I received this book as a gift recently- I just love it. Daily little devotionals that inspire and challenge. Too many I've read in the past are trite and full of christian-y platitudes, but this is not. A refreshing book to read each day. I usually carry this one around in my purse and read it during library breaks when I'm waiting for my daughter to finish class. Interestingly, this book doesn't make any mention of the author. I've looked and looked and no author is named anywhere. Kind of makes it all the more enjoyable that the writer wishes no acknowledgment.

Coffee Break with God was a very nice daily devotional. It offered a verse and a short story or prompt to meditate on each day. This devotional reminded me to be mindful of God and his work in my life throughout the day. Overall, it was a great addition to daily Bible reading.

Believing in taking time out to re-energize, the stories in this book helped me do that. Each story gave me a sense of peace when I felt I would tear my hair out. The scriptures in each story were powerful. The book is now on my nightstand and I re-read a chapter before turning the lights out.

Inspirational reading. I started it at work and read a few pages in the morning or during slow times. Helped on stressful days when I needed a break from things.

I enjoy devotionals and have read many. I especially enjoyed Coffee Break with God. I liked the different stories they shared. They were very interesting and I learned new information which I especially like. Probably what I found most refreshing was that it was simple. I enjoy deep and heavy devotionals, but sometimes simple is just as good for me. I feel like this book is a little treasure and recommend others add it to their collection as well.
