I received an ARC of “To Curse a Knight” for an honest review.

This is book 2 in the “All the Queen’s Men” series, it is highly suggested to read book 1, “To catch a rook” first.

Rating: 4.5 ⭐️ 3 🌶️

Tropes include:
Found family
Dom / Sub
Burn the world
Nicknames
Torture
Feminine Rage
Cliffhanger
Secrets
Enemies to lovers
Forced proximity

I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Probably more than the first one! I just love when the enemies become lovers and when it seems like there are so many moving pieces, individually, then they all come together in a blaze of glory!
I love the overprotective nature from all MMCs and Hilary too!
We get to relive some past traumas through flashbacks, which give us some much needed insight to the characters and what drives them.
This book shows us how some secrets have been unraveled and mysteries unmasked, though there are still so many questions to be answered.

Hilary showing her vulnerable side, opening up to her men, and giving them the chance to step up for her and each other, for me solidifies the heart of their relationship.

The cliffy at the end? I knew one was coming… but geez! Looking forward to book 3, to have the HEA we are all waiting for!

Happy Reading

ok... I did not see that coming!! 😯 This is series is like the perfect blend of dark, mafia, why choose, levity, action.

And that last line??? Sheeeeeit.

ok once again Kellan and Lauchlan are my boys. Aaron went up a few notches. I was like... too nice... too desperate... NOPE. Damn!

The dark was actually really dark so check your TW. But honestly, Lauchlan makes everything better.

Thank you for the ARC!! I thought there was gonna be 4 books but only 1 left to get and I already know it's gonna be action packed.

AH! The cliffhanger!
The plot thickens with these four! Now that they are all on the same team (give or take a few secrets) that means all their enemies are targeting them at once. Which leaves a heck of a lot of drama! Being attacked by all fronts, not having the upper hand anymore, and scrambling to stay alive. This book had my heart racing! Also, dang… the spice be starting to heat up between the four of them as well.

Now we're getting somewhere!! Both romance and plot REALLY took off in this book. We are seeing the build of the RH, feelings are coming into play, getting into some group scenarios, people are realizing they're in this for the long haul and not just ready to throw in the towel I love it. The drama is all coming to a precipice and in some places already over the cliff. Book 3 is going to be intense to put things lightly.

This book is quite a ride! Be ready for an action-packed story full of revenge plots and spice. Our MMC, Lauch, provides lots of humorous moments. Hillary, the fierce FMC, shows us a more vulnerable side in this book. I liked seeing the characters' interactions and learning how they all fit together. I can't wait to see how everything concludes in book 3.

I said this after reading book 1 but I’m saying it again. Cora has mad skills at the web she has created for these characters. I picture a mind map on a big chalkboard with lots of bubbles and connecting lines as I read 😂 if you’re wanting a book that has plot, amazing characters and the hot AF spice to go along with it all this series is it. I loved seeing more of the relationships develop not just amongst Hillary and her guys but also between the guys themselves 🥵 Lucky by far is my favorite. He brings some much needed light and amusement to the rest of them

I went into To Curse a Knight already knowing I was going to absolutely love it—and I was not disappointed! Cora Flynn’s writing has completely captivated me, and this series is like crack—it’s addictive and impossible to put down. I've been religiously reading all of Cora's books ever since she slid into my DMs telling me to check out her work, and let me tell you, she was spot on. This series has everything I crave: action, steamy tension, complex characters, and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

The pacing was perfect with just the right amount of tension and intrigue to keep me hooked. Every time I thought I had the characters figured out, Cora threw in a curveball that made me fall deeper in love with each of them. I just need more of them in my life!

The chemistry between these characters is off the charts, especially in the steamy scenes. Cora Flynn has a way of writing tension and heat that leaves me weak in the knees. Every scene had me thinking, “Nothing can be hotter than this,” only for the next scene to prove me wrong. The dirty talk, the pining, the spice—it’s all just fire. Honestly, I was a puddle of goo for most of the book, and I’m not mad about it.

Emotionally, this book takes you on a rollercoaster ride. Lucky’s POV had me laughing out loud, while Hillary’s reflections on Isabella broke me. The mention of human trafficking was gut-wrenching, and it really hit home how real and tragic that issue is. The way Cora integrates this topic into the story, with Hillary and the team acting as vigilantes, gave me a sense of justice that was cathartic to experience. I love that this series tackles such tough, important issues while still being engaging and gripping.

