Selfish Little Bob, Selfish No More! by Author Joyce Mitchell
Talented children's Author Joyce Mitchell has done it again! She's penned a delightful children's book about selfish little Bob who is a cute little rabbit celebrating his fifth birthday. Mother Rabbit is quite frustrated with Bob's rude and unacceptable manners. She hopes he will mature soon and develop some good habits just like his older siblings especially big brother Ted who sets a fine example for Bob to emulate.
Mother Rabbit soon gets her wish as selfish little Bob is about to learn a life lesson as he spends some time in the forest with the other animal creatures. Although Bob is not demonstrating much kindness to them, when he takes a tumble and falls to the ground in pain, his fellow siblings and friends come to his rescue. Bob is extremely touched by their kindness and support considering how badly he has behaved toward them. They quickly work together to get him to the safety of his own home where Mother Rabbit can tend to his needs.
His family and friends take the opportunity to share a little brotherly advice by saying... "Little Bob listen, we have something of value to say. Being kind and giving is a better way to be, Caring fills your heart with love, try it, you will see!"
Bob definitely absorbs the lesson he has learned as he is no longer the selfish little rabbit that he once was and he happily embraces the love and kindness that is poured on him by his forest family and friends. The colorful pictures featured in this rhyming children's book by Illustrator Emily Zieroth along with the moral lesson and story line provided by Author Joyce Mitchell, are sure to bring plenty of pleasure to its young reading audience.
