Sometimes the wrong number is the exact one you need.I never answer my phone, especially not when the caller’s number is “private.” Today is no exception, only unlike normal, they leave me a message and for the first time, I’m kicking myself for not answering. The man on the other end is choking up, telling me there’s been a terrible accident and his son is in surgery, begging the person they thought they reached to come to the hospital waiting room so he isn’t alone.
If I could call the man and tell him about the wrong number, I’d do it in a heartbeat, but I can’t. So I do the only thing I can think of; I rush to the hospital. Only when I walk into the emergency department waiting room, my dragon doesn’t want me to find the mystery man. He scents our mate and that becomes his only mission in life.
My beast discovers we’re both there for the same man. The one who left me the voice mail is the father of the injured child, and there’s no one by his side.

Awww...this one really pulled on my heartstrings as a parent. Feeling all the emotions that Damon went through with his son...then have his knight and shining armor who happens to be a dragon show up in his time of need due to a wrong number. So sweet...so romantic. I absolutely loved and enjoyed reading this romance. All the sweetness...the fun...the births...the awakenings...Lovely...just lovely.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This was a lovely short read. The blurb tells us how they met, it was well written, the story further reveals how they handled their connection and the fact that Damon is Nicholas’ mate and… that Nicholas is a dragon. Thank goodness Damon’s little son George recovered well. You have to know he is a special one. We can watch Nicholas and Damon's blooming relationship and George's role with them. There’s also a surprise!
All together an angst-free, low-heat, slightly developed, entertaining, feeling-good read. A story I enjoyed reading.
This is book two of the Dial M For Mates series and the main characters are Nicholas, an alpha dragon shifter and owner of a small IT firm doing PR and social media campaigns for sustainable firms, and single omega dad Damon, who works in a library and who calls Nicolas by mistake when trying to call his brother. Damon tried calling a few times, then left him a voice message, asking if he could get to the hospital, as his son George had had a bad accident, and he didn’t want to be alone! Nicholas has no number to call back as it came through as a private number and he wanted to go be with Damon and since he left the location, he drove there as quickly as he could, to let Damon know he had rung the wrong number, but also so he wouldn’t be alone until his friend could get there. As soon as they get to the hospital, his dragon tells him their mate is there and wants to find him straight away, but Nicholas needs to find Damon first. Nicholas had never really believed in all that fated mate stuff and is surprised when his dragon tells him that Damon is their mate!
Nicholas gets a few more surprises when George calls him a dragon and Damon says he tells him their neighbourhood is full of animals, which to Nicholas are obviously shifters, but he can’t sense that Damon is anything but human. Maybe his other father was a shifter, or they had it in their ancestors somewhere. George loves stories about dragons and makes up stories about all these animals changing from human to animal. Damon can’t forget Nicholas and how he turned up just to make sure he wasn’t alone as he waited to see if his son would be okay. He eventually gives him a call and they meet for lunch. Their relationship soon heats up, as neither can ignore the chemistry between them. Damon worries that he only has feelings for Nicholas because he was suffering from trauma at the time and he was there for him when he needed someone. The only way Nicholas can prove how serious his feelings are towards Damon, is to show him his dragon form and that his dragon had known he was his mate from the very beginning! He will leave it to Damon to decide if he wants the mate bond to be completed, in the meantime, they will go as slowly as he needs them to.
Damon and George spend time at his place after school and then weekends as well, and George wants to meet his dragon! George wonders what he should call Nicholas and wants to know if they will marry. For George, they will marry, something Nicholas never expected would happen to him, as shifters normally just mated. Being with a human partner means so many different things are expected in society and he will do anything Damon or George want of him. The romance heats up and there are shifter babies to be had, as well as a huge surprise about George at the end! Another fun story of strangers who are fated mates and the tale of how they meet and their HEA ending. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Nicholas had a storage container converted into his office behind his home for his business an IT company that did PR stuff on some social media for his clients. He kept his phone on mute preferred he be contacted by text or email didn’t really like talking on the phone so before going flying he put the phone under a cushion on the couch. Later when trying to read a book the phone kept buzzing so he decided to see who was trying to get ahold of him and listened to the voice message and his dragon told him to go to the hospital. Damon used a phone in the hospital thinking he called his brother Sandy asking him to come to the hospital because George was in surgery after falling on some rebar but dialed the number wrong. The nurses tried to stop Nicholas from getting to Damon but he finally found him. He helped Damon keep calm during surgery, after George got out they went on a date the morning after the date Nicholas showed Damon his dragon which didn’t scare Damon. George could see the supernatural in a person had told his father but wasn’t believed until then. George talked them into getting married before moving in together and he got a storage unit for a studio he loved to paint. George told then he was a a unicorn but they weren’t sure but when 10 he shifted and he loved his sisters. Good book.

