“I’ve missed you for eight hundred and thirty days. A weekend fling will never be enough. I’m always going to want more.”
Giselle Lorde and Roman Braithwaite met in Antigua during their best friends’ elopement and were struck by the instant attraction and connection they felt.
They agreed to a single night together, thinking it would satiate the desire they felt for each other, but things did not go as planned. Roman wanted to further explore the feelings brewing between them but Giselle laced up her track shoes and ran fast.
She’s been running ever since. But nobody can run forever, and when Roman and Giselle finally meet back up in Vegas some two and a half years later, they must both confront the fact that their feelings haven’t changed. Giselle suggests a weekend fling to finally get each other out of their systems, but it soon becomes apparent that a weekend won’t be enough.
Roman counters with an unexpected how about forever?
Giselle hates that the idea of a Vegas marriage to Roman intrigues her, but she decides to throw caution to the wind for once in her life and follow her heart. Will this be the start of something beautiful or the worst decision of Giselle and Roman’s lives?
Rilzy Adams needs only five things to survive: sushi, coffee, Prosecco, cuddles and words (though not in that order).
She's a lawyer by day - writer by 'whenever she can get the free time' and believes that love makes the world go 'round. It is no small wonder, then, that she can't help but pen tales of people falling in love.
Huge fan of Rilzy but this one just didn’t resonate with me too much. I do like me some mutual pining between a couple but in this instance—-The dialogue was WORDY!!!!! And it seemed like the couple STAYED in their head for at least 40-45% of the book. Like GET OUT!! Giselle became insufferable because of the back and forth. Baby are you riding the dique or nah? Let me know quickly so we could find forever with this man. I will say that I liked the solo trip to the Grand Canyon but i still feel it was a lot of telling and not enough doing. Overall, this book wasn’t a hit for me and i am so disappointed because I waited for this couple. Looking forward to connecting with more of Rilzy’s books in the future
Roman, Sebastian, Ace. These are the names of men who will be book boyfriend perfection (based on my observations). Everytime he opened his mouth I swear it was poetry. I really enjoyed this read, especially once Giselle got over herself. Adams is always a good read and her characters express themselves in the most beautiful ways.
Ladies, get you a Roman. That’s it, that’s the review lol.
But seriously, I really enjoyed this story and seeing Roman and Giselle finally get their happy ever after. I’m glad Giselle finally stopped fighting her feelings for Roman and embraced them and agreed to forever.
This man was everything to me. The way he loved on Giselle from a distance and kept her at the forefront of his mind even when she was avoiding him showed unconditional love to me. The gifts he gave her and the way he expressed his feelings and showed her his feelings left me smiling throughout this story.
Giselle didn’t deserve Rome. If it took all of that for her to give them a chance then she didn’t need him. I would have preferred to see him with someone else. However, on the other hand. Rome was a sweetheart! Definitely book bae persona! He’s the only thing that made this book palatable.
This was perfect. It was beautiful and heartwarming and the exact kind of break from current events that I needed. I don't care how long the author thought it took; this was worth every minute of the wait.
This was my first book by Rilzy and even though it was a novella she did not disappoint!! Roman is definitely at the top of the list when it comes to book baes and I'm so happy Gizelle came to her senses before she missed!!
Although I initially didn't understand why Giselle was running from Roman, I eventually got it. I loved that Roman was head over heels, but also knew she had to get out of her own way. Nice balance of sweet and spicy. I hope Leigha gets a story, too.
I thought this story was short and steamy. It was a cute second chance romance. I found Giselle a bit stressful, but her trackstar added the friction needed for the story.
I really didn’t like Giselle at first. She was on my nerves with the pessimism. Girllllll let that man love you. Damnnnnn. Ro is a true book bae though. He’s patient because couldn’t be me
This was cuteeee but slow at first. The push and pull with Roman and Giselle was a little annoying at first but then the story picked up in the cutest cheesy-loving kinda way.
Forever with your one. Man he knew exactly what he wanted and wasn’t afraid. Taking chances. The body wants what it wants and sometimes it takes the mind time to catch up.
It has been two years since Roman and Gilease's weekend fling in Antigua. But when Roman and Gilease finally meet back up in Vegas, they must decide if they can keep their hands to themselves.
If you are looking for an Erotica novel Rilzy Adams is your girl. Her writing always includes the perfect blend of spice and romance.
