Robotic writing full of clichés and cheesy lines. Eye-roll worthy characters. Plot brought nothing new, it was just constant back and forth with plenty of sex in between. I think it is time for me to make a clean break with erotic romance.

I actually liked this one a lot at the beginning. I've never read about a bad boy prince before and was very intrigued but as soon as I got to know the characters more it went a little downhill for me.

Alexander is the royal bad boy and rebel of the British royal family. Of course he is one of these troubled heros.
He doesn't do romantic or long-term relationships. When he meets Clara he is constantly drawn to her and just wants her for an exclusive sex relationship, not more. Clare is already head over heels for Alexander after the 2nd meeting.

This story was a big back and forth. Both MCs always changed their minds.

Normally I wouldn't mind. But in this story it was just exhausting because it dragged through the whole book.

I was annoyed of Clara because she always was over-thinking things in her head. She had so many doubts which she always forgot after having sex with Alexander. Each time when they had a disagreement she always said something like "I should leave." or "We should stop seeing." or just started acting like a child.

And Alexander solved their disagreements most of the time with sex. But I'm not complaining here.
These were my favorite parts :D

The story actually wasn't that bad after all, even though some things were just over the top and not believable. I had often to remind me that all of the characters were fictional and not the real royal family :D because lets face it the royal family in this book was a bunch of

And before I forget: It ends in a mean cliffy

Although it's been a very long time since I heard this trilogy (this was my first audio book! Lol 🙈😱) but I forgot to upload my review

This is a modern fairy tale love story for adults – because, come on… we all want to fall in love with a prince! (Prince Harry, take me!) 😂❤ The difference is that THIS prince is also a domineering alpha with a dirty mouth, an exaggerated libido, a divine body and let's not forget… The freaking price of England! 👑💃

📚 "𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝖕𝖗𝖔𝖇𝖑𝖊𝖒 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍 𝖋𝖆𝖎𝖗𝖞𝖙𝖆𝖑𝖊𝖘 𝖎𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖕𝖊𝖔𝖕𝖑𝖊 𝖔𝖓𝖑𝖞 𝖗𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖒𝖇𝖊𝖗𝖊𝖉 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖑𝖔𝖛𝖊 𝖘𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖞 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖌𝖔𝖙 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖙𝖜𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖉 𝖇𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖙𝖘 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖊𝖛𝖎𝖑 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖈𝖍𝖊𝖘 𝖑𝖚𝖗𝖐𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖎𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖍𝖆𝖉𝖔𝖜𝖘. 𝕳𝖆𝖕𝖕𝖎𝖑𝖞 𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖆𝖋𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖜𝖊𝖗𝖊𝖓’𝖙 𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖎𝖑𝖞 𝖜𝖔𝖓, 𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖞 𝖜𝖊𝖗𝖊 𝖋𝖔𝖚𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖋𝖔𝖗." 📚

At Clara Bishop's graduation party, she finds herself alone on the balcony, hiding from the hustle and bustle. But she's not alone… In the shadows lurks a stranger . 💥
An entertaining conversation leads to an unexpected kiss between the two. But before Clara realizes what happened, the stranger is gone… She's sure she will never see him again, but to her surprise – a few days later she finds lots of paparazzi outside her door. 😱

Prince Alexander of Cambridge (or just 'X') is described as the "Sexiest man in the world"… and well, he's the Prince of England, so it has to be true!!! 😂
Alexander takes what he wants, whenever he wants… and although they come from very different worlds, he wants Clara. 🔥

📚 “𝕿𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊’𝖘 𝖔𝖓𝖑𝖞 𝖞𝖔𝖚. 𝕿𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊 𝖜𝖎𝖑𝖑 𝖔𝖓𝖑𝖞 𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖇𝖊 𝖞𝖔𝖚. 𝖄𝖔𝖚’𝖗𝖊 𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖊, 𝖇𝖚𝖙 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖌𝖊𝖙, 𝕴 𝖆𝖒 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖘—𝖆𝖘 𝖒𝖚𝖈𝖍 𝖆𝖘 𝕴 𝖈𝖆𝖓 𝖌𝖎𝖛𝖊 𝖔𝖋 𝖒𝖊, 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖈𝖆𝖓 𝖍𝖆𝖛𝖊 𝖔𝖋 𝖒𝖊.” 📚

And so, what begins as a physical connection becomes much more – a royal love story full of lust, betrayals, lies and above all, love. 💞
Well, nope. not really… Above all, SEX. Lots of sex!!! LOL 😂😂😂

