***Fake Dating, Strangers-to-lovers, Steamy Hockey Rom-Com***
“All’s fair in love, hockey, and podcast syndication.”
All I wanted was a tiny interview to secure my podcast syndication deal.
What I didn’t expect? That my big break would hinge on Hunter Reed—the NHL’s newest golden boy, full-time playboy, and the guy who mistook me for a puck bunny at Oakley’s bar.
Hunter Reed is six-foot-two of attitude, muscle, and maddening charm. He’s the kind of clickbait fans obsess over and network execs would kill for—and exactly the kind of man I swore I’d never chase. Especially not after our less-than-stellar first encounter... and second... and third.
But when a Date-A-Player charity auction, his manipulative ex, and a very public kiss force us into a fake relationship, suddenly I’m not just chasing the story—I’m living it.
Now he’s crashing on the other side of my queen-sized bed. Covering my living expenses. Washing my car in a Speedo in the middle of December. And somehow worming his way into my life one sarcastic grin at a time.
The more he shows up—with pre-game texts, surprise Post-its, and family dinners like he’s always belonged—the harder it is to remember this is supposed to be pretend.
But with his ex-girlfriend circling, trade rumors heating up, my career hanging by a thread, and feelings I never planned for complicating everything, I have to choose:
As an avid reader myself, and a Westcoast girl, I love two things: swoon-worthy pro athlete book boyfriends, and writing stories about them living in the beautiful Northwest where I'm blessed to call home.
I do my best work late at night after I’ve tucked in my three littles, and my hard-working husband.
This was a sweet and sassy Hockey Romance about a player who has been down on his luck and a feisty podcaster who wants to get his story. They end up teaming up for a fake relationship that can scratch both their backs, and maybe a few other itches too!
This was so charming and I had the best time listening to it, basically all in one sitting. I loved Peyton's take on sports podcasting and her dreams of syndication. She really needs an interview with Hunter Reed to get herself taken more seriously. When he gets off on the wrong foot with her, she thinks that's that.
Only, Hunter's pushy and controlling ex-girlfriend shows up to meddle and buy him in a Date-a-Player Charity auction, He pegs Peyton to step up and "purchase" him and pretend to be his girlfriend. In exchange, he will give her multiple interviews and also... move in with her?
Yeah... the plot may have went a little whacky with that one. BUT, we love a forced proximity and only one bed situation, so it works out nicely. They were adorable together and I enjoyed their banter, and fun little scavenger hunts and more!
I also enjoyed both of their families and how each of them supported each other in different ways. That was heartwarming and made me so happy.
I had a great time with this story and I look forward to more from the Hawkeyes world.
Narrated by Austin Stone and Megan Wicks, though it was in dual format, text messages were read in duet format. Very good!

"Because for once in my life, I want to be the kind of man who deserves you."
i think i may have found one of my new favorite hockey romances, because i LOVED THIS!
hunter is literally the most thoughtful man and he was so attentive to everything peyton said and did. like that's just so sweet! he took care of peyton's nephew in addition to everything else! also, can we talk about the little sticky note scavenger hunts he created for peyton? that's literally the most creative and fun thing like ever. i also loved peyton's character because it was such a refreshing take on a sports romance with her being a sports podcaster. she so happened to need to land an interview with hunter to get her syndication deal. anyway, hunter and peyton are literally everything with their chemistry, tension, and banter. while reading this book, i found myself laughing, giggling, blushing, and even crying. it's that good!!
overall, this was such an enjoyable and cute story, and if you like a hockey romance with fake dating, forced proximity, and he falls first, then this is definitely worth checking out!
this was the first book i read by this author, and i'm definitely looking forward to reading more! especially the first book in this series to find out more about the first couple. i can't wait for the 3rd book!
˗ˋˏ ୨୧ thank you to Chasing Books PR and Kenna King for the digital arc in exchange for an honest review! ୨୧ ˎˊ˗
Fake dating and hockey? This book was made for me.
Hunter is the classic hockey bad boy with a messy past and a reputation, but underneath all that swagger is the sweetest, most thoughtful guy. I love a character who looks like trouble on the outside but is pure cinnamon roll inside, and Hunter fits the bill perfectly. The way he paid attention to what Peyton needed and genuinely wanted to help her was everything.
