Harper is a witch. The protégé in the Night Garden coven to her mother’s position, she wanted to forge her own path, taking jobs from the more questionable types to frame the even less favorable type.
Benjamin is a merman. Opening his shop, Seven Seas Aquariums & Sealife, he lived a relatively quiet life. Growing coral, herbs and plant life and teaching people about the creatures in the sea brought him peace.
When Benjamin has a target painted on his back, one that Harper is aimed for, he unsuspectingly lets her into his life. Only, Harper can’t find what she needs to finish the job. And her client is getting suspicious.

R.J. Lloyd started off as a romance writer under another pen name. However, R.J. is the side of this award winning, best selling author that delves into fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural, paranormal and all things action and spooky that she loves so much.
A Detroit area based author, R.J. writes both novels and short stories, always looking for the next interesting and slightly off kilter character to follow on an adventure with.
This was so fun to read! I was able to feel a little of every emotion with this novella. I love that it kept my attention the whole time. Here was no dull moment and everything ride together so well in the end! Beautifully written! Highly recommend taking the time to stop and read this one.
Harper and Benjamin are my favorite in Pharos Hills so far! I felt their connection almost immediately, and it didn't feel forced to me. I love that they both had such a strong support system, and they came together for them at the end ❤️
I want more! I love the plans that Benjamin set in motion for them at the end, and I want to see where it goes! The narrators were so good in this one and made it super enjoyable!
This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites and I literally enjoy each one more than the last. The chemistry between the FMC and the MMC is awesome. I enjoy getting lost in this world of magical creatures. Definitely a five star for me and I recommend everyone give it a read. Happy reading.
