Haunted by a half-forgotten past, former army photographer Remi Grant is working at an isolated storm-watching lodge on the rocky Washington coast when she receives a mysterious puzzle piece. The puzzle piece may be the catalyst to unlock a disturbing incident she struggles to remember--the event that sent her into hiding. But with heavy storms rolling in, she has to focus on the present, not get caught up in the past.
When a mysterious man at the lodge saves her life--twice--Remi becomes suspicious and confronts him. After a catastrophic event in his own life, former military pilot Hawk Beckett is trying to get some perspective at the suggestion of his former commanding officer. Faced with the fiercest storm to hit the coast in a decade, Remi and Hawk are forced into survival mode. But they're not alone at the lodge.
Someone doesn't want Remi to remember what happened--and they will stop at nothing to see her dead.

Unfortunately this didn’t stand out to me. It felt like a basic romantic suspense.
It started strong with an intense scene to introduce both characters but also right away the chemistry between the love interests was so bland. Throughout the rest of the book, the romantic connection felt forced and I just didn’t care. The first kiss was oddly placed and I felt nothing for it.
Since I prefer more romance to action in my romantic suspense, I lost most of my investment once the romance was falling flat.
There was one plot twist I liked near the end but it was not enough to raise it to 4 stars.
Tropes & Triggers: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, amnesia, only kissing.
“At the end of the day, where a person’s heart leaned - toward God or away - was what mattered.”
I can always count on Elizabeth Goddard to write an adrenaline-filled novel that I just can’t set down! Her ability to draw me in, care about her characters, get dazzled by her settings, and get encouragement for my faith journey is spectacular.
This first book in her new series features 29-year-old Remi Grant, the manager of Cedar Trails Lodge in isolated Hidden Bay in the Pacific Northwest. Ex-Army Grant is driven by fear and paranoia and struggles to break free from her past.
Hawk Beckett arrives in Hidden Bay looking for a place to stay to get distance and perspective after a failed mission. He’s an Army helicopter pilot and former member of the Night Stalkers, a Special Operations Aviation Regiment.
Remi has arrived in Hidden Bay to help remember her past. Hawk has arrived hoping to forget his past.
When they meet in this spectacular novel, Remi and Hawk get swept up in a world of double-crossing, international espionage, and immanent danger and discover they are surrounded by untrustworthy people. I loved the focus on being free of our past and the reminder that we have no control over another’s decisions, just our reaction to them.
I can’t wait to see what Goddard has planned next!
I was gifted this book by Revell and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.
As usual, Elizabeth Goddard crafts a fast-paced suspense book that keeps the reader turning pages. Storm Warning takes place on the northern Pacific coast, and I eagerly anticipate further installments in this series, which will feature this amazing (and sometimes dangerous) setting.
My favorite line in the book is … “You know me, Remi. I’m the guy who’s going to help you get your memories back.” So sweet! I love the amnesia trope and a hero like Hawk was perfect for Remi, who has struggled with trusting others. Which makes sense. Someone had chased and targeted her all over the globe. The romance in this story was just enough while the mystery and action kept me invested.
This story is perfect for fans of: Christian romantic suspense, amnesia stories, military fiction, inspirational, stalkers, puzzles, whodunits, psychological, and happily ever afters.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All words are my own.
Storm Warning by Elizabeth Goddard left me utterly drenched in suspense and awe. This book unleashed a storm of emotions and faith, and I couldn't look away. The tension was palpable, and the danger relentless, but it was the underlying thread of God's presence that truly held my attention and my heart.
Remi Grant is a woman battling the tides of her own memory, haunted by a past she can't fully grasp. As the storms roar around her, she tries to hold on, but it's clear the storm within is just as fierce. I loved how Remi's journey was about finding peace, remembering who she truly was, and trusting that God would never leave her, no matter how isolated she felt as she recited from memory Psalm 93:3-4: “The waves roar, O Lord, the waves roar, the waves roar and crash. Above the sound of the surging water, and the mighty waves of the sea, the Lord sits enthroned in majesty.” Remi’s faith became the anchor in the chaos of her storm.
