Some mistakes are worth repeating…

Tasha Riordan's one night with Luc Bradshaw was the best of her life. The following two--when he left her to be thrown into a Bahamian jail on bogus charges--were her worst. Now, seven years later, the undercover DEA agent is back. Invading her town. Her restaurant. Her fantasies. She can't trust a man who lied to her. Yet neither can she trust herself--not when their chemistry burns even hotter than before.

Learning he has two half brothers shocks Luc. Discovering they live in the same town as Tasha--that's a different kind of thrill. Their mutual lust is still off the charts, but he can't get her to listen to his side of what happened on that long-ago night. Good thing he's got powers of persuasion that go deeper than words. Because nothing has ever felt this right….

I grew up in a household with two brothers, a daddy, and my grandfather. Too many men, in other words. They diluted M'ma's influence by diverting my attention to things like the danger of answering nature's call in the dead of the night. I've got a hint for those of you raised in a less spit-and-scratch world: check before you sit, because chances are that seat is gonna be up. And they don't even have the grace to be embarrassed about it. According to my sweet baby boy, if you're the minority sex in the household, you oughtta be putting it up for them. Sigh.

Having brothers was a mixed bag. When anybody messed with me they were always quick with an offer to beat them up. That was sorta nice, although I personally believe it had more to do with the fact that guys just like to fight than with any towering concern for my welfare. You might think that's cynical but guess who the target was if no one else was around and they were tired of fighting each other? I must've spent half my childhood locked in the bathroom, screaming, "Dad's gonna get you when he gets home." I know, I know, nobody likes a stoolie. But it was either that or have my block knocked off on a regular basis, and trust me, Daddy was the best deterrent going.

A smart woman probably would've gone away to an all-girl school or moved in with some girlfriends at the first opportunity. Me, I got married to my high school sweetie. And the tradition continues. Our only kid (who hasn't been a kid for quite some time now) is the aforementioned sweet baby boy, and except for an Irish setter we had for eleven years a long time ago, even our pets have all been male. I just try to stay afloat whenever I find myself in the deep end of the testosterone pool, and if you don't think that isn't a trial sometimes, I'm here to tell you- it can be hell.

Then again, it can also be heaven. In fact, it mostly is. But listen, don't tell my guys I 'fessed up to that, okay? Trust me, it's difficult enough already, just trying to stay one step ahead of the game.

My Review:
This is one of those books that was simply fun to read. It starts out with that morning after in the Bahamas where everything went from fantasy-worthy perfect to every tourists nightmare for Tasha. She never thought she'd see the drug-dealing "Diego" again, so imagine her surprise when she walked into her friends house only be introduced to their brother Luc...the man who was "Diego" and left her to rot in a Bahamian jail.

Luc was actually an undercover DEA agent and he was assured that Tasha in no way got caught up in that mess. In fact, he's always thought she ran out on him that morning after a night that he thought had been pretty incredible. So there's a whole mystery of what really happened in the Bahamas seven years ago playing in the background of the story throughout the entire book.

But now these two have to get along because her two best friends are involved with his half-brothers and they are constantly being thrown together. Tasha doesn't trust him to not break her heart. He's going back to an undercover job in the DEA...there's no way for their chemistry to end up as anything more than heartache.

It's a good set-up and I did really enjoy the book. I liked all the characters and the interactions between everyone. Tasha runs a pizza parlor and there was a sub-story about a couple of teens that was a nice sub-plot too. The book and story kept me entertained and engaged the entire time I read it.

I'd definitely recommend this one for a light, fun read.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Tasha Riordan's one night stand lands her in jail…in the Bahamas…for drug trafficking. Turns out the man she knew as Diego wasn't the only hot thing in the room. After two terrifying days she is released and sent back to America vowing to never lose control like that again. Seven years later she walks into her bestfriend's kitchen to see Diego passing the potatoes at the table. Diego, who is really known as Luc Bradshaw, is an undercover DEA agent and even though he was on R & R when he invited Tasha back to his hotel room, he was still technically on assignment. Thus begins a story filled with white lies, feelings of betrayal, and a rest of the book that never lived up to the fast paced exciting first two chapters.

The biggest problem I had was the main characters did not have a lot of interaction and when they did it started off as great fiery banter that slowly veered into unfunny vitriol. Tasha snaps and snaps at Luc to the point you wonder if his bedroom skills are worth it for her and Luc's feelings of lust never seem to develop into something more; towards the end I really just wanted these two to go their separate ways.