Wrong Number, Right Dragon is the second book in the Dial M For Mates series but the 4th Wrong Number, Right book. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the whole series. This is a sweet low angst quick read. The story is about Damon an omega human single father who calls the wrong number when his son George is hurt and gets alpha dragon shifter Nicholas instead. I love these stories because they are relaxing and fun. This one had a bit more because of why the guys met. I really enjoy the way Colbie and Lorelei write the characters. I loved the twists in this book. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
Wrong Number, Right Dragon is the second book in the ‘Dial M for Mates’ series. It stars Nicholas, an Alpha Dragon shifter, Damon, a human omega, and George, Damon’s son. This is told in first person through Nicholas and Damon’s pov.
The blurb is from Nicholas’ pov even though it’s not mentioned. The plot is the same as the first book. The alpha receives a phone call asking for help from an omega that the Alpha doesn’t know. In this case, Nicholas the Alpha, tracks down Damon at the hospital and Nicholas offers what help he can to Damon.
The first seventy-five percent of the plot was interesting as Damon and Nicholas got to know each other, and as we find out how George figured into the story. I liked that even though George was a child, he wasn’t annoying and didn’t act like a mini grown-up. Unfortunately, at about the seventy-five percent mark, Damon gets pregnant and the story shifts to lots of talk about pregnancy and going out to buy supplies. It was like listening to pregnant women in a pregnancy support group, and I’m not reading M/M for that, even if it’s mpreg, there’s more to mpreg stories than buying clothes. It made the last quarter of the book bland. The nesting and George’s interest in the eggs was different. There are large time jumps between some scenes and the epilogue spans years.
As usual, the authors’ had far too much monologue in this book. There’d be a few lines of dialogue or action, then lots of internal monologue from whoever’s pov we were in. Damon and Nicholas’ voices were also hard to distinguish apart. The only one who sounded different was George.
There wasn’t anything unique about Damon or Nicholas’ personalities. George stood out because he was a fun kid. George’s father who deserted Damon is mentioned in this book, and I’m wondering if the next book is about George’s father because they are the same kind of shifter. Damon had no problem finding out and accepting that shifters existed, which is a common theme in these authors books. There isn’t any conflict.
Wrong Number, Right Dragon was okay. I liked it slightly more than the first book probably because of George. Other than that, the writing has the same issues as other books written by this author team. There is no distinct difference between character voices, there is far too much monologue making the writing more telling than showing, and there isn’t any conflict when humans discover their mate is a shifter. I give this book, 3 Stars because it’s an easy and fast read.

So, yet another disappointment. I managed like 18% and it just...annoyed me. I mean....you're a dragon, with supposedly "supercharged" hearing compared to humans, and yet your limit is a door? Seriously? How is that not insanely ridiculous? And it starts with the guy having a video call with someone, who just happens to figure out the guy is a shifter and without having met the guy or been close friends or anything of the sorts, he just tells him he looks the same way shifters look when they want to shift. You just blurt that without because of a look? One that is describe as "constipated". As if humans don't get constipated and make that look. Seriously? And how on earth does he know the kid is Damon's son. It was not mentioned in the voicemail. It could've been a brother, a nephew, even Sandy's kid. He just assumed? As if he wouldn't have been distraught by a family member being hurt. Only if it was his son. I'm not even gonna mention his conversations with his dragon, which were ridiculous too. And a few other ridiculous details, but those were some of the biggest one. Why do these authors keep bothering to publish books, if they don't bother caring about the books are written? Or because they get published, they just assume they're good enough? Are they not reading them themselves when they're finished, to see if they're good or not? Is there no one reading them before publishing them, or is it just someone who doesn't bother paying much attention to details? What is happening to these authors???? They were good, and it's obvious they're still good. But it's like they just don't care anymore. And it kinda pisses me off. Good authors are hard to find. Good stories are even harder to find. They could be writing awesome stories. So why did they STOP caring?????

