Jessica wanted to believe Nathan was a changed man. The lust filled promises he made in bed are no match for the reality that she's now holding in the palm of her hand. Sex drives men like Nathan Moore. She suspected it, then experienced it and now there's absolutely no denying it.
She knows what the right thing to do is. He knows that he's never met anyone like her.
Jessica struggles to forget him as Nathan's desire for her consumes him. His compulsive need to possess her pushes him in ways that will change them both forever.
Just how far is Nathan Moore willing to go to have the one woman he claims he can't live without?
Deborah Bladon has never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She's a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you can often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan is definitely her second home.
She cherishes her family and believes that each day is a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.
In Pulse, part 1-2 small-town girl Jessica Roth, Jess had one-night stand with enigmatic attorney, Nathan Moore, Nate. But then became Jessica became Ms. Wednesday night. But that was quickly complicated by conflicting emotions, lies, secret and deceit.
Pulse, part 3 picks up after part 2’s devastating ending. Nate has a lot of explaining to do and their rocky strictly-sex-relationship is put through the wringer. Trust Nathan to resort to mind-blowing sex to open up lines of communication…. JESSICA ROTH, Jess, Jessie: 23 years/Former paramedic/Aspiring chef/Blond hair/Blue eyes.
Five words to describe Jessica Roth, Jess: Indecisive, conflicted, weak, annoying and needy. NATHAN MOORE, Nate: 30 (31) years/Attorney/$$$$/Black hair/Light blue eyes.
Six words to describe Nathan Moore, Enigmatic, complex, secretive, distant, demanding and commanding.
Just like previous parts Nathan throws me yet another shocking curb ball! There is no other option, but for me to skip on over to part 4 Pulse IV for the conclusion of their story.
Scorching sex scenes! Addictive plot!

Would I re-read this series: Probably not. Would I read future books by this author: Yes.
Hmmm.... Pulse part 3 is bit weak compares to the previous 2. There are a lot of cheesy love declaration in part 3. Nathan and Jessica finally get their act together and have a their moment of bliss.
Miss Bladon doing telling instead of showing. I think it is OK since I have enough showing in the previous 2 books.
The cliffhanger is kind of suck. But heu, I still want to finish the story.
I don't even know where to begin. This book has me frustrated. These short story are killing me. Another fknnn CLIFFHANGER!!!!!
So Nate/Nathan.... Where to begin with him... I feel like I am Jess the idiot that falls for everything he says because, HELLO he is a sex god. I know he cares about her deep down inside, he is such a complicated guy so full of lies it repulsive. But why do I still like him, I honestly don't know.
Right now after what she heard him saying to drew I feel like I got punched in the stomach. They're friends and made a wager out of her. Repulsive!!!! - I still feel like he actually has feeling for her though but if I was Jess I would throw a cup full of beer on him and then slap the shit out of him. I can't wait for book four when that douche bag turns around and sees her. The worst part is Drew being his friend or what ever he is purposely let her hear him... With friends like him why would you need enemies.
Back to Nathan. He's always saying he doesn't like to lie but he's been lying all along. I hope to god that Jess makes him suffer a little and doesn't fall into his web of lies.
I am hopeful this story will be wrapped in book 4. One more week to Pulse 4 (July 1st)
Nathan was showing so much promise, becoming the Prince Charming that I wantANDchoose to read about, well, an R-rated version. Changing his man-whore ways because he was falling for the perfect girl…
And then just as he did to Jessica, he ripped my heart out. Being way too emotionally invested, and craving my happily-ever-after, I could not ignore this book; I counted down the days until release day, liked the author’s facebook page AND joined her mailing list.
Jessica was humiliated, embarrassed, and suffering as her heart is being shattered which turns into an irrational, yet completely justifiable rampage towards Nathan, only for have him to have an answer for every single question.
I wanted so badly to hate him, I really did. I wasn't going to forgive him, I didn't think I could forgive him, I was beyond upset, I have never been so mad at an author on the final page of a book.
