A memory is a terrible thing to lose, especially when it can save your life.
Elzora has discovered the truth of her magicae. She’s a soul witch, a type that’s been hunted to extinction because they’re too powerful.
Not only does she need to learn all she can about this new world as quickly as possible, but she and her men must fight to keep her alive until she matures, when she’ll be the unstoppable Primordial Queen. The crown has declared her the rightful ruler, the heir to Mitagus.
When danger lurks around every corner and you’re missing crucial bits of information, how do you gain the upper hand?
Will the Queen be crowned or will her struggle to gain information cost her her life?
Oracle Witch is the second instalment in the Primordial Queen series. This series is a slow-burn, slow-build, reverse harem romance, and there is a guaranteed HEA at the end of the fifth book.
Letty Frame is a romance author who writes in the reverse harem genre. #whychoose, right? Letty lives in ever-rainy England with her fiancé and newborn daughter. Between baby playdates and boring household tasks, Letty gives the voices in her head the freedom to tell their stories. Whether that’s in the form of a wolf-shifter on a quest to defeat her stalker or a witch trying to find her place in the world, Letty loves every story they bring her!
Zoe is hiding in plain sight. Pretending she still doesn't know her magicae so that she doesn't disappear like all the other soul witches. Well, except the one she's not supposed to know about. But while she's being small and still, the wheels around her are still turning.
Spoilers ahead. There's too much packed in here and hardly any time is spent on any of it. Big events are glossed over, little ones last pages, and too many happened off screen. This honestly could have been 2 books to focus and flesh out certain scenes better. While the revelations don't stop, they're adjusted to far too quickly. Certain ones deserve more time, more attention than they received. And we're still being shorted bonding moments. While we finally have a better idea of what they look like, we still don't see them on their missions. We don't see them in their own studies. We don't see them in family dinners, or playing games, or practicing magicae, or... You can't fall in love with characters you don't know. The mystery and political intrigue is a hook sure but it's not enough. Especially when it's still partially hidden. And now we have the guys taking their anger and hurt feelings out on Zoe. Who still cries all the time. Which, I get it, anxiety tears you up. But her glasses need wipers or they need to teach her a spell to clean them. But them knowing about her anxiety, hearing her thoughts and still reacting that way towards her...sort of proves their words a lie. Hence why I harp about bonding time. Why would someone stay with people who emotionally abuse them without something to balance it out? Element controlled temperment or not, some of what's said is going to leave some emotional scarring. This series just doesn't have the same charm to me as the wolf (Death not Luna) one. Zoe doesn't set and hold her boundaries as well. She allows herself to be walked over and talked down to. And out of 9 mates few are doing a good job of protecting her agency in her stead. I honestly feel only Jasper is being truthful about his feelings, himself and his life currently. And everyone just mocks him and excludes him. Even Zoe. Oh, and she raised a crap ton of ghosts in her sleep and then it was immediately forgotten. V tried to warn them like it was a major event but was ignored until it happened. But that single scene was just abandoned and poofed out of existence.
Elora (Zoe) has discovered her magic ability, and the fact that she is a rare Soul Witch, but still needs time to mature in it. Those around her must keep her safe until she's fully matured and can become the Primordial Queen and rightful ruler. With her title comes danger, and people who wish to get rid of her. Can she make it to her maturity and take her rightful place as the queen?
Book two showcases Zoe's growth and how she's coming into her powers and abilities. Shes believable and is easy to connect with, especially in the way she deals with emotions and problems. Her men also have some interesting changes and each one brings something a little different to their relationship.
This was a lovely reverse harem that just came out 4 days ago. Letty did a good job. little conclusion i loved this book from start to finish. And definitely recommended. before you start with this book, of course read Secret witch because this is book 2 😜
I am really enjoying this series, I love the slow burn and world building, the characters have drawn me in and the multiple POVs have invested me fully in the story. I cannot wait for book three
I was lucky enough to be given an ARC by the author. I was in love with the previous installment and this book pick up exactly when the other finished. Zoe has a lot of self doubts but is battling them with the help of her mates. It was painful sometimes to read. The mating bonds are growing, relationships deepening, with the addition of a ninth mate (finally!).