This is third in a series but can definitely be read as a standalone. Characters from book one and two get a lot of screen time, so if you read the previous books maybe you would enjoy revisiting them but for others that haven't, it could feel like just a lot of needless filler. There is also a mini secondary couple followed throughout the story involving a recovering troubled teen boy and struggling with family issues teen girl. Their story, interaction, and attraction to each other felt more real to me as they actually communicated and developed a relationship. I found myself way more invested in them towards the end of the story.

This had such a promising explosive beginning with characters that seemed to sizzle with chemistry, unfortunately, a lot tiring scenes followed. Secondary characters needed to be pushed to the side to make room for our main couple and the story should have been heavily edited; it read like a director's cut of a Peter Jackson film. Susan Andersen usually writes great banter between leads and steadfast paced books, this one, however, missed the mark for me.

This is the 3rd book of the Razor Bay Series and, by far, the best. I love Susan Andersen but this series has been painful. The first two books were duds, but this one shows signs of the Susan Andersen I know and love, humor, romance and a touch of mystery - great stuff.

Tasha is a strawberry-blonde. Sometimes you get the ditzy personality of a blonde and sometimes you get the she-devil red. Tasha is definitely a she-devil red personality. Although she strives to contain that part of her personality and everyone perceives her as a kindhearted, competent businesswoman who sets goals and achieves them. When Luc Bradshaw reenters her life it is with the force of an atomic bomb, blowing her content, structured life to smithereens and bringing back awful memories of a time she has locked up and buried deep down.

Luc is another half brother to Jake and Max. We met him briefly at the end of Some Like It Hot. What we didn't know was that he was Tasha's deep, dark secret. Luc is a DEA agent and while on some personal R&R in the Bahamas seven years ago, he hooked up with Tasha and rocked both their worlds. He was call away and the Bahamian police raided their room, found heroin and arrested Tasha. Luc never knew, his boss assured him Tasha would be taken care of.

Coming face to face with Luc, brings out some very passionate and some horrid memories and an awful lot of pissed off attitude. Luc tries to explain and Tasha just doesn't want to hear it. Fortunately, Luc is bent on making her listen and also bent on reigniting the off the charts passion they had in the Bahamas. He is also determined to find out what actually happened and why his boss lied to him.

For a long time nothing seemed to happen in the book except mundane life stuff and I just could never click with the characters. The heroine held out for pretty long and the hero's boss was weird. Overall just an average read though I would have liked reading more about the teenagers Jeremy and Peyton.

The book starts seven years ago. Tasha is 22 years old and spending her vacation on a island in the Bahamas. That's where she met Diego. He's the hottest guy she's ever met and she just spent the perfect sexy night with him.
But unfortunately he has to leave for work and she is left behind in his cabin. Where she is then being arrested as Diego's accomplice in a drug deal!!!! o.O She has to spend to horrible nights in jail before she's released!

Seven years later Tasha is the proud owner of a Pizza restaurant in Razor Bay, Washington.
Then one day, her girlfriends Jenny and Harper invite her to a dinner to introduce her to their boyfriends' new-found, long lost half-brother Luc.
Turns out Diego wasn't really the drug-dealing criminal she thought he was.
He's actually a DEA undercover agent named Luc Bradshaw.
But that still doesn't make her forget the two most horrible nights of her life - the two nights she spent in that dark prison cell!

Luc tries everything to get back on her good side again - but she's making it extremely hard.
There's still this huge sexual attraction between them, but whenever she sees him, Tasha is always reminded of those two days in hell. But she's also being reminded of this one, most perfect night of her life.

SO, WHAT WILL SHE DO???
WILL THE TWO OF THEM GET THEIR HEA???

I'm not telling you that of course!! GO READ IT!☺☺☺

I REALLY ENJOYED THE BOOK!

I'm normally not a fan of stories with side-stories in them.
We have the main story about Tasha and Luc, but we also have a little side thingy about Tasha's teenage employees Jeremy and Peyton. But I really enjoyed reading about them. Adorable.

The whole book was the perfect sexy, romantic & funny beach-read!!!!

We have this sexy dark mysterious half-Latino government agent: LUC
and this strawberry blonde, tough & sweet Pizza Place owner: TASHA
plus LOTS of other characters we all fall in love with....

