A J Walters is a multi-genre author who made her first appearance on to the indie circuit with a trilogy of books. Having interests in history, romance and elements of erotica, she has brought all of these together in The Attraction Series of books..
Wanting to break the trend of size 12 virgins in books, A J Walters has introduced a new real woman in Isabel Chambers. She's a size 18-20, working single mother who now feels is it her time to start living her life again. At the ripe young age of 39, A J Walters also wanted to show that you can experience everything that a twenty-something would.
"I saw that a 39 year old isn't quite at retirement age for fun, sex and finding love again. There are so many women out there that can be represented in books as well as the slim, innocent and beautiful types. Don't get me wrong I love reading books with them in, but there is so many of them around now I felt it is time for something different. I'd like to think I brought my sense of humour across in it as well. I am ditsy, I suffer from 'foot in mouth' syndrome, but I can also be serious and sentimental. From the feedback I've had, apparently it makes for a great writing voice."
A J has gone on to be an Amazon Number One Best Seller in Women's Fiction with her poetry and is currently working on a new novel.
A J Walters currently live in Staffordshire, England with her two children.
Marc the professor from America and Isabelle, curvaceous, warm, sensual and most importantly down to earth. Well in book 1 one these two met and fireworks went off, this book continues there journey.
These two characters make a great a great couple, but they both a history and some of it is trying to catch up with them thanks to the dark Emelie and her hubby.
As I mentioned I enjoyed Isabelle as she is a down to earth girl, kindle to hand and a glass of wine nearby and most importantly a packet of tissues for when a clean up is required lol ;)
Sensual and steamy is one word for this couple, I also found myself wiggling my toes and pulling faces at the bedroom scenes!
An enjoyable read once again with a British theme and feel.
I would recommend reading the below before this book: An Acute Attraction (The Attraction Series, #1)
This is more of Isabel and Marc’s story. Isabel and Marc are trying to deal with the things from there past. Will Dr Emelie finally come in between the two of them? She is determined to have Marc all to herself and seemingly will stop at nothing to have him. When all the secrets come out will Marc and Isabel be able to work past them? Or will it be the beginning of the end of them?
I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
***Warning!! A Constant Attraction may contain spoilers concerning An Acute Attraction due to this being the conclusion.***
A Constant Attraction starts off where An Acute Attraction left off. Marc and Isabel are still together and still very much in love. Things are going well until Emelie rears her ugly head again and is a force to be reckoned with. She has a plan and is going full force into it and no one is going to change or stop what she has in store for every one involved.
This is when the story line gets a bit more grittier and tense for Marc. While he is trying to keep this all hidden from Isabel, so she is protected and doesn't get hurt, he feels he must take charge of the situation and stop Emelie and her husband once and for all. This second instalment seemed to engage and grip me more than the first one. Although I really did enjoy the first book I do like a story with added suspense, so for me, A Constant Attraction delivered this and added a good twist at the end.
Marc and Isabel's relationship is as close as ever. Their feelings are becoming deeper and more intense, they never can get enough of each other and the sex is still as hot and intense as ever. I love the way Marc wants to love and protect Isabel forever and plans for not only her future, but with her two children as well. He really is all Mr Perfect-sexy, hot alpha male and yes, the added bonus of being a professor. Isabel really does come into her own, she leaves her dowdy, un-confident persona back at the hotel and transforms her self into a sexy, confident, strong woman. I found myself thinking (You Go Girl) you so deserve to be, and feel, like that!!
After reading both books I would definitely recommend An Acute Attraction and A Constant Attraction to readers looking for something heart-warming, sexy and fun with an added twist and some suspense to the story. Both these books are short reads and I found the story flowed well from one to the other. I will definitely be waiting to read more from this author and would like to thank A.J. Walters for providing me with the arcs to read and review for a honest review.
This story continues where the first one ended. Isabel and Marc are in a relationship, finding more and more about each other. However the people in Marc’s past refuses to let him have any peace. They’ve been planning on creating a lot of issues for Marc and they have no problem with Isabel becoming collateral damage.
