Amazon #1 Bestselling Author, Laura Pavlov.

Hockey is my first love. And I’m coming off the best season of my life.
In the process of scoring the winning goal that gave us the Stanley Cup I tore my MCL, and I’ll need to spend the next few months recovering.
Eloise Gable, the team’s new physical therapist, has been sent to Rosewood River to help me heal and get me ready for the new season.
Yet, she doesn’t seem all too happy about the situation.
In fact, she can’t stand me most days.
It doesn’t stop me from staring at her any chance I get.
She’s beautiful and brilliant, but she’s got her guard up the minute I get close.
Eloise is a distraction I wasn’t prepared for.
Did I mention that she’s also my coach’s daughter?
But after a long run together in the summer heat, our built up tension snapped.
We end up stripping down and jumping in the river.
It seemed like the logical thing at the time.
The problem is, Eloise Gable is completely off limits.
But I’m a professional hockey player, and in my world, limits were meant to be pushed.
Hockey may be my first love, but after falling for my coach’s daughter—it’s definitely not my last.

Over the Moon was another fun, sweet, and romantic read by Laura Pavlov. It’s the third book in her ’Rosewood River’ series and I loved it. Pavlov always does an amazing job with family/found family and this was no exception.

Clark Chadwick is the professional athlete of the Chadwick bunch. After winning the cup and getting injured, he needs some rehab. This is where we meet Eloise. Eloise is Clark’s coach’s daughter as well as the new PT for his team.

I loved that this had a bit of that forbidden romance aspect, so you get that tension and angst, but it was also so sweet and made me smile so much. I laughed out loud and swooned at the romance. The narration was perfect as well. After reading this one, I’m so excited to get to the next book in this series. Enemies to lovers is my jam!

Another sweet, forbidden romance from Laura! She writes small towns and found families so well, and I loved this crew of characters. The heroine is hired as a trainer for the hero's hockey team, and she has to move to his small town to help him rehab his injury. So definitely plenty of forced proximity here! They fall fast and hard, but it's against the rules for them to be together, and she's also the coach's daughter.

This has been such a fun series and I just love seeing these characters throughout each book!

Over the Moon is book 3 in the Rosewood River series! This is a small town romance with forbidden vibes between a hockey player and a physical therapist (who is also the coach’s daughter).

Clark is a hockey player and Eloise is his new physical therapist. He plays hockey for the San Francisco Lions and the team hires Eloise to help him heal after an MCL injury he got while winning the Stanley cup. Eloise also happens to be the coach’s daughter and is not thrilled to help Clark who she sees as a “diva” player. It doesn’t help when she finds out she has to move to his small hometown for three months because “that’s where he rehabs better”. But of course she soon realizes she was mistaken and the two are instantly attracted to one another.

This was an easy, fun one. He’s instantly attracted to her and the forced proximity of them working/training together leads to them giving in “just for a while”. The family in this series is so cute and fun. Lots of other fun times too: Chad-Six pickleball, sick caretaking, her notebooks, Chadwick family dinners, Taylor Tea, Beefcake appearance, nicknames Hotshot and Weeze. If you want a cutesy fun small town romance, this series is great!

I received an ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own.

Well this was way better than the last book I read by Laura Pavlov! I would say if you aren’t interested in reading “My Silver Lining” you don’t need to read that to enjoy this. This seems like it is a series of standalone. They didn’t have repetitive conversations about a leaving date, instead they communicated and made sure they were on the same page!

The group chat with the Chadwick’s are definitely the highlight of the book! Hahah I loved the one about the toilet! Haha!

I am very much looking forward to Bridger’s book! That comes out in September so only a few months to go!

3/5🌶️

I just love Laura's books so I'll always read them when I get the chance. Again, I was super lucky to be part of her ARC team for this book and I must thank her and Valentine Pr for it!

Clark Chadwick was one of the best players of The Lions hockey team. He got injured and had to go through a serious recovery, which he preferred to do in his hometown, Rosewood River. Because of that, Eloise Gable, the one assigned to be his physical therapist, was forced to move for a while to the town too, in order to get Clark back to his best shape again.