Unfortunately you kind of get the feeling that the stories of Luc's brothers have been told by Susan in previous books, but it didn't bother me all that much, and this book doesn't say anything about being part of a series, so it was ok. But if you want to read the books about how Luc's brothers Jake & Max found their happy ever afters, you can read the RAZOR BAY SERIES ☺
Normally I don't like it when I missed two books - and those are literally the only two Susan books that I haven't read. It would've been nice of the publisher - or Susan - to mention the Razor Bay Series connection somewhere. Why isn't this book #3 of this series??? Very confusing.
But you can totally read NO STRINGS ATTACHED without having read the other two books. But I always like having read everything, and that I didn't know there's a connection, just bothered me a tiny little bit :(((

BUT - all ^^^^ that doesn't change the fact that I really enjoyed reading this book.

If you love Susan Andersen books - like I do - you will love this one as well!!!

IT REALLY WAS THE PERFECT SUMMER ROMANCE ☺

with lots of romantic & sexy & funny & frustrating and moving scenes!!! ☺☺☺

No Strings Attached (Hqn)
By Susan Andersen
HQN
August 2014

Seven years ago, while she was on vacation in the Bahamas, Tasha Riordan had a two-day marathon sex-capade with a tall, dark, and extremely gifted hunk named Diego. The day she was due to catch a plane back to the states, but Diego pleads for one more night, and she agrees. He gets a phone call from his boss and has to leave, but promises he’ll be back quickly. Minutes after he leaves their bungalow, Tasha is arrested and spends the next two days in jail on a drug charge.

Luc Bradshaw is living in Razor Bay and getting to know the two half-brothers he did not know existed – Jake and Max. Luc is a DEA agent taking a break from his duties. Jake is getting married soon to Jenny Salazar, and Jenny has spoken many times of her best friend “Tasha.” Luc finds out that “Tasha” is also his Tasha that disappeared from his life as quickly as she appeared, and man alive, she is looking fine. However, when she sees Luc she glares at him as if he is the devil incarnate.

Tasha owns Bella T’s, a pizzeria, and hasn’t had a vacation in seven years – and look how that turned out. Needless to say when she arrives late at a party given for Jake and Jenny, Tasha is totally unprepared to see Diego NoLastName sitting at the table. This just cannot be happening! Not only is he the new Bradshaw son, she rented him a room over her pizzeria through a newspaper ad.

NO STRINGS ATTACHED is red-hot and rolling. The lucky reader can only sit back and enjoy seeing a macho man brought to his knees by a woman done wrong. Neither Tasha nor Luc knew what happened to the other; Tasha thought he was a drug dealer leaving her to be arrested. Luc thought Tasha skipped out on her promise to stay. Both of them vividly remember their time together, and there just might be some sparks left in the smoldering flame.

Susan Andersen hits the bull’s eye again with a perfect score for characterization, dialogue, perfect pitch and pace, and clever plot points. All the Bradshaw’s and their friends and families are gathered together for a wedding and to say hello to us, their faithful fans. NO STRINGS ATTACHED is pure enjoyable entertainment.

It’s been a while since I read a book by Susan Anderson and “No Strings Attached” was refreshing and a nice read.

Tasha and Luc, two strangers meet in the Bahamas and end up spending time together. Unfortunately with Luc working undercover as DEA and an unfortunate twist of events lands Tasha in the Bahamian jail for a couple of days and Luc is incognito.

Fast-forward seven years and call it fate, Luc and Tasha end up seeing each other at Luc’s half brothers’ home. Seven years apart has not dimmed the feelings that Luc has for Tasha. And Tasha still carries the hurt and painful memories of those two days and having been deserted by Luc.

As much as she tries to stay away from Luc, her silly heart plays a different tune. Tasha is one strong woman who does not let her past dictate her mind and courageously moves forward with her life despite the trauma of those two nights in jail. As much as she is dogged by nightmares, she doesn’t let them weaken her as a person and become a victim.

Luc is tenacious in trying to get to the bottom of what had happened seven years ago. When the truth comes out, with guilt and pain, he tries to make amends. Knowing that he was not responsible for what had happened to Tasha seven years ago, does not make him feel any better and his persistence finally breaks the walls around Tasha’s heart.

