How I adored returning to the Pit Bulls Baseball series with Rounding Third. Who doesn’t love a best friends to lovers baseball romance with a fabulous cast of side characters which we have met in the previous two books. Liliana and Smithy’s story is my favourite so far in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed this one! I received a complementary copy from the author.

“Rounding Third” is the third book in the “Pit Bulls Baseball Series.” It is totally enjoyable to be returning to the Pit Bulls and the crew. Smithy and Liliana have been best friends since university and have “danced” around their feelings for each other since day one. Liliana is a Sports Writer for a local Pittsburgh newspaper and Smithy is a top baseball player with the Pit Bulls.
For ten years they have been in love with each other but unable to tell the other person and ironically, for the same reasons! What if the other person does not deal the same way? What if it ruins their friendship? Both are scared to open up to each other about how they feel towards other - admitting how much they love the other!

I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story. From page to page, chapter to chapter, from cover to cover - you will enjoy this story. At times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. You will fall in love with Travis and Liliana, hoping that everything with work out for them and they have a future together. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

Rounding Third is book three of the Put Bulls Baseball Series.
After reading the last book I was super excited to read this one. I really wanted to delve more into the friendship between Smithy and Liliana. This one did not disappoint. I was so happy I was able to read it and it gave me everything I wanted from it. This story kept me smiling and feeling all giddy as I read about these two finally going from friends to so much more.
Smithy is perfection! I loved everything about him. He was a great person to have in your corner. He was protective of those he loved and you see that in every moment he is there. I loved his relationship with his teammates and figuring how he could move forward with his feelings for Liliana. He was really book boyfriend worthy and I will stand on this hill and defend him!
I loved seeing both of their perspectives. You get to see how each of them is feeling about the other. And the back and forth between them kept me reading to see how much tension we were going to get between these two. But once we finally got that break, oh boy, was it amazing! I love these two together. They really compliment each other well. I was also glad to see that Smithy knew the true character of Liliana and would be there in her corner, defending her for everything he was worth.

Liliana is a reporter that seeks the truth. She will take her time to research and uncover answers. She also is kind and caring, looking out for others and has a charisma.
Smithy is a charmer and often seen as flirty. He loves to talk and be funny. Underneath it all is a loyal and dependable guy who might be afraid to share he feelings but will give 110%.
These two! This is the 3rd book in the PitBulls Baseball series featuring the beautiful and emotional baseball, best-friend's to lovers, small-town, sports, workplace romance between Smithy and Liliana. Smithy and Liliana have been best-friends ever since they met each other in college and even though they both really fell for each other when they met but were scared to admit it. However all of their friends know that they belong together and that they're in love with each other. When Liliana's best-friend sets her up to go out on a blind date is Smithy going to just standby and do nothing? I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this beautiful and emotional baseball, best-friend's to lovers,small-town, sports, workplace romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

I love this team!
Since the previous one I've been wanting to get to know the other players story and I'm so glad I coul enjoy Smithy's right now!
This whole team is like a big family and in my oppinion it's one of the best things about it. We not only love the main characters, but all the surrounding ones also, and their interaction in the story is so present that draws us in and makes us want to be there with them.
As I've made clear I've really liked Liliana and Smithy's story. P
They are best friends since forever and have feelings for one another from the begginjng. They don't act upon them with fear to lose each other. But they are the only ones who don't really see what's right in front of them.
When Liliana starts being closer to the team due to an assignment in her reporting job Smithy realises he has to do something. But how? And how will she react? Could he lose her?

Smithy and Sweets at times made my heart hurt, to feel the way they did about each other all that time, to not take that chance, to not believe there could be more was really sad, thank goodness those around them had decided enough was enough. I enjoyed the banter between them and their friends, and the epic of all apologies, although I am still in shock over that as I would never have expected that to come from that character! I wanted Lils to stand up for herself a bit more and use her voice and I felt for her when things got bad, I was so pleased that she had some people in her corner. I am looking forward to reading more from this series after the teasers in this installment, I cannot wait to see how it all plays out.

