There is unrest as harsh times fall upon Elundium. However there is still hope, for magic is returning to battle the Company of Murderers in their attempt to dethrone Thane and return the Chancellors to Power. Nevian, Master of Magic, takes on the crippled sweep's boy, Drib, as his apprentice.

This series deserves more ratings than it has so far. I've enjoyed most every moment of all six novel so far.
In this sixth Loremasters of Elundium novel, the story continues exactly where the fifth novel ends. We follow Drib as he continues to learn from Nevian, and I have to say that Drib once again is the standout character.
Even though it seems at times that the plot of this novel at times mimics the plot of the first trilogy, there are enough points of difference to still make this an entertaining read. It's definitely true high fantasy, with a defined good and evil, and builds the story up to what I hope is a thrilling conclusion in the next novel.