I absolutely adore all of these characters for different reasons. Lucky is my favorite for his humor and ability to bring out the softer sides of everyone around him, making him a breath of fresh air in an intense story. Kellan is the lovable, protective oaf who is the definition of “I would burn the world down for the woman I love”. Aaron took a while for me to warm up to, but his deep, pure love for Hillary and the intense, raw moments we get to see from him won me over completely. As for Hillary, she’s the ultimate FMC—strong, powerful, unapologetically herself, and everything I aspire to be. Each of these characters has carved out a special place in my heart.

And let me just say, the emotional beats? There were multiple moments where I was in tears—cough the scene with Aaron and Hillary’s love confession was beyond sweet, and I’m holding onto that one in my heart. I cried. I gasped. I was emotionally wrecked, but in the best way.

To sum it up: To Curse a Knight is everything. The characters, the plot, the steam, the emotional moments—Cora Flynn has crafted something truly special with this series. If you haven’t read it yet, you’re seriously missing out. I can’t wait for the next installment because, honestly, I need more of these characters in my life.

MMC: Kellan, Aaron and Lauchlan
MFC: Hillary Lane

Cora did it again. I loved the first book in this series and I loved this one too.

Kellan is still our Viking who has eyes for Hillary and Lucky, but he finally gives into his attraction to Aaron. And their first time is off the charts and includes Hillary and some double stuffed action.

Hillary and Aaron finally admit they love each other.

Hillary lets the con man know he's not conning her and gives him a choice - be part of the team or take the painting and leave. He's clearly not going anywhere since he's addicted to Blondie!

Lucky learns that Kellan is a double agent. And he, along with Aaron, learn about the Palace, with Aaron taking up residence there after he fakes his own death with the help of the rest of this crew.

We also learn what drives Hillary and why Alec is locked up in the Palace. Turns out Alec worked for Marco Alvarez who is responsible for Lucky's sister's death and the reason he's out to destroy Alvarez. Sandra, using her position at Hillary's charity, to rotate children back into the flesh trade, is taken to the Palace, but she and Alec escape. Don't worry, both get the justice they deserve, but not before Sandra is able to make a call to her husband.

Blackbird and Lucky team up and break through all the firewalls, setting Marco's empire ablaze, Kellan and Aaron escape Carmine (Antonio's hired gun) with Lucky killing her.

Alvarez is arrested, Hillary's men are alive and getting along . . . all seems right in the world until Hillary arrives home to find Blackbird's eyeless head waiting for her on her coffee table!!! Oh, and news of a vigilante (her) is all over the tv.

Book 3 cannot come soon enough. What is Kellan's father going to do? Who hired The Six to steal the Reclining Nude painting? What is up with Lucky's mom? Who killed Blackbird? Where does Xander fit into all of this? Are Bellamy and Jediah double crossers? How does the news have as much information as they do - did Sandra have that much info to pass on in her almost frozen solid state?

Cora Flynnleft us hanging right over the edge with this one!

The tension is rising, secrets are spilling, and I am not emotionally prepared for that cliffhanger.

Oh wow, book two really stepped it up! I liked book one—but this? This one felt like the moment where all the little pieces finally clicked into place and the story started to move. The emotions were deeper, the characters more raw, and I was genuinely gripped the whole way through.

It gave me that feeling I love in a series—when things aren’t just happening to the characters anymore, but they’re stepping up and taking action. And the angst?? It's alive and well, thank you very much.

What I Loved About This Book

Real Relationship Growth ❤️
We finally got to see our characters connect in a more meaningful way. There's honesty now, and a real sense that they’re starting to understand each other, not just orbit around one another. Watching them get on the same page after all the tension? SO satisfying. Like a big exhale.

All the Moving Parts 🧩
Everything is starting to unfold—secrets are revealed, motives are clearer, and it feels like the plot is really picking up pace. You can tell there's a bigger game in play, and it's thrilling to watch it all come together.

Spice and Suspense 🔥
Yes, there are sexy scenes, and yes, they were fab 😌 but it didn’t take away from the tension or the emotional depth. I loved that the romance didn’t fix everything—it’s still messy, and complicated, and so human.

