Dylan McBride is desperate to protect his wife and child from The Fallen. He'll stop at nothing to keep them safe, even if it means killing his father. ”It’s complicated” is an understatement in What The Heart Desires! More secrets are revealed and life becomes more complicated in Layne, Heaven and Dylan's lives. These secrets rock the boat for everyone involved, not just the main 3 characters but for those that are connected to the 3. Heaven and Dylan's relationship is tested and put on the line.

For me, this book was the best by far and I eagerly await the next one to get the answers I need!! The characters have a great fullness to them and are quite realistic. It's been great to see them develop and tackle their issues and I have every confidence things will be righted again.

What the Heart Desires
by Kelli McCracken
Release Date October 28, 2014

After reading What the Heart Takes, Book Three in the Soulmate Series, I honestly didn't think that Kelli could make these books any better. That book just amazed me. Well, color me wrong. Kelli blew my mind with this book. Amazing, Incredible and simply Fantastic. I cannot begin to tell you how much I truly loved this book to give it justice.

This book starts where What the Heart Takes left off. In this book there is so much happening with not only our main three characters of Layne, Heaven and Dylan. But we are introduced to new and old characters a like.

We learn more of Heaven and Layne’s true connection and not what they have been led to believe. Hope and Faith reveal and are given revelations that we didn't know before. The road is not easy for any of our favorite characters. Let’s not forget that Heaven is about ready to give birth to her and Dylan’s first child.

Many twists and turns keep you engrossed and enthralled in this world that Kelli has created for us. She pulls us in once again and we better buckle up because the road ahead is full of shocks, surprises, and she lights us on fire with the heat and passion between her characters.

This is one book I will definitely read over and over again and order the hard copy of it to put in my library permanently along with the rest of this series. I hope Kelli never ends this series as the characters have become part of my family. A true Author is able to pull you in and weave their story around you and make it part of you. Kelli is one of those Authors.

I rate this book highly and unfortunately I can only give it five starts because if I could I would give it more and more. This is a book that needs to be added to your TBR list immediately. If you haven’t read the books in the series then please read them and enjoy this series as I have. I can’t wait to see where Kelli takes us next I know one thing for sure What my Heart Desires is more Soulmate Series and Kelli McCracken.

What the Heart Desires is book four in Kelli McCracken's Soulmate series and this book is the best one of the series to date. I couldn't put this book down. Where I struggled with book one, and book gradually engaged me, things have really taken off with books three and four. But like I said...book four is the best one thus far and I can't wait for the next book in this series.
What the Heart Desires picks up where things left off and only gets more intense. Dylan has been told the truth, but he doesn't want to believe it. His marriage to Heaven...wasn't fully done and so it's null and void in the eyes of the law. But instead of revealing the truth to Heaven...Dylan continues his game of keeping secrets and thinking he's doing the "right" thing. They have a beautiful daughter, and the author puts it all out there for everything that Heaven has to go through in the delivery process. The relationship between Heaven and Layne continues to grow and deepen. Things go to another level with them, and then more secrets come to light and bring with them a groundbreaking truth that had my jaw on the floor. Let me just say that the author isn't really pulling any punches with this book.
While this story is focused on Dylan, Layne and Heaven...they aren't the only ones that the author casts some light on. Faith and Hope have their moments in this book as well, and I'm honestly eager to see how everything plays out and comes together. Things are so crazy and I have to admit...that for the most part...I'm loving every bit of it.
My only issue with this book...Dylan...and Heaven a little bit, too. I need/want her to have a bit more of a backbone. When things get ugly...again, between her and Dylan...I'm disappointed that the author doesn't even let her have a knee-jerk reaction to him when he says something truly vile. I expected her...or SOMEONE to slap the living daylights out of him, but she just takes it. Honestly, I'm tired of Dylan. His insecurities and hiding things from Heaven just drain me. He's so "afraid" of everything but not willing to take that step to try and bring them closer together. This guy has more secrets than a spy at the rate that he's going. For me, he just shows just how fragile and untrustworthy he thinks Heaven is. So if he loses her...I won't cry about it or feel sorry for him. I also need the author to use more than just "bottom" to describe Heaven's butt. That word really just became redundant in usage. Especially when the author shows that she can use other words than that later in the book.
Prepare yourself for another intense cliffhanger with this book! I'm on the edge of my seat to learn what happens next. Things are so crazy and I know that it's going to take something big to save them all.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. It was so good!! I can't wait for more.

