This is a wonderful book. It deals with a hard subject. How do you teach a child about disabilities, pain, broken dreams, aging, and losing a loved one? This book does all of those things. It shows us that the Bible has the answers to all of those questions. It doesn't just point us to the answers though; it shows us that the answer is beautiful with hope. It's very gentle in the way it explains what is going on. The illustrations are wonderful. They are realistic and colorful.
The last page is a list of verses and thoughts about heaven so that you can study deeper into the Word of God.
I would recommend this book to every child.

Wait Until Then is a wonderful book for children. It tells the story of a boy named Nathan, who is confined to a wheelchair because of spina bifida, and his grandfather, who needs to use a walker. Nathan’s grandfather teaches him about Heaven and the New Earth. He teaches him about the new bodies believers will one day have. Together Nathan and his grandfather look forward to the fun they will have in Heaven someday. When the grandfather dies, Nathan mourns his loss, but also looks forward to the time when he will see his grandfather in Heaven.

Wait Until Then is a good book to read when teaching your child about salvation, Heaven, and the New Earth. The lessons learned in this book will help children to keep an eternal perspective in the midst of suffering and loss. This book will be especially beneficial for children who are disabled, have a friend who is disabled, or who have a loved one who has passed away and gone to Heaven.

Definitely my favorite Tyndale read this year, Randy Alcorn's "Wait Until Then" supersedes all other books for children on the subject of Heaven. Perfectly written, in easy to understand fashion and it has beautiful illustrations. This sweet book explores the promises of Heaven, finding positive meaning in our trials and what happens when we die. These in depth subjects are presented in such a tender way through the story of a Grandfather "Gramps" who has cancer and his beloved grandson "Nathan" who struggles with spinal bifida. In true Randy Alcorn style, the best selling author offers a ray of hope and joy to his readers. Always backed by scripture, this book of only 32 pages offers numerous uplifting spiritual lessons. I highly recommend this book to anyone facing a giant in their life to gain perspective and courage. Excellent Read!