This book was told in multiple pov’s (Isabel, Marc and Emelie’s). I didn’t find it hard to follow or confusing at all.. I actually really liked that I got to get into Marc’s head and seeing how sick and depraved Emelie is. I absolutely love Marc, he has a need to protect not only his interest but those of Isabel’s and he will not let Emilie destroy what Isabel and he have built.
With Emelie showing her nasty side, we get to see more then just a romance story. We definitely get some thriller elements mixed in which makes the situation that much more difficult for Marc and Isabel. Marc tries to keep Emelie’s threats hidden from Isabel. He wants to keep her protected from this nightmare. When Emelie’s steps up her threats and become bolder, Marc decides he needs to take matters into his own hands to stop Emilee and Stefan from creating more harm.
The relationship between Marc and Isabel is stronger and more intense than in the previous book. Going through this dangerous ordeal has bought the couple closer, and their feelings for each other are deeper and more defined. The sex, well I thought the first book was hot but in book 2 the sex is even hotter. Marc is protective, possessive and sexy as hell in this book. Isabel has a new confidence to her. She is strong, sexy and is not ashamed of her body. She knows who she is and knows what she wants.
I was a nervous wreck reading this one. I was terrified of what Emelie and Stefan had planned. The suspense in this book was enjoyable and added a nice twist to the story line. This was the final story for the couple and I think the author did a good job with their ending. Many questions that I was left with from the first book as well as new ones that came up were answered. I was satisfied with how everything came together.
I was really looking forward to reading this book! I loved An Acute Attraction & I just fell in love with Marc & Isabel. I could not wait to find out how their story ends. But….I felt this book came up a little short for me.. Almost like I was reading another book.
Ok… Let me start off by saying that I did enjoy the story. Their were however a couple of things that I struggled with in this book.
For me.. It took me awhile to get into this book. It didn’t just grab me right from the start like the last book did. I was struggling with Emelie parts in this book. Maybe that’s why I was having such a hard time in the beginning. Also too… I wasn’t really feeling Isabel in the beginning either. She seemed different to me.
The British dialogue was Full on in this book!!…lol
The first thing I notice right from the start was… You can tell the writer is British! Having read An Acute Attraction first. It was 50/50 dialogue. But in this book.. It was full on British dialogue. I loved it!! I had to Google a couple of things and message my friend from the UK!!…lol But I got it!!
The only thing I didn’t like was Marc is supposed to be American. The way he talked in this book was not how we would talk or phrase things. He sounded more British than anything.
“I ponder as whether I should leave a note in case she wakes. If I do, what do I write? I’ve just nipped out to buy a pint of milk”
No…. American would say that. LOL I didn’t like that.
I also felt things could have been better explained. I wish the author would have recapped a little from the last book. It also seemed a little rushed…
I started to really get into it around the 49%-50% mark. Isabel & Marc sex scene! I loved it!! It was super hot!!
Overall it was an ok read. I’m happy with how it ended.
I will definitely keep reading books by this author!!

**ARC provided for an honest review**
(This same review is on my blog Goodreads account)
In Acute Attraction you met Isabelle and Marc and started to follow them through their journey of beginning a relationship. In Constant Attraction you get to continue that journey with them.
Marc is has told Isabelle about Emelia and her husband Stefano and how they are blackmailing him. Marc is very concerned about Isabelle and her safety due to the instability of Emelia. Isabelle wants to help where she can but is so unsure how. She is also still trying to come to terms that Marc really wants to be with her. As she and Marc grow closer together the worse it seems that Emelia gets. Marc has contacted his father but he won't tell Marc what he has planned or is planning. As the days getting closer for the drop off the more worried Marc gets. His feeling for Isabelle are getting stronger. What Marc tells Isabelle how he feels and what he wants as far as a future goes with Isabelle just really shocks Isabelle.
What happens to Emelia and her blackmail scheme when Marc make the drop off is shocking. Marc had his backing from his father. How Marc's father help put an end to all of this was quite stunning and amazing. Marc's father cleared the way for Isabelle and Marc to become happy and possibly have a future together.
How does Marc and Isabelle come out of the situation with Emelia? Does Emelia and Stefano get their way or does something happen to change the outcome? How does Marc's father play a role in all this? What happens when everything is said and done? I only hope that this is not the end of Marc and Isabelle. I hope their story will continue.

