He’s the superstar tight end staging a comeback. She’s the hit he never saw coming.
For ten-year NFL veteran Griffin Lacey, football is life. Months after being released from his team due to a season-ending injury, he’s given an unexpected opportunity—a one-year contract to play for his hometown team. His game plan is clear: play to win, no distractions. But a fender bender on the way to the first home game changes everything.
College literature instructor Brynn Nelson is thirty and not thriving. Trapped in a dead-end relationship and stuck in a city that has never felt like hers, every day seems to blur into the next. When she accidentally rear ends a sports superstar, the chance encounter makes her long to break free from the rut she’s in. He offers to show her the magic of her adopted city, and through their adventures, she reclaims her spark.
As Griffin and Brynn’s connection deepens, they discover magic of a different sort—that love happens when you least expect it.
A sexy, swoony football romance and a love letter to one of America’s most iconic cities, The Check Down is the first book in the Lacey Bros series.
Brandy Pelletier spends her days as a reading specialist and her nights and weekends reading anything she can get her hands on. She’s wanted to become a published author ever since second grade, when her original story “How the Giraffe Got Its Long Neck” was published in her school district’s annual writing anthology.
When she’s not blasting Taylor Swift or attempting to tackle her ridiculously long TBR, she can be found collecting book boyfriends and dreaming of living in a witch cottage with her miniature schnauzer, Pippa.
I’ve been in my hockey romance era recently but Griffin Lacey? ~swoon~ Football romance for the win!
I love love loved this story and these characters so much. Brynn and Griff were both so relatable and I love how they balanced out and challenged one another. Brynn is people pleasing and insecure at times (um, hi, same, girl), but not to the point where she seems whiny or annoying. Griffin is strong and protective (swoons…again), but not overly protective to the point where you want to ask him to chill out.
This story was easy to get through but the writing was descriptive and interesting as well. I highlighted several quotes just because they were worded in ways I’ve just never heard before which I loved (“the way his gravelly voice forms the phonemes of my name makes goosebumps blanket my body” o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d)
I’m actually so sad I finished the book because I miss Brynn, Griffin, and their whole quirky crew, but I CAN’T WAIT to read more on the Lacey Brothers. 😍📚🏈
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance (Sports Romance) Spice: 3/5 (spice rating is relative to other books in the same genre)
Tropes: academic x NFL player, silly meet cute, strangers to friends to lovers, roommates, tour guide adventures, sick / care with soup, pining, inside jokes, obsessed MMC, slow burn, jealousy, nickname, and more!
Spoiler-free summary: Brynn’s life takes on a whole new trajectory when she accidentally rear-ends NFL player, Griffin Lacey. What started as an unusual first impression transforms into a friendship of adventures into Memphis. Griffin has placed Brynn into the “just friends” box and is determined to keep her there. Even after she breaks up with her awful boyfriend. Even after she becomes his roommate. But what about when he realizes that maybe he’s falling for her?
Thoughts: The Check Down is a hilarious, swoony story of two people organically finding their happy ever after. This is the third book by Brandy that I’ve had the privilege to ARC read, and it is absolutely my favorite!
Griffin is the perfect mix of goofy and romantic that had me frothing at the mouth numerous times. He’s growly and jealous and thoughtful, a triple threat. Quadruple if you add in the NFL body 🤣 I also really adored Brynn! She is adorable and relatable, and I was endlessly amused by her quirks and how Griffin seamlessly accepted them at every turn. I loved every second of their ever evolving relationship; from strangers to friends to roomies to lovers! Their relationship is the epitome of dating your best friend.
Brandy always does such a wonderful job of making every character, even the lesser ones, full of life! It brings so much complexity to her character’s stories and engages me so much.
All in all, this was so humorous and fun and I adore this couple with my whole heart!
Thank you to the author for providing me with e-ARC of the book. I am choosing to leave a review, and all my thoughts are my own honest ones.
I adored this with my entire heart. This is the perfect read after finishing a stressful semester of school. The development of these two characters and their relationship was done to perfection. These two were so cute from start to finish. Their fun bonding activities, jokes, gestures of affection, and spicy moments had me by the throat as well as smiling from ear to ear.