Will their fragile relationship survive England and the crown…? 👑

📚 “𝕷𝖔𝖛𝖊 𝖎𝖘𝖓’𝖙 𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖋𝖊𝖈𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓. 𝕷𝖔𝖛𝖊 𝖎𝖘 𝖜𝖍𝖊𝖓 𝖙𝖜𝖔 𝖎𝖒𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖋𝖊𝖈𝖙 𝖕𝖊𝖔𝖕𝖑𝖊 𝖈𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖘𝖊 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖙𝖔 𝖌𝖎𝖛𝖊 𝖚𝖕 𝖔𝖓 𝖊𝖆𝖈𝖍 𝖔𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗.” 📚

I read A LOT and I no longer settle for books based on sex and clichés… so I won't lie, this book has ALL that. Maybe that's why it's a little embarrassed to admit, but damn it… I liked it!
It was kind of Guilty Pleasure, like secretly watching the Kardashians! LOL 😂🙈

And yet, I couldn't ignore the all the similarities to "50 shades" that made me roll my eyes, the clichés and (I can't believe I'm writing this, but…) there were too many sex scenes!!! 😬
I mean, these two couldn't hold for 2 minutes without… mating. 😂
And although they were insanely HOT, I felt that it overshadowed the story.

Still, I finished reading with a smile and a desire to book a flight to London! ✈
If you ask me, this series would suite best to beginners in the erotic genre. ❤

Command Me is the introduction to Geneva Lee’s patented Royals Saga trilogy. I’ve always loved reading books with badboys and royalty, but what really caught me was a prince and a commoner indulging in a tumultuous affair. It’s so much as a questionable as it is dangerous terrain to tread on.

So what’s this story all about?—Upon graduating from university, American gal, Clara travels to London to celebrate. While there, she meets, sexy, enigmatic Alexander and from there the two share an uncanny kiss and connection.

That is, until she finds out his true identity! After all-- Alexander, or "X," is the radical next air in line to the throne of England!

From there on out, Clara and X embark on a risky relationship where at any point could lead to oppositions and scandals. But that doesn’t stop them or cease Clara's desire to get to know this rough around the edges, perplexing man she's falling in love with.

Alexander wants to own her. Command her. And yet, he wants her hidden away as his dirty little secret.

#A phenomenal start filled with tension, mystery, and unexpected twists and turns from both Alexander and Clara!

Blurb:
When he kissed me, I was shocked. He was a stranger and still so familiar. It wasn't until I woke up to my picture splashed on the cover of tabloids that I realized I knew who he was.

Prince Alexander of Cambridge.

Royal bad boy.

Exiled heir to the throne.

He isn't Prince Charming. He's controlling. He's demanding. He's dangerous. And I can't say no to him.

We both have secrets—secrets that could tear us apart or drive us closer together—and as the paparazzi exposes each one, I have to decide just how far I'm willing to go for King and Country.

3.5 “Yes, please” Stars

I was genuinely impressed with this book. It was free on Amazon, I one-clicked it, and the next thing I know; I was reading it. I had absolutely no expectations, I thought it was going to be one of those books you start reading and then stop reading after a couple of chapters because you realize it’s not for you. I was wrong. So very wrong. Turns out, with only a few chapters, I was completely sucked in. I wanted more, I wanted to know what would happen next, and I couldn’t read fast enough.

The twists and the turns were amazing, the story line was really interesting, and the chemistry between the two protagonists was tangible. I liked how it started, I liked how it was developed, and I liked how it ended. I literally liked this book in its whole. Completely. If you are looking for a good Erotic Romance novel, I would absolutely recommend this one. It has everything a girl wants. With the added bonus; a scorching hot alpha male. If you love a good possessive, protective, and domineering alpha male; you’ll love this book. And if I told you the possessive, protective and domineering alpha male also happened to be a Prince, future King of Britain. Now, I think I got your attention, didn’t I? Well, that certainly got mine. I personally think the royal aspect of this book was actually quite well executed. There was drama, lies, and more drama. Lots of drama. If you don’t normally like drama, don’t read this book.

"You are mine, Clara," He snarled, his grip tightening over my throat. "I claim you. Do you understand?"

"Spread your legs, Poppet."

One thing that, in my opinion, gave this book a plus, were the BDSM aspects of it. Not hard-core BDSM, but definitely some light BDSM showing through. I loved that. The sex was hot, the dirty words were thrown right, left and center, and I sure want myself one Alexander now. That man. Wow. I thought I understood him, and then as we got closer and closer to the end of the book I started realizing that no, I actually didn’t understand him. At all. I’m confused as hell, I have a gazillion questions that are waiting to be answered and I need those answers now. Which is fantastic because that’s exactly what Clara, the female protagonist, was going through as well.

