Please note this is the third and final book in a trilogy, and this blurb contains spoilers for books 1 and 2. Start the series with Locked Up Liars, and Solitary Sinners before reading on!
When a judge declared Heath guilty and sentenced him to death row, everything we’d been fighting for went up in flames.
We have no excuses. No appeals. No freedom.
Now, there’s only one way out.
One way left for him to avoid a lethal injection in his arm.
USA Today Bestselling author Elle Thorpe is the author of over thirty romance titles, including Amazon top ten books, Start a War and Locked Up Liars. She is best known for her dark reverse harems, and sexy small town romances.
When she's not writing, she's probably out on her family's alpaca farm in rural Australia.
This was such a fantastic reverse harem/romantic suspense series! I loved all 4 of the main characters and even though the mystery plot was all over the place, I still was entertained. I couldn't put this series down and I'm so glad we're getting more of the Saint View world with Vincent's series next!
Fatal Felons is the third and final book in the Saint View Prison series by Elle Thorpe. WOW!! JUST WOW!!! I have done nothing today but read because I couldn’t go another minute without knowing how this all turned out. There were a couple of times while I read this series where I thought I had an idea as to who might have been the bad guy. But of course, this amazing author added in plenty of twists and turns and managed to shock me when all the truths came out.
Of course, this starts right out where the previous book left off. Things are bleak. Heath has been found guilty and sentenced to death row and everything is fast tracked. The three people that love him and believe him to be innocent, Mae, Rowe and Liam can’t think of any way to help him. So out of desperation, they come up with only one option. Run.
My poor Liam. Again, he is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. He feels like he let everyone down when he couldn’t prove Heath’s innocence. And at the same time, there are some shocking truths revealed that leave him reeling. He has no idea which way is up!
Rowe is also dealing with a threat to the safety of all the people he loves. So on top of everything else going on, he is worried for everyone’s safety.
But, through all of this going on at the same time, these four people have formed a family. All have been alone but together, they’ve formed a close knit family full of acceptance and love. And all they want to do now is to keep their family together. If they can stay alive that long!!
This is non stop from the beginning to the end. But it was also sweet. There is so much love and affection between these four. The ending was so sweet. There is also a downloadable extended epilogue that was adorable. I loved this series so much. I can’t believe how fast I went through these three books.
One of the side characters of this book will go on to be one of the main characters in the next series if you are reading them in order, Saint View Psychos. I can’t wait to start it.
I am so obsessed with this series. This was such a fantastic end and developed all of the relationship so well! I flew through this in a day and could not stop reading. This series overall was just so addicting and now I can't wait to read even more from Elle Thorpe!!
Ugh this book was so good! It had lots of romance with a side of a good mystery/thriller plot as well as developed characters. It was entertaining, had some nice spicy scenes and was just a well rounded why-choose romance.
I was worried it would feel rushed with all the subplots that were left from the last book but somehow it didn’t feel rushed at all. All the lose ends were tied up nicely on top of some nice side character moments sprinkled in. I really liked the balance between the mystery plot and the character development. When reading romance, I typically like at least a 60/40 with romance over plot as I usually don’t have patience for boring plots with OTT endings but I was just as excited reading the mystery plot as I was reading about the MCs relationship development. It didn’t take over the story but complemented it very nicely. I found the ending also wasn’t too OTT and didn’t feel like it was in there just for a shock factor.
The character plot aspect of the book is also so good! I liked every MC and really enjoyed seeing their relationships which each other develop individually. I loved reading Heath and Liam’s platonic dynamic develop into a different kind of family relationship. Somehow it all worked without feeling like they were missing something or someone was left out.
This series is a new favourite of mine. I literally don’t have any complaints about it! Also, the dark romance side of my brain wants book about Vincent! I’m sorry, I just I loved him.
This was a good ending to these characters and I enjoyed getting to see them all together. But I do think the drama went a little over the top for the last book in a trilogy. There was a lot of new drama thrown into the book and it made it seem slow at times.
