally gets something she desires she a little scared as to why its so easy. She all sunshine and love to everyone around her. Until she meets her new boss. A blast from the past Dr. Bennett Lawson is Kathy new boss he was the one that took her under his wing back when she was 2/3rd year resident. They have both shared an undeniable connect and still after so many years its still there. With Dr. Lawson just coming to Boston looking for fresh start after issue at his old job and a crazy ex wife, Kathy is exactly what he needs.

Honestly loved the book it was well written and love the dual point view. It has a lot of open door scenes. Loved Kathy and Bennett banter between each other. My favorite character in the book was Kathy her playfulness with her family and Bennett is just awesome. I got a sneak peak for the next book and honestly can’t wait.

My Favorite Quote:

“It won’t be that easy, sweetheart. You’re at my mercy. I can fuck you however I want, and you can’t do anything about it other than take it.

I know I keep saying this but this might be my new favourite J Saman book, and Bennett Lawson is definitely one of my favourites of her MMCs!

I have to be honest- when I first saw the tropes for this book and saw baby of convenience I was skeptical. I haven’t read one before and wasn’t sure I’d like it. I don’t want the couple to get together just because of the baby. But this was far from what I’d worried.

Bennett and Katy have history- they met before, years ago and shared a kiss. Now he’s working at the same hospital at her, he’s her new boss and he’s carrying some baggage from the last few years. He falls first and falls hard. He’s never really stopped thinking about Katy if he’s honest.

We first met Katy as a child in Irresistibly Wild where she tragically lost her parents and was taken in by her Uncle. She’s now a fantastic trauma surgeon, but her biological clock has started ticking and she’s planning to use a sperm donor to try and have a baby. Well, until Bennett overhears these plans and asks if she’ll have a baby with him. He’s desperate to be a father and has his own reasons for wanting to do this too.

I loved these two so much, their chemistry was off the charts and the way their relationship grew was beautiful. The banter was great, and there were lots of appearances from Katy’s big family including many of the author’s past main characters and their children. I’ve read all those books but still found myself needing a reminder of who some of them were at times. I’ve seen Julie has since posted a family tree on her Instagram account which is super helpful! You could definitely read this as a stand alone without having read her other series though.

Huge thanks to the author and Valentine PR for this arc in exchange for my honest review. I’m excited for Owen’s book next!
