⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫-4.75!
Fast and Reckless is a exciting sports romance that 100% has my heart.
Needless to say, I absolutely adored this book. The story was the perfect slowburn, and there was just the right amount of F1 entertainment to feel fully immersed in the plot-lines.
When I began this book, I immediately fell in love with Will and Mira's dynamic. They had something so incredibly special, and I loved to see that spark grow throughout the entirety of the book. The way they had their singular duties, but were always there for each other in one way or another. Not to mention the way they fell recklessly and completely head over heels for each other. It was the sweetest most adorable pairing that I had read in a while, and I truly need more of them. Plus, when they were fighting their own demons, they came together and knew there was someone to talk to at all times. And honestly, I think that may have been the best part.
Now, if you were wondering if F1 is a more current factor in this story, it is. Furthermore, it was done absolutely perfectly. As a F1 fan, and overall enjoyer of hearing things about the sport at any given moment, I loved being able to see it written on paper. Even though it was only "written on paper" I could feel the excitement of the races, and action behind what made Lennox such a success. With that being said, I believe Lennox should become a read F1 team, and all the characters must become real life humans...
The side characters-
I loved all the side characters(for the most part). Violet was an absolute gem. The way that she had a spunky personality, and always had something to say resonates with me. All of those unique and special qualities are what made her perfect for the role that she had, and her spot as Mira's kind of best friend. She was hilarious, adventurous, and never ashamed of what she was saying. Additionally, the way that she constantly bullied Will into doing different press activities had me rolling over laughing. We definitely need to see more of her in the future.
However, something I did not love, and don't tend to with a lot of books, is the "I am leaving to help you" trope. Especially when in this case, Mira did it even though Will specifically told her it would not help in any way. However, I think the part about this that annoyed me the most is that Mira told her father that she disliked when he sent her back home to keep her safe. It is the same scenario, different font, and I felt that it seemed incredibly hypocritical of her. Why do something to someone that you did not like when it happened to you?
Other than that, I absolutely devoured this book and am incredibly excited to see what comes next!

Este ha sido mi primer contacto con la Fórmula 1, y siendo sincera, quitando el que no me enteraba de la mitad de las cosas cuando hablaban de las carreras (ya que no sé nada sobre el deporte), me ha gustado muchísimo.
Está bien leer romances sobre enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, Fake dating (me encantan esos libros), pero también está bien encontrarte con un libro en el que no haya nada de eso, si no que se ven por primera vez, se conocen, y poco a poco va surgiendo esa atracción el uno por el otro que acaba convirtiéndose incontrolable.
Le he cogido bastante cariño a los personajes, sobre todo a Mira, Will y Violet ( esta última no es protagonista pero me cae genial jaja) y es una historia que se lee muy rápido, es ligera, y tiene un final precioso que te derretirá el corazón 😍❤️
Si que es verdad que le pongo 4 estrellas por que aparte de que he leído libros muy muy buenos de romance últimamente (no digo que esté no lo sea, si no que hay otros que lo superan), también siento que ha habido momentos en los que no pasaba nada, y como que sentía que faltaba algo más. Pero sin duda lo recomiendo muchísimo.
Como dice en la portada del libro: “Un romance que te acelerará el corazón” y está en todo lo cierto, cuando descubras la historia de los personajes y todos sus secretos, no vas a querer separarte del libro 🏁🔥❤️

I've never read a racing themed book, but I truly enjoyed this one! Mira is a lovely character and her character development throughout the book was amazing to see unfold! I absolutely loved her and the MMC. This book truly tugged at me as Mira was so relatable and wanting to get the respect from her father. I felt like I learned a bit about the racing world and now I want to read more racing themed books! And that epilogue!!! So beautiful. Wonderful read that even had a little spice!

the two of them could not have been down bad faster even if they tried.
I haven’t read many f1 romances before (I think just one actually), and I really enjoyed that part. It was clearly well researched and I ate it up.
Mira’s character was prob my fav. I couldn’t get down with the reformed f-boy immediately down bad for her because it felt tooo fast.
If you’re in the mood for something fast paced and fun, def pick this one up. But it’s not entirely deep or moving.

Ta książka jest dla mnie z jednej strony ciekawa, a z drugiej strony irytująca.
Z perspektywy F1 niewybaczane jest używanie słowa „rajdowy” w odniesieniu do tego sportu - tutaj niestety tak było.
Na dodatek autorka popełniła kilka błędów logicznych dot. tego sportu.
Jednak same wyścigi było opisane zaskakująco dobrze i co tutaj nie pisać - wciągnęła się w nie.
Relacja między bohaterami też nie była najgorsza - za wyjątkiem początku i pierwszego spotkania.
Jestem ciekawa kolejnej części i na zachętę daje 2,5.