“They brought that out in me. This woman who wanted more than just vanilla sex. I wanted whipped cream and chocolate sauce. I wanted every freaking topping. I wanted the lot.” 🖤 Review: Fatal Felons by Elle Thorpe. Saint View Prison Book 3 of a trilogy. 🖤 Even days after I read Fatal Felons I was still reeling, I still am. What a rollercoaster os emotions. I’ve cried, laugh, fell in love, gasped for air, wanted to rip Elle’s head off, scream a bunch of swear words at times and other times of pure happiness! But what you need the most while reading this book is a fan or an AC or a bucket of ice, damn this book is hot! My V wanted in the action, in the book, with all of them, together. Hot!
Things pick up right where it was left off in the previous book. And from chapter one on, it was full of twists and turns and so much shock. I had many theories, many, and still I was so surprised. Mae, Liam, Heath and Rowe all had a dark and complicated past, and it were all coming back now to bite them. My heart broke so many times, it was like the characters were my friends and I was ready to battle for them. My feelings were exploding, especially for Liam. He now might be my favorite from all Saint View (maybe together with Colt).
With all the judgments, secrets, lies and dangerous, what they all find in each other was a family. Every piece of the puzzle were finally fitting and it transformed in a beautiful painting. Even with great risk, they would do anything for each other. I loved how through actions they showed up for one another and proved that family and love had nothing to do with DNA.
Once again, I’m in love with this world Elle created. I’m obsessed. By the end of the book I had difficult time to let them all go. The whole trilogy is obviously a favorite of 2021 and I can’t wait to read more, especially from Vincent, my favorite psycho.
Disclaimer: in order to read Fatal Felons, you need to go through Locked Up Liars and Solitary Sinners first.
And loved these characters and their relationships. The plot was exciting and interesting. Though I did have suspicions pretty early, and I couldn’t help feeling impatient throughout this book for them to just figure it all out already.
Even with my impatience, I do think it all played out in perfect timing.
I would’ve liked more time to hash out the budding romance between Rowe and Heath more though. I feel like that part of it was sort of rushed and kind of thrown behind the scenes instead of fully immersed within the group dynamic. It made it seem more like a side thing than just more love being shared.
Regardless, I had a really good time reading about these characters and all of their hardships being overcome.
That ending was really satisfying, but I 1000% recommend signing up for the newsletter so you get the bonus epilogue. It made everything feel more complete in my mind.
I’m just glad I gave this a chance. I’ll be sure to check out other books by this author soon. I liked the drama tangled so deeply into this story. So good.
What irritated me the most about this is that, It was. NOT. A. REVERSE. HAREM. 🙄
It was Liam and Mae's story and the author tried to shove Heath and Rowe into it....and I am not okay with it. It was weird af.
Also, the plot twists were so favourable to the characters that it FELT constructed instead of coincidental, which took away the realness of the story. Every good thing just fell into their laps. The story somehow FELT made up.
Idk if that makes sense, but that was all this story was for me.
A conclusion of EPIC purportions, Fatal Felons will keep you guessing until the very end.
This book had several WTF moments. Unexpected twists around every corner. There were several times while I reading I was like "wait, what just happened" or "how did I not see this coming.
Fatal Felons is the 3rd book in the Saint View Prison Trilogy, and what a way to end this series. Starting off exactly where book 2 left us, there is no stopping the rollercoaster of emotions. I have laughed, cried and swooned. Mae, Liam, Heath & Rowe are extraordinary characters that you can not help but fall in love with. The twists, turns and secrets keeping coming, right to the end. This book ~ and entire series ~ is highly addictive, and I cannot recommend it enough. An absolute must read.
DNF @ 30%. I had a really hard time getting into this book. The end of the second book was completely unrealistic to me and then coming into the third book it just wasn’t working. I feel like the plot had really good potential and the characters were being developed well, but the plot is what got me and the events that happened. If a book is set in reality, it needs to follow the basics and this just was so far into left field that I couldn’t continue.