I have loved spending time reading about Marc and Isabel’s story in An Acute Attraction but we are left on a little bit of a cliffhanger. We know that Marc and Isabel have an attraction and their love story develops in this book with a huge insight into both of their feelings for each other. I again love the way that the story is written in multiple perspectives.
This conclusion to their story included the unwelcome addition of Emilie to the mix. However, her manipulative ways and her actions add a nice plot line for the continuation of this lovely series. Her relevance to this tale is more than we already know and it adds a bit of intrigue and tension to the overall story. Having a look into Emilie’s life and being inside of her head at times adds a different dimension in this book and I really liked it!
We also discover more about Marc and his background as well as see him finally meeting Isabel’s sons too. I won’t say that this path is an uninterrupted course of true love but the lengths at which Marc goes to try and deal with the different challenges he faces, especially when he fears Isabel is in danger, really made me swoon and fall for him harder.
This is also a pretty steamy read in places too and I think it provides a really beautiful conclusion to their story as well. This series overall has been a really refreshing change for me! Plus size heroine with a real feel to her and real life issues really endeared me to her from the outset! And well then there is Marc, the handsome hero – always a winner in my book!!
Five Fabulous Stars!

Brilliant sequel and great ending! Full review to follow
REVIEWED by Traci Hyland for Kindle Friends Forever
This is the continuation of An Acute Attraction and I must say, I absolutely loved it. I love Isabel and Marc. I was seriously crushing on Marc in book one, but I'm head over heals now. He’s just sexy as all hell!! And Isabel, she isn't your typical whiny female. She’s cute, funny and in my opinion, gorgeous. Who says gorgeous has to be a size 2? Not me, and definitely not Marc.
I have to be honest, Emelie annoyed me no end and I'm definitely happy she got what was coming to her, but it happened so fast. I wish her issues were explained a bit more. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but let’s just say, she was a psycho and needed to be taken down a few notches… achieved wonderfully. Other than that, I thought the book was perfect, the ending sweet and the sex scenes juicy and sexy as hell. The grammar is excellent and the spelling is spot on. I still feel that it’s a bit formal, however after speaking with the author directly, I completely understand now how we live in two different countries and it really has nothing to do with formality, it’s just that she speaks from a British point of view and I, from an American one so it’s just different. Now that I understand that about the author, I completely get it, and the formality of how it is written makes more sense to me.
I highly recommend both An Acute Attraction and A Constant Attraction to all readers looking for something fresh, sweet, sexy and fun, because that’s what you get with these two fabulous characters.
This was still hard for me to follow with the phrasing, but I marched on and am glad I did.
I will say that I was a little more into this when I realized the things that Emelie and her husband were up to.
And this one was from multiple points of view, so I got into the minds of other characters too.
This installment was more intense than the first and had more sexy times too. Isabel has made quite a change in a weeks time.
Don't get me wrong, because I do like Marc and Isabel, but being inside Emelie's head had its perks. Even though she has her issues I was kinda hoping for a little bit of sexy time for her too.
Honestly, as a whole, this series did keep my attention, but I was on the fence with it too.
I am glad I gave these a chance. And for a fairly new author they are not bad. I'm sure, with time her books will only get better and better and better. I have no doubt if I see her name again, I will be picking up her books.
This leads straight on from where the first book left off. So you have to read book one. We have already been introduced to the main characters and are aware that both Marc and Isabel have a past. At the end of book one we are left with a cliffhanger thanks to Emelie and her husband. In this book it is told from the point of view of Marc, Isabel and Emelie. We see more into Emelie' s back story and what has driven her to blackmail Marc. This plot adds to the story and comes to a tragic end. Don't worry Marc and Isabel are ok.
Again I found that I had to stop and remind myself that this all takes place over the course of a week. But in the words of Isabel: “when you put this into perspective, the both of us are edging closer to mid-life, we have got to grab life by the balls and make the most of every single second."
This was a feel good book, I still love Isabel' s take on life and how Marc accepts her for who she is and strives to make her happy and to discover more about herself. This was a beautifully written story with realistic characters.