I think this book just ruined me. This book is INTENSE. the raw emotion leaves you breathless and the cliffhanger at the end left a pit of dread in my stomach. Poor Heaven, Dylan, and Layne can’t get a break from Nate. And Nate has no qualms about ruining their lives to get what he wants. But getting what he wants won’t come easy. Their families are fighting back, and they’ll die before they let anything happen to Heaven. But Nate has some powerful people on his side. And he’s sneaky enough to ensure he has seemingly no part in what’s going on. But when Nates actions cause some collateral damage that effects their relationship in general, Dylan makes some bad choices out of jealousy and fear. And everything they’ve all done amounts to one epic ending that leaves you breathless. I can’t wait for the next book!

Well, What the Heart Desires is another great hit for this series. I would highly recommend reading this series in order.

That being said we have Dylan, Heaven and Layne are just trying to figure out their new roles and how they are going to play it. Also they are awaiting the arrival of Heaven's baby. They need to get everything figured out soon because the baby is coming. Lots of secrets come out, is this group strong enough to handle everything that comes their way?

Wow guys, once again Kelli does a great job with this series, on the writing style, the pace and the characters. The pace is fast, the characters are interesting, especially with the introduction of more. I was hooked, and I know that you will be too.

Can we please talk about that ending! I mean talk about a cliffhanger ending! Heaven, Dylan, and Layne have been dragged through the wringer from the start, and the hits just keep coming no matter what they do.

Book four in the Soulmate series starts off pretty much where book three ended. Heaven is pregnant, Layne's powers are getting strong and Dylan still fears he will lose his wife to his best friend.

There are so many twists and turns along the way in this story and it's one hell of a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. Including the reappearance of a character, I didn't think we would see again. Can't wait to read book five to find out exactly what happens after that ending.

This is the fourth book in the series, and I am still enjoying the plot and the characters. I, however, am still a little put off by the behavior of a certain character. LOL! I don’t want to say too much and spoil things, but Dylan sometimes gets to me. Thankfully, he wasn’t as prevalent in this one as in the previous one where he really irritated me. But, you know, that the author can make me feel this way is a testament to her skills which are excellent, BTW. I’m also a little ticked off at all the secrets that are still being kept. It’s killing me! LOL! This latest is a well-written addition to the series, and after that ending, I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I absolutely adored the relationships in this forth book of the series. Heaven, Dylan and Layne have a dynamic that I found intriguing and in this book, things got heated, both good and bad. There is so many feelings that this book gives and I was blown away at how addictive it is to be a fly on the wall with these three. There's new revelations, twists and turns. I am fully invested in this series and after that absolutely shocking cliffhanger... I need more! My heart stopped in this book! What a magical world to travel, with a storyline that is so intricately done and characters that grip your heart with iron hands!

Dylan will stop at nothing to protect his wife and their child together, but there’s more than just his father and his followers that threaten their relationship. Heaven and Layne have gotten closer and learning more about their special bond. Can both Dylan and Layne deal with the fact that Heaven loves them both? Lots of emotion I felt in this story especially with the protection of Heaven with her daughter. That’s something I feel with my kid. Anxious to see what’ll happen in the next story.

I absolutely cannot wait to see what's next in this brilliant series. The struggle is very, very real in this one. Our main characters deal with hits from all sides and some within their circle. Secrets slowly reveal themselves, prophecies hidden come to light, and tons of action all happen within these pages. Love truly burns bright, but is it like a phoenix or will it cause true destruction? I love the complex relationships and character development in this series, and greatly look forward to the next book!