Wow that was something else, completely not what I was expecting but so glad I decided to jump into this world. Yes a trilogy and the first 2 cliffhangers, but soooo made up for it with the final book that had me completely put me through every single emotion. I cried in some parts and others were just TENSE. Super spicy, I mean spicccccy, but it blended with the story- loved!
Ok. Final book of the trilogy and I want more of this group! So many WTF moments! But I devoured them! And I will absolutely have spoilers in this review as I type more and more. So, to start with, it was well written overall - no major grammar errors or typos and the story flowed and the story made sense (some authors legit fail at this point alone).
I will say - if you want a different story to read and don't mind multiple love interests with some super hot scenes, then check out this series!
Though there was a lot of drama thrown in throughout the books, I enjoyed the ride - prison riot, murder, love square? It's not a triangle since there are 4 people... hmm. I don't know the proper term here. Prison escape, hiding out from the law and from Rowe's son's bio-father (I can't remember the kid's name offhand or crazy bio-dad and am not going back to look, but basically - Rowe was married before and his wife was killed by her crazy ex who was jealous/crazy she left him and was with Rowe. And no, Rowe didn't break them up - she left on her own. Anyway, the wife had a kid by the crazy ex but crazy ex was in jail and Rowe met her and fell in love and then stepped in as dad to the kid. Once wife was killed, he couldn't cope, so the kid went to live with grandma. Mae eventually brings kid back to Rowe's life and the kid becomes the joy they all needed in life).
Anyway, I digressed a bit as I tend to do.
So for all the drama and WTF moments, it was such a fun read that kept you wondering what was going on. They were all hiding out in a cabin far from people because Heath escaped prison and the crazy ex/bio-dad was getting out on parole. So they wanted to protect the kid. The kid played outside with the adults and eventually started talking about a "friend in the woods". Everyone was freaking out thinking it was bio-dad but they found no trace of anyone out in the woods so they chucked it up to his imagination.
Ups and downs continue and they're still trying to figure out who the true murderer is of Mae's sister. At one point she thought it was Vincent, but it wasn't... it was just his MO (slit neck). Liam, the attorney, throws out it was the sisters friends husband (Kevin, I think), but it didn't stick in court. Turns out, Liam was right! The wife and Mae's sister were having an affair! But neither wanted to come out of the closet, so to speak as the wife's background was very closed minded Christians and that was considered a sin so she'd be disowned. Ultimately, Kevin admitted to killing Mae's sister in hopes that it would bring his wife back to him and stop her "impure thoughts". So yay, Heath is freed! The court scene for his release was beautifully written. So much love of that scene too!
So, back to crazy bio-dad. He gets out on parole and "wants his kid". AKA wants to turn him to a psycho like himself and he tracks them down to the cabin and has his hands on the boy. Crazy bio-dad ended up fighting everyone off and holding a gun to them to get the kid and leave with him. But guess who saves the day?? Vincent! Seriously, I loved his character! He's highly protective of those he loves (who doesn't want that) even though his manner of resolving things is to kill people and act like nothing happened. So he kills bio-dad and warns them all that the cops are coming to arrest them - you know, for harboring a fugitive and escaping prison and all - though Vincent himself escaped prison too - the psych ward. haha.
But wait! There's more WTF?? Turns out, Vincent was the kid's "friend from the woods"! Whaaaat? Didn't see that coming! He periodically checked in on them all to see how they were and befriended the kid. Who doesn't love that too?? He is definitely unconventional and off his rocker, but ultimately not a threat to Mae and the guys. He even made an incognito appearance as a clown at the kid's birthday party to see his little buddy.
Add in a final surprise (but not really b/c even Colt's 4some had the same thing) of Mae getting pregnant (though she wasn't supposed to be able to because of a medical condition) by one of the guys and it was pretty easy to guess who she was pregnant by too since Rowe and Heath had their own love connection aside from Mae.
