Just a few short months ago, Sheriff Rebecca West thought her toughest battles were behind her. But nothing could have prepared her for the turmoil she’s faced since coming to Shadow Island. Attempts on her life. Heartbreak. Betrayal. And that’s just the beginning.
The worst is yet to come.
Still reeling from the shocking discovery of who’s behind Shadow Island’s exclusive and depraved "men’s" club, Rebecca is determined to take them down. There’s only one problem. One by one, the members end up dead. Tongues cut out, hands chopped off—the message is clear...
Dead witnesses can’t talk. Now everyone is a potential victim.
Is there a traitor in the club’s midst? An accomplice turned executioner? Or is the Yacht Club killing its own members rather than risking the police questioning them?
As the desperation of the masterminds behind the Yacht Club increases, so does the body count. In her relentless pursuit of the truth, Rebecca risks unraveling not just the secrets of the Yacht Club, but the very fabric of her own heart.

Life and Love Lost It was good to read Shadows Siege. In the midst of taking down the Aqua Mafia, Sheriff Rebecca West discovered her boyfriend Ryker right in the middle of it after all. Will Ryker give up information or will he be held back by his connections to them? I really enjoyed reading this and getting one more piece fit together on Sheriff Rebecca West and her wish for a slower lifestyle, peace and quiet. Now I can't wait for the next book in the series.
This is one terrific book. It was heart wrenching at times and those twist in the story kept you in your toes. This is a must read series. I highly recommend it.
This is an ARC review and its another great story by Mary Stone and her co author. Rebecca West came to Shadow Island to regroup but that did not happen. Now she was hoping to finally close the door on the illusive Yacht Club criminal organization. She had Ryker and another Yacht Club henchman in jail. She had verbal confessions from both men and physical proof. Then the unthinkable happens. The jail is breached and Ryker is gone and the henchman is dead. Most of the physical evidence is gone also. Now the hunt is on to finally end the Yacht Club. As the search procedes other members of the Yacht Club start dying. Can Rebecca and her deputies find the other members and keep them alive. Just as she thinks it possible and she can round up most of them, a bomb goes off in the yacht they are on. Only one member is left alive and Rebecca and her deputies are bound and determined he will live to testify. Now the hunt is on for Ryker and his parents. Will they find the final members of the Yacht Club before anyone else dies?
SHADOW’S SIEGE is the fifteenth installment in the Shadow Island Series by Mary Stone and Lori Rhodes. You will be hooked from the beginning and have a hard time setting this book down for even a few minutes.
The Yacht Club has been cleaning house, disposing of anyone that knows their details. Will the head of the YC escape, just to start their inhumane activities in another place? Or, is Rebecca and her team fast enough to catch them.
I am anxiously awaiting the next installment. Is the YC finished! Can Rebecca and Team stop them and make Shadow Island the place it was meant to be?
If you haven't read any of Mary Stone's books and enjoy mystery thrillers, start now. Mary and her co-authors definitely know how to get their lead characters in trouble.
I did receive an ARC of this book from the author and this is my freely given and honest review. I recommend this book and the entire series.
I discovered the audiobook I was listening to did not have the last chapter that was in the ebook. After reading the last chapter, some things I thought were missing actually were brought to a close.
************ The leaders of the Yacht Club proved to be more vicious than I though possible. It was interesting how Vivian maintained her warped allegiance to one thing only. This book was ful of twists and turns. Characters I expected to see were not part of this particular story and I was surprised.
I didn't feel short changed on action or suspense. There were actually a few moments of edge and sadness. Rebecca's team was hit hard in this book. Another event I was expecting also didn't happen and that was another surprise. This is one time I would have really appreciated an epilogue.
A good read, with good narration that kept me engaged from start to finish.
