Derek's a bored alpha. His pack (which includes Stiles) is away for college. His uncle suggests Derek gets a job modeling.
Oh and this is part of the Neckz n' Throats universe. If you've never visited this alternate universe, it's a sensual place where werewolves are models for the masses.
The story is told from Derek's POV, it's a little angsty, yummy UST that gets resolved alright.

Derek is bored now that his pack is off to college in Sunnydale (HA!) so he gets a job modeling. Things get interesting (and by interesting I mean hot) when Stiles gets a job at the same agency.

The story eventually got to the cute and the hot, but it took it's sweet, boring time getting there. And the story involved a lot of other people having their hands - and fangs - all over Derek. Okay, but not my favourite.

This is reminiscent of the Neckz n' Throatz world. Derek is bored as his pack is off to college and gets a job as a model for werewolf magazine Alpha.
Stiles ends up getting a summer job there too and when a model gets sick, he is oh-so conveniently available to stand in for a sexy shoot with our favorite sour wolf.
Things to note - these two have been circling each other at a snails pace, each thinking they're being quite obvious in their feelings. Silly boys. This photo op is just the right impetus to get their feelings out in the open so they can get to the important stuff. *wink, wink*
Just broody enough with scorching UST and foreplay! Ends perfectly with a growly shove against the wall and a very heart melting proclamation.

3.5 stars I don't know why I put off reading this for so long. I'm never sure about these Neckz 'n' Throats ones but then I always end up liking them. Even though there isn't all that much Sterek interaction until the end. They have frequent phone calls and Derek references a lot of their interactions, the whole beginning is Derek's working and getting to know him and honestly it was really nice. Then the whole Sterek escalation was in just the last chapter and there wasn't a lot of hemming and hawing or miscommunication, it just went down. I coulda actually used a tad more down if you know what I'm sayin! But anyway, good one, nice short length.

Whew, this was hot!
I greatly appreciated another reviewer mentioning to be prepared for at least pretend intimacy between Derek and people other than Stiles. Derek models with a human woman for a while, and then has one-time shoots with a female werewolf and then two male werewolves. If I weren't prepared I might have taken these shoots much more grumpily.
Making it through those shoots, though, was absolutely worth it to get to the part where Stiles gets a job as an assistant for the same magazine Derek models for. Wow.

"So is it porn?" Stiles says instead of hello. "It is, right? Holy crap, my alpha is a porn star."
"It's not porn," Derek says, trying for a growl, but it just comes off as fondly exasperated because is brain is stuck back on my alpha.
It's just--well, he's been trying to subtly acknowledge Stiles's attraction to him for months, and subtlety isn't working.

WOW Loved it!!! Derek in a magazine doing sexy posses would be a dream come true. The last shoot with Stiles was breathtaking. Yum times TWO!

That was freaking fabulous! I loved the whole modeling gig and Derek's reaction to his partner being pregnant. But the scene between him and Stiles was absolute steaminess.