No Strings Attached is a sweet story of two people finding themselves again, and rebuilding a life of love and trust.

This is the third book in the Razor Bay series and it opens with a bang. Right from the first word the hot chemistry between Tasha and the man she knows as Diego burns up the pages, until he takes off and she ends up in jail for possessing drugs that were obviously Diego's.

Years later Tasha meets him again and is shocked to discover he is the third Bradshaw brother,Luc. The other two brothers are with her best friends so this has awkward all over it. Even when Luc explains what happened and that he is not a criminal, Tasha can't forgive him. Luc realizes that he has never gotten over her and realizes that he needs to make things right somehow.

This is a great wrap up to the series, unless another brother pops up. I enjoyed the first two books and this one is the perfect ending. Tasha is a great character, strong, competent, and lonely. Luc is a guy who met the girl for him but life interfered and now he has to work to get her back. There is also the whole theme of the three brothers who only recently discovered each other that adds another dimension to the story. The themes of developing trust and emotional bonds plays on many levels throughout this book. This is a wonderful summer read!

Review featured on www.books-n-kisses.com

This was a very intense romance with so many ups and downs. And what a great roller coaster it was. I truly loved the connection between Luc and Tasha. Maybe because the connection starts off with them as a couple (for lack of a better word) and then jumps to when they see each other again. I also really enjoy the connection of the brothers. There is just something undeniably sweet about these Bradshaw boys.

The story did get a little wordy at times and repeated a bunch of itself. And if you read the series from the beginning it went over the same things that the first couple went over but since it can be read as a stand alone I understand but it did make it wordy.

I hope this is not the last in the series since I really enjoy the town and the people in it but can’t imagine who else they could bring in. I would suggests reading all the books in the series because once you meet one Bradshaw boy you will want to meet all of them and you might as well get them in order.

I absolutely loved this story between Tasha & Luc - No Strings Attached by Susan Andersen. This is the third book of her Razor Bay series & the Bradshaw half-brothers & has become my favorite. In this book we get to know more about Tasha & her past. It seems seven years prior, after a delightful couple of days on a carribbean island with Diego, who is suddenly called away, Tasha is arrested and spends two days in a hell-hole jail for a crime that she did not commit. Now we go forward in time to today & Tasha learns that Diego is actually Luc Bradshaw, half-brother to Max & Jake, and a DEA agent. I love the interaction between these two strong characters who learn much about themselves and their world during this story. The fact that they have off the charts chemistry makes this story ever so HOT once Tasha and Luc get together in a "no strings attached: relationship - or so Tasha thinks it is. This is an outstanding story & a must read - especially for all the Susan Andersen fans out there. Although this book is the third of a series, it is a stand alone story. Go found yourself a copy & get reading!!

Susan Andersen has been a long-time favorite. The circumstances behind the romance were dark and edgy, but the book was rather light. The heroine was strong and stood up for herself, plus the details of their long-ago assignation and her subsequent arrest were dealt with very well. That isn't the kind of thing one would just get over. Tasha didn't let go of it right away, and that felt very real to me.

Luc's place with his family wasn't as secure as he'd like it, since he'd just met his two half-brothers. That also felt authentic.

They had chemistry in spades that really came across well.

The secondary romance between two teens who worked for Tasha was sweet and added additional depth to the story.

I had some frustrations - mainly in how Luc acted when he first found out the truth about Tasha's incarceration - but overall it was a good story.

This third in the Razor's Bay series was a disappointment. I've loved Ms Andersen's previous novels, and I own 16 of them. This one, however, does not meet her "gold standard" as found in her Marine series or the Showgirls duo.

I could not connect with the character, Tasha, and while the storyline was good, it seemed to drag in a number of places. Perhaps better editing would have helped the pace. I found I liked the interaction between two minor characters-Jeremy and Peyton- as much as I did between Tasha and Luc.

It seemed as if the time element....how much time had elapsed between various incidents...was hard for me to follow.

I hope Ms Andersen finds the "magic" of her earlier novels.

"Andersen’s latest is a sexy read. Her expert storytelling, natural dialogue and steady pacing will draw readers into the story of the charming Luc and strong-willed Tasha. Their banter is infectious, and the tension between them is heated, yet tender. Warm, genuine characters set within a well-developed plot make this story entertaining" (RT Book Reviews). 4 stars

Very good second chance story with some fun moments. It starts with a hot vacation fling between Tasha and "Diego". Things are looking great when he's called away by his boss, after asking her to stay a few extra days. Right after he leaves, his room is raided by the Bahamian police and she's tossed in jail for two days on drug charges. She's convinced she was set up by a drug dealer.

