Finally, a book where at least most of the focus is on the competitions, in this case a pairs national, from this series. I do think that the lack of focus on skating and the forced and sometimes completely implausible focus on romance is what sunk this book series from being more successful when it was written. This story, though, still has to plod through randomly paired romance before we get to see how the twin team of Katie and Tom do in the National Pairs competition. One of the better books (the best is definitely the first one).