Brynn is the kind of FMC that has played it safe her whole life and has done herself an injustice as a result. One day fate has her crashing into a certain NFL player (literally) and gradually she begins to garner more confidence and begin to take more control of her life. She is an English professor in the middle of getting her PHD, who dreams of Fantasy worlds and she finally begins to fight for what she wants with gentle encouragement. I really enjoyed seeing her growth and I really empathized with her struggles.
GRIFFIN LACEY THE MAN YOU ARE. Perfect balance of silly, emotionally mature, communicative, possessive, considerate, attentive, and HOT. Ughh think of any positive adjective and he has it. Yet another green flag man to add to my list. Not only is he absolutely obsessed with Brynn, he is all about encouraging her to shine, and is always striving to be better for her. WHERE CAN I FIND ONE OF HIM? I mean the list of notes on his phone, the little hidden dragons, and everything else has me sobbing over how cute.
The progression of the romance was perfect. They went from attraction, to friends, to roommates, to lovers in the most natural way possible. They love each other so much and it really shows through every interaction. They hear each other out and even if they are afraid of being vulnerable with each other, the slowly step forward together towards difficult conversations. I adore them so flipping much.
I am so ready to be getting Lacey Family fun because I just know that Brandy has beautiful things in store for us. Those cameos are going to make me so excited too!
This book was AMAZING!! I’m still thinking about Griffin Lacey!!
If you’re looking for a sports romance that will have your newest book boyfriend… add this to your TBR! The Check Down will be a favorite for sure! I cannot wait for the rest of the series!
Griffin and Brynn when she accidentally rear ends Griffin in her boyfriend’s sports car… If you rolled your eyes or thought.. typical “meet cute” unroll those eyeballs because what happens next is a fast paced, laugh out loud, story that will just make your heart happy and give you all the butterflies!
Griffin Lacey is a green flag book boyfriend! He walks on the outside of the sidewalk, closest to the street… need I say more? Okay greedy (🤣)... he started a note of Brynn’s likes and dislikes.. AND THEY WEREN’T DATING YET!! And the dragons!!!!! You’ll have to read to find what that’s about but you will swoon HARD!!! He is 10/10!!
@thebrandyland ‘s writing is incredible! The way she pulls you into a story is amazing! She could write about the history of bar soap and I’d be intrigued! This woman is a genius and incredibly talented! (& will hopefully not shun me bc I left this review in my drafts 🤞🏻🤦🏼♀️)
If sports romances with green flag boyfriends and some of the best banter is your vibe.. you will NOT be disappointed with The Check Down! I gave it 5 stars and I don’t hand those out often.
Thank you so much for the ARC! I absolutely loved this book and am impatiently waiting for the rest of the series!!
“I have a gorgeous woman in my childhood bedroom. It’s like all my adolescent fantasies come to life.” • Mmmmkay!!! Brandy does it AGAIN! This book is amazing! Brandy does such a good job at creating main characters that are funny and enjoyable! They have visible chemistry and Griffin is such a gent — a man we can all wish for! Griffin makes sure to remember every little thing about Brynn. Brynn is so down to earth and I felt like she was so relatable as a woman. She had similar feelings that I’m sure we have all shared at times. She is so strong & her personality is one that is so easy to fall in love with! Not only are Brandy’s main characters well written, but so are the side characters. Some of my favorite scenes in the book involve the side characters interacting with the main characters. There is lots of love and LOTS of humor! I can honestly say that I was laughing almost every single chapter. If you love romance, football, and some giggles, I would definitely pick this up!
This is my second time reading The Check Down and IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!!
You want an athlete? This book has a tight end (the football player position) that fits that to a T!
You want a FMC who loves books as much as you do? Brynn is a freaking English professor (and isn’t that just the dream?!)
You want to read about a couple where the MMC actually respects the FMC’s boundaries and knows not to rush things? You should read this one (and fall in love with Griffin Lacey)!
You want a book that includes actual restaurants (I Googled, they exist)? This book has Memphis restaurant recs for you!!
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!
From the moment I started writing this book, I knew it was something special. The words flowed so effortlessly, I'm convinced a bit of magic was involved. It's my favorite thing I've written, and I'm endlessly proud of it. I'm thrilled to share Griffin and Brynn's magical love story with all of you.
“By the time we pull into a lot next to Mud Island Park, I’m drunk on Griffin Lacey—on his scent, on his laugh, on his charm, on him. He’s intoxicating.”