Hawk Beckett, the strong yet silent former military pilot, carries the heavy burden of past failures. What truly resonated with me was how, in his darkest moments, Hawk found himself crying out to God—something he hadn’t done in far too long. “Maybe that’s what despair did. It brought a man to his knees before God.” There’s a raw power in witnessing a man, broken by his past, still turning to the Lord. It’s a moment that shapes his character and touches the heart of the reader, reminding us of the transformative power of genuine faith in our own lives.
What I truly admired was the way the characters prayed. It wasn't forced or artificial. They prayed like they breathed, with an openness that felt natural, powerful, and real. They didn’t just seek God when things got tough—they constantly recognized His presence and His answers. Remi’s faith was quiet but fierce, while Hawk’s was humbling, and together they formed a partnership not just of survival, but of trust in God's protection, guidance, and provision.
The remote setting of the Washington coast was almost a character in itself—dangerous, isolating, and wild—just like the turmoil the characters were facing. It was impossible to ignore the crashing waves of both the literal and figurative kind. With every page, I was pulled deeper into this mystery, feeling the weight of the storm as it raged around these characters. And yet, no matter how heavy the winds blew, the underlying theme was one of God’s unshakable presence. God is still on His throne, no matter the storm.
This book is a thrilling ride, yes, with twists, danger, and unexpected surprises, and it is a profound reflection of how faith can carry us through the wildest of storms—both external and internal. Storm Warning didn’t just keep me turning pages—it kept me praying along with the characters, reminding me that no matter how high the waves rise, God is above them all.
If you’re looking for a story that blends pulse-pounding suspense with unwavering Christian faith, then Storm Warning is your book. It will keep you on your toes, but more than that, it will leave you with the reminder that, even when everything feels out of control, God is always right where He needs to be—enthroned in majesty.
I received a digital ARC of this book from the publisher, author, and NetGalley. I am not required to write a positive review nor paid to do so. This is my honest and unbiased review. “You know me, Remi. I’m the guy who’s going to help you get your memories back.”
Hawk has decided to retreat to a lodge to rest and heal after a traumatic incident that left him questioning everything. A former military man, his last mission cost him his job and his best friend. While walking along the water, he encounters Remi, who urgently needs help. Hawk steps in to save her, but little does he know, this will not be the last time he’ll find himself saving her. He thought the lodge would simply be a peaceful getaway, but what he uncovers is far from that: an attempt on Remi’s life and the involvement of his estranged brother. The stakes are high, can Hawk keep Remi alive, even if the one after her may be his own brother? And was his visit to the lodge purely by chance, or was he placed there to protect Remi?
Initially, Remi is wary of Hawk. Since his arrival, things in her life have begun to unravel. Yet, he’s the one who always steps in to save her. If she has to rely on anyone, it’s him. But the danger is relentless. Remi loves the lodge, the waves, the beach, and the close-knit community, but it was always only supposed to be a place to help her remember, a moment in her life that changed everything. That same moment seems tied to the growing threats around her. What has Remi forgotten, and can she remember in time before she and Hawk run out of it?
I loved the suspense in this story. It’s a total page-turner! Elizabeth did a fantastic job blending romance with pulse-pounding action. The story has so many layers, and you won’t want to miss it!
If you enjoy military themes, mystery, suspense, amnesia, and romance, this book is for you!!!
I received a complimentary copy, and this review reflects my honest opinion.
Buckle up, y’all – because Storm Warning by Elizabeth Goddard is an intense fight for survival where it’s hard to tell the bad guys from the good guys (and vice versa) and you aren’t sure who’s going to make it out alive.
The suspense elements in this book kept me on the edge of my seat. If I wasn’t holding my breath, wondering how Remi and Hawk were going to get out of the latest bout of immediate danger they were facing, I was stunned by one of the layered plot twists. I’m usually much better at anticipating surprises in my mystery & suspense reads, but Goddard caught me off guard more than once in Storm Warning… and I loved it!! Remi’s blocked memories, the intriguing storm lodge (where some people go to watch coastal storms …. and some people go to hide), the puzzle pieces Remi keeps getting in the mail, Hawk’s complex ties to the danger chasing Remi, the harsh weather that starts them out at a disadvantage… all of it makes for a riveting read that you won’t want to put down until you know they’re finally safe. Not only that, but I’m already champing at the bit for book two after the preview tucked at the end of this story. And I’m grateful that I only have to wait until July instead of (perish the thought!) next year.