And Peyton? She had no idea what was coming for her. I adored her as a female sportscaster. It was such a refreshing twist and added a fun layer to the story. Her banter with Hunter was top-tier. She wasn’t afraid to talk smack right back to him, which made for some truly hilarious and flirty moments.
The plot kept me hooked, and the addition of the classic “bitchy ex” definitely spiced things up. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to put the book down.
If you’re into hockey, fake dating, and a hefty dose of spice with all the feels, this series is one to keep your eye on. I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait to see what’s next!
I read the first book in this series a few months back and loved it, so I was excited to dive into this book! Peyton is on a mission to interview Hunter for her podcast, but getting to him is a bit tricky since he’s not a fan of talking to the media. When things seem complicated, Hunter has a favor to ask Peyton: he needs someone to pretend to be his girlfriend. They end up striking a deal and helping each other out.
Hunter is a hockey player with a rough past. There’s been a scandal surrounding him that everyone is curious about, but he’s pretty tight-lipped and prefers to keep things private. All he wants is to focus on playing hockey and show everyone that he deserves a spot on the team. Despite his broody and grumpy exterior, he’s a sweetheart. I loved how he supports Peyton, is flirty while respecting her boundaries, and genuinely wants to see her succeed.
Peyton is a strong and independent character! After her dreams of becoming a tennis player were dashed due to injury, she channels her passion into creating a sports podcast. Her determination and tenacity are inspiring, and the banter between her and Hunter is so fun. She knows how to make him feel at ease, and slowly but surely, he starts to open up to her.
Their chemistry is off the charts right from the beginning! I enjoyed watching their relationship progress naturally from strangers to friends, and eventually, to lovers. When they decide to take their relationship seriously, it’s clear they’re all in and ready to make sacrifices for each other. The side characters are fantastic too; I loved the camaraderie among the hockey players. There are plenty of swoon-worthy and funny moments, and towards the end, there are some emotional scenes too. I’m having such a great time with this series and can’t wait to read the next book!
*I was given this book as an eArc but my review is based solely on my own thoughts and opinions*
Normally, I’m writing down notes while I read so I can collect my thoughts and give you a proper review. However, I was so sucked into this book, I read it so fast I barely put down my kindle. The only thing I typed up was: The banter between the teammates crack me up. lol. I think I’m finding that I really like this author. I adored the first book and now this one!? So good, can wait for the 3rd book.
Kenna King did it again. This was such a cute story and I am just obsessed with the way Kenna creates the cutest stories with the perfect amount of spice and swoon worthy hockey players.
Tropes - fake dating - forced proximity - sticky notes - plant children - spice - golden retriever MMC - he takes care of her
hockey romance with a podcast host? Yes please. I loved this take on hockey romance and the fake dating trope was PERFECT for them. It's so easy to read and a great next book in the series! I would recommend reading Match Penalty before you read this so you can fully appreciate the friend group.
Read this if you're in the mood for... - hockey romance - fake dating - forced proximity (a pillow wall lol iykyk) - found family friend group - texting banter - he pranks her
The banter in this book was SO good. I love the playfulness of their relationship with pranks and teasing but also the trust and vulnerability they have with each other at the same time. So sweet. The moments when they realize it's not fake anymore? THE BEST.
ARC REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (for content not quantity)
Wow. This is the first book I’ve read by Kenna King and let me start by saying it will NOT be the last.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa…hold on just a second.” “Is that an excuse you planned to give her when you couldn’t get it up?”
When Peyton Collins is given a shot at her dream career she hoped that the playboy defensemen for the hawkeyes was the answer to achieving it. And who better than an exclusive interview with Hunter Reed, private, unwavering and silent on all things personal. But in a twist of fate, Hunter needs Peytons help. An interview for a temporary girlfriend. What could go wrong?
“Because for once in my life, I want to be the kind of man who deserves you.”
Swoon. Hunter Reed is all things hot, funny and charming. With the witty banter back and forth between Peyton and Hunter, I definitely found myself laughing, gasping, blushing and of course…. Crying. Because apparently Kenna King likes to tug on the heart strings and she did it fabulously. I really enjoyed the characters, the relationship building, the spice was not lacking and the story itself really was something to enjoy.
“Keep your eyes open, Collins. - watch what I do to you.”
EXCUSE ME. 🥵
Don’t let that sweet little cover fool you. This book will bring you spice that will make you blush whilst not being nothing but spice. King wrote the spice/ plot balance incredibly well where you didn’t feel like you were missing any of either side.