Oh. My. Gherkins. The Check Down by Brandy Pelletier is the football player romance I never knew I needed and ate. It. Up. This book is my first introduction to the Lacey Brothers, and I don’t know if I will make it to the next book. Griffin and Brynn hit me right in the feels, and I didn’t want to leave. I felt an immediate connection to people pleaser Brynn, even feeling that nip of worried anxiety when she accidentally rear-ended Griffin, and that connection grew stronger as I read on. Knowing how she felt, out of place and friendless in a new city, and stuck in an unfulfilling relationship made her growth and realization of her strength that much more impactful. Brynn was more than she ever thought of herself and worthy of the love and friendship the right people gave her. Watching her come out of her shy and reclusive shell gave me hope.
“It’s as easy as breathing, because his face has become my beacon. His arms are my safe shelter. His touch is my motivation. And his heart is my home.”
Griffin ‘Racy’ Lacey was something out of my dreams and more than once; I cursed the book because I couldn’t pluck him out of the pages and make him real. Griffin was full of green flags, and while he wasn’t perfect, he knew his flaws and worked hard to overcome them. Griffin wasn’t afraid to be himself around Brynn, nor was he ashamed to be seen with her or *of* her, constantly reassuring her in new places and around new people. There were so many favorite movements with Griffin, but when he started making (and adding to) his list about Brynn, I just about lost it. This man was caring, sweet, and so genuine it hurt my heart. I also loved that he genuinely loved and accepted Brynn as she was. Hiding the little dragons all over their home was so freakin’ adorable. Honestly, I could go on about Griffin and Brynn for days, but I’ll stop for now.
Overall, Brandy Pelletier wrote a story full of the perfect banter, down to nicknames and inside jokes that had me laughing out loud. Her writing feels so familiar, and she creates the secondary characters in a way that gives them so much personality and space without distracting them from the MCs. She also has you wanting to know more about their stories asap. The spice in The Check Down was absolutely SPICING and real, even the laughably embarrassing moment. Thanks a lot, Tucker. I will never stop singing my praises of this book.
Thank you so much to Brandy Pelletier for providing me with this book to read and review. I didn’t know I needed Griffin and Brynn’s love story, but I’m lucky to have experienced it.
I honestly cannot remember signing up for this Arc, but it was the happiest surprise when it showed up in my inbox! 3am me signing up for this knew I’d want it.
Let me start out like I do with every review. There was NO third act break!!!! 🥳🥳🥳. All the points for that! I can’t stand them but nope, this book had third act drama but get *this* our beautiful couple talked it out. I loved that Griffin was like you come sit on my lap and let’s get this figured out. Perfection.
I’m not much of a fluff romance, more a dark romance girly, but was I disappointed in this? Heck no. Sometimes you need a little fluff and let me tell you, Griffin over here was book boyfriend goals. This man is SO sweet but also has a dirty mouth on him 😮💨😮💨
The smut was there, definitely wasn’t in your face so for me I’d prefer more but I’m a smut sluț. But what was there? H.O.T.
I wish I could tell you my favorite scene but I pretty much just loved it all 🤣🤷🏼♀️.
Favorite quotes:
“You are so goddamn beautiful.” “Griff.” “When you smile at me like that, it robs the fucking air from my lungs.” Unbidden, tears line my eyes, but I blink them away. Griffin doesn’t miss them, though. “All right?” I nod and press my lips to his. “There’s no rush, professor. If you need a break or to stop…”
“Nah. I didn’t steal her. He lost her. But I’m damn sure keeping her, because she is a fucking treasure.”
I can’t wait for the other brother’s books. Especially Shaw. Love me a dark and brooding man, and he seemed pretty fucked up. I wanna see his story so bad 👀
This was my first Brandy book, but it definitely won’t be my last!!!
Move over, Mel and Cordell…my new favorite couple is Bryann and Griffin.
I just loved these two together. Their journey from strangers to friends to lovers was absolute perfection! The pacing was spot-on, and I loved how Brandy wrote Bryann as a nerdy, dragon-loving English lit teacher. Even with her quirks, Bryann still felt effortlessly cool to me. Anyone who’s ever moved to a new town can totally relate to her struggle to find friends. I was so happy when Paige and the gang took her under their wings! (Side note: if your bf/hubby hasn’t had to pick you up from a tipsy brunch…are you even living? Lol.)