Eloise was also the coach's daughter, which would only complicate things, because she and Clark had built such a unique connection, one that they've never felt like. But can they stay together or will they have to break up after they finish the recovery? Because they were working in the same place and being together might destroy everything they've worked for so hard in their careers.

I had such a wonderful time reading this book. Clark was such a goofy guy and he constantly made me laugh. I truly liked his personality and the way he acted around Eloise. He was protective, super sweet and head over heels in love with her. Eloise was a bit more sensitive, constantly questioning herself if she was smart enough for the job she had, not wanting to be hired only for her dad's sake. Being with Clark added to the pressure she already had and it was difficult for her to know what to do and how to fix things. Clark's whole family and friends from Rosewood River had a really huge part in their story, welcoming Eloise with so much warm and they were also super fun.

This book made me feel so good, loving the characters so much! I laughed a lot and I adored the slow burn of this story and how explosive their bound was. I just love these type of complex stories, which offer more than just a physical connection, with lovely characters who are growing throughout the story.

Over The Moon by Laura Pavlov
5/5⭐
2,5/5🌶️

I was super excited to dive back into Rosewood River with this book! I feel like this series keeps getting better and better, and I couldn’t be happier about it. This story is all about Clark and Eloise. Clark is a hockey player who just celebrated a big win with his team. They’ve won the Stanley Cup, and it’s the best year of his career! But he gets injured during the last game. So, he heads back to Rosewood River to heal up and be closer to his family. Eloise is the new physical therapist assigned to help Clark recover. Right from the start, there’s this amazing chemistry between them. But Eloise is not just any therapist; she’s also the daughter of Clark’s coach. This makes their budding romance more complicated!

Eloise is a fantastic character—smart, strong, independent, and passionate about her job. At first, she’s not thrilled about having to follow Clark to a small town, and her growing attraction to him adds to her frustration. She tries to keep things professional, but the more time they spend together, the more she sees a different, charming side of Clark. He’s flirty and confident, always loves to tease her. While hockey is his main focus, Eloise slowly makes him reconsider that.

The banter between Clark and Eloise is simply delightful! Their chemistry and tension are off the charts. I especially loved how they both strive to work together for their relationship and communicate openly about their feelings. Can we talk about the friendships between Eloise and the girls? The girl gang is everything! The humorous moments with the Chadwicks are some of the best! That scene where they discuss Rafe’s toilet had me laughing so hard I was crying. I just adored their family dynamic, especially Easton’s obsession with pickleball and how Eloise becomes part of the team! Overall, this book is a fantastic addition to the series, and I can’t wait to read Bridger’s book next. I know it’s going to be a fun ride!

Another banger from Laura. I loved everything about this book except Randall (iykyk). I cried HARD in the last 20% but I loved that Eloise... and Clark had such a strong support system. It was so fun to be back in this world. I'm really intrigued by Sebastian and I hope to see his book at some point. I loved how Ellie to Eloise under her wing when she needed it most. And Emilia! I liked her in previous books but now I ABSOLUTELY ADORE her! She's just the sweetest. Thank you to valentine pr for this arc

I will preface this by saying that I am a diehard Laura Pavlov fan. Like, in LP we trust. So it painssss me to leave anything other than a glowing review. However, the two series since the Magnolia Falls series have fallen extremely flat.

To me, the books are starting to feel like copy paste iterations of each other with minor details changed. The dialogue feels the same, the spice scenes feel the same, the plots feel the same, the same phrases are said in every single book ad nauseam. "Sexy as hell." "Juicy bottom lip" (used 24 times in this book!!) "Every last drop of pleasure" "Inch by glorious inch" on and on.

There seems to be less and less plot happening in the books and it's just conversations and interactions dealing with their attraction to each other, and then the solution for any plot drama gets wrapped up really quickly at the end and in an unbelievable, too perfect way. The FMC's are always stellar at everything that they do. They also are all amazing athletes and Pickleball players. Every single one. It's just becoming harder and harder to connect with the characters when they just feel too perfect and too good at everything - where is the human element that we felt in the Magnolia Falls series?!