Skończyłam wczoraj i musze przyznać, że było to mega przeciętne. Nie spodziewałam się nie wiadomo czego bo opis też zdradzał już, że to nie musi być najlepsze. Lecz ze względu na moją od niedawna zajawe na formułę, stwierdziłam, że przeczytam. No dobrze, że nie miałam wysokich oczekiwań bo tak bym się zawiodła, że szkoda słów. Samo to, że siegnęłam po to przez formułę, a Formuły tu prawie nie było. Świat bohaterów się wokół niej kręcił, a ja mam wrażenie, że jej tam wcale nie było. Jak już to taka zapchaj dziura. Mega przykro bo chociaż takie małe urywki z każdego miasta by były fajne, jak on jedzie, z kim najbardziej konkuruje podczas jazdy i jakie miejsce zdobywa. Ja naprawdę nie wymagam dużo. Niektóre miasta to nawet były, a nie dostaliśmy żadnej informacji które miejsce zajął.
Sam watek romantyczny no nie był zbytnio dobry. ,,Uczucie" powstało dosłownie w momencie, gdy się pierwszy raz zobaczyli I to było tak złe. Nienawidzę takiego działania, tymbardziej, że laska ma trudna przyszłość, przychodzi do pracy jako nowa ona ale widzi go i już o wszystkim zapomina i się jara jaki on sliczny. No błagam. Samo to, że on tak ciągle naciskał na nią. Ona niby nie chce ale się nie broni. No Jezu. Jeszcze ona mu mówi, że jest kobieciarzem, dosłownie jakiś miesiąc temu znalazła stanik w jego domu, ale nie, on już taki nie jest i boli go jej opinia. Matko minął miesiąc ale ty sie juz tak zmieniłeś, weźcie bo padnę. Autorka ma bardzo płynny i przyjemny styl pisania, to że rozdziały były krotkie było cudowne ale niestety treść wszystko psuje. Nie było to jakieś najgorsze na świecie więc nie będę mega źle oceniać bo się jednak w to jakoś wciagnelam no ale nie polecam tego czytać, tymbardziej dla fanów F1.

Fast paced, spicy, & entertaining. If I hadn’t had to stop for dinner, I would’ve read this book in one sitting. The authors writing style is so easy to digest & get lost in.

This is my first F1 sports romance I've read and I really didn't know what to expect. Overall, I did enjoy the book and liked both the main characters. I really have nothing bad to say about it. It was well written, it was the perfect length, the plot clipped along, and I think you'd really enjoy it if you're into Formula 1. It didn't wow me, but it was a solid sports romance.

Me encantaron Will y Mira, mis bebes. Me encanto sus personalidades y su relación. Si que es verdad que me esperaba tal vez un poco más de desarrollo entre ellos dos.
Violet es mi fav también y tengo un montón de ganas de leer su libro. Es como el único personaje que no se me quedó plano, de relleno.

Wątek zakazanej miłości oraz jej skutki i to jak radzą sobie z tym bohaterzy jest zdecydowanie jedną z lepszych historii miłosnych.
Tym razem wszystko się dzieje wkoło szybkich bolidów , szybkiej prędkości i zawrotnej akcji w akompaniamencie Formuły 1.
Była to dla mnie pozycja idealna by móc znaleźć odskocznię od dnia i miło spędzić czas. Sam styl pisania był wprost bardzo dobry przez co lektura się nie dłużyła i można było nawet przeczytać szybko całość.
Nie każdy lubi wątek ukrytej relacji, a jest on tutaj cały czas i został przez autorkę nawet sprawnie poprowadzony. Bohaterowie zostali również pokiereszowani przez przeszłość.
Will z powodu swoich głupich czynów pokrapianych alkoholem, a Mira przez (uwaga tego osobnika na pewno znienawidzicie) osobę poznaną w młodym wieku. Tym razem wszystko się dzieje wkoło szybkich bolidów , szybkiej prędkości i zawrotnej akcji w akompaniamencie Formuły 1.
Była to dla mnie pozycja idealna by móc znaleźć odskocznię od dnia i miło spędzić czas. Sam styl pisania był wprost bardzo dobry przez co lektura się nie dłużyła i można było nawet przeczytać szybko całość.
Nie każdy lubi wątek ukrytej relacji, a jest on tutaj cały czas i został przez autorkę nawet sprawnie poprowadzony. Bohaterowie zostali również pokiereszowani przez przeszłość.
Will z powodu swoich głupich czynów pokrapianych alkoholem, a Mira przez (uwaga tego osobnika na pewno znienawidzicie) osobę poznaną w młodym wieku. Fast & Reckless, sem dúvida a história faz jus ao título.
Não é o primeiro romance de F1 que leio e por norma adoro-os. Este não foi o melhor que já li, mas ainda assim gostei muito.
Gostei de conhecer a Mira e o Will e de ver como lidaram com todas as situações e adorei a Violet - sinceramente espero que o próximo livro seja dela, porque merece!!
E as partes da F1? Foram o que mais gostei. Está tão bem escrito que me fez mesmo sentir que estava lá a ver as corridas.
É um livro leve, com uma escrita fluída e daqueles ótimos para lerem em 1 dia 🤭
Gostava só que o romance não fosse tão rápido e que o assunto "sou o rapaz novo e a equipa só se dedica ao Matteo" não tivesse ficado perdido nas primeiras páginas.