And Griff…everyone’s new favorite book boyfriend. How was he so perfect? From the moment he saved Bryann to helping her find her “Memphis magic”—all while letting her be herself and never judging her—I was hooked. He made sure she knew he worshipped the ground she walked on and even hid dragons for her to find. I’m so glad Bryann ran into his (well, technically Seth’s) car, lol.
From this day forth, I’ll only be holding hands if a finger wiggle is involved to initiate it! I loved how they slowly learned to communicate with each other, and the way they both showed such willingness to make changes for each other was so heartwarming. And while the spice was definitely there, it never overshadowed the romance, which made me extremely happy.
Overall, I loved this book. I highly recommend reading this one, and make sure to go back and read Mel and Cordell’s book too!
“The Check Down” is a cozy romance read with the perfect level of spice. This book encompasses the feeling of falling in love perfectly. The characters are easily lovable, and I was hooked within the first few chapters.
The MMC is a professional football player who recently recovered from an injury. He plans on putting football first. Well, until he meets the FMC. She is a nerdy “professor” who enjoys reading and writing. These two could not be any more different. This book does follow the typical nerd/jock romance, which might not be for everyone. However, I ate this up.
One of my favorite things about this book is that the main characters actually communicate! My most despised trope is miscommunication. However, while these characters have arguments, it’s due to small disagreements, not miscommunication. I love how the work through there problems together, no matter how big or small.
Additionally, this man is the biggest green flag. He is so sweet and understanding. He always puts the FMC first, and uses her thoughts and emotions to make decisions. He respects her boundaries, even when it drives him insane. This couple may now be my favorite book couple.
This book is perfect if you want a cozy romance read. While there is smut, it doesn’t seem over exaggerated or excessive as it can be in some other books. This is a short, cozy read that is perfect for adults everywhere.
strangers to friends to lovers Dual POV NFL x lit professor Sports romance
Blurb Griffin is an NFL superstar, beginning a new season on a new team after an injury led his previous one to drop him. He knows he's nearing the end of his career and is determined to finish this season with no distractions. Brynn, an English lit professor, feels stuck in a dead-end relationship in a city she hates. When they literally collide, a friendship blooms and grows into something more.
Review Griffin and Brynn’s story is so cute. One thing I really appreciated in the story was how Griffin contrasted with Brynn’s ex without even knowing; it really helped highlight how great of a guy he was for Brynn. I loved how Brynn and Griffin became best friends before they became lovers and how that carried over into their relationship. This book gave such a good example of what a healthy relationship is and can do for both parties; it helped build Brynn’s confidence and independence and showed that, with the right person, you can be your most authentic self. It also shied away from some of the general tropes of the genre; where there was a chance of miscommunication or the third act breakup, the characters confronted the issue head on, which again, just demonstrated what a healthy relationship should do. I'm really looking forward to reading the other brothers’ stories next!
If you’re looking for a spicy sports romance that’s witty and sweet with a book boyfriend that will make you swoon, you’ve come to the right place! This was my first book by Brandy and it definitely won’t be my last! I already can’t wait for the next books in the series. The Lacey Bros have got my attention, that’s for sure.
Brynn Nelson is a quiet English Lit professor and closet fantasy writer who uprooted her whole life for a guy that doesn’t deserve or appreciate her. All that changes when she, quite literally, crashes into NFL veteran Griffin Lacey and they find their lives more intertwined than they thought.
The Check Down was one of the best friends to lovers, unexpected roommates, spicy sports romances I’ve read to date. The spice was not overdone but definitely had enough oomph to put some red in your cheeks. What’s more is that it was a breath of fresh air in the non toxic adult relationship department with no third act break up and good communication throughout. They had me rooting for them from the first chapter.
Thank you to Brandy Pelletier for this ARC! I’ll definitely be heavily recommending this book and I’ll be on the lookout for the next books in the series!
The Check Down is book one in the Lacey Bros series, following Griffin Lacey and Brynn Nelson. This is a sweet, heartfelt, and spicy story and I loved every second of it. The spice was slow burn but it was perfect for the storyline, and the chemistry, pining, and banter more than made up for the wait.