Seven years later, she finds "Diego" visiting her best friend's fiance, claiming to be his half-brother Luc Bradshaw. She is still furious with him over the jail thing, and now believes he's trying something fishy with her friends. It takes a lot of effort for Luc to prove who he really is, and that he was on an undercover assignment when he met her. He's been mad at her too, believing she had broken her promise to stay, since she was gone when his boss went to help her leave the island. When he finds out what happened to her, he's furious and determined to get to the truth.

As angry as she is, it's obvious that the attraction between Tasha and Luc is as strong as it was before. Neither one has forgotten those days when they felt like they had truly connected. Luc is determined to show Tasha that they can still have something good together, but every time she looks at him she remembers those horrible nights in jail. She's really pretty hard on him, but it isn't too long before Luc's intention to regain her trust starts to soften her up.

There were moments when I loved Tasha, and others when I really wanted to smack her. I loved her independence, her strength of will, and her loyalty to her friends. I loved seeing her on the scene at her pizzeria. She has great relationships with her employees - there was a terrific part at the beginning where she stood up for one of her teenage employees against one of the snobby set. However, she spent far too long holding what happened against Luc, especially once he explained. But once she finally accepted it, things really started to pick up.

I really liked Luc. I loved seeing him get to know his brothers. It was a bit heartbreaking to see his insecurity over whether he fit in with them. I also liked that he really was an honorable guy. He had tried to do the right thing back in the Bahamas, his mistake was in trusting his boss. He hadn't forgotten Tasha at all, and often wondered about her. He was floored when he saw her again, and really confused about her anger until he heard why. I loved the way that he refused to give up on getting her to forgive him and seeing if they could still have something together.

I loved seeing the relationship grow between Tasha and Luc. At first they tried to keep it purely physical, because Luc would be going back to his undercover work and Tasha didn't want to risk her heart. But Luc soon finds that the idea of not going back to undercover work is growing in appeal. All he needs to do is convince Tasha to take a chance on him. Tasha has to face up to her own fears before she can allow herself to take what Luc is offering. While her confrontation with Luc was hard, I liked the way she was able to be honest with herself and admit the truth of the things he said. Once she did that, then she had to decide if she was ready to take the risk.

I also enjoyed the secondary story of Jeremy and Peyton, Tasha's two teenage employees. I loved Jeremy's determination to overcome the issues that had put him in the group home. He had his pride, but he was also willing to accept the help offered by Tasha and her friends. I really enjoyed seeing the part he played in the story. I wasn't sure about Peyton at first. She initially came across as one of the snobby crowd, but showed what she was really made of early on. Her attitude was actually a cover when she was nervous, and I loved seeing it start to fade as she made a place for herself at the pizzeria. The romance that developed between the two of them was pretty sweet, but not without its problems. I really liked seeing the way they dealt with those problems and how it made them stronger. I'd like to see them again in a later book.

No Strings Attached by Susan Andersen is the third book in the Razor Bay series but it can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. This is the first book I’ve read by Susan Andersen and it won’t be the last. I thoroughly enjoyed it. This story focuses on Luc, an undercover DEA agent and Tasha a pizzeria owner in Razor Bay. It starts out 7 years prior when Tasha and “Diego” (Luc) have a short fling together in the Bahamas. Their passionate encounter ends abruptly and unexpectedly when Luc is swept away due to his job and Tasha is thrown in jail. Fast forward 7 years to when Tasha and Luc meet again…

Tasha is understandably livid because she believes Luc is “Diego” a drug lord who got her arrested. Meanwhile Luc believes she took off on him that day seven years ago, he didn’t know that she was arrested. Sparks fly in more ways than one as these two strong willed characters go head to head. Luc is determined to get her to listen to and trust his side of the story. For, he never forgot about her, just as she never forgot about him. Unfortunately her memories of the Bahamas are marred by being arrested and jailed for two days.

I really enjoyed reading along as Tasha and Luc come together in a romance that felt genuine and heartfelt. The interactions between the main characters as well as the secondary characters are well written and engaging. Tasha and Luc are strong, confident and likable characters. They were perfect for each other and once they got past the Bahamas incident the chemistry took over. Let’s just say it was intense and the sex was steamy.