‼️‼️ It’s important to note there are mentions of Cancer within this story (neither of the MCs) but it is done with respect. As there are no trigger warnings for this book, I do think it important to mention this! ‼️‼️

Fake Dating Hockey Player X Sports Podcaster HEA He Falls First Rom-com Golden Retriever MMC Cancer TW Ex Drama
ARC REVIEW 5 ⭐️ I think I just found my favorite new hockey series… I fell in love with the Hawkeyes Hockey team after reading the Bleacher Report. Hunter is a known playboy hockey player trying to escape his past. Peyton is a podcaster who is just within grasp of her dreams signing with a network. She knows that if she can get an interview with Hunter where he divulges his past she is guaranteed a network deal. When some of Hunters past collides with the present, he gives Peyton a proposition she can’t resist. Three interviews for a few months of fake dating, living together and sharing a bed, how bad can it be?
Peyton and Hunter had beautiful chemistry throughout the entire book. KennaKing does a phenomenal job of making their story feel real and personable. I loved watching the two of them work together, laugh with each other and let their guard down. There were so many laugh out loud moments, especially when Hunter teases Peyton with his sticky note scavenger hunts and flirty humor. It was sweet to see Hunter be vulnerable and trust her with his story and his heart. Peyton was a really admirable character watching her chase her dreams and fight for what she wants. Peyton and Hunter work so well together and I loved how their relationship felt real. The Bleacher Report will have you laughing, crying, and swooning from start to finish.
A huge thank you to Chasing Books PR and Kenna King for the ARC.
Peyton needs one big interview to lock in a syndication deal for her podcast and hockey star Hunter Reed is the key. But Hunter isn’t interested in talking until he finds himself needing a favor from Peyton. They strike a personal deal that leads them to fake date to help each other out. What neither of them expects is how real things start to feel.
Meghan Wicks and Austin Stone are perfect as Peyton and Hunter. Their chemistry is electric, and they nail every moment, from the light, flirty scenes to the emotionally charged ones. This story is sweet, fun, and full of heart. Definitely add it to your TBR!
Thank you, Kenna King and Must Love Audio for the ALC.
KENNA!!!!! What the heck did you put in this?? Bc I freaking DEVOURED it! I read a lot of hockey romance books and this is definitely up there as one of my favorites I’ve read this year. This book was SO SO GOOD!!
READ THIS BOOK.
Hunter and Peyton were everything I needed and more. The chemistry, the banter, tension.. 👏🏻 like seriously he brought home a French bulldog CHIA PET & said we can be plant parents bc she wanted a dog but didn’t have time for one. Excuse me, what?? 😩😭 I’m actually obsessed with him.

“All’s fair in love, hockey, and podcast syndication”
Kenna King shows out with the second book in the interconnected stand alone Hawkeye’s Rookie Series, Bleacher Report. It’s been awhile since I have audibly laughed out loud at a book, but this one had me rolling.

Thank you so much Kenna and Chasing Books PR for the gift of being an ARC reader for Bleacher report!!
Peyton has one goal, let’s get Bleacher Report syndicated girl! But goals sometimes can come with mountains to climb first… specifically a six-foot-two named Hunter sized mountain, who she so happens to need to land an interview with.
Hunter has been out of the spotlight and into the puck bunnies since coming back from the farm team with simple goals… don’t talk about New Jersey, make sure his mom isn’t lying about her health, and stay on an NHL team, ya know just simple things. Peyton needed the attention that Hunter would bring to get the executives attention, and well Hunter… put his foot in his mouth the first time meeting Peyton, and isn’t the kind of man that Peyton wants to give any attention too but goals… right? But a whirlwind from Hunter’s past shows up at the Date-a-Player charity auction, Hunter’s charm, Peyton’s desire to keep her voice heard, and a very passionate public kiss with the most ineligible bachelor can only lead to one thing. A fake relationship. Peyton is used to asking about the stories, not living one.
Kenna takes you through what I can only describe as a love story that will have you slapping your partner and being like if they dont kiss soon I am going to throw my Kindle, or reading off new names for your bed, or asking them why don’t you do sticky note scavenger hunts (and his response is because I value my life I will just bring you chocolate). I truly mean it when I say I was cackling and crying all in the same night over this damn book but it is easily one of the best books I’ve read all year. brb as I go read all her other books…
i think my frontal lobe is developing because I actually couldn't bear to finish this book. I've now got to find something academic to read because this has genuinely fried some of my brain cells - i'm also 99% sure it was written with ai.