Our man Griffin Lacey is a top tier book boyfriend. Holy moly. He is thoughtful, attentive, communicative, silly and playful, so giving, so delicious. He does and says the sweetest, most swoonworthy things and is absolutely perfect for Brynn. I will never get enough of him. I loved Brynn too, though there were a couple moments where I wanted to shake her and tell her to just stop and communicate.
The side characters were perfect too. Beau and Paige are adorable, and I loved Griffin’s and Brynn’s families. I am already obsessed with the Lacey boys and I cannot wait to hear all of their stories (especially Shaw’s; I have a feeling his will hurt).
A huge thank you to author Brandy Pelletier for the ARC opportunity. I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us next with the Lacey Bros!
I had the absolute HONOR of being an ARC reader for this book, but my thoughts and opinions are my own.
Brandy writes characters in such a way that makes you feel like you’ve known them forever. They feel complete somehow.
Griffin Lacey is a walking green flag. He’s the definition of a golden retriever boyfriend and surpassed the title of book boyfriend and moved straight to book husband. The way he cares for Brynn is beautiful. With small subtle things and loud for-the-world-to-see actions.
Brynn was very relatable. She starts being unsure about herself and blooms into a confident woman who goes after what she wants. She was an absolute joy to watch grow. It did bother me just a bit toward the end when an old picture of Griffin and an ex was posted that she didn’t have more faith in him. He was nothing but devout to her, and her insecurities from past relationships showed their ugly heads.
This book had my emotions all over the place and I kept wanting MORE. I did love that there was no third act break up, but there were some conflict that we got to see them work through.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Thank you so much to the author for the opportunity to read this ARC!
I genuinely LOVED this book! The busyness of life lately had put me in a bit of a reading slump and this book pulled me out of it. I couldn’t wait to read more of Griffin and Brynn’s story any free moment I had.
I loved the build up and thought their romance was so sweet. Griffin’s respect and love for her was 😍🤩 I also loved all the football references since that is my favorite sport; Brandy did a great job making a fictional NFL team believable. (My daughter is also named Brynn so I am biased that that is a great name for a FMC 😉)
I’ve enjoyed Brandy’s first two books but *this* one was my favorite so far. I think she’s hitting her stride as an author.
There is swearing and spice in this book so if that’s not your thing maybe skip it but if you don’t mind that, I recommend this one. ☺️
Thank you again for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!
I received an eARC of this book (Thank You, Brandy Pellitier), and here are my honest thoughts!
Brandy Pellitier's The Check Down is a lovely romantic comedy that will have you swooning! It follows the love story of Brynn and Griffin, who discover their connection in the most unexpected locations.
Here's what I enjoyed about it: Brynn and Griffin are incredibly relatable and simple to root for. Their chemistry is wonderful, and seeing their friendship turn into love is heartwarming.
The novel runs smoothly, with just the appropriate amount of humor, drama, and romance.
The chemistry between Brynn and Griffin is evident, and their love scenes are passionate and touching.
The supporting characters, especially Griffin's friends and family, give complexity and humor to the plot. This book was a delightful read for me! The Ice cream scene and the shower scene??😍😍 And I also loved the Cover😘
If you love “You know how to Ball, I Know Aristotle”, this book is for you! Releasing on November 8th 💙🏈📚
I am a sap for happily ever afters! The Check Down did just that and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to be one of the select ARC Reviewers, thank you Brandy Pelletier!
Griffin Lacey, once a player with the ladies, became focused on his career with a second chance from the Memphis Blues. Griffin was determined to keep football his primary focus and recover from the down fall of his previous season. Little did he know that the day Brynn Nelson crashed into him would be the day all that went out the window.
This story is a cute football hunk, fallen in love with a girl who is about to discover her worth. It has small hometown vibes, flirty and spicy moments, and that cozy make you fall in love with the characters vibe. You won't want to put it down!
I’ve had the pleasure of ARC reading all of Brandy’s books. Thank you, Brandy for the opportunity. My review is my own.
I can proudly say, she has yet to fail me. I’m a dark romance girly 4 life, but I will always put down my masked men, for a man written by Brandy.
The Check Down is a light, fluffy romance between an extroverted football player, and an introverted English Lit professor.
I giggled, my heart sunk a few times, and a swoooooned.
I absolutely devoured this book. Griff is kind hearted, sweet and absolutely delicious. Brynn was far from annoying (I always tend to find FMC annoying) but she is a nerd, with the coolest set of parents.
