I read this for free on webtoons but I will end up buying a physical copy because the art is gorgeous. 😍

Honestly these ratings are purely based on vibes. I'm writing these reviews after finishing the entire webtoon so it's hard to pinpoint specific plots and I noted the ratings whilst reading. The story is so good I love the modern spins and twists on greek mythology and their story.

Such a cute webtoon! Hades and Persephone love story is always a classic, you can’t go wrong.

I adored the art style — unique and fitting. It would really drag you into the story, and through shapes and colours make you feel the grandness/fragility of the gods.

Persephone’s story is full of highs and lows, trauma, pain, and healing. It’s not hard to sympathise with her. She’s not perfect, but she’s always true to herself and with pure intentions.

In conclusion, Kore, you really are a Femininomenon! 🌸

Quand on aime autant une histoire, on redoute souvent la fin qui peut parfois être très bancale. Ici il n’en est rien.

Chaque arc est fini, chaque personnage obtient ce qu’il mérite et le rythme se conclut avec beaucoup de cohérence !

Je suis très triste de devoir dire au revoir aux personnages, surtout à Hadès ahaha, j’aurais pu lire encore des centaines d’épisodes mais je suis au moins fière de savoir que je pourrai les relire encore et encore !

Yay! A wedding! No, THE wedding. The intervention Demeter organized to make Persephone leave the Underworld and Hades was despicable, but the two got married despite it all.

It was lovely.

P.S. I finished the whole series on WEBTOON, and sadly, I felt like the story became a bit scattered after Hades and Persephone's wedding. Kronos was the big bad Titan, as always, and he was terrorizing Hades, Persephone, and the rest of the Underworld, but most of all, Hera, because appaerently Hera tricked him to ensure Zeus' victory in the Titan war. It wasn't all, though. Apollo was still fixated on Persephone, and he was working with Ouranos to both become the king of gods instead of Zeus, and to marry Persephone. Again. Honestly, it got way too old at that point. And the r*pe incident surfaced once again. I mean, I understand that it was an extremely traumatic thing to go through, but I also think it could have been resolved a bit earlier, as in, Persephone could face Apollo and have a breakthrough, because it was ultimately what happened in the end.

Zeus lost some of his powers, Hera became the king of gods, Persephone began spending three months in the mortal realm, because she needed to bring spring, and her spring powers were fixed in the end, and she spent nine months in the Underworld with her beloved husband, Hades, while Apollo were punished and was made to pay for all he did.

I also read the afterword, and I feel close to the author than ever, because she was just a different girl who was looking for a way to express herself, and she came across Persephone's story. I think she is really talented, and I am happy to have discovered her first ever graphic novel.

A pretty underwhelming volume tbh. I feel like the series should be well and truly wrapping up now, if not fully wrapped up and just waiting for a big bow to go on top, but somehow there's still a bunch of things unresolved...

Absolutely incredible series! I've always had a love for Greek Mythology, and that the gods could live in a modern reality is just *chef's kiss*!!!! The watercolor concept is also magical and vibrant, making everything come to life on the page. Highly recommend for all Greek Mythology and star-crossed-lover-trope readers!

*SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!*

The concept of Apollo was unexpected and it took FOREVER for him to get his just reward, the bastard. When it finally happens though, Persephone does goooooooood.
Also, was totally not expecting the Melinoe twist! Love the use of ASL, too! 10/10!
My favorite character after Melinoe was definitely Hades, I love that he is so gentle and insecure and kind, despite his hellish dad.
Hera was amazing as comedy relief! Love that woman!

What I think will be volume 9: 207-231
(I was slightly off)

It really feels like there is a completely different person making these volumes. The art is different and the characters don’t feel the same

I love all the backstories and the tension! All the storylines that seemed to be going no where are coming together!

- Persephone wants the full dating experience
- In the past, hades voted against demeter being queen of the mortal realm. Swore she would keep something from him
- Minthe!! We get her backstory and what happened after she was a plant
- Minthe became a teacher
- Hades wants to clean up the underworld before he will let Persephone help rule
- Love the neon art when figuring out kronos plan
- Thanatos betrayed because he was jealous that hades gave his attention to persephone instead of him. He sees hades as a father figure
- talk with hades right when kronos took over
- Persephone fixed daphne so she can be with Thanatos!
- Story of how hypnosis was tricked (also, he has a daughter and is the brother of thanatos)
- Kronos has a child diety in tartarus
- The entire punishment, persephone was longing for sex
- Investigate the tree in Tartarus
- persephone goes to the bank and got major interest over the last 10 years
- Sex talk and lead up but… ares comes…
- ares misses aphrodite. Dite is sleeping with Hephaestus. And meeting up with a mortal woman??
- Hephaestus gives Aphrodite a heart seeking after trial. She can’t do her duties without going to the mortal realm but now she can
- Kronos wants to talk only to hera. She definitely knows something and keeping it secret…
- Coronation planning
- Pen drive of Apollo’s. Pics of someone named Kassandra
- Psyche is offered immortality if she watches over apollo after shooting him (mission with eros)
- Persephone is jealous of hera. Hades of ares.
- Hades takes the form of a butterfly to join the date

- Learns about them from the girl Zeus used
- Persephone must have made a deal with someone
- There’s a fertility goddess between the one from zeus and Persephone! Athena?

Despues de varios años Lore Olympus a llegado a su final. Comic contando un recuento moderno de la relacion entre Hades y Persefone, ademas de parte de las vidas de otros dioses en el olimpo. Si bien el comic trata de mantenerse fiel a la historia original, la escritora se tomo algunas libertades artisticas, esto tanto para darle mas hilo a la historia, culminarla o adaptarla al giro moderno del cual se caracteriza. Una historia hermosa que trata temas muy pesados dentro de la misma mitologia griega…

Algo que tambien me agrado es que desde el principio Hades es mostrado como alguien que se encuentra lejos del hombre perfecto; tiene muchas fallas y problemas familiares que se empeña en ocultar. Gracias a Persefone y el amor que siente por ella es capaz de enfrentar todo esto, porque sabe que lo hara un mejor hombre, mas alla de vivir bajo la sombra de su hermano. Ademas de esto el arte tambien va mejorando y actualizandose, Rachel se vuelve mas firme con las lineas de dibujo y mas agresiva con los colores, que al principio eran bastante borrosos. Ver la calidad mejoradas es sin duda un aspecto positivo. Ademas de esto, le da una perspectiva secreta a la historia, en la que existe la desinformacion como parte de la historia…

Con un final que valio la espera, y realista dada la naturalidad de la historia, Lore Olympus es sin duda unico en su clase, ademas de que hace que las personas se interesen mas por aprender sobre la mitologia griega, de manera dinamica y facil.

Es quizas uno de los recuentos que mejor se ha adaptado al tema moderno, le da otro punto de vista a la historia de Persefone y Hades que nunca se logro edificar del todo antes de esta historia.

i dont feel as passionate about this volume as the last one and i think its because the last volume had so much action and drama and fun, and i think this volume pales a little in comparason.

in this volume, we get to see what pretty much everyone was up to and how they were doing over the past ten years which i obviously love (i need to see more of eros and psyche and their baby(!!)). not loving where we're going with ares's character. you guys know i love ares so much and i know hes going through a rough time right now but im not loving how hes getting villainized a little bit. only happiness for ares please <3 but also keep him and aphrodite away from each other!

and of course: hades and persephone <3 they are so so so sweet and wholesome and i love them forever and ever <3