Thank you so much for letting me ARC your amazing book! I love your work so much! I would love to do more ARC and maybe PR work in the future! If you ever need someone to do an unboxing, I GOT YOU.
I love how he is just like the black lab he always wanted. Loyal, kind, caring and more. He literally bought her tampons, Advil, a heating blanket, and enough chocolate to last through an apocalypse. And he knew they both always wanted a dog growing up, so he bought a chia pet in the shape of a bulldog.
OH MY GOD HE IS THE KING OF LOVE. The scavenger hunts?! The grand gestures?! He is the PERFECT man.
I love how Peyton understands his trauma and helps him. She lets him be himself without judgement or annoyance. She knows what it feels like to lose a parent and a dream. Yet, she was able to step up and help another person's trauma.
I cried so hard during this book you don't even KNOW. I stayed up till 1:43 AM for this book, YALL KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE TO SLEEP.
I mean this book broke me like a glow stick and then healed me.
Everyone and everything about this book just made me feel like I was in the stadium with them or doing a podcast episode with Peyton.
I hope to read all of the books this amazing author writes. It's on my bucket list now to own them all! I wished I started at the first book! I hope that if anyone is reading this review and happens to own all the books, MY MAILBOX IS WIDE OPEN!
So I wasn’t a total noob when it came to the fake dating trope but I think Kenna King has made me absolutely obsessed with it. Here we have Peyton who is a highly driven sports podcast host really trying to make it in the big leagues and then Hunter who is a relatively surly hockey player with a media infested sordid past. After a few drunken remarks and some sassy comebacks our main characters find themselves in a deal where they’ll both come out on top. And we let the romantic chaos ensure 🥰
The pacing stays nice and quick while leaning strongly into inner monologues. I really enjoy them though and it kept things progressing when you could see those inner quips paired up with some verbal sparring. I thought it also was kind of a social commentary on how media presence in people’s lives can be so potentially harmful along side the pressure and scrutiny to perform perfectly within the corporate/sports world.
I absolutely loved how each characters families played huge roles in how their relationship developed. For our spice 🌶️ lovers out there you definitely get a front row seat to some well written steamy scenes. Even though the book was somewhat predictable it still left a warm feeling in my chest and I look forward to learning more about The Roomie Hawkeyes series in the future. Hunter is completely swoon worthy and Peyton really makes you feel like you should also go for your dreams ⛸️🏒🎤
Thank you to Chasing Books PR and Kenna King for providing me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
Always a dame for the faking dating game! Or trope. Whatever. I just wanted that to rhyme 🤣
There’s just something so satisfying about rules being laid down with stone-cold faces and fierce determination… only for every single one to get broken by the end. Classic!!!!
Hunter and Peyton are both juggling more than they can handle. Peyton’s hustling for a career-making podcast deal, while Hunter’s just trying to stay afloat. He’s dodging a messy ex, worrying about the parent he left behind in Jersey, and kicking off the hockey career he’s been dreaming of. Naturally, the solution? A fake dating scheme. And of course, that means rules. Rules that were clearly made just to be broken.
What I loved was how easy everything felt. Their chemistry, the banter, the little moments that made you smile. And the girl gang? Always a highlight. They give you that “I wish I could pull up a chair and join in” kind of vibe.
Overall, it was a fun, swoony, low-stress read. The exact kind of thing I love about picking up a Kenna King book. Her stories are simple in the best way, easy to fall into, and every character just feels like someone you want to root for. Is it too early to start declaring favorites? Maybe. But it’s only book two, and I already can’t wait for the rest of the series!
Super happy I get to see Slade and Coach Wrenley and still be reminded of the previous series. Low-key waiting on Everett and Aria, too!
Kenna King's *Bleacher Report* is truly an engaging masterpiece that captivated my interest from the very first word! It follows the journey of Peyton, a podcaster with a remarkable gift for storytelling, and Hunter, a charismatic hockey player whose effortless charm draws others in. As their worlds beautifully intertwine, readers are invited on a vivid adventure that spans from the exhilaration of high-stakes hockey to the delightful ambiance of a lively bar brimming with laughter, and even the sophistication of a heartwarming charity auction. Every meticulously crafted detail breathes life into these enchanting moments.