THAT Ending 😳
Okay. That. Cliffhanger. I swear my jaw dropped. Everyone's on the brink, teetering on the edge of something huge, and now I’m just... waiting?? The suspense is REAL.

I honestly loved this second book so much more than the first. It felt like watching everything that’s been bubbling under the surface finally rise up, and I was completely hooked. The characters are stronger, the plot is richer, and the tension is off the charts. If you're in this series already, trust me—you’ll devour this one and then immediately scream into the void while waiting for the next.

🌟To Curse a Knight by Cora Flynn🌟

If you thought *To Catch a Rook* was a wild ride, buckle up because *To Curse a Knight* takes it to a whole new level! This book dives deeper into the intricate web of alliances, emotions, and power struggles that have been brewing since the first installment.

In this gripping continuation, we follow our fierce protagonist, Hillary, as she navigates a rebellion while surrounded by three dangerously captivating men: the sharp-witted crooked Rook, the enigmatic dark Knight, and the conflicted cartel King. Each character brings their own brand of tension, secrets, and undeniable chemistry to the table, making for a thrilling read that kept me on the edge of my seat.

What I loved most about this installment is the real growth in relationships. The characters finally start connecting on a deeper level, shedding their façades and embracing their vulnerabilities. Their journey toward understanding each other feels authentic, and witnessing their evolution is incredibly satisfying.

Cora Flynn's writing shines as she weaves together action, suspense, and steamy moments. The pacing is spot on, and every twist and turn left me gasping for more. The emotional stakes are high, and I found myself laughing, crying, and holding my breath as the plot unfolded. Lucky, Kellan, and Acron each have their moments to shine, but Hillary truly is the heart of the story—strong, unapologetic, and inspiring.

And let's not forget the jaw-dropping cliffhanger! Just when you think you have a grasp on where the story is heading, Cora throws in a curveball that left me reeling. I’m already counting down the days until the next book!

In summary, *To Curse a Knight* is an absolute must-read for anyone who loves a blend of romance, intrigue, and complex characters. Cora Flynn has truly outdone herself with this series, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you haven’t started this journey yet, you’re missing out on something special! 📚💖

To Curse A Knight is an exceptionally written, elaborate story that draws you in from the first page and stays with you even after you finish the last chapter. It was so good I had to read it twice. The story centers around Hillary Lane, known as the Queen, who is an heiress, business mogul, and self-appointed vigilante. Hillary’s mission is to rid the town of sexual predators. Hillary’s men are Lauchlan “Lucky” O’Donnell (Rook) Kellan Carlos (King), and Aaron Rodriguez (Knight). Lauchlan is her flirty Irish con man and app developer. Kellan is the heir to the Carlos Cartel throne, an FBI double agent, and Hillary’s big, tattooed Viking. Aaron is a wealthy, powerful multi-brothel businessman who was the heir to the Rodriguez cartel until his parents turned against their son. The MCs are interesting, intense, multi-layered, and have amazing chemistry together. The story is about power, secrets, and helping those preyed on by sexual predators. The plot is a chess game with many players, pawns and plays.

I enjoyed this book. The author did a fantastic job with character development, the storyline, and world building. The plot has lots of twists and kept me guessing what would happen next. There is lots of angst, tension, toxicity, and interesting banter between the MCs, their fathers, and their adversaries. I especially enjoyed the funny one-liners sprinkled throughout the story. Some parts of the story might be shocking because of how brutal the criminal world can be. Please check the trigger warnings and skip this book if it will make you uncomfortable, rather than give it a negative review, because this is an excellent book. My last thought is that the author nailed it when she wrote my favorite line in the book, which describes the book to perfection, and also happens to be Hillary’s thoughts on their situationship. The line is “Four dark souls exorcising their demons through an unlikely combination of revenge and sexual tension – it was the plot of an excellent book.” So true! I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Good lord, this was fantastic!!! Straight from the first chapter, the stakes are higher than the first book. Moves are being made, secrets are being shared and bonds are being formed.

The second book in this series was action-packed, gory and badass. The plot is gripping and intense. The characters are, of course, badass as fuck. Aaron, I love with all my heart. The man has so much trust and faith in Hillary and has started to develop it for another character, which I fucking love by the way. Kellan is complex and grumpy but oh so hot. I can’t wait to see how he deals with these new developments in the next book. And lastly, Lucky. What a mischievously stunning man. I’m soooo happy with how his character has developed in this book.