I suck at writing reviews because my mind goes blank. LF needs to write longer books like my other favorite RH writer Erica Woods. I wanted all the scenes that we were teased with (not sexual) to bring in another scene. No hot sex scenes in this book. There is a good foreplay scene and a sex scene that was meh for a reason. Brought in male bonding. Even without the hot sex this is one of favorite RH series.
This is a large Harem story. Nine Guys. I love all of them except Jasper. He’s prickly but not abusive. His thoughts are amusing. We get fun bonding time between the men and some heartfelt moments.
Zoey has anxiety which is painful . This messes with your mind brings in negative thoughts. She is learning to change some of her thought patterns. She is extremely powerful but does not know how to use her powers. She’s getting there.

This really shook the plot up! Zoe is such a thinker and just kind person, and she has all these slightly crazy men to deal with. Some causing her more stress and heartache than others (im looking at you jas).
I am not going to lie, about halfway I had a pause because in the midst of a lot of action I got really worried where this was going and really didnt want to see Zoe hurt, but thankfully it took another turn and instead of causing a rift in the group it might bring them closer? Hopefully, it ended on another cliffhanger so fingers crossed.
(Also I felt like dying when «vagina» is the spell for (male?) birth control. Like, I dont care what it means in latin, thats ….no. And ehy does the whole group got to feel everything she does with individual people in the group, that is weird)
I loved reading the multiple point of views. There’s now 9 men in her harem, and it’s now a “closed circuit”? I think that’s the term Vex (aka Vitalis) used. Vitalis is another Soul Witch who have already reached puberty. He’s also deep in with the rebels and reports to Anonum, her uncle. It’s also been talked about that he never killed her parents. We got to hear him speak to Vitalis a number of times with her visiting him when she’s asleep. Vitalis and Anonum didn’t want her to know but she picked up clues from Etrix(primordial dark witch) who is also a rebel. When the crown glowed for his half brother Eirik (ruler of the 4 elements wit h), he been tossed away and with to many to count murder attempts on his life, he pushed his group of friends away. Including his potential bond to Cial (primoridial light witch). At the end, they hashed out their differences by fighting it with their fists and magic. Thankfully, men being men bonded after they released the anger. Elzora(soul witch, oracle witch, mate finder witch, dream scape witch, also has an affinity for all the elements wind, water, fire, earth and light and dark magic), and the 4 guys go for pizza in the human realm and witches show up with the itch for a fight. After the bad witches are dead, they head back to the academy to her dorm. Elzora suffered a panic attack at the knowledge of the potential hurt her guys could experienced if the bad witches got ahold of her. She is knocked out but her own magic comes out while she is sleeping and bonds Eirik, Cial, Ryes(elemental air witch), Zohar (elemental water witch -healer) Jasper (elemental earth witch) and she rebonds Mael (elemental fire witch) as well to keep him included in the new connections. They all have to hide their bonded marks because it will out her as a soul witch. Due to her panic attack, she connects unexpectedly with Vitalis, at this point she still doesn’t know who he is and what he is or what he is to Her. She figures out he’s a soul witch and with Anonums permission takes all their memories. She now has a huge magic upgrade. And is told her studies have been suspended due to not showing magical promise since she’s been hiding her magic due to the constant threat that Soul witches have been exterminated due to being too powerful. They all decide to move to Necos (primordial time witch), it’s safer there and they can focus on her studies. This is when the group finds out that Etrix took Elzora to the rebels head quarters and meets Vitalis face to face. She finds out that she took Ryes memory and had to keep the secret of knowing about Vitalis. When Etrix was also a rebel, and Necos as well. They all want to murder Eirik’s and Etrix’s dad. Eirik loses his mind, Mael accuses her of cheating since she felt her kiss another of her mates who wasn’t apart of their bonded group, Ryes is happy to jump on board to kill the king (Eirik and Etrix dad). Cial just kinda stood back. After they all calm down, Vitalis