The secondary characters play a big part in No Strings Attached. They really added an element of community and family to the story. I particularly enjoyed Jeremy the eighteen year old teen who works in Tasha’s restaurant. He was a charming mix of tough and sweet. Also the interplay between Luc and his newly discovered half-brothers and nephew was heartwarming.

No Strings Attached is a great read. I would recommend it to fans of contemporary romance.

This story is about white hot chemistry, supposed betrayal, second chances and love that can conquer all. I recommend this as one of my 'Must Reads'.

Seven years ago, Tasha is on holiday on the Andros Island in the Bahamas where she meets Diego and the chemistry between them is on the hottest side of hot, so she decides to blow caution to the wind and have a holiday fling with this man. On the day Tasha is supposed to leave for Nassau, Diego asks her to stay another night with him and she says yes. Just has Diego has asked her to stay, he is called away by his boss who wants to extract him from the island because he has heard rumours that someone is out to kill Luc so he sends him on another mission as Diego (aka Luc Bradshaw) is an undercover Drugs Enforcement Agent.

Just after Diego as left the hut that he is sharing with Tasha, the police turn up and find a bag of drugs there and arrest Tasha for possession of this and they throw her in jail for two days. She is unsure what is happening but there is only one answer Diego is a drug dealer and he left her to be charged with the possession of drugs. However, Luc thinks that Tasha has run out on him because his boss told him that when he went to extract her, that she had left.

Present day, Tasha is late again to her friends BBQ because she has had to fire her chef because he had been helping himself to her wine and had been drunk at work and he tried to blame Jeremy the young man that Tasha employed from the 'Cedar Village' which is a home for troubled boys that are trying to put their lives back together, and she had to put things right at Bella T's before she left and that is why she is late, so lets herself into Max's house and goes out to the back, only to come face to face with the devil himself Diego (aka Luc). Luc is the newly discovered brother of Max and Jake, who are Tasha's best friends partners. The story then goes on to show how both Tasha and Luc have to learn to trust each other again. Tasha fights her attraction to Luc because she does not believe in love but Luc tries to win her around as he knows that she is the one he wants.

This is a good summer read. Enjoy.

Tasha and Luc met in the Bahamas while on vacation. They had a hit and steamy fling, that ended with Tasha in jail for drug possession and Luc nowhere to be found.

Seven years later they run into each other again and she's furious with him. He's shocked with her reaction to him and doesn't u understand why she's so mad. Tasha's life seems to be going good, she owns her own business and helps mentor young teens. When she finds out that Luc is an undercover agent, she still doesn't want anything to do with, even though she now knows that he had nothing g to do with her be arrested. When he finally learns why she is so mad, he becomes determined to find what happened and why.

I enjoyed reading as Tasha and Luc finally come together and fall in love, it was so real and genuine. They were perfect for each other and very likeable characters. When they get together it is definitely hit and steamy. All characters were well written, including all the secondary characters. I liked all the stories from the different people in the book, it seemed to add so much to the story.

Great read and I would recommend it to all romance readers.

Some mistakes are worth repeating…
This is the 3rd book in The Razor Bay series by Susan Andersen. It is Tasha and Luc (Diego)'s story.
Tasha had spent one night with Luc. It was the best night of her life. The worst were when she spent the following 2 nights in a jail cell. That was seven years ago.
It has taken Tasha a long time to get over the things she endured in the Bahamian jail. It's bad enough that she can't seem to get Diego (Luc) out of her thoughts. Worse now that he suddenly is back in her life, in her town and the 1/2 brother of her best friend's fiance. She can't trust him, much less herself, when the attraction they shared is more now than ever.
Luc has come to town to get to know his 2 half brothers. He can't help it if they just so happen to live in the same town that Tasha is from. He tries to get her to listen to what happened the night he disappeared, but she doesn't want to relive it. Luc will have to use his powers of persuasion to get to the bottom of what happened.
I read this as a stand alone book. I will have to go back and get the first two. I enjoyed the writing style and their story. Lots of passion, lust, drama, romance and love. Getting to know the secondary characters was also enjoyable.