Remi and Hawk are both great characters with more to each of them than first meets the eye. One wants to forget. One wants to remember. Both will need Jesus more than ever to face what’s ahead. I loved exploring the nuances of their backstories as well as the different facets to their personalities, and I would want either of them – both of them – on my side in a heartbeat should I ever be running for my life… or just hanging out with friends for game night. The chemistry between them is palpable and their mutual mission to survive heightens this attraction quickly into deeper feelings in a way that makes absolute sense for the story. We are treated to some sweet scenes and some swoony kisses in the midst of the storms swirling around them (the weather kind and the ‘bad guys are after us’ kind), and Goddard had me rooting strongly for their blossoming love story to have a happily-ever-after.
Bottom Line: Storm Warning by Elizabeth Goddard sweeps readers off our feet and plunges us into a high-stakes race to help Remi regain her repressed memories before someone silences her for good. I wasn’t sure who I could trust, beyond Remi and Hawk, as allegiances get murky and people aren’t who they seem, and I devoured the story as quickly as possible. The multidimensional characters (including those in supporting roles) are vibrantly drawn and have me eager for the rest of the series, too. Goddard perfectly balances the romantic tension with the suspense, timing things just right to keep us fully engaged and invested in the outcome, and I loved how she naturally wove the faith threads into the fabric of the story too. This is a wonderful kickoff to a new series, and a really enjoyable read on its own!
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)
'...she'd wanted someone to find her. And they had. Two someones. Someone to warn her. Someone to kill her.'
Romantic suspense, one of my favorite genres!
This suspense will not disappoint. It is more suspense heavy than romance heavy, but the forced proximity will help the romance lovers enjoy this book as well. If you like suspense-you should definitely add this to your must read list!
The suspense had me turning pages late into the night. There are twists and turns that I thought I anticipated and then they hit me even harder than I thought they would-it was AMAZING! This is my first book by Elizabeth Goddard and I can't wait to see what she writes next.
This book had a mashup of forced proximity, suspense/action, amnesia (accident causing the FMC to forget 5 days) as well as redemption/forgiveness vibes.
If you like suspense, action, mystery--not everything is as it seems I think you would absolutely love this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Content: military type action/suspense/violence, kidnapping, loss of loved ones, loss of memory, two casual uses of a religious exclamation, romance-kisses only.
This was a page turner from the get-go, with nonstop, action and heart pounding scenes of danger. Remi has hidden at Cedar Trails Lodge in the Pacific Northwest for two years, trying to recoup her memories after a close call with death. The storm of the decade is approaching, but so is someone who is after Remi, urging her to remember before it’s too late. Hawk comes to her rescue more than once, and he becomes the one person she can trust. This plot was very complicated with many twists and uncertainty lurking in the background. The characters were focused on doing the right thing, even with limited knowledge. The author gave Remi a strong faith to sustain her, even when she has gaps in her memory. Hawk is weaker in his faith, but it grows as the story unfolds. They rely on God when things get tough and boy do they get tough. Riveting, action, and things that are not what they seem had me turning pages until the end. * A complimentary copy of this book was provided by Revell on behalf of the author and via NetGalley through Interviews and Reviews. I was not required to post a favorable review. All opinions are mine alone.*
4.5⭐ Filled with action and a mystery! I thoroughly enjoyed this book from Elizabeth Goddard. I love the amnesia trope, and it was done really well in this story. I loved trying to figure out all of the puzzle pieces and see where they fit.
I really loved the characters as well. The romance was there but not a major part of the story. I liked the high stakes thrills as well and can't wait for the next book in the series.
*Thank you to the publisher for a complimentary copy of this book, all thoughts are my own.