What resonated with me particularly was the intimacy woven through their shared experiences, such as enjoying authentic Thai cuisine after a long day and the endearing quirks of cohabitation, which included whimsical sticky notes and a Chia Pet. King's storytelling gracefully explores profound themes of family, love, and resilience. The emotional narrative surrounding a mother's struggle with illness adds significant depth, showcasing the impact on Peyton and Hunter’s bond. I found myself fully immersed in their journey, experiencing a spectrum of emotions from heartbreak to pure joy as they navigated various challenges. It’s a heartwarming, uplifting tale filled with humor and genuine connection that I wholeheartedly recommend!
The narration by Austin Stone and Megan Wicks further enhances this incredible story. Their outstanding performances breathe life into each character, creating a narrative that feels both authentic and relatable. Austin Stone’s voice perfectly captures Hunter's confidence and charm, while Megan Wicks brilliantly embodies Peyton’s vibrant spirit. Their remarkable portrayals transform moments like interviews, coffee shop chats, and Thanksgiving gatherings into unforgettable experiences, drawing me deeper into the characters’ world and ensuring their touching story resonates long after it concludes.
This was my first book by Kenna King and I’ll tell you now, I’m a big fan!! I’m excited to read more from her
I went into this book in such a reading slump and left completely refreshed. The banter in this book had me laughing and full on giddy.
Peyton is offered a shot at an opportunity that would make all her dreams come true. The catch, she has to lock down an interview with Hunter Reed to secure her dreams. Yet, attaching what she needs is going to be harder than she originally thought. He’s private and doesn’t like anything about his personal life out there.
As fate would have it, Hunter needs her too.
There wasn’t a single thing that I didn’t love about Hunter. He comes off as the hockey bad boy because of something that happened in the past. But his reputation doesn’t even come close to how he really is. He is incredibly sweet, charming, thoughtful and does things without people knowing. He really paid attention to spoken and unspoken details of Peyton. Wanted to help her out and be there for her.
The freaking post it notes cracked me up. I loved the humor from Hunter with those.
Fake Dating... Check, A Playboy NHL Defenceman on thin ice already after 1 encounter... Check, A reader who lapped it all up and didn't want to put it down...Check.
The Bleacher Report is a rising podcast whose creator, Peyton, is gaining the traction she needs to secure herself a deal, however what she really needs is the help of Hunter Reed, the not so rookie, rookie who doesn't talk to podcasters and not about his past, so when he is in need of a fake girlfriend he is more than happy to help her secure her deal in exchange.
I finished this last night and haven't been able to stop thinking about it since, I went straight to the bonus chapter and lapped that up, the chemistry between these two was electrifying in all the best ways, the journey to get them to their HEA was incredible, I loved seeing all the characters from the first book make another appearance, and I can't wait to see more from this extended family.
I would highly recommend this series and previous books that Kenna has written, For fans of Hockey Romances, Strangers to Lovers, Fake Dating, Banter, Forced Proximity, and some very delicious spicy goodness.

Okay THAT was WOWWWW. I DID NOT EXPECT IT TO BE THIS GOOD BUT OMG? to say I loved this would be an understatement. it was near perfection. I received an ARC for this book but unfortunately life happened and i couldn't get to it on time but now that I have, i regret not reading it sooner. This had character depth, character development, a funny MMC and such good chemistry. the story was not at all rushed and if flowed so well. they really got to know each other. the scavenger hunts, the plant parent thing, the movie nights, the podcasts: it was all so so fun.
"And yeah, I’ve been keeping tabs on it—checking her sub numbers once…maybe twice a day. Would I do that for anyone else? Probably not, but her success feels like I’m winning too."
"You said your life was too chaotic for a puppy. I figured we could try chaos together."
"she’s the only person in my life right now who doesn’t want anything from me. Not my money. Not my name. Not control. Nothing except a few interviews and a kid’s career day. But when she smiles—when she’s not rolling her eyes at me—there’s something about her that makes it easy to breathe."
Thank you Kenna King & Chasing Book PR for the opportunity to read and review Bleacher Report!
This was my first Kenna King book and it definitely will not be my last. When I tell you I could not put this book down, I basically read 75% of it in one day 🫠 toddler needed me?! Nope sorry, mama is busy!
