Kids can get tired of hearing their parents repeat the same phrases like “How many times have I told you____?” Vetter provides an alternative for parents in I Don’t Want to Hear It Again. Dad often uses this phrase. Grandpa uses “If you don’t____, you’ll be grandson number 4 but if you do ____ you’ll be grandson number 1.” The main character wants to be number 1 so he complies with the request much more willingly. Children will be able to relate to the text and illustrations in this cute picture book. K-12 Christian school libraries will want to consider adding I Don’t Want to Hear it Again and the other books in the I Don’t Want to series to their picture book section. I received a complimentary copy of I Don’t Want to Hear It Again. This is my honest review.