'I leaned into his side, my head on his shoulder. This stranger, this angel, I could see him flying here, making sure the single father who accidentally called him was okay.'
I loved the first three books in this series and was excited to read this one- even more so because of the emotion alone in the premise of this story! I loved both Nicholas and Damon. Nicholas is the kind of person who hated talking on the phone and doesn't answer private numbers. But when he hears a message from a scared and heartbroken man crying about his son having surgery at the hospital and he was all alone, I loved that he dropped everything and rushed over to help him. Even when his dragon scented their mate at the hospital:
'Our mate is here. I scent him. What? No, we’re here for Damon. Mate or no mate, we had a duty to ease Damon’s pain. A mate can wait.'
His compassion and empathy really touched me. I'm so used to shifters dropping everything the moment they scent their fated mate, but Nicholas could hear Damon's pain over that message and put him first.
Single father Damon was so scared his son might not make it after accidentally being impaled by rebar. With his parents away on vacation and his brother not answering on the phone, he sat all alone until a stranger rushed in who had gotten the message intended for Sandy.
I liked the way their relationship happened. Nicholas had to keep his dragon at bay considering the situation at the hospital. But when they met later, the chemistry was definitely there. But Damon didn't know about shifters. Little George was adorable and somehow could sense the animals inside the people. This story was sweet and had me hooked. 5 stars.
I enjoyed this book and it was my favourite of the series so far. I also thought that it was another good addition to the Dial M for Mates Series. This is a book about fated mates so their relationship moves at warp speed. Nicholas, a dragon shifter receives a call from a private number. He then shifts and goes flying but when he gets back there’s more missed calls from a private number, and there’s a voice message for Sandy telling him that his son George had an accident and he’s in surgery flighting for his life and could Sandy please come down and sit with him. Nicholas can’t ring back since it’s a private number but something is compelling him to go to the hospital and be with the man, since Sandy won’t be coming. Damon is a single father to a five year old son George, who loves climbing and was at a friends house and there was a construction site next door so George and his friends decided to climb the fence. George slips over the top of the fence and lands on a piece of rebar. Damon believes that he’s called his brother Sandy to come sit with him, since their parents are currently in France and he doesn’t want to call them back until he knows more.
Damon is sitting in a hospital waiting room by himself, just waiting for the doctor to give him updates. Well he was until a man walks into the room and tells him that Damon had rung him by accident and that he couldn’t not show up and tell him in person what happened. He’d also happily sit with him and go get him some food and coffee if that would help. Damon is so blown away that a complete stranger would do that. I’m glad that George was alright and I found it really interesting that he could see peoples inner animals, like Nicholas’s dragon. Damon and Nicholas instantly hit it off. I also liked that Damon addressed the possibility of their whirl wind romance could be due to trauma bonding which Nicholas had to show him his other side so he could understand that it’s actually their bond that’s pushed them together. I loved all the bonding family moments, especially including George in every aspect of the nesting process and him being able to bond with his siblings while they were getting ready to hatch. I’ve already pre-ordered the next book, Wrong Number, Right Unicorn which I’m looking forward to reading it when it’s released in October. I’d recommend this book, series and authors to others.
This was such a sweet romance, I loved it! A dragon with the biggest heart, a devoted human father and his sweet son who could see shifters’ hidden animal inside them…what’s not to love?
When Nicholas received a call from an unknown number, pleading with him to come to the hospital because ‘George’ had been seriously injured, it was obvious that it was the result of a wrong number but from the panic in the caller’s voice he felt he had to be there so he wouldn’t be alone. As soon as he walked into the hospital, his dragon went wild, scenting his mate and immediately wanted to find them but, sweetheart that Nicholas was, he told his dragon that he had to wait, that Damon came first then they’d find their mate afterwards. It was so sweet!!
Damon was a single parent and he desperately needed his brother to come to the hospital to sit with him while he waited for news from his son’s doctors. When a stranger showed up instead and he realized he’d called the wrong number, it felt right, like the man, Nicholas, belonged there with him. A wrong number might’ve brought them together but it was soon obvious to all concerned that they belonged to each other.
There was zero angst here, no drama, no conflict, nothing to really be able to point to as why it such a good book but it was, it was just that it was so sweet that made it an awesome read. If you like sweet alpha shifters, grab this one, you’ll love it! 4.5 stars!!.