Several times I've had to stop the audio in the last couple books because the dialogue has been cringe and that has never been an issue with LP books before. The text conversation about using the bidet was like reading a conversation between gross middle school boys and was so awkward I had secondhand embarrassment.

I really hate that I feel like these books are not hitting the way that they used to and that the writing is getting lackluster and repetitive because LP has been my favorite small town romance author.

And I'm honestly not excited to read Bridger's book because this doesn't even feel like enemies to lovers, it's more like a bully romance. He has been absolutely harassing the next FMC. It's not the vibe.

I loved every single second of this book! I’m really loving that Laura went back and visited our favorite Hockey team, and will absolutely beg to see more of them!

Clark and Eloise were everything I didn’t know I needed! I went in knowing I was going to love Claek, but even my high expectations were surpassed because this man just made it into my book boyfriend hall of fame!

✨Hockey Romance
✨ Small Town
✨ Forbidden Relationship
✨ Coach’s Daughter
✨ Workplace Romance
✨ Close-knit Family

If you could mix two perfect genres for me it would be sports and small town, and Laura pulls both off so so well!

I loved Clark and Eloise from their very first interaction, and their tension, well it was tensioning. They were making me sweat way before they finally gave in and I could not put this book down.

And can we talk about all the side characters because the Chadwick family as a whole makes my heart full and my cheeks hurt from smiling.

And John Gable… umm that man is my favorite. I loved every single coach’s daughter in a sports romance and I always love watching the dad find out, let me tell you, I absolutely loved how it played out here.

Everything about this book is my favorite and this is one of my top Laura books to date (and I’ve read them all)

Fresh off a Stanley Cup win, NHL Phenom from the San Francisco Lions, Clark, is headed to his hometown of Rosewood River (the stomping grounds for his large boisterous family and their growing cadre of significant others) to heal an MCL injury and get back to fighting form, in time for the next hockey season.

Having recently graduated from a dual-degree program with a doctorate in physical therapy and a master’s in athletic training, Eloise has been hired by the Lions as the team’s newest physical therapist. The Lions also happen to be the team that father serves as head coach.

One of Eloise’s first assignments as physical therapist is to relocate to Rosewood River for the summer to personally oversee Clark’s physical therapy, training and recovery.

At first, the physical therapist and hockey star butt heads, with each resenting how the others’ presence causes upheaval in their lives. However, as the pair work together (and Clark begins to benefit from Eloise’s therapies and multi-faceted training regimen), the two come first to respect one another’s dedication to a shared goal, then to be friends (as Eloise becomes enmeshed in Clark’s family and extended social circle), and eventually morph into something much more . . .

Eloise knows that, as a woman in a male-dominated field, and as someone whose qualifications are held under a microscope (due to her father’s position in the organization that hired her), a romantic entanglement with Clark would jeopardize her career way more than his. However, while Eloise is initially hesitant to pursue things with the professional athlete, the chemistry, crackling banter, tension and mutual affection between the two inevitably becomes impossible to ignore.

Can Eloise and Clark keep their relationship confined to their summer spent together in Rosewood River? What will happen when they return to work with the San Francisco Lions? Is this forbidden romance doomed to fail, before it can truly begin?

I really enjoyed this! Over the Moon definitely ranks in my top Laura Pavlov reads! I appreciated that Pavlov actually allowed us to see Clark and Eloise training together and doing their jobs. Oddly enough, this aspect of “forbidden workplace romances” often seems woefully lacking in many tales that utilize this trope.

I truly believed that Clark and Eloise had passion for their careers, were good at what they did, respected one another’s crafts, and enjoyed spending time together in the course of their shared work. (Plus, working out, massaging, sweating, lifting, and swimming together can be really sexy!)

Speaking of sexy, I thought the spice in Over the Moon was really well-written, swoony, and fit these characters well. On the more wholesome, G-rated, side of the spectrum, we also got a very fun and adorable “sick care-taking sequence” that I honestly wouldn’t mind re-reading.