Colt and his own 4some came into the story as well - especially at the birthday party and such. But I don't have any interest in reading it right now b/c the love story sounds too similar to this one - one woman and three men and eventually a baby. Maybe some day I'll go back to read Colt's story, but I'm in no rush. This series provided the unique escape I was looking for at the time.

This is a review for all three books to the series. FUCKING WOW!
The twists and turns never stopped. Mae had gone through so much and I am so glad she found solace in Rowe, Liam and Heath. Every time you think you know what is happening or have a guess as to what's happening, Elle is like, "Nope, guess again! *cue evil laugh*". The sex was HOT and the plot was amazing. You get the ending you are craving and the HEA that you know is needed. The character build up is amazing, showing what having someone that cares about you can do to a person for the better.
This was my first time reading reverse harem books and I loved it! It was a lot more than I was expecting, because it was not just the sexy parts, it was the mystery behind the murder, the suspects and the wrongful conviction of . It was incredible!!! I enjoyed every part of it and I can’t wait to dive into Elle’s other books. 5 stars for sure!
OH MY GOD!! I am shocked. I am at a loss for words. I DEVOURED this story. To say I have been DYING to read Fatal Felons would be an understatement. Solitary Sinners left me on the edge of my seat and this picks up right where things left of. From page one this book was full of twists and turns right up until the final page. I had so many theories about where this was going to go, especially after book two. I spent the last 40% in shock and my jaw on the floor.
The lives of Mae, Liam, Heath and Rowe have been complicated since they all crossed paths. There are lives on the line, literally. The group of them has taken me on a roller coaster of emotions. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve wanted to throw my kindle, I’ve wanted to pull out all my hair and I’ve fallen in love with them. The love between them, the support, the understanding and the family they have built throughout the time they have known each other.
From the start of this series to the very end has been a long road full of never-ending twists and turns. It is addictive, captivating and I never want to leave Saint View. The Saint View Prison series is just something that you need to read for yourself and trust me, it is all worth it in the end.
If you’re looking for a spicy, suspenseful, RH romance this series is one to read!
i devoured this three book series in two days, so needless to say it definitely hooked me. i loved that this was a really solid mix of romantic suspense and reverse harem. i did rank this book lower than the other two of the series simply because i felt like there were too many plot lines going on. i really just wanted to know about the plot line with heath and mar and jayela, but i felt like it got a bit confusing and overwhelming with the author added in a separate storyline for rowe and liam. even with that, i still really enjoyed this book and the series as a whole. i really liked mae as a character and i liked rowe, liam, and heath because they all brought something different to the story. the chemistry between all four of this was 🤌🏻😌 and so was the spice. this book definitely had the long awaited RH action that i was waiting for and it did not disappoint. if you want a interesting, spicy, and relatively quick read, i definitely recommend this series!
“she found a release in music. i found one in her.”
“Love, peace, and the family we’d all dreamed of.”
4 ⭐️ Okay, I love this series. The prison series is definitely my favourite of Elle’s. I loved all the plot twists. All the turns, I didn’t pick them all, I picked a few. It was such an entertaining series I loved it.
I love the prison setting. I feel like I’m going into my prison era. I need to know all the prison series books, it’s just my thing at the moment.
The characters were great, it was so heartfelt at times I really enjoyed it.
Crying. This story was incredible, the way everything unfolded and was revealed was perfect. It left no questions, no worries, no plot holes and there was such important elements talked about such as homophobia and stereotypes around psychopathic tendencies, the meaning of fatherhood, trauma bonding and accepting so many parts of yourself you feel you should hide. I found no flaws with this book and I would recommend it to everyone.
Loved this series! There was plenty of action, suspense, and mystery to keep you turning the pages and keep you interested. I don't always like all the new in the harem, but Heath, Rowe, and Liam were all fantastic.
