One of the most impacting books I have ever read! Every paragraph had something meaningful and truly important to say. This is a book that spurs reflection of one’s life, incorporating an outstanding message of love, hope, and overcoming all obstacles.

I loved the concept of this story. There are various POVs from the main characters but incorporated are Love, Hope, Hate, Resentment, and others as physical beings with conscious minds that influence the main characters. Each MC is going through their own personal problems and their paths are all intertwined. Acajou brings her characters to life by her beautiful writing and it relates to readers. The problems described are relatable to people because it mentions concepts like love, relationships, money, etc which are part of everyone’s daily life.

Acajou’s writing flowed so well. Her advice to the characters were honestly so well spoken. I had to reread certain parts to fully grasp the beauty of her words. Every phrase was thought out and had a purpose. There were no filler ideas or scenes which only added to the overall work. This book had magical realism embedded throughout the story and I liked how Acajou incorporated it; it wasn’t overwhelming or confusing at all.

I really enjoyed this book and I would defintely recommend to people who want something different in a book, people who want to be hopeful again. I know I gained very helpful advice simply by reading it.

A truly wonderful read. I'm so glad I took a chance on this one. Not only were the characters memorable, but the themes were strong and easy to relate to.

This is a Message book with a capital M. How much you like the book will largely depend on how much you like the message. This is a book for those who like the positivity & promises of The Secret, for those who love redemption & hope, for those who are broken & seek solace in a message of self-improvement & Christianity.

Lyra Acajou has many skills and uses them throughout her novel. She creates tons of tension and keeps the tension high. Her characters are unpredictable, flawed, human, real, and well-rounded. The dialogue is wonderful. Her sense of narrative pacing is fluid and often superb.

In many ways the book feels like a self-help book come to life. A lot of the story is about relationships, about work, about family, the struggles of life: all these scenes help us see Lyra Acajou's Message. Lyra writes with conviction, heart, and soul: many of her scenes feel palpable; the book is full of emotional undercurrents.

I loved the touches of magical realism: that Lloyd becomes invisible, Sage turns into a little girl, and, yes, the philosophical mouse. At times the book feels preachy, but its characters know this and comment on it: you can't say they're not self-aware!

There's also a vintage current running through this book, reminiscent of The Pilgrim's Progress. Love, Hate, Resentment, and X are all characters in their own right, pushing and pulling the human characters towards or away from their destinies.

The Isolation of X is full of Hope and an auspicious debut from Ms. Lyra Acajou.

Oh my God! What a read! In all my life I have never come across a book such as The Isolation Of X. I found that Lyra Jade explains something new and wonderful that I have never seen addressed by any other Author. I also never thought I would ever become so emotionally attached to the characters I read about but The Isolation Of X did just that. I found it extremely entertaining, dramatic, gripping and enlightening and it left me with a feeling too difficult to explain. There are no boring spots, a real roller coaster that’s why I wanted more although I was satisfied. I laughed, I cried and it gave me a new perspective that I found to be extremely helpful. I would love to see this get made into a movie. In my opinion it’s a masterpiece!

I'll admit, usually I'm not a big fan of this genre but I definitely take an exception for this outstanding book. Using a combination of drama and humor, the author really forces the reader to look at their own life in an entirely different way. Highly recommend!

***RECEIVED FROM GOODREADS GIVEAWAY ***

This book was not at all how I had imagined, I liked how the author depicted emotions as actual beings influencing the people around them. It is written an interesting way to get the reader to think about their own behaviour and thoughts and how they affect the world around us.

To the author: Thank you so much for a free copy of your novel! It was enjoyable, inspirational and educational! Also, congratulations to you on your novel! I have no doubt you will be successful with your writing. :)

My review (rating 5 stars-I would give more stars if I could): --------> This was a good book written by a good first time author. This novel was different from anything that I have read before, it was very original. It has good quality too. The editing was some of the best that I have seen in a first time author. I was very surprised this was Mrs. Acajou's first book. She wrote it as if she has written many books before this one. It was full of content and wisdom too. If you like to learn a little while reading, please read this novel.

I knew within the first few sentences that I would like this novel. There are so many good things about this book. I read it almost as if I were reading something important like the bible. The message was good and strong (I even saw a few biblical scriptures included). It was not something to be read lightly or just for entertainment. This was something to read to learn and understand more about your life. It is about having the right thoughts (positive thoughts), love, life, hope, forgiveness, acceptance, etc. I even saw discontentment, hate, resentment and other characters within the book. All of these elements came together to show how we have power over our lives. We may not have power over the things that have already happened but, we can have power over how we react to them and what we do in the future.

I do not want to spoil anything for whomever may read it. There were some parts where I cried a little, and I laughed some too. I read and re-read parts. I took notes on some parts too. I love books where you really learn something new or where you are reminded of something to help you in your life. This was one of those books. It took me about three months or so to read this because my life got a little busier than usual and I did not want to rush through just to say I that finished it quickly. The message felt so important to me. It blessed my life, I still feel the effects of it when it comes to thinking more positively. It is helping me to pay more attention to my thoughts for sure. I try to drive away the negative ones as soon as they come because I want my life to be as positive as possible. I did not know that I needed to read this, but I did. I will re-read this book just like I re-read the bible and other spiritual material. I thank the author for writing this and for bringing it into my life right on time. Page 127 was one of my favorite pages. It speaks about love, the true meaning of love.

I also loved the way the book started. Book two started off well also. The whole thing was good. It was longer than most books I read but, it was worth it. Most times I tend to read shorter stories because I don't have as much time to read as I would like.

If you are a person who cries easily when something touches your heart, please read this with tissues nearby. I cried through some of this as if I were in church or at a good therapy session. It was that good. If you think you want to read this, please try it for yourself. I hope you like it as much as I did. Please do not overlook this new author. Writing is definitely one of her gifts. I'm a fan. In the words of Tamar Braxton (Yes, I am also a Braxton fan, lol.), "SHE DID THAT!!!" Mrs. Acajou did a great job with this novel! I can't say it enough! Another reviewer said that they could see this book as a movie, I agree. She wrote well enough for the events to be visualized easily.

*I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I was not paid for my rating or review.* Also, I do not give a good review or rating just because I was given a free book. I rate books on how much I like them and connect with them. * Last but not least, thank you so much to Lyra Jade Acajou for a free copy of your novel!!! I feel honored and blessed for the chance to read it. It is truly unlike anything that I have read!