appears and apologizes for taking their memory (last chapter of book 1), and introduces himself to the group. This leads to Ryes and Elzora to have their first time together. I thought the act was sorta beautiful but the hurtful words he tossed at her the next day was rough to take, even if he apologized. I don’t necessarily agree with some of the reviews i read. The guys don’t harp on her when she’s at her limit. They encourage her to push through but not at the expense of herself. I rated it 4 stars because Elzora has really low confidence. Like she flushed it down the toilet and hasn’t found it yet. She’s constantly thinking the worst about herself, constantly, and doesn’t see any of her progress. She doesn’t listen to the guys when they try to boost her confidence, her characteristic hasn’t changed at all since the first book. It was old to start with. She cries all the time, and forgives everyone no matter how bad she was treated. Sometimes the guys would unintentionally say something that would put her down in public, not meaning it that way but it’s the way she takes things. It was difficult to connect with her due to this reason alone. Her knowledge of magic has grown exponentially but her own confidence is still at the stage of wanting to please everyone, and if she thinks she didn’t get it right, water works start. She constantly has to break up fights with the guys or remind them not to be mean to each other with name calling. She’s just really sweet, to sweet at times. Otherwise I enjoyed the mystery of the book.
I struggled with this book, the first kind of set it up and I was waiting for it to be a amazing but it wasn’t.
A lot happens in this book but almost nothing at all at the same time. The FMC is a huge wet blanket, I don’t mind a weaker FMC but man does this girl cry. She’s very immature I keep forgetting she’s 20 and this girl has zero backbone, the guys hurt her feelings - she gets sad eyes and cries, they apologise and everything is OK again. The guys blow up at the smallest things and she’s either crying or smiling, it gets irritating. The MMC’s are equally as irritating, again I forget they’re in their 20’s because they’re so childish and bicker like kids. They all have crazy mood swings and fight all the time. I kind of liked ryhs until the end that kind of ruined his allure for me. I cannot understand why jaspers even in the harem, he hugely resents Zoe - doesn’t even like her and the only interactions he has with her is when he’s being a complete jerk and she just smiles at him, she seriously needs a backbone. The sex scene at the end is just so random, besides the odd kisses there’s hardly been anything sexual between the characters and then all of a sudden she’s having sex, it just seemed so out of place and kind of just thrown in there.
Obviously there’s some plot holes and like some major things happened but then they’re not mentioned but there’s so much focus on her lessons like growing flowers in detail - it just seemed poorly paced. Honestly if these guys think she’d make a good queen, they’re delusional, she cries far too much, she never stands up for her self and she demands every injured person to be healed - shes just so blah.
WARNING! Cliffhanger level 2/5. This one leaves off after a big event, but not an unfinished one. Minimal trauma can be expected, and the next book will go on the wishlist!
Zoe is coming to know the men in her harem, and the magical world she is new to. As her skills and knowledge grow, she has new situations and revelations to deal with.
A plot driven tale, this features a large harem, with nine men by the end of the book. There is one small sex scene, several make out scenes, and a lot of bonding with her mates, but ultimately the story is about the rise of a queen to power. Some fairly big reveals occur in this book, but there is a long way to go before Zoe and her team are ready for the finish line.
It’s a good book, with some interesting characters, and an engaging plot. Most of the characters are likeable, while some (I’m looking at you Jasper) try their hardest to be jerks. It’s actually what makes them more believable. While Zoe is high powered, she’s not perfect by any means. Her natural empathy and her anxiety disorder make her prone to cowering and crying; but she slowly gains strength, resilience, and courage as the book progresses. This makes for a story in which readers can recognize theirselves in Zoe, and which becomes even more attention grabbing for it.
An enjoyable paranormal/contemporary fantasy reverse harem romance, recommended for those who enjoy those genres.