AJ Walters outshines in this sequel....read why in my review
Learning a bit more about Dr. Emelie and her demented ways added quite an unexpected twist to this sequel. She was a sexy, well poised, evil character that suited this story quite well. Yet, I was left a bit shaken by the turn of events between Mr. and Mrs. Acerbi. The greed these two shared was unparalleled. Marc, on the other hand, was just dreamy!! What a hottie!! Isabel was absolutely charismatic. She gave a bit more insight into her darker days yet her overall, positive, head strong outlook of the experience made me admire her even more. In addition, I rather enjoyed how she took charge in her delicious encounters with Marc. It was quite a treat. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this read. It was quite the roller coaster. My biggest disappointment is that it has come to an end. Or has it?? (wink, wink. nudge, nudge)
After enjoying Acute Attraction so much I was looking forward to reading Constant Attraction, and I have to say I was certainly not disappointed. In fact, I think ithis book is even better than the first. The storyline picked up immediately where book one finished, and, in my opinion, you must read them in order, to get the best from them. Marc and Isabel have fallen deeper for each other, but Marc's past is beginning to cause them issues. This is what brings the suspense element to the story, and is what elevates the book from a 3 star read to a 5 star read. The characters are so relatable, Isabel isn't a tiny model like woman, she is curvaceous and insecure, like the majority of us women. Marc is super hot, but doesn't strutting around like a pimping peacock, he is humble and gentlemanly. As in book one the English scenery won me over. I really enjoyed this book and award it 5* and am already looking forward to more from this author!!
What a great story! I am so pleased how the story played out. Another job well done, AJ!
The Emelie part of the story had me a little confused at first because I found myself feeling sorry for her but that quickly changed with her actions. My dislike of her character resumes. I, also, liked that other than threats, Isabel's kids were not part of the drama. I don't think I would have enjoyed that.
I admire Isabel's character so much. And let's not forget her hilarious sense of humor and her knack for "foot in the mouth" situations. The believability of her character makes for an easy connection to the story.
I totally picture a British Kirstie Alley as Isabel and Eric Dane as Marc.
I can't wait to read what you come out with next, AJ! (I call first dibs, hehehehe!).
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
As you read the conclusion of Marc Sanders and Isabel Chambers love story you will fall in love all over again. Of course what love story is complete without an evil queen (Dr. Emelie Acerbi) wanting to destroy their HEA!!!
Marc and Isabel's love is not seeing well by Emelie, and she has made it her goal to separate the love birds.
Isabel realized that in this short time Marc has become an important part in her life, and she will finally shared her tormented past with Marc in order for her to be 100% true to him.
Marc will not let anything happen to Isabel and specially now that he knows he wants to spend the rest of his life with Isabel.
Can they have their HEA or will the evil Emelie has her ways and separate Marc and Isabel?
Shannon’s Review Let me start by saying if you haven’t read Acute Attraction then you NEED to read it first. Not only because it is a good book but to understand A Constant Attraction you would need back stories of the characters from the first book. A Constant Attraction starts off where Acute Attraction left off. It begins with Marc and Isabelle still together and Isabelle’s friend actually meeting him. It was great seeing these two together again. You will get a lot of your questions answered in this book and see what a crazy bitch looks like. I can’t say too much about the book without giving it away but it is well worth the read. You will enjoy seeing how a man sees a woman for what she truly is. I am giving this book 4 hearts.
In this sequel we are back with Marc and Isabel in a deadly love triangle as we finish up the two book series. Lusty and steaming but oh so real and relatable Isabel and Marc keep the fires burning while handling some tricky situations. Great turns of phrase and imagery keep you delighted and titillated by turn. The characters are fully fleshed out and make this a delightful, feel good story with no lack of wit and charm.
I thoroughly enjoyed every page and look forward to seeing what she pens
*I was given a copy of this eBook in exchange for an honest review.*
A Constant Attraction is the 2nd book in The Attraction Series. A J Walters is a terrific writer and the book does not disappoint. There were some stuff in the 1st book that happened and it is all cleared up in this 2nd book. The characters are real and they are not typically what you get in a book. I really enjoyed the book, but it was missing something for me to give a 5 star rating. It may have been that Emile’s POV was added and I had to keep checking to see which POV I was reading at the time. The book had a few steamy scenes that I totally loved! Keep up the good work A J Walters!
