Unexpected Entrapment

Rate this book
Alissia Roswell is far, far from home, and she won't be going back any time soon. After having been sucked through a wormhole, spat out half-dead in an alternate reality, and revived by Lamians-an ancient, magical people who trigger a profound metamorphosis in Alissia, giving her powers she never thought possible-Alissia becomes the subject of Alrik Durst's manipulation. Alrik has already usurped power in the city of Pallen, and with Alissia's arrival, he sees his opportunity to exploit the power of the Lamians to his bidding as well, driving the land ever closer to civil war. Held prisoner in the luxurious confines of the Eldership castle in Pallen, Alissia is forced to feign memory loss to protect herself and her friends while fending off the romantic overtures of Ian Durst-Alrik's all-too-charming son. Will the loves of her life, Grady Bolair and Luke Harrison, be able to help her escape? When she finally chooses between the two-Grady, the statesman, or Luke, the assassin-will it rip her alliances to shreds, casting uncertainty on her future?

Join Alissia as she learns to reign in her fiery personality, tries to accept her past, and struggles with the one thing that scares her most: vulnerability. Unexpected Entrapment: Alissia Roswell: Book Two will whisk you away to a world of mystical, menacing creatures and fantastic environs, where secrets abound and nothing is quite as it appears.

A lover of the outdoors--when Tianna Holley is not at her desk, she's usually paddle boarding, sailing, backpacking, gardening, or simply walking her dog. She recently reached a record of living in one spot for six years before the moving trucks arrived in Atlanta--whisking her and her family away to a quaint, small town on the Gulf Coast.

Although her writing tends to include violence and romance, she considers herself a PG-13 author. Her main characters usually have a complicated past, and love at first sight is never an option.

Tianna highly enjoys weaving intriguing tales to keep her readers in suspense. Packed with imagery, her books pull you into new worlds and environs. Be sure to leave a review, as she loves hearing from her readers!

Wow! I couldn't put this book down! Alissia is a dynamic female lead. In Unexpected Metamorphosis, we see her confused by a new world and uncertain of the changes she's experiencing. In Entrapment, Alissia has gained the confidence to defend herself, physically and emotionally, in a land where allies and enemies are hard to distinguish. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Loved this book!! The author did a great job with the "unexpected". I found myself going from one emotion to the next. Excitement, frustration, joy and ending with anxious anticipation of what comes next! Everything you want in a great book. I can't wait to see what adventures Alissia has next!

My favorite author. This series has a strong female lead, beautiful scenery, intriguing creatures, romance, and it's filled with suspense. The author doesn't give hints in her writing, and you never know what will happen next. I'm going to hate it when this series is over.

Story keeps getting better in this one. Really liking the relationship between Alissia and Luke. Found several parts funny, especially the telepathy.

Well, I have to say I have slightly mixed feelings about this book. The plot was strong, the pacing good, and the characters were all well fleshed out...
But what disturbed me a bit was how sensual the romantic relationship was. Alissia and the man she chose seemed all about the physical and not much else. Now, things didn't progress beyond a lot of passionate kissing and a bit of touching, along with a good bit of description of the guy's body, but it still felt inappropriate and there were several places where I got quite uncomfortable reading. I am also convinced she definitely made the wrong choice in men. But that's just my opinion

I do not recommend this book for any kids or younger teens for that alone, and I am not yet certain if I will be getting the next one or not.

So many things to love about Alissia Roswell! She is in her late 20's, she is smart, sarcastic, but not callus.
The first book in this series in free on Amazon! :D Of course...you just get pulled in and gladly hand over monies for the second book. You fall in love with the characters and world even more...and then you are like me...dieing with anticipation for the next book. (supposedly coming May 2015, still crossing my fingers)
Is it still worth it? Yes!

This is a great book, Tianna Holley wrote a wonderful story that is full of suspense, action, and romance. The writing is good, the world building is phenomenal, and the characters are interesting. In this book we find Alissia Roswell's situation has become more complicated and dangerous with Allisia's new abilities, strange happenings, and her love life. I definitely recommend this book!
