In between books, Adam Glendon Sidwell uses the power of computers to make monsters, robots and zombies come to life for blockbuster movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean, King Kong, Transformers and Tron. After spending countless hours in front of a keyboard meticulously adjusting tentacles, calibrating hydraulics, and brushing monkey fur, he is delighted at the prospect of modifying his creations with the flick of a few deftly placed adjectives. He's been eating food since age 7, so feels very qualified to write this book. He once showed a famous movie star where the bathroom was. Adam currently lives in Los Angeles, where he can't wait to fall into the sea.

Fetch is a cute story about dogs where they come from. The pictures are bright and eye catching. The one scene of the town has so much detail in the picture it is fun to pick at it a little at a time.
It is a short read that kids will want you to read them it again and again. Especially if you have a dog or want one.

I never new the true story of where dogs came from.

I was given this ebook to read and look at the pictures so I could honestly review it.

Where do pet dogs come from? According to this book they come from a place at least nine sunsets away where dogs can do whatever they dream of doing. But if they get too adventurous and stray from home, some find they don't want to leave our world.

A cute and imaginative story about the life of dogs. There's just a simple sentence or two per page, but they are sufficient along with the animation-style illustrations to tell this story. It looks like a movie-tie-in book but as far as I can tell, it isn't linked to any movie. Highly recommended for dog lovers.

A surprisingly weird book. And I can't decide if I think it's weird in a good way or weird in a weird way. For one thing, there's surprisingly little text and what's there is almost... poetically sparse? And sometimes old fashioned. There's an unusual dog mythology that certainly creative and an interesting vintage vibe / nostalgia thing going on. The artwork makes the pages look lit with this kind of misty light, which adds to the sense that this is somehow old time-y. Or maybe it's the cornfield. A kind of Field of Dreams quality?

I feel a little odd sharing pictures of the plane crash and the injured dog with my two year old. But he likes the book and it's not an unpleasant read aloud for the adult doing the reading. The drawings of the dog's body language are very realistic -- Paul especially likes the picture where the boy offers the dog a bowl of the food and the dog is not certain whether he wants to make friends just yet.

And I guess we're supposed to be rooting for A Boy and His Dog and Love and Friendship and all that. But it's hard not to feel a little bad for the dog who gives up race cars and aeroplanes in dog world to hang out in a cornfield and eat kibble.

Fetch is a story about the world where dogs have freedom to do anything they want. But not everyone is the same. There is always a rebel. One of them lefts the pack, to fly. Indeed, it was a brave act. He dared to fly alone, but sometimes fate collide with our bravery.

This author, Adam Glendon Sidwell, is one of my grandsons favorite authors. We have seen him twice now, once at a program and signing at an elementary school, and another time at our local library, and both times he was so kind, and so focused on the children and their views of his books. His "Evertaster" books are engaging and the artwork is great. When I received the two copies of "Fetch" I knew the author had taken the same care to write "Fetch" as his prior books, and again the writing and graphics are just the right amount of good story and engaging graphics. Well done! FetchAdam Glendon Sidwell

Just read Fetch with my boys, who are dog lovers, and they were hysterically laughing at some of the antics displayed. They wanted me to quickly turn the pages, and each pointed to show the other one what the dog he saw was doing. Then we had to go back slowly over each page for them to devour again.
The drawings are delightful, and the boys had a hard time agreeing to disagree which activity they liked the best. If you want to have a great dialogue with your little one, this is the book for you. So I asked them “where do the dogs come from?” You will love their answers after reading this sweet, colorful, and eye catching little book.
Don’t miss out on this great sharing experience with your child, you won’t be disappointed!

I received this book from Kathy at I Am A Reader, Not A Writer Blog Tour, and was not required to give a positive review.

Fetch is about a dog named Fetch that has the courage to leave what is "normal" and soar to great heights in an airplane and discover what lies in a distant world. I loved this book and I think young children will love it also. It teaches children about faithfulness, loyalty and undying love. The love between a child and his dog. The full-page illustrations are simply amazing and will draw any child's attention and keep them engaged in the story. It's a short story but beautifully done and small children will want to read it again and again. I recommend this book very highly to anyone with a small child

This a true love letter to dog lovers everywhere!

Of course, being a dog lover, this book couldn't escape my radar.

This book uses spare but effective text, letting the breaktaking illustrations give you a sense of transcending to a whole other world.

Fans of “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” will find this world of canine majesty just as full of enchanting possibilities as Equestria, and if anyone from the Hub Network reads this, you may want to snatch up the television rights to this one! (just some friendly advice from The Literary Rat)

This is one book that will NEVER leave my private library.

I am a dog lover, so when I saw Fetch and the blog tour I jumped at the chance to read it. I am so glad that I did. This book was absolutely adorable and wonderful in every way, it even brought a tear to my eye (in a good way).

Fetch is about where dogs come from (not in the birds and bees sense but another world) and if you love them, they will love you back and stay with you.

The illustrations and colors are beautiful and vibrant, I think any beginning reader/ listener will love these pages. And the doggies! They are so fun and filled with spirit on the pages I loved them! For a book that was mostly pictures I think this was a spectacular book.

This picture book was minimal in text but paired with the high quality illustrations, it spoke volumes of teachings. Like, love, loyalty of pets (particularly dogs), daring to venture to the unknown, and enjoying your young life. Great happy lessons that’s perfect for the toddler in your life. So if you want a bit of sunshine in your bedtime reading, pick up this book and enjoy!

Before I go, here's what my family has to say about the book:

*6yo son, "I like it."
*7yo daughter, "I like the part that dogs have a place where they can do anything they want."
*11yo, "It's imaginative."
*Husband, "Cool!"

This book is super short, contains a great message and literally took me a couple of minutes to read the text. I went through it again, paying careful attention to the illustrations, which are fantastic, and it took me much longer.

This is a great book to share with small children and is sure to keep little eyes occupied for quite a while. It's also a great read for all ages and will especially appeal to dog lovers!

I received a copy of this to review. My opinion is 100% my own.

Have you ever wondered where dogs come from? Well, you'll find out where Fetch came from and what he gave up to be with a special little boy. When Fetch is faced with a chance to return home, will he take it?

The simple but powerful story is accompanied by Edwin Rhemrev's illustrations, which are eye-catching and full of detail. The kids will love reading this story and exploring the colorful illustrations over and over again.

A special book for anyone who has ever loved a dog.

I received this book in return for an honest review.

I loved the illustrations in this story because they really brought the words to life. I think most children love dogs, at least mine do, and the imagination is definitely sparked with this one. I love the message that this story shares--it's okay to be different and to try new things, things that are different from what those around you might be doing. Sometimes our courage might be tested, but persistence and trust can help one overcome fears.

I received a free ecopy of this book for an honest review.

This children’s book is full of beautiful and colorful illustrations. It also has a cute story about dogs, where this special dog came from, and his friendship that kept him on Earth but the pictures are what caught my eye.

This would be a good book to read to younger children. The illustrations would definitely keep their attention.

A child may ask where dogs come from? This cute picture book gives an adventurous story where a dog journeys from nine sunsets away. He is a brave dog who leaves his pack and braves the elements in an airplane.

The best part of the book for me were the illustrations. They are excellent. They are detailed and fun to look at.

This book will be a hit for all animal loving children.
