Visual Math has been designed to allow learners to "see" why math makes sense. By combining logical math concepts with pictures, previously unclear images will fade and math will suddenly click for you. Pictures, graphs, and diagrams help you understand math questions in the areas of number concepts and properties, fractions and decimals, ratios and proportions, percents, algebra, geometry, and much more. Designed especially for students who have difficulty with conventional math rules, this book gives you step-by step instructions with pictures to help you solve math problems.
The only book that I know of that really succeeds in making math visual. So often teachers hear about the importance of using pictures and symbols for better learning, memorization and understanding. How do you do that with math? This book effectively shows you how. A must have for math teachers grades three through 12
I was disappointed. I was thinking there was going to be visuals to help with teaching math, and instead it was more of a 'use these visuals to help yourself learn math' book. Some of the visuals were good, and I will use them, but some were not that great... and some of the mathematics was too simplistic in its explanation/visual to correctly convey the full concept.