Hunter Hunter Hunter 🥵 this man was swoon worthy. He definitely needed redeeming after his first interaction with Peyton, but boy did he make up for being a complete jerk. Hunter quickly realized he needs Peyton’s help and is completely hooked from their first kiss. I love a good hockey player auction scene so that made my heart giddy! I always enjoy a good care taking man who remembers the little details, like Peyton’s favorite tea. Those little details make all the difference especially in a fake dating trope.
„And damn it, my smirk turns into a full-blown smile. God help me, fake dating Peyton might actually turn out to be fun.”
A man might tell you your beautiful, but Hunter told Peyton, „Sometimes it fucking hurts to look straight at you… like you’re the goddamn sun." 😍
I love how Hunter not only takes care of Peyton, but her nephew Jesse and Sproutacus 🤣 he shows her just how selfless and opposite he is of how media portrays him.
I cannot wait to dive into more of the Hawkeye series!
I had decided to read all Kenna King’s book before Bleacher Report because while reading Match Penalty something felt off. There was a world of characters and events I did not know anything about. And I’m so happy I did because the experience of reading Bleacher Report was even better than I expected.
Every male character she writes is better than the other – don’t worry Brent, you’re still my favorite alongside Coach Bex – and Hunter doesn’t disappoint in the least. I loved reading about him while he slowly began to trust Peyton – even though the way they started wasn’t the best – and be there for her family without making a big fuss about it.
Also, Peyton is such a strong female character, driven and most of all, she wasn’t scared to call Hunter out when he acted like an idiot. You know the book is going to be good when the FMC and MMC are enemies at the beginning of the book.
Oh, and the scavenger hunts Hunter organised?? I mean… incredible!
Thank you Chasing Books PR and Kenna for trusting me to be your arc reader again.
Audiobook Review 🎧 Narrated by Megan Wicks and Austin Stone
This was a fun and quick read! I love a fake dating trope, I’ll eat it up every time! Hunter is actually super adorable, and I loved how Peyton is a sports podcaster! We need more FMCs in sports because I’m such a sports girlie and it’s so fun seeing FMCs who know sports and love them just as much!!
The banter and chemistry between these two was SO GOOD. I really loved the playfulness between them. Hunter was so much more than what I thought at first! He’s so thoughtful and really paid attention to Peyton. I loved how he was helping out and doing things without her even knowing.. he really showed how big his heart is.
I’m really enjoying this series and can’t wait to see what’s next!
The audio wasn’t really my favorite though. These are newer to me narrators, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the male narration. It just was a little cringy to me at times, I couldn’t really pinpoint what it was.. but it definitely could’ve just been a me thing 🥲 I really enjoyed the story though, and the female narration was really good!
💜 Fake Dating 💜 Hockey Romance 💜 Strangers to lovers 💜 He falls first 💜 She's a sports podcaster 💜 He calls her "Passenger Princess"
Kenna King does it again! This sweet and sexy story of podcaster Peyton and hockey playboy, Hunter, had me feeling all gooey inside. I loved how Peyton stayed true to herself! When tough choices came up, she made them from the heart. The fake-dating trope is done well with Peyton and Hunter's relationship progressing naturally. There's great banter, wonderful supporting characters (though I would have loved to see more of Peyton's brother), a good villain, just the right amount of spice, and a swoon worthy HEA - what more could you ask for?
Just like her books from the original Hawkeyes Hockey series, I read this book in 2 days. Easy, fun read if you enjoy sports romance!
Thanks to Kenna and Chasing Books PR for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is my first Kenna book, and I really liked it. This was a little deeper than the normal Hockey Romance fluff that I love, there are a few sensitive topics in the book, so just check those before starting. Hunter & Peyton have a super rocky start to meeting each other, but from out of the gate the banter and quick quips between them keep you interested.
There are just so many cute moments and Hunters golden retriever energy is full out once he gets to know Peyton. He also does a good grovel after their first fight, and at the end of the book he has a really great grand gesture.
I loved them together, and I love'd the good vibes from Hunters mom, and Peytons family. I should note though that there is ex drama from Hunter that impacts the FMC. No miscommunication trope but there is the super hero complex from Peyton.

Is there a book on Abby and Peyton’s brother? I need that.
I have seen and added many Kenna King books to my TBRs and virtual carts and had somehow never read anything by her prior to this. I can promise you I’ll now be going into her back catalog to read more. This book was a lot of fun, a very interesting story, and made me feel all the things.
Hunter is definitely a top book boyfriend contender. Don’t get me started on the glittery surprise 😂😂
