As the shadows of a young man's past consume him, he uncovers the dark, twisted secrets hidden within his family.
He embarks on a journey of dread and terror as an unimaginable evil claws its way to the surface and brings a world of horror that he could never have imagined. His descent into madness reveals a chilling truth—the darkness of his past is nothing compared to the terrifying realities of his present.
A coming-of-age story from J.C. Moore that will leave you breathless with fear.
J.C. Moore has worked as a bartender, IT tech, touring musician, horse farm manager, and for one ill-fated season, ran a restaurant (the health inspector survived). His songs have turned up in TV and film, but these days his stories are more likely to end up in your hands than on your playlist.
He writes thrillers that dig into ordinary lives turned upside down. Secrets From a Serial Killer pulls readers into a small town hiding big secrets. Dead Man’s Payback follows Frank Mallory, a man who discovers that grief and vengeance can be two sides of the same coin.
Moore’s characters are rarely superheroes—they’re people with regrets, bad decisions, and just enough fight left to make things interesting.
He lives in upstate New York, where the roads disappear into woods, the neighbors wave from porches, and story ideas have a habit of following him home.
Another J. C Moore book that truly has kept me at the edge of my feet, and entertained and an absolute page turner. The plot was very creative and enjoyable and it definitely gave me the 80s horror movie vibes that was its primary mission. The only reason for why I gave it 4 stars, was because I felt like it again was slightly repetitive. That's all I can say about it. That's my own personal pet peeve but Moore has shown with every book I've read his talent, his wild imagination and his creativity at his finest. I'm also impressed at how interesting he makes his characters and the overall storyline for his books. Loved it all.
This was creepy little book! Even though it’s on the short side it really packs a punch. If you like violence & gore laced with ghosty vibes in short bursts then this is the book for you!