This is book 2 in the Dial M for Mates series. It may be enjoyed as a standalone. This is the story of Nicholas and Damon. Nicholas is an alpha dragon shifter. He prefers to have contact through emails so he doesn't answer his phone after work hours. After the third call and one voicemail he decides to listen to the voicemail. It is a decision that will change his life. Damon is a single dad whose son is seriously hurt and in surgery. Wanting support from his family, he calls his brother and leaves a heartbreaking message. He doesn't want to be alone while he waits to hear the outcome of his son's surgery. The problem is he left his phone in his car so he borrowed one from a nurse. In his panic and fear, he misdials the number. Once Nicholas hears the voicemail, he hurriedly heads out to try and help the single dad. Even when his dragon wants to track down the mate that he has scented, Nicholas stays focused on his objective. He wants to support and comfort the terrified dad. Once the two meet in the waiting room, his dragon is happy. The single dad and his mate are the same person. This is their story. Though it is not their story alone. George, Damon's son, places a big part in this book. I really enjoyed it. The book is very well written and easy to read. You will start out worried when you read it but you will end up happy by the end.

Part of the Dial M For Mates series each can be read as standalone with shifters and one who dials the wrong number. Damon a single father of a very rambunctious little boy who loves to climb hanging with his friends being the curious boys decides to climb over the construction fence where he gets hurt being rushed to the hospital and his father mistakenly calls the wrong number thinking it is his brother. Nicholas a dragon shifter lives out in the middle of nowhere, with a lot of space for his dragon to fly, walk around freely overall enjoying his time, and when a call comes in dramatic about being their all alone while he waits on his baby boy who is in surgery feeling compelled to go and sit with the single dad. Arriving at the hospital his dragon recognizes Damon as his mate. Sitting with him was his pleasure and he was just as worried about their boy as his dad. But his son always has a knack for saying what’s on his mind typical little boy the moment of meeting Nicholas, he calls him a dragon from there it is all uphill for these two they are super cute especially how they accept each other without hesitation but will their sons father come back, will Damon accept his dragon, and where are they headed will they find happiness along the way?
“You make me feel safe. You make me feel like I’m home.”
This is the 4th book, I've read, with the 'Wrong Number, Right ?' title, but it's only book 2 in the Dial M For Mates series. The first two books were in the Love Sync Mates series so technically this is a spin-off series. All four books follow the same formula... a wrong number is dialed and mates are brought together in the most unusual ways. I've loved all these stories so when I saw it on Booksprout I just had to grab it to read and review.
This particular story is about a single father, Damon, and a dragon shifter, Nicholas, meeting after an accidental wrong number is dialed. Damon's son had a horrific accident and in his emotional state he dials the wrong number and leaves a tear-inducing voicemail that's meant for his brother.
I loved all the twists and turns in this book and I'm not about to give anything away. You'll need to read this one to see why I loved it as much as I did, no spoilers here!!!
Fated mates, single father, shifter/human, MPREG, HEA
Wrong Number, Right Dragon is a standalone MM omegaverse romance by Colbie Dunbar and Lorelei M Hart. Obvious from reading the title, but this is a shapeshifter, paranormal romance. It features an omega human who in his hour of need accidentally dials the wrong number and ends up meeting the good Samaritan on the other end. A kind, strong dragon shifter alpha who knows that he has just met his mate and is willing to do everything he needs to make sure his mate is comfortable in their new relationship.
This was a wonderful and charming book. Those that love paranormal omegaverse stories will not be disappointed at all. Of course, there is an element of instalove, but I am a total sucker for it when it comes to a in shape shifter context. There is so much heart and soul in these characters and their story. There are no other words than to say I simply enjoyed this book, from start to finish, it was totally heartwarming.