"I'll never take you further than you can handle, but I will take you to the edge. I will give you more pleasure than you ever thought possible."

The side-characters were also quite well executed. I know some of them are getting their own story later on in the series, and I’m quite excited about that, to be honest. I’m curious, I want to know what happens to them. As for the official Side-B of the book, Pepper, I hate her. With everything I have. But that’s what the author wanted, and she created one heck of a disgusting Side-B. I love it.

If you love authors such as Jodi Ellen Malpas, Laurelin Paige, Sylvia Day, E.L. James and Gail McHugh, I would say you’ll love Geneva Lee. She’s an author I didn’t know before reading this book, but I couldn’t be happier I discovered her because I want more. More of her words. Now, please.

"If you run, Clara. I will follow you."

If I could say one last thing it would be; give it a try. At least, give it a try. It might be your next favorite book, who knows?

I was asking myself earlier why I keep reading books like this when it would usually just frustrate the hell out of me. You know the kind where there's a damaged guy with so many secrets, and then he meets a girl who's obviously going to be the game changer, but he acts like a douche, and tries to warn and scare her off and protect her from himself. Oh, and don't forget the miserable family drama too. Yes, that kind of story!

Sadly, I still have no idea why I enjoy torturing myself this way. But surprisingly, I liked this one a lot! Well, I did some skimming, but only because I was so impatient to get to the good parts.

I mean, the first half of the book had just about the typical dialogue one would expect in such a storyline—"You're mine. I want you to submit. I want to hurt you. But I'm dangerous. Stay away from me. I'm going to break you. I have to protect you, even from me" blah blah blah. So it wasn't like I was going to miss the gist of it.

What I'm truly thankful for and what made this more than tolerable for me was the heroine. She was not a doormat! Amazing! Sure, there were a few tears, which was an understandable reaction to some events that happened, but she never acted silly nor over the top emotional. She even got me cheering for her in the end. YOU GO GIRL! :-)

Please November 11, come sooner!

So tired of heroines unable to say no because the hero is so damn hot, have some dignity! You'd think these girls have never seen a decent looking guy EVER. She gave it up at 20+% or something, I mean, really?! The Royal Douchebag put her on the cover of every magazine and the media is chasing her but all she cares about is what kind of underwear she's going to wear the day after she meets him and have sex? Oh and of course it's her roommate's cause she's the cotton panties kinda girl. Give me a freaking break.

I really liked this but there was something that held me from giving those two last stars. Maybe it was the fact that heroine let the villain get to her so easily or the fact that heroine "fell in love" so abruptly with the hero.

But this was definitely a sexy read and the hot sex scenes made up for the other mediocre stuff...

I will actually be starting the next book right away.

Have you ever had that feeling reading a book where you are just dying with anticipation? So excited to read the next word that you actually can feel yourself tingling with excitement? Even as I was reading this book - I couldn’t wait to read it, if that makes sense. I was so immersed in the story that I couldn’t get enough, the pages weren’t turning fast enough - if you’ve ever read a book that affected you like that, you’ll know what I’m saying - this is THAT book. Even as I sit writing this review, I can’t get it off my mind, I want to pick it up and dive right back in. So please excuse me if I just stop here and do exactly that! Just kidding ;) Set in modern day England, this is a book that is as unique in its plot as it is powerful, as sexy as it is dark, and as addicting as it is infuriating.

Clara Bishop is a young woman who has just graduated Oxford - she has the world at her fingertips, the degree she worked so hard for, a coveted new position at the job of her dreams and a trust fund to ensure financial stability, not that she uses it. She is a girl that prides herself on accomplishing things on her own, not relying on money from her parents. A bit of a loner, she has avoided the social scene all through University - she surrounds herself with her best friend Belle, a spitfire of a girl who is the polar opposite of Clara. The perfect best friend, she knows exactly what to do pull Clara out of her shell. At the party to celebrate her graduation with her classmates, she finds herself alone on the terrace - or so she thinks...in the shadows lurks a stranger. A tall, dark, captivating stranger. An amusing banter between them leads to an unexpected but mouth-watering, soul-changing kiss that knocks Clara off her axis. Her world spinning, he disappears as fast as he appeared. Thinking it was nothing more than a silly encounter - she dismisses it. But as hard as she tries, she can’t force the lingering memories of his kiss from her mind. Imagine her surprise days later when the paparazzi are at her door…

Prince Alexander of Cambridge. Titled, entitled, and easily the sexiest man alive. He is a man that grew up in a life of privilege - a man who takes what he wants no matter the consequences. And after a few minutes alone on a terrace with a girl that didn’t even recognize him, a girl that is as refreshing as she is beautiful - its clear to him. He wants Clara Bishop. Here starts a Royal story of intrigue, lust, betrayal, deception and above all else, love. Clara and Alexander both have demons at their door, secrets from their past that threaten to not only destroy them - but those around them. With enemies at every turn, the press exposing stories and lies - their relationship is clouded in doubt and uncertainty. Alexander seeks to control her, to dominate her and make her his in every possible way. He is a consuming lover, the kind of man that every woman secretly lusts after. The kind of man that has panties jumping into his hand whenever he enters a room. These two do not have an easy relationship, what begins as just a purely physical thing - quickly changes to much, much more.