Having Clark’s family immediately embrace Eloise and pull her into their extended social circle was refreshing to see, not only because it allowed us to revisit beloved characters from past novels in this (and prior) series, but also because it made it even more apparent how well-matched Clark and Eloise were, and how seamlessly they fit into each other’s lives.

Speaking of the family, in past novels, I’ve gotten a bit frustrated with the extended family text chain that permeates each Pavlov book. However, I thought it was used well here. It wasn’t overdone. It allowed for some solid character development for future romantic heroes in this series. (I am very much looking forward to Emilia’s and Bridger’s novel, which was set up well here.) Plus, a few of the exchanges actually had me laughing out loud. (I’m looking at you, Rafe’s New Toilet!)

In other humor news, Over the Moon offered a genuinely hilarious Family Dinner / Shared-Secret Keeping scene that would have felt right at home in any early 2000’s romcom.

Like many Pavlov novels, Over the Moon features no third-act breakup. Rather, Clark and Eloise face an external conflict together, in a way that shows their strength as a duo, the extent of their feelings for one another, and their shared willingness to sacrifice for one another’s happiness.

To that end, I appreciated that, while the bulk of the novel took place in Rosewood River, we did get to spend some time back at work with the San Francisco Lions. I thought the inevitable conflict that took place here was well-handled. Though probably not entirely legally accurate, I think the author did a nice job of displaying how a sports team would potentially grapple with issues of workplace romance, while not shying away from the extent to which the females in these situations are often treated more unfavorably than the men.

I docked a point from my rating, because I did think Over the Moon featured a few too many “pep talks from romantic leads in Pavlov’s last novels.” Not only did these sound a bit unnatural and somewhat redundant, they also each seemed to have to include the characters summarizing the love stories from their particular novel. This felt like the author was just repeatedly patting herself on the back for past jobs well done.

Not that such self-acclaim isn’t deserved! Pavlov has created quite a world for herself in these series. However, I hope the author realizes that her individual novels can stand alone and speak for themselves. Readers will naturally seek out Pavlov’s back list, if, and when, they enjoy THIS novel, without her having to repeatedly remind us of the existence of ALL her MANY past works.

That niggle aside, I highly recommend Over the Moon for readers who enjoy sports romances, workplace romances, small town romances, and found-family stories. If any of these tropes are your literary bread and butter, you will find much to love in this short, sweet, lightly spicy, and low-angst love story!

Back to Rosewood River for the third book in the series, a forbidden sports romance that is sweet, sexy, and gorgeously swoony. I loved this story!

Hockey superstar Clark is riding a career high after scoring the winning goal in the Stanley Cup. But he damaged his knee and has to rehab his injury during the off season. So, his team sends his own personal physical therapist to his small home town to work with him and make sure that he’s healed and ready for the coming season.

Eloise is new to the team, and she just happens to be the coach’s daughter. She’s strong and capable, and determined to prove herself, though she is not happy to be uprooted for three months to move to a small country town to work with the team’s arrogant star. But as she and Clark begin to work together, she realises that he’s more than what she was expecting.

A friendship forms, they flirt and tease, and they fall together into the most gorgeous romance. It’s sweet, fun and steamy, and I was so easily swept up in their love story.

I swear she looked like forever. And I've never known what forever looked like, so that was a strong revelation.

But fraternisation in the organisation is not allowed, which brings a forbidden element to things. And as the new season draws nearer and their carefree summer comes to a close, Clark and Eloise have a very complicated situation to navigate.

I loved this book. It’s got all of the small-town romance feels that I love about Laura Pavlov’s writing, and the chemistry is just fabulous. Clark and Eloise are fantastic characters and they are so great together, and the rest of the Chadwick family bring a hilariously entertaining dynamic as they watch the romance unfold.

This is a gorgeous read, a wonderful addition to the series, and a brilliant lead-in to a much-anticipated enemies-to-lovers romance coming up next!

4 stars.

