Probably the last read of January.
Looks like the ant king was just a little better than the demon king, Goto and the ant king never stood a chance against sung.
sung exposed that he has the ability to raise dead hunters as shadows in front of all the Japanese S ranks who took part in jeju Island raid, its smart as well that he terminated the summon after they used the heal.
We introduce a new Minion Rank and this time its General, and we see it twice as well, but the Ant Queen is only good for breeding, and it was conflicting the control power of Sung over the rest of the Ants, so another termination.
The move i was waiting for to happen, monsters in human form, apparently as powerful as sung, they think he is one of them, and are surprised why he is helping the humans, also they speak of a coming hunt, where they detect one of the preys in Korea, but they are leaving it for sung to take care of apparently, this part was vague, so you just have to be on the same brain wave as the writer. Am i Right or wrong?!
The Upgrader woman, i felt that she would fail, as everyone else i guess, because he already had no limit to his powers, But the weird thing is, She saw something looking back at her inside him, and he doesn't have a recollection of that, he doesn't even know what freaked her out.
This also Marks the end of season 1 of Solo leveling, which is awesome, i thought season 2 would be after i finished all 179 chapters, but i guess this is it folks

Disappointing.
The resolution of last volume's cliffhanger was a bit of a fizzle that resolves too quickly and easily with little repercussion.
Then the focus skitters around a bit through side characters, setting up endgame strategies with some, just checking in others, killing off one I don't really care about, and even going on an amusement park date.
By volume's end, we're ready for another fight, but now I'm not particularly vested in the outcome.
Still, I have the next volume on hand from the library, and there are only two more after that to wrap up the series, so I'm certainly not dropping it at this point.

Highlights:
- Jinwoo totally defeats Thomas Andre (technically speaking this would make him the strongest Hunter on the planet)
- We meet Greed, Jinwoo's new Shadow General, who is actually Dongsoo Hwang
- It is announced that Jinwoo's Dad is a prime suspect in a murder, but Jinwoo is able to escape uch of the controversy from it
- Chairman Go awakens as a vessel of a Ruler (who stand opposing the Monarchs) and is killed by the Frost Monarch.
- Jinwoo runs off the Frost Monarch, but Go dies anyways. Woo replaces him as head of the Hunter's Association
- Thomas Andre gives Jinwoo two daggers from the corpse of Kamish, while they share a lunch. They are extremely powerful!
- The largest gate ever opens over Seoul. Jinwoo prepares by training and going out to a carnival date with Hunter Cha, because they are "friends".
- The Frost, Fang, and Plague Monarchs all come to attack Jinwoo together.
Must continue... so good.... must see what happens!

Oh. My. God. The Monarchs War Arc was amazing. And that ending to chapter 166. Holy mother of armies. Not everyone preparing for a catastrophic horde of monsters to come out of the biggest gate ever seen and it turning out to be the Shadow Monarch’s Army. That’s just peak writing and the art is phenomenal. It hasn’t been confirmed but it’s so obvious that it’s Jinwoo’s army. I love it!

As the fight from volume 10 ends, new dangers happens. Presidenf Gunhee Go, the president of the Hunter’s Association of Korea, is not protected by this and stumbles upon his own fight. Will it be too late? ”You, at least, will die today.”
Oh my, the fighting scenes were just amazing, I’m obsessed. And the plot twists and character revelations and the surprises!!💥🌟 Last volume left until august when volume 13 comes out🌜

Schade, dass ich es wegen meines Sohnes auf Deutsch lesen muss, aber das Interesse bleibt hoch und die Illustrationen sind bemerkenswert.

Ah, I forgot the joys of pre-orders. Waking up and just finding a new book on the kindle waiting. I saw the paperback version in Waterstones at the weekend and was like whyyy don't I have it yet. Love half the cover, shame about the bad guy in the background. Jinwoo kicking ass and taking names. One shadow he did know the name for. Bye bye creepy older brother. The monarchs are finally making their move. Pretty sure I fan-girled at the puple portal in the sky. Gutted about the old guy, he was one of the best. Shit is getting real. Best bit was still the cute chibi Beru panel.

Ah, and thus ends the great ego battle begun last volume, settling once and for all the matter of who's the shiniest, strongest human around. Spoiler: It's exactly who you think.
As always, the fight scenes are a glorious ballet of punches, power, and over-the-top bravado. Angles and details leap from every page, making every clash feel like a blockbuster film.
I just don’t like that the rest of the cast continues to orbit Jinwoo like moons trapped in a particularly ego-heavy gravity field. Yes, he's the hero, the star, the chosen one, but would it kill someone else to take center stage occasionally, or at least develop beyond a cheerleader? Probably not.
Also, that date dropped out of nowhere like a badly aimed romantic meteorite. I would have liked a bit more buildup towards that relationship.
Still, now that Jinwoo is facing the other monarchs (queue boss music again), my anticipation’s rising faster than Beru’s protective instincts. And with all those hints fluttering about, how Jinwoo’s eventual confrontation with his dad unfolds should be deliciously dramatic. The anime adaptation better come soon; my popcorn supply is waiting.

This is actually insane. HWANG DONGSU IS DEAD FINALLY 🎉🎉. But so is the chairman😔😔😭😭😭. He was also a fragment of brilliant light aka borrowing the powers of the rulers as is thomas. LORE IS CRAZYYY. THAT GATE IS ACTUALLY WORRYING BUT ALSO CHA HAEIN AND SUNG JINWOO DATE. ADORABLE❤️❤️❤️. Those monarchs ganging up on my man😭😭😭 DONT DIE JINWOO😭😭.