Fantastic series, this book was actioned packed. So much happens in such a short period of time.
It’s well written with a well thought out storyline that’s very unique, I loved the twists and suspense through the book.
Love the love triangle that’s happening, the action and fighting is also great.
Love finding out what amazing powers the new characters have, some are quite amazing.
This book really pulls at your heart strings, with true love and soul mates, so many withheld truths and lots of uncertainty - overall a great book.

This series is just fantabulous and keeps getting better and better with each book! The story continues to progress and is so emotional with heartache and betrayal. There’s so much going on with each of our trio, add in family and more characters old and new and you have a book you will not be able to put down. From the very start I have really enjoyed this series and the heat has been turned all the way up and that ending!!! OMG!

What the Heart Desires by Kelli McCraken is the 4th book in the Soulmate Series and continues the saga of Dylan and his now wife Heaven. Dylan has what should make most people completely happy, Heaven, his child...but there are threats and secrets waiting to snatch it all away. Add to that the growing closeness and bond with her Keeper Layne and this is yet another thrilling installment to this series, really can't wait for the next look into this world!!!

This book kept me intrigued from start to finish! Heaven and her soulmate/husband Dylan and her Keeper/best friend Layne are a part of something much bigger than they ever could have imagined. Now there is a baby involved as well as all of their families. Will Heaven and her men be able to save each other and humanity at the same time? Time will tell! So bingeworthy!

Oh what a love triangle , what a web the parents doth weave. Poor Heaven torn in her emotions between two men, one willing to share and one not! If they can't figure it out will the lose her with all their infighting? There is quite a lot of action in this story but also a lot of emotional ups and downs. With one book to go it will be interesting to see how it turns out

I didn't think this series could get better after the last few books, but this book is amazing. There are so many twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat and keep you wanting more when it is finished. I love how conflicted the characters are as they are all trying to do the right thing. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

No one can fight what the heart desires
I must admit i said a naughty word with the book ending as it did! The book as a whole is really good, so many twists and turns, plenty of shocks as the plot unfolds and the relationships between the characters develop and change. The ending is a shocker, i must admit there was no way i saw that one coming! Waiting anxiously for the next one .....

What a roller coaster but I loved every moment of it!!

I love the dynamic between Heaven, Dylan and Layne! Still trying to survive Dylan's father, Nate, the trio is constantly looking over their shoulder and running. At the same time they are still trying to find out the truth and sort through all of the secrets.

Can they survive what is coming next?? I can't wait to see what happens next!

This was my favorite of the series so far! It was definitely a page turner with lots of twists and turns, heated moments, and a baby! We learn even more about the connection between Layne and Heaven. We see Heaven and Dylan become parents. There is just so much in What the Heart Desires that my jaw dropped multiple times. I can't wait for book 5!

This was a good read, the fourth in the series and never a dull moment, There is a lot going on with these characters, we see some new faces and some familiar ones. More information is revealed for Heaven and the others and while some answers are given, things are no less complicated. This is an entertaining series with great flow and development.

Gosh this series just gets better. I love the dynamic between Heaven, Dylan and Layne, it’s deep and beautiful and a little dark at times. The series still manages to throw curve balls and surprises even though it’s deep into book four. You really need to start this series if you haven’t! It’s lovely and heartwarming with a bit of drama thrown in!

It's a story I think is written well, BUT, it is not suited for me. The angst between the characters is anxiety inducing to me. It's simply not for me. If there was this much between the characters, I don't think there should have been a marriage in book 2. Here we are in book 4, and we have the same problems we started with.

I love what Kelli did here. It is a fantastic book and so well written. The heartache and drama are so real and it's giving me all the feels for the caracters. I hope things will turn out. This book picks up where What the Heart wants. Also start with book 1 since this is a series. I don't want to give away too much spoilers. I can't wait to read the final installment.

Three stars!!

Just like the others, I liked this story. The paranormal twists are exciting, and the characters are entertaining. However, like the other stories, the endings, or lack thereof, is annoying, and needs more and better sex scenes.