I more than despise him. And Deborah for making me feel this strongly about a fictional character.
I tried to have an open-mind when I started reading, and much to my disbelief, I found myself fighting the same battle as Jessica, you know, the battle between what your heart wants and the over-analyzing your brain does trying to convince your heart that it can’t be right, no matter how badly you try to fight it, you just can’t, the heart wants what it wants.
And even though I didn't want to forgive him, I DID.
Honestly, how could I not forgive him? A hot, seductive, almost-too-aggressive, dirty-mouthed, man turned prince charming: THE lawyer edition.
As I finally started to accept that this was the happily ever after I had hoped for, Nathan becoming perfect for Jessica, making an effort to prove himself to her, fulfilling his promises to Jessica… And then, in an instant, he proved me wrong and now I am crushed, my heart has been re-broken, and now he is completely UNFORGIVABLE.
My hate for Nathan is stronger than before and I know now, that I DO NOT want my once desired happily ever after, I want Jessica to seek sweet revenge!
OH. MY. GOD. By far the best of the series and the best series by Deborah!! I know how some hate cliff hangers but this one was amazing!!! I was seriously excited when I saw the book was 90% done and it wasn't resolving! I must have not heard that there was going to be another book because I was giddy that I didn't have to give Nathan up yet! He is so hot and yummy and yes he pisses me off to no end but I know there is some story there that has yet to unfold!!! I have an inkling about a few things that may come to pass in Part 4 but that makes it more intriguing!!!! To avoid sounding like a blubbering idiot with this review because my brain has yet to grasp the complete awesomeness I just read I will leave it at this........read this book you will not be disappointed!!!!
What in f#%k just happened!?!?! This series is insane, in the best way! The ending made me gasp out loud. Wow. The story is just getting more sexy and nail-biting as i read. I love it! 5+ mindless-orgasm-stars!******
5 -you never get annoyed with Deborah's writing- Stars <3
Nathan
OMG I can't believe it...Nathan is so full of surprises!!! When I was wondering myself what cliffhanger would this one be...the surprise was huge! Who would have thought??!! Nathan you piece of, stop hurting that poor girl!! Deborah this part three was awesome...the sex was superhot and the dirty talking of both heroes too!! I'm so sorry for Jessica. ..that poor girl is going to get crazy if Nathan surprises her with new shit every then and now! Can't wait for book 4!!
What an asshole. Caught red handed! No way out of this one scumbag! I knew Drew was off too but I didn't see that coming w Nathan. (Nothing sexual) Nathan ugh, just stop now, it's enough, your an asshole, how much can she take ?? Mixed feelings but if it's me she should cut her losses.
If you have read Pulse 1 and 2 then you have read 3. I was not surprised by anything in this novella and I already guessed the end from the beginning. I find myself annoyed and unimpressed with Deborah's leading men and Nathan is no different. He is a douche and Drew is bitter. Jessica is so full of bad luck that she happens to find two of the worse men in Manhattan to mess around with. Also, what happened to Jake?
This novella, naturally, is a short one but I was actually interested in the story and it's direction until I got to the end that emulates all the ones before and that's with Nathan putting his feet in his mouth once again. How many times can your trust be broken before there is none left? That should probably be the blurb for this entire series and 99¢ or not, no one really wants to stop just when things hit the fan again, except for me of course because I am just over these two and want theirs to end so Deborah can start on her next novella series.
The thing with this story is not that I hate it; I actually like the fact that Jessica occasionally stands up for herself and that she takes what she wants without succumbing to Nathan's charms with a not so solid explanation. I have always felt that the women in 'Pulse' and 'Obsessed' deserved better men. Jax redeemed himself in 'More Obsessed' but Nathan just get's on my nerves especially with his weak explanations!
We continue to skim the personal elements in exchange for the deceit and sex. The sex isn't that marvelous but the sex talk and sometimes the conversation leading up to the sex are funny. Yes, funny. I think they have an easy banter and relationship that makes for a good fuck buddy but when it comes to tossing around the 'L' word, I don't believe it.