Struggling with amnesia, Remi Grant decides to work at a small storm-watching lodge in Washington, but when she starts receiving puzzle pieces from a mysterious sender, she begins to wonder if her missing memories could put her in danger. When Hawk Beckett, a former military pilot, shows up at the lodge and saves Remi’s life more than once, she hesitates to trust him at first. But when it’s clear that someone’s out to kill Remi, she and Hawk are forced to work together to recover her memories and stay one step ahead of her would-be murderer.⛈️
Storm Warning is the first book in Elizabeth Goddard’s latest suspense series, and it is action-packed with high stakes and plenty of intrigue. This ended up being a bigger and more exciting story than I originally expected, and its stormy atmosphere totally upped the suspense factor. While there is a romance between Remi and Hawk, it’s on the lighter side, so if you prefer your suspense novels high on action and light on romance, this may be the book for you!🩶
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A big thank you to Revell Fiction for sending me a copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions above are my own.📘
Storm Warning was a seriously exciting riveting new book by Elizabeth Goddard. Remi and Hawk's story kept me turning pages.
Remi's memory of a horrifying event is gone. But someone is out to kill her, and it's connected to this lost memory. Hawk is determined to help her regain her memory while protecting her. There's people after her and a lone gunman who looks strangely familiar to him. The twists and turns in this story were what kept me reading page after page. And the ending! It was so unexpected that it had my jaw-dropping!!

Revell and Netgalley provided me with a copy of Storm Warning for review:
The combination of amnesia, a hero with dangerous ties, and a deadly storm makes for a thrilling ride.
Remi Grant, a former army photographer haunted by a half-forgotten past, is working at an isolated storm-watching lodge on the Washington coast when she receives a mysterious puzzle piece. The piece may be the key to unlocking a disturbing incident she can't remember-the event that sent her into hiding. But with heavy storms rolling in, she must focus on the present, not get caught up in the past. She must focus on the present, not get caught up in the past, as heavy storms are rolling in.
A mysterious man at the lodge saves Remi's life more than once, leading her to become suspicious and confront him. Former military pilot Hawk Beckett is seeking some perspective after a catastrophic event in his own life. In the face of the fiercest storm to hit the coast in a decade, Remi and Hawk must survive.
They aren't alone at the lodge, however. There is someone out there who does not want Remi to remember what happened--and they will stop at nothing to kill her.
This brand new series starts off with lots of action and danger right from the very beginning. It’s a story with twists and turns, where it is hard to know who you can trust, especially with a heroine who is suffering with amnesia due to a traumatic event. The violent storm that rolls in accentuates the danger, as well as the feelings of confusion and anxiety that both of the main characters experience.
I liked Hawk’s character and felt for him as he battled guilt from a past accident that took a friend’s life, but also guilt from feeling as if he let his younger brother down. A younger brother who now seems to be going down a dangerous and deadly path.
Remi struggled with who to trust and what information to share. I believe that her confusion and dread and fear affected her decision making. I wanted her to be more willing to trust Hawk earlier on, however, she knew she was in danger and had a big piece of her life missing, making trust something that was not easy to come by.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Remi Grant has been working and hiding from the memories lost a few years before. Something about her lost memories frightens her. As the manager of a storm-watching lodge on the Washington coast, she has received a puzzle piece and a reminder to remember, but she can't. When the biggest storm of the season rolls in, the tide traps Remi on the beach after she pursues a lodger's puppy that has run off. With only minutes to spare, she climbs a rope ladder attached to the cliff, but it breaks as she nears the top. A stranger catches her hand and pulls her to safety.
Seeking his brother who has become an assassin for hire, helicopter pilot Hawk Beckett feels a need to protect Remi, especially after someone attacks her. As confusion encircles Remi, so do her enemies. Someone wants to kill her. Someone wants to kidnap her. Someone sends her warnings with puzzle pieces. Something about Hawk lures her lost memories to the surface, but will the memories return before her enemies find her?
Storm Warning is an exciting page turner. Hawk and Remi are interesting characters with powerful concerns and enemies. The fast-paced story with its dramatic setting drew me in and held me till the last page.