Excellent addition to the series. Nickolas, is a self employed IT entrepreneur and rarely answers his phone. His friends and close acquaintances, know that. After a few persistent calls, he answers the voicemail to receive a frantic message from Damon that George is in the hospital, injured.. He is emotionally falling to pieces and says he's at the hospital. Nick, rushes there to provide support to Damon, because he called. His dragon, keeps telling him his mate is there at the hosiptal and to go find him. Happily, Nick finds Damon and realizes he is his mate. They both feel the mate pull. Damon, is human and at first doesn't know he's feeling the mating call. As always, the kids make the story. George is a trooper and an absolute delight. The three go on an adventure, that changes their lives. Nick and Damon are nice guys who keep getting surprises at every turn. Nice story, great flow. A few questions that may be answered later. Great series, nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What an absolutely fantastic story, just like all the other books in this series, this one is sure to bring the story alive from the pages. Nicholas is a dragon shifter and he has an aversion to answering his phone. He ignores the ringing, but when it keeps ringing, he puts his phone on the couch. Later, when he sees a message, he listens to it and realises that somebody desperately needs someone to be with them because George has had an accident. Nicholas goes to the hospital and discovers Damon, who is George’s father, is his fated mate. What starts off as just a friendship on Damon side soon quickly turns into a happily ever after with Damon and Nicholas getting married and George having sisters in his future as well as a secret animal in his future. There is a happily ever after for all involved
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
Alpha dragon shifter Nicholas receives a desperate voicemail from a distraught omega father Damon, his life takes an unexpected turn. Damon’s young son, George, has been gravely injured, and a misdialed number leads Nicholas to rush to their side, where he's startled to scent Dam as his mate. Despite being strangers, Nicholas’s presence brings comfort to Damon during his darkest hour. As George begins his recovery, Nicholas becomes an integral part of their lives, offering practical help and emotional support. Damon and Nicholas forge a deep connection as they get to know one another. Loved how Nicholas accepts Damon and George as being his, and that George is an important part of their story and relationship. George is so sweet as he readily adapts to the new man in his father's life and the family they're all becoming - and George's own secret... Sweet and spicy human-dragon shifter romance with lots of family, love, caring, and support.
This was such a cute story! I only wish it was longer. MCs that already have kids are usually a hit or miss with me, but I loved George. I do wish that his age was specified though, as I was doing a lot of guess work as to how old he was. He was young enough to be in a car seat and from other things I gathered I assumed he was between maybe 3-5 but I’m not the best with kids so I honestly have no idea. Their was a future view at the end of the book and we know how old he is then but other than being told that it was many years later, there was no specifics on how much later it was so you still can’t really know how old he was throughout the book.
There were a couple of other things that I wish there had been a little more insight on but it didn’t bother me so much that I was going to give it less than 5 stars, it was just such a cute family story and I definitely recommend it!

Nobody does alpha/omega mm preg like Colbie Dunbar. Each book in the Wrong Number has started with the same premise, an upset alpha or omega misdials their phone. And their shifter mate-to-be becomes enamored by their voice. That's where the similarity ends. Each story has been original. And fun. Right Dragon features an environmentalist alpha dragon, Nicholas, and his human librarian mate, Damon. Damon is a single dad, with a son, George. I like how Nicholas woos both Damon and George. And how both dads listen and encourage George. This created family concept was really sweet. Colbie Dunbar, with or without co-authors is one of my go to authors. Almost always there's a great story to cuddle up with a hot cup of tea..