Ha tenido algunas escenas que me han gustado, pero definitivamente no ha sido para mí. Sin embargo, el libro está bien y se lo recomendaría a cualquier otra persona que viera un sport romance ligero.

When they have instant chemistry the second they meet, Mira knows that she’s in trouble.
This book had it all, excitement, sweet romantic moments, spice and more! I enjoyed it so much and it was such a nice surprise! Read this in 1 sitting. For anyone who really liked Lauren Asher’s Dirty Air series, you’ll love this!

This book appealed to me because of the Formula one setting. I have read very, very few romances with this as a backdrop (only 3 come to mind!) so I was looking forward to something a little outside of my norm. This is also my first read by this author, so of course I had no idea whether or not I would connect with her writing style. I'm happy to report that I really enjoyed Amanda Weaver's writing-most especially her attention to detail in describing the racing world. You really get a behind the scenes look at not only some of what a driver experiences, but the support team including engineers, assistants, and principal. I don't watch racing, so it was great to learn a little bit more about this competitive field. You can really tell when an author takes the time to put in extensive research and it's glaringly obvious Amanda Weaver took that aspect very seriously. Kudos to her for bringing the characters and setting to life so brilliantly.
This book has a strong forbidden romance theme from both the male and female leads' side. Will is the new driver for Mira's father's team and he is determined to prove that his disastrous party boy ways are in his past. His reputation is still in tatters after he let fame get to his head and acted unprofessionally his first time as a driver.
Will was the wild card, the hotheaded bad boy, the flashy angle they’d use to sell their stories.
He wants to redeem himself in the media and prove to his new boss that he made the right choice taking a chance on him. Getting involved with his boss' daughter is the last thing that would achieve that. On Mira's side, she has a lot to prove as well. She got involved with a driver from another team which caused a lot of damage to her father's team after a scandal broke out. Now both Mira and Will are looking for redemption-the absolute last thing they are looking for is an ill-advised attraction. I enjoyed this forbidden theme quite a bit, it added some tension and anticipation. There was also a sense of foreboding as they got closer to giving into their feelings because you know everything is going to blow up in their faces quite spectacularly. It's pretty much inevitable.
Well, that extremely inconvenient blast of physical attraction was going straight into a trunk, padlocked, and dumped into the depths of the ocean, because there was no way. Not ever. He was one thousand percent off-limits for a million different reasons.
Mira and Will both have their own individual struggles causing internal conflicts. Mira feels a deep sense of shame over her past foolish involvement with a man who used her horribly and ruined her reputation. She was a rebellious teenager who made a stupid decision and that choice almost destroyed her father's team as well as her own chance at a career in Formula 1. The man from her past is still around, and never fails to taunt her with her personal demons. Will is struggling to prove to the media as well as his team that his head is 100% focused on winning. More than that, he wants to become a success to finally make his snobby parents proud. He was always a disappointment to them for not joining the family banking business, and their approval is never within reach. I do wish this conflict was explored as much as Mira's was, but that's nitpicking if I'm being honest.
Mira and her father's relationship is damaged, but slowly, gradually, they begin to work their way back to a stronger place. There is a definite lack of communication between the two that has led to some hurt feelings and misunderstandings over her past mistakes. Mira is upset that her father seemingly judges her bad decisions and that there is still distrust on his side that she can be responsible. He is not the most expressive, open person so there is a bit of a wall between them. Their fragile relationship added another layer to the forbidden romance between Will and Mira because she did not want her actions to ever negatively impact her father again.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one and would definitely read another by this author in the future. Even if you're not a fan of Formula 1, there is a lot to appreciate with this romance and I'm sure you will find the detailed racing world immersive. There were hints that one of the secondary characters named Violet will be getting her own story told next, and I'm fully on board for continuing on with the series with that installment.