I finished this book in one day, and was running a fever, too, so that says something for the author's skill. Tasha treats Luc very poorly for a long time, but we learn the many-layered reasons why early on. It's cute how all the friends and family want to intervene. The bonds between the friends and family are clear, and caught my heart. I was at the dentist and kept grabbing excuses to go back to the book. Thank goodness for Novocaine taking a while to work, I got to sit upright and keep reading!

Tasha is a Stitch, fierce and feisty and witty. The scene where she runs into Luc after all those years made me laugh. In fact, a lot of the book made me laugh. The secondary characters are well-fleshed out as well.

SPOILER ALERT:
I wanted a more threatening situation to bring them back together. I mean, he IS a DEA agent, but again, the author did an excellent job working in a resolution without guns and kidnapping. Tasha ripping into a high-ranking DEA agent was wonderful!

I had my concerns when the first line started "A hot, moist breeze" - moist, huh? The beginning was a little fraught with adjectives but it picked up from there. The plot was fairly standard - encounter of some sorts many years ago that went wrong with total misunderstandings on both sides and leads to mutual dislike in present. Thing is, I'm a fan of those stories so I was in.

I think in the end for me, it was just a bit too heavy handed. Too much of a point was made of our heroines good heart, of her biracial friend's wonderful skin - a few aspects like that. Tash was a perfectly plucky heroine and Luc a smouldering alpha male but I never fell into them the way I want to in my romances.

My chemistry level never went above lukewarm with this story.

Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

"Non poteva più fingere che la piena di emozioni che lo inondava non fosse amore. Nulla che avesse mai provato si avvicinava anche solo lontanamente alle sensazioni che Tasha gli suscitava. La voleva. Non solo quel giorno o quella settimana. Di colpo non riusciva più a concepire di potere stare senza di lei"

Fantastico finale per una fantastica trilogia! *ç* la Andersen si è ritagliata un posticino fisso nelle mie letture doc future! ;D

This story was ebb and flow for me. At times it would pick up and other times it would take forever to come to a thought.

Tasha and Luc (undercover DEA) have a bangin night together while they are both on vacation separately in the Bahamas. Then Tasha gets thrown in the Bahamian jail under drug charges and she stays there for two days. Fast forward 7 years later, Tasha is the owner of a pizza joint in a small time living life and then Luc waltzes back in her life. Except she knows him as Diego who let her be taken to prison. She has had demons to exorcise and Luc is bringing them all back. Along with strong emotions to climb on top of him daily. Will they get a fresh start and move on separately or together?

The chemistry between them was ok but I didn’t feel Tasha really wanted to be with Luc as much as he did with her. Her character was kinda self imposed. I wish there was more story on what happened in that jail for those two days and why it has a hold on her life. It seems she just sat in darkness with bugs. I feel that there is a story half finished in that area. And Luc came across as this sleek hard DEA agent but then he becomes a little too soft and squishy when he found out he had half brothers. I understand that can be super emotional but for his character is seemed like he was a pansy. I didn’t believe that emotion. I was rolling my eyes when those parts came up.

All in all, it was an interesting read and I liked the mystery part of it and the romantic side too. It kept me entertained for sure.

Honestly, I could see myself enjoying this book at another time but it just makes me anxious. Luc last saw Tasha in the Bahamas, where he had to leave due to DEA duties and she was thrown in jail for having drugs (which were his). They meet again years later and she wants nothing to do with him and he won’t leave her alone. This is a really fast-paced book but Luc’s pushiness really bothered me, especially as Tasha clearly has a lot on her plate. That said, this is an amazing beach read.

I really enjoyed this one. Lots of ups and downs, but good flow. Would make a great beach read!

I didn't know it was part of a series when I started it, but I picked up everything that was going on. Loved Tasha. She was a great, strong, female character. And Luc was a great counterpart to Tasha.

Enjoyed this quite a bit, don't know why it took me so long to finish this series! Love the straightforward style to Andersen's romances. The protagonists are charming. enjoy the humor of the relationships and the family dynamics. A fun and engaging read!

A silly "popcorn" read - I can't say that I was particularly impressed with the plot or prose, but it was good enough to finish once I'd started. Sometimes it's fun to turn off your brain and read something light.

Liked the premise but I wasn't a fan of the execution. It also felt too convenient, and a bit OTT in terms of plot, rather than a contemporary that I can pick up and immediately feel immersed in. DNF and unhauled.