This is my favourite book that Cora Flynn has written so far. The complex web of deception and ulterior motives really gripped me by the nipples and dragged me in. The author has managed to write connections between every little detail in this book so that there is no such things as coincidences. And I thoroughly enjoyed unravelling these secret alongside Hillary and her men.

The spice was, in all honestly, more stimulating than my B.O.B. With a variety of kinks being explored and darkest desires being discovered, our characters have had a whale of a time being railed six was to Sunday. I’d like to say I’m jealous of Hillary, but I’m actually more jealous of the guys because having a woman like her tryna get in my pants?! Yes ma’am 🤭

This book does have trigger warnings, so I would absolutely recommend looking them up before you read. The author has put a warning at the beginning of some chapters too.

Thank you for the ARC!

Hello hello my girly girls!

What a thrill to have the opportunity to continue this trilogy. I have been looking forward to this book in a way you can't imagine!

The first book alone had me in love with FMC, on my knees for her, begging for more, because let's be honest, who doesn't love a strong FMC? I'm the first one who melts for them, and let's not even talk about the fact that even though she is a character who knows what she wants and how to get it, you could also say she has a submissive side that comes out with the right people. What a perfect combination.

As for the MMCs, if you're a person who reads similar genres to mine, I guess we're with the same line of thinking the more men...the better, if you know what I mean😏. These men certainly knew how to be the perfect match for the FMC, without leaving aside their dominant or submissive form depending on what the moment merits. There were certainly a couple of moments that left me with my mouth open and letting out the occasional squeak of excitement unintentionally.🤭😂

📍Do I recommend it?

Without a doubt!

For me it is a book that does deserve to be read, not only for its MMCs , but for its focus on strong characters like our FMC.

So if you are looking for a why choose with a spicy that is on the rise, MMCs that will give their all for their queen and a Queen that knows you have to fight and maybe cut a couple of much needed things along the way to get what she wants. This is the book for you.

So don't wait any longer and order “To Curse A Knight” now. And when you have it come back and tell me.

How far would you go for love?

Cora's books will always be a 5 ⭐️ read for me.
I've been on her ARC team since the beginning with Cascade of Lies series and I couldn't be prouder of how he'd work has developed and her writing has advanced in a short time.

This is the second book in her new series.
It's a little darker, a little more murdery, a little more sexy, ok a lot sexy 😉 I've been hooked on our big Viking protector since him and Winter had a night together inthe beginning of the Cascade of Lies.

I'm loving seeing these characters evolve and develop these deep connections over the course of the whole series.
Finding out the back story to Hilarys vendetta was shocking and I was in tears listening to her tell her men about her 1st Love and I fell in love with those men even more when they helped exact her revenge on the man who's caused her pain for more than a decade.

Seeing our handsome Columbian show his dark side was 🔥 i was shook but not at all surprised. It always the stoic strong ones who will f*ck some sh*t up for the woman they've loved for years.

And Lucky...well he's such a contrast to the other men in this harem but he fits so well and give Hilary something she didn't know she needed or was missing. The trust they are building is soooooooooooo angsty cause I know there's going to be a huge coming together...see what I did there lol 😆

And that cliffhanger....what can I say my girl Cora is becoming the queen of leaving us hanging. There are just way to many possibilities that could be coming!
As per usual I will be impatiently waiting for the 3rd book.
Cootos to you my friend on another job well done 👏

Received as an ARC.

💜 Why Choose - MMFM
💜 Dark romance
💜 Reverse Billionaire
💜 FBI x Con Artist
💜 Literal Kickass FMC
💜 Criminal Underworld
💜 Vigilante Justice
💜 Grumpy X Sunshine (She’s the grumpy one)
💜 Slow Burn
💜 Power Dynamics
💜 Age Gap

To Curse A Knight is a dark, seductive ride that will leave you breathless and maybe a little wrecked……in the best way. This why choose romance is packed with morally gray characters, intense relationships, and enough twists to keep you glued to the page. I was chomping at the bit to devour this one, like I did the first, and it did not disappoint.

Hillary is a force to be reckoned with that is fierce, complex, and impossible not to root for. Her tangled relationships with Kellan, Aaron, and Lauchlan are a combustible mix of passion, tension, and secrets that make for an emotional rollercoaster. The plot is expertly woven, with high stakes and unexpected turns that will have you second guessing everything.