Clara and Alexander are a perfect match. She is there for him in ways no one ever has been - she strips away his walls one by one and shows him the true meaning of love. Despite the disdain and disapproval surrounding them, they manage to awaken something that they both are craving - acceptance.

But of course...this is a story about a Royal Prince - the one next in line to be King no less. As obligations and politics begin to weigh heavily on Alexander’s shoulders - what will be the fate of these two? Will their fragile relationship survive the wishes of the current King of England?

This is a book that will not only hook you, it will possess you. It will strip away your layers and the outcome will leave you shattered. I couldn’t put it down. It was an unforgettable read for me and I’m anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.

If you’re looking for a story that will consume you, a book that has a hot, bad ass, alpha prince and a fierce, one of a kind heroine - than this is definitely one I’d recommend for you. Be sure you have a few hours free time when you pick up Command Me, as once a Prince has you in his grasp - he won’t let you go.

Geliebten? Freundin? Clara betrifft...
*grins*

DNF @ 44%. I finally opened my eyes and realized I was forcing myself to continue reading this. I don’t even know why.

The MMC straight up tells the FMC that he doesn’t do romance but that he wants to bang her for an unlimited amount of time because he wants to basically control her. The FMC basically shrugs and says okay. *boink* straight to horny jail for the FMC!

I didn’t like either character so not going to force myself to read about them.

Inhalt:

okay,so I wasn't going to write a review on this book, but then I thought "how can I not". It was that bad.  So here comes another ranting review.

Command Me follows two leading characters. Clara and Alexander.... And I'm just gonna jump Right in on them. Clara is a way stronger written character than Alex (after reading this full review I don't really know how much that's going to say about her character). She's sassy and kind of funny, but honestly that's about it. She has a job doing..? Well I couldn't tell you! Something with social media I think?!. She seriously attends her job like once. I know she comes from money and all but she's constantly trying to assert herself as this strong independent lady, but really I have no clue how she's paying for crap. Also we were never really told what she looks like. Lee kind of makes it out to be that she's curvy, but then again I'm not sure. Oh, I do know she has auburn hair, so there's at.

On to Alexander though. The dashing, mysterious prince... Just wait a
second, I know what you're thinking "did she just say prince?".
.. You bet your sweet buns I did. Yeah Alex aka X is THE prince. Okay, yeah maybe I wouldn't consider him THE prince because it never seems like he's ever really working either. He never seems to be doing any princely things. We do however get a great description of him. He's tall, pale,
jet black bed head, with a chiseled jawline... (Wait, what was that noise??! Uh yeah the sound of a thousand panties dropping) Maybe it's just me but I love any man with jet black tousled hair and a jawline for days. Swoon. But what he has in the looks department he is lacking in personality. Besides that sexy description I couldn't tell you anything about him. He brought nothing character wise to the table. Sigh. All looks and no brain, what's a girl to do.  He does share the cutest little fox hunting story so that did give him some extra points.

As far as the story line went it was all over the place. It literally took place all over the place. I felt like the story started off plot wise stronger at the start than it did towards the middle and end. At the start we have this super lusty kind of forbidden romance that's hitting all the newsstands, then in the middle we get this wtf am I reading romance, and then at the end you feel like you got what you paid for romance. (Just to let Yall know I didn't pay for this, it was a free kindle read... So yeah).

When the romance started it was like....

Then when they get to the estate and they get all "steamy" there things get a little odd and are more like....

Seriously, it gets weird.
The plot somehow manages to both flow and anti flow at the same time... Anti flow mmmm I don't think that's a thing but whatever....