Amanda Weaver's Fast & Reckless is a perfectly enjoyable contemporary romance that delivers exactly what you'd expect—a passionate and tumultuous love story with some fast cars, and glamorous settings. However, while it was a pleasant read, it ultimately felt somewhat unremarkable and predictable, which kept it from being truly memorable.
I felt that Weaver did a good job of creating the tension and attraction between Will and Mira even though it was a bit insta-lovey for my liking. Both main characters were likable, even though I wanted to throttle Miranda for The secondary characters were also charming, but ultimately didn’t add much depth to the story. Both Samantha Summers and Zac Smith did a great job of bringing each character to life.
I liked the descriptions of the racing world and- while I know nothing about Formula 1 and therefore couldn’t say if the depictions were accurate- they felt authentic and exciting. It was, for me anyway, a unique backdrop for a contemporary romance and consequently gave it a fresh feel.
That said, the plot, while solidly crafted, felt a bit formulaic at times. The conflicts between the characters were resolved almost as soon as they arose, and the stakes for the main relationship never felt particularly high.
Overall, Fast & Reckless is a fun read. It’s the kind of book that I had a good time reading, but will probably not linger in my mind afterward.

Llevaba unas semanas con mono de leer una historia protagonizada por un piloto de carreras. Así que la publicación de este libro me vino genial😂
Lo primero que quiero destacar es algo que creo que apenas se valora en bookstagram y que es imprescindible para creae una buena historia: ladocumentación. La autora presenta el mundo de la F1 de forma cuidada y meticulosa. Te mete de lleno en él, lo que contribuye a crear un escenario creíble.
El ritmo de la narración también es uno de los puntos fuertes de la novela. A pesar de que la historia en general se siente algo plana, quieres seguir leyendo. No se te hace pesado y la historia fluye. Sin embargo, es cierto que me habría gustado un poco de intensidsd. Giros emocionantes o desarrollos sorprendentes en la trama. En general, el libro es muy monótono.
Al igual que el romance. Es tierno, es bonito, pero no ha logrado despertar una gran emoción. Me han faltado que sus altibajos fueran más profundos de complicaciones. Al igual que el conflicto, que se queda bastante corto. Creo que el conflicto es más bien la evolución de Mira y, aunque hay, tampoco es una evolución que destaque. Creo que se podría haber dado más juego. Sí se exploran sus luchas internas, pero este desarrollo emocional podía haber sido más intenso y matizado.
Eso sí, he amado al personaje de Violet. Tiene una personalidad muy marcada y ojalá haya historia de ella🩵

Sort of torn on what to put down about this because I did like it! The couple were well matched and the race vibes were very good even though I found the face calendar a bit confusing. But I continue to not quite get what I want from F1 romances--I get why it's so tempting to have both people be involved with the sport, but when authors do this, I spend the whole time stressed about the reputation of women in sports and then the authors don't tend to do much with that? Which isn't really what happens here, the author dives into it. But I think I just want books that are more focused on the celebrity of it all and I'm not getting that yet.

Fast and Reckless is a Formula one romance that offers an exhilarating mix of romance and excitement, with a dash of that forbidden love trope we all love. The slow build toward the romance was perfectly paced, keeping me engaged and eager for the moment they finally got together. Once they did, it was fun, steamy, and definitely worth the wait. Fans of Throttle will undoubtedly enjoy the similar fast-paced and passionate vibe. This book delivers on sexy, fun, and heart-pounding moments—I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a thrilling romance!

Mi primer contacto con la fórmula 1 no podría haber sido mejor. Lo muchísimo que he disfrutado de esta historia, desde la primera página. Es una novela muy adictiva, narrada en tercera persona, que nos presenta a Will y a Mira. Desde el primer momento la tensión entre estos dos es maravillosa y cómo la trata la autora a lo largo de todo el libro es genial.
Me ha encantado, tanto por sus personajes, como por la adictiva que ha sido. Estoy deseando leer más libros de la f1 y ojalá sean igual de buenos.

This was such a fun read ☺️!!!
To be honest, at first, I was kind of scared because the book is in 3rd person pov & I sometimes have a really hard time with reading books in this pov but it wasn’t the case in this one 💜 and I am so happy I didn’t stop reading it because of that because this book was really fun!!
If there’s 1 thing I can never get enough of in books, it’s banter between the 2 main characters & this book had plenty of it and I ATE IT UP😮💨
I also loved how relatable Mira is!! There was a couple times where I was like, girl same 🤭
And the spice was 🤭😮💨🔥