Book 1 Acute Attractions, you need to definitely read that one first before this one. I LOVED her first book in this series so couldn't wait to get around to reading the follow up.
I have to say A. J. Walters is a fab author, I loved her work from last time and I can see this is an author that I am going to be stalking.
In my lifetime and in my hobby as a book reviewer/avid book worm! I read a lot of book per year so I come across all kinds of writing, styles etc, and the style of this authors really ROCKS MY BOAT, I love it. I'll be stalking her for her next book!
First off thank you AJ Walters for wanting me to read your books :)
I loved the first book and you left me wanting so much more.
You created quite the character! I can say that in book 1 I was crushing on Marc pretty good but now I think I fell for him even more.
As crazy as this sounds I am not sure how I am feeling about Emelie. which isnt a bad thing, you all will know what I am talking about here soon enough.
So with that being said I look forward to your next project! whatever that maybe!
Congrats on another amazing, sweet, adorable, loveable, romantic book!
Highly entertaining as the author takes us on the journey with Isabel to find out who she is now that her children are grown and she leaves behind a painful past. Soon she is deep in a romantic and exciting relationship with Marc. Who is Marc really? Does he hide a terrible secret, or is he really as wonderful as he seems? Will steal Isabel's heart? Or will he crush her instead? Follow Marc as he learns what is truly important in life, and decides his fate along with those he loves. Intrigue, romance and danger all in one book! Wonderful!
3.5 stars, quick read that finished the two stories up, I could of happily read the two books together in one volume, slightly more mystery here and a bit more drama, Izzy and Marc make a wonderful couple and are brilliantly matched, both got a cheeky side to them which is sweet, nice touch doing the separate chapters under a different character, read very well. Would of liked more of an ending or even an epilogue about the four of them, Izzy, Marc and her sons as it would have been nice to here how they all got on.
Picking up where An Acute Attraction leaves off, you learn more about Isabel and Marc’s pasts and the secrets they have. As Marc’s past is keeping up with him at every turn, he has no choice but to reveal his secrets to Isabel or risk losing her. With people out to sabotage their new relationship can the get through this time, having only known each other a few days? This story is pretty much a case of love at first sight, which I really enjoyed. Their demons need facing so they can come out stronger and hopefully together.
I was given this book for an honest review. This is the second book, It is important that you read Acute Attraction before you read this one. IT IS NOT A STANDALONE. This was an a very good book. It was very enjoyable because you get a lot of your questions answered. It was wonderful reading a character who is so down to earth. It always makes a book more enjoyable for me when the characters are more down to earth.. Definitely worth the read...
After reading the cliffhanger at the end of the first, I was looking forward to a really suspenseful conclusion but it didn't quite get there. With a lot of time spent on Emelie's background as to why she is the way she is, it felt as the actual action was rushed and over really quickly. I loved the down to earth nature of Isabel's character and the fact that Marc is able to bring out her out of shell and into the woman she has been hiding.
This is the well written sequel and I really enjoyed it. I am a huge fan of AJ Walters. Emile is still evil and up to no good. Marc is trying to do what is best to keep up with his research and keep Izzy. Izzy is an amazing character that has grown so much in the books that you are rooting for her every which way. The series is very intriguing and unique. I thoroughly enjoy it. I look forward to more from this author.
Wow! What an emotional roller coaster compare to the first book! Great follow-up book and kinda sad that it has to end already and so soon!!! It would've been nice to see how Isabel's kids will handle the situation on meeting Marc. There's just so much more to go on after everything that had happen, this series could've definitely use one more book ;).
I really enjoyied Reading An constant Attraction! I loved the development of Marc's and Isabel's relationship! It is a honest , sexy and genuine read. Loved the point of views of the main characters! Can't wait for book three as feel there is still more to tell! I recommend this wonderful book! A great read xx
A great book continuing Marc and Isabel's story. The plot twists and turns, there is the fantastic chemistry between the lovers that we experienced in the first book and even a couple of villains to boo. The narrative flows well and involves the reader every step of the way. A fantastic finale to two wonderful characters and their journey.
