Rilzy Adams needs only five things to survive: sushi, coffee, Prosecco, cuddles and words (though not in that order).

She's a lawyer by day - writer by 'whenever she can get the free time' and believes that love makes the world go 'round. It is no small wonder, then, that she can't help but pen tales of people falling in love.

I have got to stop letting Rilzy Adams tease me the way she does. You'd think I would have learnt my lesson by now but nope, I haven't.

Until the Last Note Plays is about a rekindled relationship between musicians Sage, a concert cellist, and Garrick, a pianist who reconnect for a concert. Garrick broke Sage's heart but does enough to help her understand why in these 17 pages.
There's enough of a back story for context and a hint of what could be, if it was developed into a full novel.

I view the author's short stories and novellas as palate cleaners, an amuse-bouche as it were, to be read when I'm done with one book and need something shorter- or smaller- before I start the next.
She has this way of writing about passion and sex between her characters that is damn near sublime so that instead of a reader feeling like a voyeur or as though they're watching or reading porn, she/he is in the story and only wants the best outcome. *giggle*

It is always tastefully done. No rabid actions that makes you want to chuck the book across the room or delete it from your e-reader.

I will continue exploring her catalogue.

A short, sexy, spicy read. I like how I centered around music and be estranged characters finding each other again.