Anthony never answers calls from private numbers—until one day, a desperate voicemail changes everything. A man called Damon pleads for support as his son George undergoes emergency surgery, mistakenly believing he has reached someone he knows. Unable to contact him, Anthony follows his instincts and rushes to the hospital. Once there, his inner dragon scents his fated mate, redirecting his focus entirely. In a twist of fate, Anthony discovers that his mate and the grieving father are one and the same, leading to an unexpected and profound connection forged in crisis.
This was a sweet story which started from tragedy when George was injured. I liked that Anthony was respectful and focused on consent. I loved the little family that they made and the dynamic between them all. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.
Nicholas and Damon story was sweet and endearing, with another case when a wrong number is the mediator for a dragon and human pairing. Their first meeting is charged with emotion as the circumstances weren't of the happy variety. Nicholas recognised his mate, and Damon feels attracted to him but he doesn't have a reason for it. I really liked the kid and his perspicacity of seeing the truth, the way Damon reacted to Nicholas dragon and all shifter reveal. It was sweet seeing the family moments, the moment they found out their family will grow, as well as all the bonding times. There's a couple surprises along the way, one of them being the reason George was aware of certain things. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.
This was a cute story. Damon, a single Dad, is at the hospital, for his son George, alone and calls a wrong number thinking he left a message for his brother to come be with him.
Nicholas, a dragon shifter, receives a message from a man named Damon whose alone and upset at the hospital, but he has no way to call him back and tell him his message didn't go to the right person. He feels badly and doesn't want Damon to be by himself so he goes to the hospital looking for him.
And that is how fate puts them together. Their relationship develops. George is included and made to feel special. They build their new family together. This story has no angst. Just two men falling in love.

Wrong Number Right Dragon is the first in a new series and concerns a chance meeting between hiuman Damon and dragon shifter Nicholas. Damon is trying to contact his brother after his son George has an accident. A wrong number later brings him Nicholas, his fated mate.
I'm probably not the target audience but there is a lot to like here. The writing is great and the romance is heart warming. There are some chuckles to be had and a cat with character to stroke. Shame it seems to fade into the background in the latter part of the book.
If you are into fanciful relationships with shifter kids thrown in this could be the one for you.

I loved Wrong Number, Right Dragon Book 2. Nicholas doesn’t answer his phone but when a third call comes in he listens to the message. He’s so glad he did, this man Damon was at the hospital upset and Nicholas had to get to him. His mate. His mate has a son that was injured and Nicholas doesn’t want to leave but the child sees his dragon. How is that possible? Damon can’t believe this man just came to make sure he was ok, he’s very drawn to him and doesn’t understand why. I loved the storyline and the characters. One wrong number can change your life forever. I would def recommend this book and the series.

When his son George is hurt and having emergency surgery, human omega, Damon accidentally calls the wrong number, leaving a message for help. When Nicholas, a dragon shifter, hears the message he rushes to the hospital, not wanting the parent to be alone during this stressful time. Even during the emergency both men feel a connection.
From the first meeting in the hospital, George can see Nicholas’ dragon. But playing it off as just being a kid Nicholas doesn’t tell Damon his secret yet. Waiting for Damon to be ready and wanting to be together as a family is hard on Nicholas’s dragon. But so worth it!
Sweet story! I loved it and would definitely give it more than five stars!.

Wrong Number, Right Dragon: An Mpreg Shifter Romance is book 2 of the Dial M For Mates series. This is the first book I’ve read from this series and I quite enjoyed it this is more steam-lite romance with a fantastic story line that was seriously smooth considering the beginning drops you into a medical emergency. I really loved how Nicolas stepped right up in every way. Damon didn’t even realize how much he was struggling to be the “perfect” single parent when he didn’t need to be so worried about filling all the blank space his “donor” left after getting pregnant.

Getting a phone call of distress from a wrong number is not how one might expect to find one's mate but that is what happened to Nicholas. He gets a phone call from Damon and although he does not generally answer his phone he did listen to the message and it compelled him to go to be with the distressed father on the other end of the phone. Damon's son is in the hospital and he was reaching out for support. Nicholas, Damon and George - the cutie pie son - wind up getting connected and form a growing family. This was too cute.

It was a cute book but I ended up skipping through a lot of it cause it was also a little boring. There weren't any real interactions with anyone besides the two main characters and their kid. There was also no angst in any way. So if you like that kind of thing, this is the book for you. Also, Who Gives A 5 Yr Old Oil Paints?!!!? You know you can't get that stuff out of any kind of fabric!! I don't care how talented an artist a child is! Oil Paints are a big no for young children and any parent would have a conniption if anyone dared give their child oil paints!!!!!!