Rebecca is an odd character and I don't know what her issues are this go, while Bryce confuses me because I really don't see his need in this series and I am able to pick apart all these small things because while it is fast paced, chuck full of sex and confrontations, that's all it is. There is no personal element for me to connect with any of the characters and then it ends just as the next screw up arrives.
I think this is another basic Deborah Bladon story line that gets you interested and drops you in the end so I already expect most of what happens because there is a trend in all her novellas that don't get me excited any more. I will read them, because they are good but my excitement level isn't high because I already know the progression and ending and this isn't me being a cynical romance reader.
Pulse is the story of Jessica Roth and Nathan Moore. Jessica, who was dumped by her boyfriend moved to New York to start a new life. She meets Nathan Moore, an attorney, by chance and their worlds collide in all sorts of ways.
Nathan is a womanizer, who only has one night stands and has a hotel room where he takes his conquests. This one night turns into many as they cannot seem to get enough of each other. The story continues in each book, each book having some sort of cliff hanger ending.
These books are short and to the point and I loved each and every one of them. They pack a punch and you find yourself turning the pages and wanting more. I was lucky, because all four of these great books were out, so I was able to read them all in one go, however, in saying that there is to be a fifth in the series, which I am hanging out to read.
I give these books a five star rating and look forward to the next in the series.

Completely loved it! Their emotions were all over the place but in a good working out the kinks in the relationship way. The story drives so quickly that it took me less than an hour to finish it.
This has been one of the most satisfying series that I have read in a while and it keeps on coming back to impress. I am loving this author and I cannot wait to read more from her.
If there was a problem with this story is was the fact that the fourth one was not out yet when I first finished it :( But it's out now so go out and buy it. Even if you are waiting for all the books to come in a bundle you probable wouldn't save that much so be happy and buy it now!!!!!
Not the strongest installment of this series. I was confused by some of the events and honestly, completely flabbergasted that the men in these books can't see how the constant lying and withholding information deteriorates relationships. are they THAT dense about human relationships? this series is addicting in it's own way and i'll finish it, mainly b/c they all end on cliffhangers so i want to know what happens. but as a woman who was in a relationship with a chronic liar, i have serious doubts that any explanation Nathan gives Jessica in the end of all this will be enough to justify all his behavior thus far.
I enjoyed reading 1 and 2. At the end of 2, I was really curious to see how the auth writes it out in 3 cuz the cliffy was a doozy, major gol. Well, his explanations totally did not make sense, at all. It was straight outta the handbook for liars and boy did Jess disappoint. I was rooting for her but in the end, she made her bed (lol) and now she'll lie in it w/ a major douche.
I have a love/hate relationship w/ Deborah Bladon. I've read her Obsessed and Exposed series and I love her plots twists but hate her lack of characterization. But yet I keep reading...
Hopefully this will be the weakest link in the series and 4 will be better...i hope.
REALLY!!!! Is this all this story is about. Nathan needs to die in a blaze of glory. Jessica is stupid and greedy for sex and willingly allows Nathan to use her. She needs to be done. Nathan doesn't love her. Despite what he says, it is clear that she is only a conquest. I'm going to read the last book but will not read anything else by Ms. Bladon. Her writing style is not fluid at all. The scene jumping is frustrating!!! I do not like it at all.
i don't quiet understand, why Nathan is so crazy about Jessica, and why Drew keep on chasing Jessica, i do know that Jessica is great, hot and sexy in the hell, but....
I was totally hating Jessica for being so pushy with Nathan, I was like "Awww he's changing and he really wants her and she's being a bitch" and then BAM! another cliffhanger and Nathan really sucks.... damn, that's a way to keep the reader hooked Ms. Blandon... starting book 4 like now!
OMG!! The whiplash this book is giving me is insane! Right when we think the douchebag H is finally redeeming himself, the author throws another crazy twist into the mix!! Seriously, I don't know whether to love or hate this, but it sure as hell is an entertaining read!