The setting of a stormy coast in Washington state is perfect for the suspense that ramps up constantly in this book, even as the intensity of the storm increases. Remi Grant has lost a significant part of her memory and has sought refuge in a lodge on the coast, helping to manage the lodge while she tries to recover from amnesia. When she realizes that someone wants her to remember what happened on that army helicopter, she also starts to face danger from an unknown assailant. Hawk Beckett is staying at the lodge while he recovers from his own mishap in a helicopter and becomes Remi’s rescuer from several life-threatening situations. Together, the two of them set out to determine what has made Remi a threat to unknown powers and how they can neutralize that threat. The pace of this book is as fast as the powerful storm in the story and the characters are realistically portrayed and dynamic. I particularly enjoyed the research that the author included about the possible source of the villains and why they were coming after Remi. These details enriched the story with authenticity and added to the immersive drama. There are so many head-spinning twists and well-placed red herrings that I was thrilled to read a book that I could not guess what would happen next. The author is known for her riveting suspense and this heart-in-your-throat book did not disappoint. The romance is woven well into the story, but the main thrust of the book is the gripping suspense and the escalating tension that kept me completely engrossed by the story from beginning to end. Brilliant start to a new series! Storm Warning grabbed me from the very first line. Set in the stormy season in the Pacific Northwest, I could not turn pages fast enough while reading this fast paced suspense story with some surprise twists! I loved the chemistry between Remi and Hawk despite both of them thinking they were not in a place for a relationship.
Remi is enjoying being the manager at a rustic lodge, is trying to get her memory back from one near fatal day, and someone is after her because of the memories she can't access.
"You're going to die if you don't take my hands now." Hawk just met her, but feels very protective of her. "I’m the guy who’s going to help you get your memories back."
I highly recommend Storm Warning for lovers of excellent Christian romantic suspense, whodunits, military fiction, and happily ever-after. Seriously, you need to read this! I can't wait for book two in the series.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and Net Galley for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.
Elizabeth Goddard crafted another fantastic read involving the female main character Remi having amnesia and the male main character Hawke promising that he'd be the one who would help her get her memories back. However, someone doesn't want Remi to regain her memories and does their best to ensure she doesn't. Hawke heads to Hidden Bay to seek a new perspective after a catastrophic event and is there when Remi finds herself in danger. The storyline drew me straight in, and the suspense kept me turning the pages until the very end. The characters were well-written. This story will keep you at the edge of your seat. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a fast-paced opening to a brand new series by Elizabeth Goddard!
Remi Grant is supposed to find healing in working in a remote area in the Pacific Northwest. Memories evade her despite danger following her. If only she could remember part of her past, maybe she could figure out who wants her dead.
Hawke Beckett wants to forget the mission that went south during his time as a special ops military pilot. Crossing paths with Remi at the Hidden Bay resort only revives all the reasons he shouldn’t be helping her.
A slew of secondary characters keep readers guessing who the mastermind is. No one is who they appear to be, creating a delightful who-dun-it for readers. Twists and surprises will keep readers turning the pages until all is revealed at the end. And strange connections between minor characters abound.
The remote setting plays into the suspense, giving villains plenty of opportunity to create diversions. And nature does its best to beat Remi too.
I quite enjoyed the fact that the character I predicted to be the villain, wasn’t.
It’s a great first book to a new series. I look forward to reading book two!
I received an ecopy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.
I really enjoyed this story. Anytime there’s a protective MMC count me in especially if he’s military. Hawk Beckett fit this bill nicely. Remi surprised me in how tough she was and I also enjoy a strong FMC who can protect herself when she needs to. I enjoyed the setting of this story being on the Puget Sound in Washington state. My husband is from this area so it was fun hearing a few familiar places throughout.
This book is action packed and only covers about 4 days' time but so much happened in those 4 days that I was shocked it hadn’t been longer than that. Overall, this is a very clean suspenseful read that will keep the pages turning. I read this book in 2 days because I couldn’t put it down. Definitely recommend.

Anytime I pick up a book with Elizabeth Goddard's name on the cover, I know I am going to be in for an exciting and suspenseful read that is going to keep me at the edge of my seat. Storm Warning was absolutely no exception! There were so many twists and turns in this book--- honestly, I had absolutely no idea how anything would end up turning out with this one--- feeling like I was kept guessing all the way through to the very end--- which I love in a suspense read. The suspense definitely kept me turning the pages to see how it would all turn out, but I also really enjoyed the chemistry between Remi and Hawk. The romance was perfectly balanced with the suspense, and I couldn't help but enjoy it all. If you love Christian romantic suspense, this is one you'll want to add to your TBR!