This was a total miss for me, and it's a shame because I love a good sports romance.
I knew jumping in mid-series I might be missing some context but that didn't bother me as much as how undeveloped the backstory is on our two MCs. We did not really get to witness a lot of the build up and angst of the friends to lovers trope - you pretty much get thrown in right at the transition without there being a big triggering event.
The entire plot came off as very contrived and immature - from the friends plotting to get him to make a move, to him trying to sabotage her blind date, her boss as a whole, and the third act conflict. It came off as so unrealistic, I was rolling my eyes.
Yes, it's a sweet, clean romance that doesn't demand anything of the reader so if that's your thing, knock yourself out.

I absolutely LOVED Rounding Third! I loved Smithy during Stealing First, and was excited for his story. I also loved the snippets we saw of Liliana in Stealing First, so I also enjoyed getting to know her better. 😊 Their friendship is just solid, and I would love to have a friend like they are to each other.
I love the crashed date scene (iykyk). This had me cringing and laughing out loud at the same time!
So many great moments in this book, and a truly phenomenal friends-to-lovers story. And let's just say that the gift baskets are EPIC!

This next intertwined stand alone for the series is about Smithy and Liliana. It is a friends to lovers trope with closed door romance vibes. There is a lot of fun banter and sexual tension throughout the book. Smithy and Liliana met in college, they both fell hard for each other but were afraid to admit it, so they went on being best friends while everyone else around them knew they were in love with each other. Liliana's best girl friend sets her up on a blind date, what will Smithy do? He crashes her date with another woman, will this push the together or push Liliana away?

A fantastic rollercoaster ride of emotions
I loved this book. It made me laugh, grown and cry, I had to stop reading it as I was out when it started, so I had to wait till I got home to open the book again. This series is brilliantly written and the baseball players are great, each character has their own back story, so you feel you know them. It makes the book seem like a view into someone's life. I cannot recommend this book and series enough. It is worth the time it takes to read each book in the series.

What a beautiful romance story of two people who were meant for one another, who secretly love one another, but it takes time to share those feelings. If you like sports romance, best friends to lovers, he fall fast, sweet love this is your book. The spicy scenes are fade to black or hinted at, but the romance to sweet and endearing. And who doesn’t love some Baseball Hotties 🥵… I recommend this book !

My last read of 2024. I wish I had the proper words to convey this book other than saying it feels like home. Smithy and Liliana’s friendship, together and with those around them, gives you the feeling that you’re part of the group. They’re all so close, it’s amazing.
Smithy and Liliana have danced around each other and stayed in the friend zone despite each wanting forever. When they finally give in, all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

This has humour, banter and deeper emotion. It’s sweet, cute and romantic, with warmth, chemistry and wonderful, engaging characters.
I’m looking forward to the next instalment in this great series.

The amount of smiling I did while reading this book… 🥰 This book! Smithy and Liliana are just the absolute sweetest! Best friends turned lovers with what I thought was a surprise twist! I was definitely tearing up towards the end and I’m so happy that they got their HEA and I can’t wait to read more about the Pit Bulls!

This is the third book in the Pit Bulls Baseball series, and the very first chapter had me totally swooning, anticipating how good the story would be. And I wasn't wrong! The couple has an amazing chemistry and their slow burn was awesome. If you love friends to lovers that everyone knows about but they are oblivious to the other one, this is your book! Absolutely delightful.

Rounding Third by Kristin MacQueen, book three of the Pit Bulls Baseball series, is an adorably sweet love story between a reporter and a baseball player. I thought Smithy and Lilliana’s story could not have been any cuter if it tried and I loved seeing all the characters from other books we know and love, it was icing on the cake! Can’t wait for the next in the series!

I love best friends to lovers romance and Rounding Third by Kristin MacQueen was an amazing story. Lilianna and Smithy are best friends in love only neither realizes the others feelings. The flirty banter between was too cute. And the chemistry between them was off the charts hot. Will definitely be reading the previous books.

This is so good! I loved all the characters. So beautifully written with fun dialogue and an entertaining storyline. The story is cute, romantic and will touch your heart reminding you that it's never too late for love. This book has all the feels! You will be drawn in from the first page and won't be able to put it down. An excellent feel good read.

I love sports themed books...especially baseball. The title caught my eye first and then, as always with Ms. MacQueen...the story sucked me in until the last word. Friends to lovers, baseball and small town romance...so good.

I'm a HUGE fan of kristin macqueens writing and interconnected series'. I'm usually one for all the steam but these books are clean as can be and I adore them. This book and these characters are absolutely amazing!! Be ready to fall in love!!.

I've read a lot of books written by Kristin MacQueen; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