The Check Down is on my 10 ten books of the year. I absolutely love it and fell in love with not only the main characters but also the side characters. It’s beautifully written!! I can’t wait for everyone to read this book. From strangers, to friends, to lovers. A truly amazing love story and the spicy scenes were also a hit! I can’t wait to buy a physical copy for my Library collection.
I can’t wait for the Lacy boys series, I’m in love! The author is an amazing writer and really makes you fall in love with the story!
This is the best sports romance book I’ve read to date. Both of the main characters were relatable, despite one of them being an NFL superstar, and their love felt so genuine. I loved all of the little ways Griffin showed Brynn that he loved her, how she always showed up for him, whether physically or emotionally, and how emotionally mature Griffin was in times of conflict. I will be thinking of Griffin and Brynn for a long time to come, and I hope we get to read Tucker and/or Shaw’s love story next.
This might just be my new favorite sports romance!!! I loved every bit of this slow burn, spicy, friends to lovers, NFL tight end MMC x English teacher FMC romance!! The chemistry and banter between Brynn and Griffin had me turning the page not wanting to put the book down. There was so much to love about this book; the magical Memphis tour dates, Brynn’s quirky parents, Griffin’s relationship with his family and the tiny hidden dragons just to name a few. This is definitely a fun, faced past sports romance you won’t want to put down.
This book is amazing!! This needs to be in your to read list like yesterday! These characters are hands down my favorite!!! I won’t say my favorite parts, because I don’t want to ruin it for you…but seriously you won’t regret a single second of this book!! I have been in a hockey era for years, but this book has just opened the door for some football….and some men with the last name Lacey.
This is the first in its series, and I for one can’t wait to see where this author takes us for the rest of the series!!!
The Check Down by Brandy Pelletier is a football romance. This is a romance where our characters find their true love in an organic way. The book is full of hilarity and growth. Personally I connected with Brynn the most. The idea that making friends as an adult, especially an adult thrust into a new situation resonated so deeply it's a tad sad. Yet her lonely existence starts to turn around with a serendipitous car accident. Odd but true. Griffin Lacey is a man I would love to meet in person. Seriously the combination of sexy, sweet, jealous, and above all hilarious. Personally I will be checking out more by Brandy Pelletier because her characters are amazing and the organic love story in this book has convinced me to read more from her to see the other stories that exist in her mind.
I absolutely loved Griffen and Brynn’s story! I was so hooked from the start to find out how such a rough start was going to turn into something more and it did not disappoint! Brynn needed to find herself in a city she didn’t have anyone in and Griffen needed to prove to himself that sometimes you don’t need to focus on just one thing. Their love story was one of my favorites to read and I cannot wait to read more!
Wow! This book exceeded all my expectations. As someone who isn’t typically into football, I found myself completely captivated.
It’s downright hilarious! The banter between Griffin and Brynn is spot-on, and I couldn’t put it down. Brandy’s writing made you feel like you were living their story!
The way Griffin and Brynn genuinely care for one another is beautifully portrayed throughout the book. Griffin is not only funny and romantic but also a devoted athlete who worships Brynn and the ground she walks on. Brynn is relatable, intelligent, and incredibly caring. Reading how they grew together as a couple was an awesome journey!
Brandy Pelletier delivers a well written football romance. The plot is well developed, and the characters are so relatable and likeable.
I am such a fan of football romances, and this book had everything I love, a swoony male character and female character who was determined to move on from a relationship that wasn't going anywhere. Brynn seemed to be smitten with Griffin from the movement she first encountered him, and a bond seemed to form between them, I enjoyed reading whether this bond went anywhere other than a strong friendship.
This book was a delightful, somewhat steamy rom-com. Griff was simply amazing. I love when the guy falls first and works hard to make the woman realize she’s in love too. The friends-to-lovers trope is a favorite of mine, and "The Check Down" did not disappoint. The plot was engaging, and the story was heartwarming. I’m especially eager to learn more about Griffin's brothers in future books. A definite must-read!
I READ THIS BOOK IN LESS THAN 8 HOURS. It was so beautiful how Griffin & Brynn walk into love together. Griffin is the ultimate book boyfriend. He is patient, he is loving, he lets Brynn be who she wants to be and supports her immensely. I actually cried at the end of this book. I cannot wait to see more of the Lacey boys!!!