Book 2 of unfinished series, not a trilogy. This is a strong, complex series with an emphasis on world building and in depth character development. It is well written and entertaining. Our heroine now has 9 bond mates and many mysteries confound her. She is a difficult character to review because she's always crying. She clearly has no self confidence and blames herself for anything that goes wrong. But, since we never had a background story, there is absolutely no explanation for why she is like that. Having nine rambunctious mates, who kill enemies for a living, leads to lots of bickering and practical jokes. All this chaos disturbs her empathic soul and she lives in constant fear. That aspect continues through the book and it was irritating, but I enjoyed the story and actually purchased book three as it was not available on kindle unlimited. Now I see there will be more than three books, so a wait will ensue.
After I finished the book I just sat there for 5 minutes and did nothing - utterly stunned! But, I’m jumping to the end here!
Elzora (Zoe) is a very believable and human character. I love seeing her grow and change into her new role and use her magicae powers. I really like how the character development of her men is so interesting - and each one is different. Do I have a favorite? Yes. Although I’m not telling! I think that’s my favorite part of Letty Frame’s writing - the characters are excellent and so well developed.
Does this book make me want more? Yes. Could I stop reading it once I started? No. That to me is the measure of a great book. Do I want to live in this world and experience everything Zoe does? Yes.
I finished this book at 9 pm ET last night and stayed awake until 11 pm ET - just thinking about this book! Way to go, Letty! Can I have the next one, please?
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. This book was better than the first one and towards the beginning of the second book still frustrated me with how each characters acted but once it got to the middle and end of the book it got better. I love the plot and the story line but I think the character development could have been a bit better and how each character processed/ developed with each situation they came across. Other than the that I love where the story is going and can't wait for the third book to come out!!! I wonder how everything is going to end. Hoping there's a better character development with Jasper I hope we get more scenes and moments with Ellie's bonded witchmeas, and maybe more spicy scenes with each of her mates or even one big orgy😂😏

Good but chaotic as well. Zoe needs to get a backbone and stop crying over everything. She has nine soulmates who also need to grow up. How they all call themselves friends is beyond me. All they do is fight and talk about how much they hate each other or the type of witch they are. There are big reveals that go no where. The guys don’t actually encourage her to grow and mature but then most of the guys aren’t mature either. They are all in their twenties but you would think high school based on how everyone acts. The story has promise and I’ll read the final book but I hope it settles and the I. Fighting stops. It’s hard to enjoy when it’s always chaotic with the guys and she cries about everything.
I struggle with this series. I want to see where it goes but the author moves from huge plot point to the next huge plot point without giving you time to process. She doesn’t give her characters time to react, either. There’s almost too much happening.
Plus, I don’t think the guys treat the MFC all that well. They hide so much from her as though they don’t trust that she can handle anything. How much of that is because the action that happens to her is non-stop, I don’t know. But I don’t like how these guys keep hurting her and keeping secrets from her and treating her like she’s incapable.
I will probably keep reading the series because I’m curious where it’s going. I just hope it gets better.
This book picks up where the last one ended and I’m so glad I got to see more of Zoe and her guys. It was interesting to see them interact though I wish there was more focus on the magic, but it is a romance novel and not magic 101, so I’ll just keep hoping for more peeks of her magic in the rest of the series. Have to say, I don’t think I have a favorite guy yet, but some are getting close. Mael on the other hand needs to do some reading to realize everything he did. Hoping for more individual scenes with the guys and more of Zoe being a badass although her thoughts and feelings make her more real to me. Great book and can’t wait for the next one.
3.25 stars. I had real problems with how often the FMC cries. There is one time I feel like the crying fits, but this woman is supposed to be 20, not 15. Having been a negative self-talk, self-harm, etc. person, I get that we can twist ourselves up, but this is overboard for me. The whole school thing is weird, the guys are a mixed bag, and no one is utter perfection all the time. Yet, I want to know about the uncle, Mr. Downey, how the issues that have been brought up are going to be handled, and I need more Tien, please. I'm pretty sure I know who murdered her parents, but I hope I'm wrong and I'm in for a surprise. YMMV Happy Reading!
I read the first book last Sept (2024), and then moved on to a different series. I ran across it again a couple of days ago and read it again. Now, finishing the second book, I'm glad I gave it a second chance.
