When you need quick answers for developing or debugging Java programs, this pocket guide provides a handy reference to standard features of the Java programming language and its platform. You’ll find helpful programming examples, tables, figures, and lists, as well as Java 8 features such as Lambda Expressions and the Date and Time API. It’s an ideal companion, whether you’re in the office, in the lab, or on the road. This book also provides material to help you prepare for the Oracle Certified Associate Java Programmer exam.

I got this book as a giveaway from Goodreads - Thank you!
As my spouse is a programming genius, I handed this over to him for his review. Easiest way to say it is he loves it - it remains on his desk as a handy reference. Apparently, coding is sort of like learning a foreign language - you can be conversational in it, but, there are just certain things that don't stay in your mind - like the future conditional tense of irregular verbs. Having this reference guide makes it quick and easy to locate that one thing that has temporarily escaped your mind.
A great helper when someone wants to find out how to write Java code (I mean by syntax) quickly. It has nice coverage on all the fundamentals though not giving detailed explanation on some specific technical features (especially those introduced by Java 8). Overall as a pocket guide, it is good enough!
A handy reference guide complete with easy-to-understand examples, tables and diagrams. This is not meant to teach programming but is rather a must-have next to your computer as quick reference material. I would consider other "Pocket Guide"s if they are all as organized and accessible as this.
Simple a clear refresher of Java. Would be great if features that appeared after Java SE 6 were outlined specifically alongside the version they appeared in.