Then we have your thrown in there back characters like her sister whose name I can't remember but I know it was dumb. Who I also couldn't stand.
Then there's Edward who was to die for. I want to eat soup, go shopping, and watch trashy Telly with him all day. Then there's this other girl
who also had a dumb forgettable name, something like Pippa or papa, or
salsa, idk either way she was soooo terrible. Her character made me want to eat my own vomit. Just to let yall know why that is it's because Ya girl Clara had like this back story about having an eating disorder that somehow leaked to the press and now salsa keeps bringing it up every two pages. And I get Alex's fams all like "blah you can't date her she's not British blah" and salsa tries to use that too her advantage, but having this girl bring up Clara's "eating problem" over and over again was just annoying!!!!
Overall for the most part the plot is solid---ish

All that being said you're probably thinking I hated this book.  YOU'RE WRONG! I actually really liked it. No clue why! Stayed up late reading it and loved the way it ended! At one point towards the end I even found myself saying "oh no you didn't" like people used to in 2005 when it still wasn't cool. You're not going to be surprised by the ending or anything. It's kind of given that since it's book one that it'll end on some kind of cliffhanger. It does get real intense towards the end though.

Really have no clue why I liked it so much, just found it rather entertaining,
and isn't that what it's really all about?! Ha, who knows.

This book was such a refreshing surprise. As a reader that's beyond intrigued with the royal family, I loved loved loved reading a story about the fictional version. Command Me was a breath a fresh air, an angsty romance filled with drama and heat and tension. I'm not a reader of historical fiction, but a modern day romance with princes and kings and royal secrets was such a treat for me to get my hands on. And I really enjoyed every bit of it. The writing style of Geneva Lee pulled me in from the first page and never let me go.

Alexander's character was written perfectly, in my opinion. While I noticed several times where he seemed to contradict himself, I attributed that to how confused and lost and broken he is, rather than seeing it as a character inconsistency. He's not just heir to the throne, he's a man severely damaged by his past. He's struggling to fulfill his responsibilities to his family and to his country, while fighting to keep Clara close, and simultaneously pushing her away. I'm not a fan of weak female characters, so I was a huge fan of Clara. She definitely had some weak moments, succumbing to her attraction to the Prince instead of standing up for herself, but for the most part she did exactly what I would have liked to see her do and say. She had backbone and fire, and I loved that about her. She was also pretty witty and the dynamic between her and her best friend, Belle, was a perfect balance. Clara is just a commoner, but her family history is complex. She's not the cliché American girl who finds herself on the Prince's radar. She's from America, but she's a British citizen who comes from a reputable family and has a trust fund that's nothing to turn your nose up at. But she's still not a royal, she still doesn't fit the bill of what is expected of Alexander. So with that, comes some heavy drama between Clara and the royal family, and also between Clara and Pepper, the royal bitch who wants the Prince and the prestige that comes with him. But all of that comes second to the tumultuous relationship both growing and floundering between Clara and Alexander. Royal responsibility and a snobby monarchy aside, Alexander and Clara are like magnets... attracting and repelling, pushing and pulling. Their sexual chemistry is off the chart, but they're rarely on the same page emotionally. Throw some paparazzi and tabloid fodder into the mix, and you have the perfect stage for a turbulent romance, royal style!

Command Me is such an emotional, angsty ride. These characters are so well-developed and fresh; their story is loaded with sexual tension and heartbreak, romance and pain. This book only got better and better as it went. I love slow build, so I didn't mind how slow going the story felt at first. But it picked up speed as it went and by the end I was upside down on a high speed roller coaster that I never wanted to get off. This book is unlike anything I've read, and I can't wait for the next installment in this royal saga.

Thank you to the author for this ARC exchanged for an honest review.

I'm a fan of these kinds of book. Reading this book was like watching a cheesy Nicholas Sparks movie only with LOTS OF SEX! A really simple love story with interesting characters and an interesting location and interesting background stories.
It's also totally a Fifty Shades fan fic - only with Royals....but as I said before, I love those stories.... I bet there's a name for them - I can only think of cheap or simple or bad? But I don't mean that in a bad way, because I really enjoyed reading it - I finished it in one day and now I'm starting with book #2 ☺

I had so many expectations for this book, and most of them were left unfulfilled. The erotica was not good, it was slightly too strong sometimes. I mean that Prince Alexander was too focused on the physical and therefore the intimate scenes were a bit too unrealistic. In addition, i did not get a connection with either Clara or Alexander, they were okay characters but still a little disappoiting. Also the constant intimacy destroyed the story a little, the rest was just extra content put together to decorate the erotic scenes.
Disappointed but not "DNF" material yet, meaning i am going to try the second book sometime in the future!

Oh My Gawwwd I don't know what's wrong with me, I feel like I'm reading the same book over and over again sometimes. This started out good for me and then it went to shit. I wanted to love it but it was way to similar to other series out there, I was getting dizzy from all of my eye rolling. Off to find another read and hope it's better then the last couple I've read.

2.5 Stars:)