There is a war on the Shadow Island. Who will win? Rebecca, the sherif or the Yacht club puppeteer? Killings of remaining Yacht members and assault on the sheriff’s station and members make a terrible background to the fact, that the men’s depravity can be topped by woman’s. Rebecca is facing not only gruesome crimes, betrayal and the heartbreak, but has to deal with her own emotions, insecurities and vulnerability. You feel and fear for her, as Mary puts her through the grinder again and again. I love this character along with others. The story is increadible tense and unique. Page turner, fast paced thriller. For one slayed head, the dragon grows two new! You never know , what will happen next. I cannot wait.
Rebecca is still dealing with Ryker’s betrayal and finding out who heads up the Yacht Club. She is determined to end the Yacht Club at all costs. Rebecca and her team diligently go after everyone involved and they leave no stone unturned.
The Yacht Club is cleaning house and certain members are being killed by a trained assassin. What members are assassinated? Will Rebecca be able to stop the killings? Who on Rebecca’s team dies? Will Rebecca and her team end the Yacht Club? Does Ryker redeem himself?
Shadow’s Siege is well written and will keep you reading until the end. It has all the drama, suspense, action, killings, betrayals, grief, and emotional trauma you could ask for in a book.
This was truly a battle to the end with winner take all. The Sawyers are cleaning house and taking out anyone and everyone who could possibly connect them to the Yacht Club. This was a non-stop thrill ride as a hired assassin and the Sheriff's Office are trying to stay one step ahead of each other. Sheriff West is one tough Sheriff. She means to end the control these people have held over Shadow Island for decades. The Sawyers are ready to move on to new hunting grounds, but they want to wipe out all their former associates before leaving, even if it means their own son is caught in the crossfire. This book was hard to put down and it's a good read.
I’m still 100% captivated to continue reading Mary’s books. I tried on my own to make some guesses, no. I couldn’t match what I got to read. The storyline was fabulous. Thank you again for making my reading so enjoyable. 15 years ago basically was the start of my reading. I tried lots of different authors. When I caught wind of Mary Stone. Hook, line and sinker. Very much hooked. I loved this book. Happy and sad with plenty of suspense and nervousness. You did another with lots of flying colors. Yeah!
seven star.. Rebecca is devastated. Her world is falling apart . the Department is under siege.
Rebecca has been betrayed by Ryker. Her department is under siege. The deputies are doing their best but the Yacht Club has their back to wall and have made it their job to undermine the deputies every way they can. If they have their way Rebecca’s deputies are now fair game even as they try to protect the few they have caught. War has been declared and the bosses turn on the underlings they have trained for years.
Shadow’s Siege is fast paced, nonstop action! From the first page I was hooked. Mary Stone and Lori Rhodes have done it again! They have created intriguing characters in both the heroes and the villains. The intensity in this book makes it a spine tingling thriller. Also this is a book that cannot be put down. Cannot wait to see what lies ahead for Sheriff West and her deputies. I love this series and highly recommend!
Mary and Lori have outdone themselves and proved again why the Shadow Island series is my favorite. This was a nonstop action-packed page turner with great characters and lots of twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was gripping from the start to the finish. Definitely cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I am an ARC member, and this is my very honest review.
this book was the culmination of the search for the aquamafia. Rebecca and the rest of the sheriffs department worked diligently to unravel the lies and deception that surrounded the island. along the way Rebecca learns to trust her deputies more and give Trent more responsibility as he proves himself. there is a hitman involved and a prison break. A ruse to gather all the witnesses in a bomb plot. A rush to solve the crime and a showdown. who wins?but this is not the end......
Rebecca is busy coming to terms with the fact that her boyfriend is connected to the Yacht Club thru his parents. He has been using her all along. While trying to formulate a plan to rid the island of those running the club and their hired guns, Rebecca’s police station has the prisoners section blown up. One prisoner is dead and Ryker is missing. Rebecca’s team is searching every inch of the island to locate those responsible. This one will keep you reading till the end.