Fair warning: this one isn’t for the faint of heart. The content gets dark, but Cora somehow manages to handle the sensitive themes with care and awareness, making sure that even the most intense moments feel purposeful and not just there for a token tick box exercise. The explicit scenes aren’t just there for spice (though there’s plenty of that). They deepen the emotional bonds between the characters, making their connections feel raw and real.

In short, To Curse A Knight is a gripping, unforgettable read that shows off Cora’s knack for crafting complex characters and high-stakes plots. If you’re into dark romance, why choose stories with a little added emotional destruction, this one’s calling your name.

thank you Cora Flynn for an e-ARC of 𝑻𝒐 𝑪𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑨 𝑲𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕

things really pick up in this second book of the series for Hillary and her men. you learn more about Hillary’s revenge and the reason behind it. but you also get development for Hillary with each guy but then all collectively as well. you also learn how Hillary went from little spoiled rich girl to the hbic with a team of mercenaries.

“𝘏𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦. 𝘐’𝘥 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘦𝘴. Aaron really redeemed himself in my eyes in this book and i liked him so much more. and we find out what Lauchlan is after and how that affects his relationship with Hillary.

also the scene between Kellan and Lauchlan 🥵 was not expecting that. Lauchlan is such a brat but also his humor is needed in this group.

that cliffy tho. you think Hillary has things working out and now you’re wondering what else is going on/what moves Hillary isn’t aware of. can’t wait to see how it all works out.

i just really wish Hillary didn’t call her father “daddy”. but that is just my personal preference.

This book was an unexpected delight. I’m giggling, heeheeing at the vigilante justice/hate sex/triple hacking/corporate subterfuge and then Chapter 18 gutted me when Hillary explained her backstory. I was genuinely moved to tears.

My sweet baby Aaron. Sure he runs brothels (high end though and only consenting SW!). He deserves a happy ending.

This book got me! So goooood. I need book 3 NOW. Give it to me! The last fourth of this book kept me ON EDGE. Will they completely take down Alvarez, everyone’s parents, figure out who wanted Lucky to steal the painting (feel like that’s connected), have a foursome.

Listen if things don’t work out with Hillary, I want Lucky and Kellan together. That torture sex scene was HOT!

You definitely need to read the first book since it’s starts from the cliffhanger.

‘I would never be the only one to touch her this way; but I would ensure my brand in her skin, between her thighs, inside the deepest parts of her, could never be removed by another.’

‘He and Kellan exuded the earned confidence of men who had built a legacy of destruction and sin.

I can’t say I’d ever trained to withstand edging torture, but I was into it - so into it. I’d add this to my training roster once this was all over and he handed back to Hillary in pieces.

Kellan had entrusted me with his greatest secret; I would carry it to my grave. I could only ask for the gift of time to avenge his enemies before I rested there.

I had the honour of reading this book as an arc read and loved every second of it.
This is book two in the series, and continues directly from the end of book one.

Hilary, Kellan, Aaron and Lauchlan realise that they all have one thing in common, their need to destroy Alveraz, each for their own reasons, but collectively to save the countless women and children that his empire is exploiting. They decide to work together to achieve their goal, but come across multiple complications along that way, not least the fact that Aaron had to go into hiding because Kellan refused to complete the hit that his father ordered him to complete against Aaron.

Hilary also has to deal with the fact that Lauchlan is attempting to steal from her, and has to make a decision about how she’s going to deal with it.

They all realise that they are fighting against more enemies than they first realised, but as a team are determined to overcome them.

Throughout this book is becomes obvious that they all have feelings for each other, some of which are openly admitted, and some are insinuated, but all of which prove that they would burn the world down for each other.

The storyline is amazing, the spice is fantastic and the characters are intricately written.

This is an amazing series and I can’t wait to read book 3

After reading To Catch a Rook, I was excited that I wouldn't have to wait long to read To Curse a Knight and thought that I wouldn't mind seeing even more action, character insight, and delicious relationship development in the second book. It did not disappoint. The action, which starts on the first page and picks up where we left the MCs in the first book, is almost nonstop. Moreover, each character reveals more about their tragic, if not heartbreaking, background, reinforcing their true character and showing genuine vulnerability to not only the reader but also each other, which allows Hillary, Aaron, Kellan, and Lauchlan to come together as a cohesive team with similar desires and motivations, not to mention several grave problems to solve in To Claim a King.