**ARC received via Netgalley for consideration. All opinions are my own.
Elizabeth Goddard is masterful at mind-teasing mysteries. Storm Warning is a perfect example of her talent for all things spy games. It’s also the first book in her new Hidden Bay series. Y’all, I can’t wait for book 2!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. The opinions expressed are completely my own.
This book was fantastic! Nonstop action from start to finish, and faith embedded throughout. I loved watching the MCs grow as characters and in their faith, and being from the PNW myself, especially enjoyed the setting.
Goddard has another winner here!
I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
After reading this story all I can say is wow!! If you want constant action, suspense, mystery, and romance read this story! You have it all. This author is talented.
Remi is ex-army with lost memories. Hawk is ex army with a failed mission. Remi ends up at a remote lodge with no Internet and little cell service. She spends a few years trying to regain her memories. Suddenly she receives puzzle pieces from an unmarked envelope telling her to remember.
Hawk is sent to the lodge to take a break from the failed mission that ended his friend's life. He is recovering and trying to figure out what to do next with his life.
An assassin comes to the lodge in search for Remi and her lost memories. Hawk becomes her protector. That is all I can tell about the basis of this story because I don't want to give to much away. This is an action packed story from beginning to the end. It is definitely worth the read!
I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Revell through Interviews & Reviews for my honest opinion.
Based on the reviews, I thought I would like this book. The plot itself was interesting but I struggled with getting through it. To be honest, I found Remi and Hawk to be super annoying with their banter back and forth throughout the book. I ended up scanning through several sections that felt monotonous. I couldn’t finish the book fast enough. Clearly I’m in the minority so I’m glad others enjoyed it.
Are you looking for a new fast-paced suspense read? Storm Warning by Elizabeth Goddard will keep you turning pages to figure out what is going on.
Remi Grant is a former army photographer who is struggling with amnesia. She has been in hiding the past couple of years and simply can't remember what happened. However, puzzle pieces start coming in the mail that are supposed to be significant and help her remember--before it is too late. Can she finally remember what was so terrible she blocked it out?
Remi now manages a secluded lodge. There a mysterious man saves her life not just once but twice. Still she isn't sure Hawk is one of the good guys but she wants to trust him. Hawk has some issues of his own that he is struggling with as well. He has been told his former army brother, Cole, is now working for the dark side.
Thrown together, Hawk and Remi work to solve both of their mysteries. Is there a connection between them?
I enjoyed Storm Warning. The pacing was good and I enjoyed trying to solve the mysteries. I did not have it all figured out and enjoyed all of the twists and turns that led to the satisfying ending. There is some romantic tension to enjoy but the real focus of the book is on the mysterious event that left Remi with amnesia. It is a clean read with some faith elements. Storm Warning is also the first book in the new Hidden Bay series and there is a preview of the next book in the back of this one. I can't wait!
I received a copy of this book from the author and the publisher. All opinions within this review are my own.
This was my first book by Elizabeth and it was so good. It was filled with action and suspense that kept me turning the pages. Trying to figure out what Remi’s memories could hold and that could be so dangerous. Who is the true bad guy in the book and why they want Remi. Also, Hawk the hero in every situation even though he doesn’t see it that way.
This was such a good book and a great start to a new series called Hidden Bay. I cannot wait for the rest of this series.
I won Storm Warning by Elizabeth Goddard through a Giveaway by Revell. Thank you! I really enjoyed this book! I really liked the main characters, Hawk and Remi, and liked getting to know them. I would love to see their story continue and to learn more about the characters, Cole and Jo. I can't wait for the next installment in the Hidden Bay series!
This novel starts out with suspense, a once in a decade storm along with king tides. Living on an island in the Salish Sea, we've recently experienced just the type of storms Goddard describes. She captured the danger well. And the suspense keeps coming as the plot develops.
The characters are drawn well. We get the sense there are secrets in both Remi's and Hawk's pasts. The suspense increases as we find out Remi's past includes information people will kill to obtain. The relationship between Remi and Hawk is a turbulent one with an underlying current of possible romance. There is an informative exploration of amnesia and a surprising twist near the end.
My favorite aspect of this novel is its setting, the Olympic Peninsula. The west side of it is rugged forest and is well described by Goddard. This is an engaging novel of adventure, faith, and budding romance.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.