My favorite series ever. I'm so upset because Ryker was a victim and he didn't deserve to die. He protected Rebecca till the very end and his death hurt like hell.
Vera Sawyer is a psycho and she got off easy by being killed. She is absolutely sick and twisted and reading from her point of view made me sick.
I don't want Hoyt to retire. I'm going to miss Ryker. I'm so glad there is more books to come though and I'm looking forward to it.

When Rebecca finds out her boyfriend, Ryker, betrayed her & has connections to the Yacht Club, she is determined to get the leaders of the club. But at what cost? As members are dying, will she be able to get to the ones behind it all. This was a exciting book, one that is hard to put down until the end.
More destruction and more death as Ryker’s parents clean up and prepare to disappear.
The extent of the Yachts Club’s depredations becomes clearer, as the hired assassin demonstrates all of his military-honed skills, and the Sheriff’s department suffers another devastating loss.
I kept thinking about the story as i was at work today. I had left my iPad at work the night before. As soon as i got home today i started reading where i had left off. I had finished the book within a couple of hours. Love this author and the way she writes. Look forward to the next book.
Th realities of child abuse is real, but right at the end I completely disagree with the authors decision of wording concerning sexual abuse and a child. There was something very early in the beginning that made me cringe. The book was fine right until the last few chapters.
A strong series that is thankfully seeing an end to a very dark and twisted "Mafia" rule. Truly a One Man left Standing event. Definitely some tears too. As you go through the series you will see that there is no stopping the murders that go from book to book. Each book ends in a new murder. I wish the team could just take a breath. Time to see what the next murder brings.
Looks like there’s an assassin running amok on Shadow Island and it’s up to Rebecca and crew to hunt him down. The question is why he’s targeting the Aqua Mafia. Since the confession of Ryker Sawyer, everything has exploded. Is this the end of the Mafia?
A GREAT BOOK THAT IS WELL WRITTEN AND WILL KEEP YOU ENGROSSED TILL THE LAST PAGE. THE STORYLINE IS ORIGINAL WITH PLENTY OF TWISTS AND TURNS TO KEEP YOU TURNING THE PAGES TILL THE END. THE CHARACTERS ARE GREAT AND BECOME YOUR FRIEND DURING THE BOOK. WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?
Wow that was some conclusion to the yacht club story line. I enjoyed Trents turn around and growing as a police officer. I am glad it ended in a way that the series will continue. Loved this book. This is my favorite series of Mary Stones.
Shadow's Siege (Shadow Island FBI Mystery Series Book 15) By: Mary Stone and Lori Rhodes. “The Aqua Mafia’s has collapse!! The Sawyers are removing anything and everything that will acknowledge their existence. It’s book 15 get ready for one hell of a story. Phenomenal story!!!
The fifteenth book in the Shadow Island series was a great, fast paced mystery. It’s intense and very entertaining. Lots of non-stop action. Rebecca is a great character and I enjoy reading about her adventures.
This was awesome story about Rebecca and team trying to put an end the chaos going with the island and yacht club and losing another member of their team. There was lots of suspense and action. Thank you Mary and Lori for a super story.
OMG. This is one great ending. I had been waiting for this and I was not left down. I loved this book. The suspense was great. I could not put this book down. I can't wait for the next book in this series I highly recommend this book and series.
This series is a good one, the next book starts off where the last one left off, so a good idea to read in order. The writing flows and the paged go by quickly. The action never seems to stop and the solutions to the mystery not always clear.
This one was definitely a twisty nail-biter that had me crying at one point. Yes, I said, crying. Read it, and you'll find out why. Mary Stone keeps you enthralled till the very end.
Keep your running shoes tied while reading this one!
Another fast paced book! Sheriff Rebecca West and her deputies have to figure out why the Yacht Club members keep showing up dead. Are the heads of the Yacht Club cleaning house before moving on? The investigation and chases are on both land and the water. Another well written book. On now to book 16.