The FMC is more emotional and timid than I usually like, but she is starting to come into her own. It is an interesting dynamic to read. I thoroughly enjoyed this second book. I will be moving onto the third book. There was a three year gap between books two and three, so I hope the fourth book doesn't take as long. There are supposed to be five in the series, I think.
I am continuing to love Elzora’s story! She makes a lot of great strides in this book and she’s finally got most, if not all, of her men by her side by the end of this book. There’s a lot of interesting twists and turns and the truth of Zoe’s past is finally getting clearer. I feel like there’s still a lot there that we haven’t uncovered yet though. The guys are great, I love the strides she has made especially with Ryes. Jasper is still growing on me though. And so is Necos for that matter but in a different way. I can’t wait to see what the next book brings after that ending!
I love how Elzora is forming in this book. She is actually growing with her powers and her men are being awesome. I love their dynamics in the book.
Despite the fact they argue and constantly bicker. They never fail to make Elzora feel as if she is their world. That nothing she says would be taken lightly. Like the true queen she is supposed to be in this series.
I am curious to see if her visions of the future are what they are. Is her uncle really her friend or her foe? I can't wait to find out.
Letty wrote a fantastic book as expected. It was fun to discover new things about all the characters. I love how everyone in Elzora's bond is starting to connect to each other and they are becoming more of a unit. The book doesn't end on a massive cliffhanger but definitely leaves you wanting to know what is next and begging for more. I can't wait to see what else will happen on Elzora's journey in the next installment. 100/10 definitely a book that needs to be read.
I loved book 2 in the series. There is a lot of discovery and her bonds get stronger with the sexy men. I love how Zoe learns to accept herself more and become more confident in herself and her bonds are coming together nicely. It sucks you in because you absolutely need to know what is going to happen next. And that ending, holy cow! I absolutely loved it all and can't wait for the next book! Highly recommend.
Oracle Witch continues Zoe’s story and see her continuing to learn about her magic and getting to know her mates. I enjoyed reading this book, the story was interesting and kept me turning the pages to find out what happened next. It was nice to see Zoe beginning to manage her anxiety a bit more in this book. Overall, a good book that kept my attention, a bit slower paced than what I normally like but I did enjoy it. I would recommend giving it a read.
I don’t know if it’s just the stuff that I have been reading lately, but this book seems overly cutesy. I love how sweet and kind Zoe is, but it almost reads as younger when they aren’t. I like the story, and at the end there is a totally believable scene that I think many writers exaggerate normally (if you read it you will understand 😂🫡) which was a nice change actually. I do believe Zoe is too forgiving but it’s ok. This is a cozy comfort kind of read.
I'm continuing to love this story as it unfolds. I love that all of the men don't necessarily like each other, but they'll all work together for her. While there is minimal spice, there is lots of plot. I love how Zoe can be meek and anxious, but she always voices her opinion and stands up when it matters. She still has a few men who have not settled into the harem yet, and I cannot wait to see how everything unfolds.
Elzora is back. This book after the way book one ended I couldn't wait to jump right in and man it did not disappoint. We start to see the growth with Elzora learning her magicae powers. Along with the mate bond growing. We do start to get answers but are left with more plus a major cliffhanger that leaves you questioning everything. I can't wait for book three.
So many different secrets and lies are revealed in this installment. Zoe finally gains all her mates and finds out who she truly is but there's so much more to be learned. The group bonds and fights together but separate while outside forces are trying to take her away. I'm excited to see what the next adventure is and when the real revenge starts.
The second installment of Elzora’s story was fantastic! Seeing Elzora grow into herself, discover new things about herself and her world, and the bonds with her me grow and come together was all fabulous! This story was full of action, intimate moments, love, and so much more. I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end and I can’t wait to see what comes next!
Loved this book so much. After finishing I really needed a moment to take it all in. I love Zoe and the guys. She takes things on stride but does feel emotional. I'd be the same so I can feel along with her. The author males the caracters believable human beings and I love that. Can't wait for more!