As I predicted, the plot in To Curse a Knight is fun and intriguing, but it's also serious and violent. Fortunately, Cora Flynn included heartwarming moments, a lot of hilarious humor, and some seriously steamy scenes to balance out the dark themes. She also ended this book with a tantalizing cliffhanger, even bigger than the last one, so she'd better not make me wait too long for the third book! The anxiety I'm feeling for our Queen and her Rook, Knight, and King may well kill me while I wait. (I'm being dramatic; I love a good cliffhanger.)

This just keeps getting better and better.

We jump right back into the action right when To Catch a Rook concludes. Hillary, Kellan, and Aaron are "questioning" Lauchlan's intentions and trying to save Aaron in the process. I feel as though this instalment of the series is really setting the stage for the showdown, and I know it's going to be explosive. This part of the story is full of so many twists and turns. Secrets are revealed, and Hillary and her guys are trying to navigate their way through it without being, you know, in the process.

I loved that Hillary, Kellan, Aaron, and Lauchlan really let their walls down and let each other in. It's so obvious that they all really care for each other, but with their history, it's hard. I think it's also really funny that you want to throttle Lauchlan, but you can't help but laugh at his antics. It's definitely needed.

That cliffhanger, though, was mind-blowing. I can't wait to see what Hillary does next because I know it's going to be insane.

Thank you so much, Cora and your beautiful team, for the opportunity to read this story. I am extremely blessed 🙏

An explosive sequel that ramps up the tension, adds even more intricacy to a plot that was already a gordian knot of lies, deceit, double agents, complications, and treachery, doubles down on the danger, cranks up the heat, and does it all spectacularly! The King becomes more devastatingly sexy and hot widening his protective net, letting his heart do the talking, and using edging like a fine art in the game of torture, The Knight touches your soul, pledging his love and sacrificing everything, The Rook develops a conscience, provides the comic relief, and lets that heart of gold peak out, and The Queen continues her reign of wrath, opens her heart, and gives you a peak under her armor and it will wreck you. Just a thrilling, hot, extraordinary follow-up, that turns you inside out and has you dying for the final book of this trilogy.
What a read! It adds a ton but never feels overly complicated, the tension buildup is divine, it’s a poly romance and it is hot giving you just enough spice and diving into how in deep and intertwined these four are with a feelings dump and confessions, but it never strays too far from the plot of wrath, revenge, and justice, keeping you more than hooked and all in on how The Queen and her guys are going to come out on top, stay alive, and take down two cartels, and that ending…dear lord, has you needing that third book like yesterday.

Alright, buckle up bookworms, because Cora Flynn has done it again!

This is my second dance with Flynn's writing, specifically her second book in this series, and let me tell you, it's a tango of the soul kind of experience.

We're diving deeper than ever before into the lives of Hillary, Lucky, Kellan, and Aaron, and trust me, it's a voyage you won't regret.

Flynn doesn't shy away from the heat, folks. Prepare for scenes that sizzle and spark, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the already captivating narrative.

But a word to the wise: heed the trigger warnings! There are moments that will absolutely make your jaw drop, and you'll be left clutching your pearls (or your e-reader) in astonishment.

And the ending? Oh, that ending is a cliffhanger of epic proportions! I'm practically vibrating with anticipation for the third installment.

The questions that Flynn leaves dangling are maddeningly delicious.

What happened to Blackbird? Who was capable of such a sinister act, leaving a chilling "present" in Hillary's own home?

The mystery is thick enough to cut with a knife, and I'm chomping at the bit for answers.

Cora Flynn has masterfully crafted a tale that keeps you hooked from the first page to the last, leaving you desperate for more.

So, grab your copy, settle in, and prepare for a wild ride! You won't be disappointed.

After things were left in a rather perplexing situation in the last book, this one picks up right off with an interesting deal that has been stricken. This second book in the series is packed with action, tension and some good plotting as the characters are launching their attack on their common enemies. However, as the story evolves, it appears that there are more chess pieces at play and the game just become more unpredictable than ever before.