God I love this series and this family. The text chain between the Chadwick 6 is just hilarious and only gets better as each one gets into a relationship.

Clark is a professional hockey player who got hurt while winning the Stanley Cup. So the team’s personal trainer was sent to his home town to help him get better and back in shape over the off season.

The problem is, Eloise (love that name) is not only the trainer but the coach’s daughter. Clark starts to fall for her but she knows in their man’s world she will get in trouble if people find out she is dating the star hockey player.

Now Eloise and Clark need to decided if they value your jobs more than a relationship or are they, in fact. Over the moon for each other.

This is another total win in the Rosewood River series! 🌙💫 It can be read as a standalone… but honestly, why would you want to miss even a second of this swoony small town world?! No one writes small town like Laura Pavlov — I mean it. This was sweet, sexy, playful, and gave me all the flirty, fun escape vibes I needed. Clark and Eloise were absolutely adorable, their banter was top-tier, and the forbidden workplace tension? 👏🏻 Yes, please. I say this every time I read a new books by Laura, I know, but they get better and better EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Trainer x Hockey Player??? COACHES DAUGHTER??

Who could want MORE?

The friendship between Clark & Eloise is absolutely beautiful and the way Clark wants to love and protect her at the same time was absolutely swoon worthy. Clark has easily made it to the list of my favorite MMC’s.

Just the right amount of spice, plot, and drama! Ate this one right up! Laura can do no wrong!

Clark Chadwick is a hockey star from Rosewood River recovering from an injury. Eloise, the team’s new athletic trainer/ PT is also the coach’s daughter. She’s tasked with going to Clark’s hometown to help with his recovery. At first, they don’t get along due to Clark not following her advice.

Soon, the two feel an attraction to each other. The only problem is there is a no fraternization clause in their contracts. Eloise has a lot to prove and doesn’t want to lose her first training job.

When they can’t deny their attraction, they begin spending more time together and go on dates. Clark falls hard and fast. But what happens when they leave Rosewood River? It’s forbidden for them to be together, but will they risk it all for love?

I love the LP universe and always enjoy seeing familiar characters pop up in other series! There are quite a few cameos in this one!

Really enjoyed this small town, forbidden, hockey romance. Laura really touches on the hypocrisy of what happens when both a man and woman should be reprimanded for rule breaking in the workplace, but how women usually have to take the fall.

He’s the most valued hockey player on the team. She’s the coach’s daughter and his PT. He is super flirty and she tries to resist. They fall in love and try to keep their relationship a secret.

Performed in dual by Teddy Hamilton and Charlotte North.

This story follows Elouise, who has moved to a small town where a prestigious ice hockey team trains. As a physical therapist, she’s been asked to help the team’s star player, Clarke, get back into shape after a recent injury. Elouise can’t afford to slip up—she has no interest in falling for anyone, and she definitely doesn’t want to let her father, the team’s coach, down. But what happens when Clarke starts getting under her skin?

This was such a fun read and a brilliant audiobook! The duet-style narration hit the spot perfectly. I highly recommend picking it up in this format. I loved Clarke’s personality—he was fun, flirty, and pushed boundaries in the most tasteful way. The date night he planned absolutely made me melt.

Elouise’s character was more hesitant, given the risks involved, and the added pressure of being a woman working in a male-dominated environment. I loved the girl squad who welcomed her and made her feel supported. It was just a feel-good read overall, and honestly, I can’t wait for the next book—Amelia’s story with the grumpy brother is going to be delicious.

This author has a knack for writing amazing characters that make me smile! I had the best time reading this book. And don’t even get me started on that dinner scene. I cackled so hard. It is the perfect mix of sports romance, forbidden love and friends to lovers!

Here’s what I loved:
The frenemies to lovers vibes were strong in this one.
I adore this family unit! There were so many great scenes with the secondary characters that made me smile and kick my feet.
The angst of the forbidden love trope is unmatched. I enjoyed how the author created not only tension, but some really great moments due to the forbidding nature of this relationship.
More Beefcake!
It was just a great time!