I love Aaron, he is just such a sweetheart towards Hillary. The genuine bond between them is formed based on years of earning trust and mutual respect, add the sheer passion and care they share for each other and there it is, in the midst of all the chaos, there are two souls that have found their way to each other. It will be interesting to see how things develop with Kellan and Lucky as things are definitely slowly, but surely brewing there.

Some light is shred as to the characters backstories and the reasons behind Hillary's quest for revenge against the evil forces that surround the world. It was nice to see the vulnerability underneath the carefully constructed exterior that the FMC portrays to the outside. I am definitely wondering who will be outplaying who in this vicious game of cunning minds.

** I received an ARC from the author for an honest review **

To Curse A Knight was very entertaining, quick-paced and engaging. My only complaint is that it's not long enough! It's mostly a me problem, but I find any book under 300 pages (my ideal is 450 pages) leaves my pining for more; more details, more spice.

This is the second book in the trilogy, and it's a why choose. While Hillary was already intimate with all 3 of her men in book 1, it was all separate encounters. In book 2, we get our first threesome (which was pretty good!) and I'm hoping for even more in book 3.

If, like me, you like when boyfriends are boyfriends, you will be pleased to hear that even though we haven't crossed into boyfriend territory yet, we do get some MM action.

Plotwise, Hillary's vendetta is progressing and Kellan's issues with his father and the FBI are still up in the air. Lucky is in deep trouble, and Aaron is not out of the woods just yet! The entire book is one stressful series of events and I find myself wondering how they will manage to get their happily ever after.

Once again Flynn ended the book on a deadly cliffhanger. Thankfully, she doesn't keep us waiting for too long between releases.

Hillary finds herself amidst a chaotic web of secrets and lies as the three men she's drawn to each reveal their own agendas. Her con artist, cārt3l heir, and cr!m!nal empire heir vow to aide her mission, but things may be out of their control as the ever-shifting enemy control balances on the edge of anarchy. Carving out a place for her throne in this cutthroat world will be difficult, but Hillary isn't one to back down from a challenge, especially with her loyal court beside her.

Total girl power with this one. Hillary is the baddie with a skillet and resources to match. She's been rocking the moonlit vigilante path but finds herself up against bigger fish. Her men, despite their nuances, are ready to give her their everything. Despite each of them potentially facing a significant loss, their determination and loyalty are unwavering. I loved the dynamic between Hillary and the guys, both individually and in a group setting. That slice of the why choose pie we got was delicious, and I'm ready for more. This story is addictive in its complexity and intrigue. As the plot thickens, I find myself drawn further in. It's turning into quite the convolution, but I'm so ready to see Hilary and the guys conquer and secure their kingdom.

Do I like the plot? Yes
Do I like the characters individually? Yes
Do I like them together? Unsure

We jump straight in from where book 1 ended, though I was interested in where this story will go, I felt like it kept losing my attention. All 4 main characters are meant to be super smart and “badass”. We saw less of her work removing the trash from the world and more of each character thinking with their dick or vagina. I like the writing, the story, we got a lot more of the characters background in this book. I assumed we’d get a scene with Winter and her low standards to give her approval of the guy. It also opened the door to them all being together together because that’s how Winter ended up with 5 husbands. I’m all for someone having multiple partners but I may be losing interest as personally I don’t like when they’re all together with each other. Also with all the power Hillary has it was kinda disappointing how chill she was knowing Lucky was using her the entire time but “he cute” so it’s okay. I am looking forward to the next book but hoping that the story is wrapped up and not drawn out

Another great book from Cora Flynn! I inhaled this book. It was so much more raw compared to the first one, which made it so great.

It was great to dive further into these characters and get to know them more. But my gosh my heart absolutely broke for Hillary in this book. Once we find out more of her back story, we realize more as to what she went through and why she is the way she is.

Hillary is such an amazing FMC. She is cool and calculating and is almost always three steps ahead of everyone. I loved seeing her relationship with Aaron and Kellan, and even Lachlan, in this book. Lachlan is of course hilarious and always there for some good comic relief, but it's also nice to see his loyalties come into play in this book.

I already know the next book is going to ruin me.

Please be sure to check for triggers before reading this book. It dives into some really dark themes and while it brings more depth to Hillary's character, the content may be uncomfortable for readers.

Thank you for Cora Flynn and BookFunnel for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
