Sweet Surrender

Rate this book
A sexy, rock star, marriage of convenience romance by New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg.

Jase Gizmodo is the wild card of the world-famous band BENT. He drums like a legend, lives like a rebel, and attracts headlines like a magnet. But when his recklessness causes a no-nonsense judge to threaten the band's upcoming international tour, he needs a quick fix—and proof that he’s settling down might just do the trick.

Enter Hendrix Wright. Cookie queen. Small business owner. And barely hanging on. Her dream bakery is on the brink of closing its doors thanks to her ex’s betrayal, and she needs a miracle. Who knew a chance meeting with a charming, enigmatic, and incredibly sexy stranger in a coffee shop would change all that?

So when that stranger, Jase, offers her a deal—a temporary marriage for the cameras in exchange for the money to save her bakery—Hendrix should run. Fast. But instead, she finds that the more time they spend faking wedded bliss, the more real their chemistry feels.

Because falling for a rockstar was never part of the plan.
But surrendering? That might be the sweetest risk of all.

i love a good k. bromberg book but this one wasn’t for me :(

i felt kind of bored when i was reading this, as a lot of the book was pretty repetitive. i did enjoy learning about jase and hendrix, i think they’re both complex characters in their own way. jase comes from a broken home, where his father pretty much hates him and his mom has schizophrenia, while hendrix’s father is an asshole (cheater) but she has a strong relationship with her mom.

they enter a marriage of convenience after hendrix’s ex takes every penny she has from her and jase’s bad boy ways need to be tamed. like any marriage, theirs has a few bumps in the road. but jase proves that he can stay out of trouble, with the right people. his bandmates seem like great friends, but they’re also instigators and they like causing trouble privately.

Welcome back to the band Bent. When drummer Jase "Gizmo" Gizmodo needs a little image fixer or else he can’t travel with the band his lawyer/brother comes up with a plan. Look like a settled down version of the rocker. That’s where baker Hendrix Wright comes into play. She needs financial help or else she might lose her bakery. They didn’t meet on the best of scenarios but can they pretend long enough to fix both their dilemmas? Can they keep it just a professional proposal? This is a great faux marriage, rockstar romance with two complete opposites. This bad boy drummer may have a sweet side after all! Told in first person and dual POV.

I honestly don't think I can do justice to the review this story deserves! Kristy wrote an amazing story about drummer Jace, add in the perfect cookie cutter character in Hendrix, and gave us one heck of a story line for these two! This story is a must read, it will pull at your heart strings, while giving you all the feels! 5 Rock Stars for this one!
Jace had a rough life growing up, you'll read all about it in this story. He's trying to outrun his demons, but it comes at a cost to his career. When faced with possibly not being able to join his bandmates on tour out of the country, he's forced to find a wife to make it look like he's grounded and settling down in life. That's where Hendrix comes in. She's just suffered her own heartache, and has sworn off men, till she makes eye contact with the most amazing eyes she's ever seen in the coffee shop. She's trying to make ends meet after her ex cheated on her, she left and he drained her bank account, now she's in a tight spot, so when Jace tells her what he needs, and the reward for doing it, she reluctantly agrees and accepts his offer.
Sit back and enjoy all the feels, as you get each of their stories, told in the most heartbreaking way, that only Kristy can write, and she will have you hook, line and sinker! Grab this asap!

Newest add to my best if ever shelf!

I. Loved. This.

My heart hurt for both of them for many reasons.

Jase. He is the ultimate book boyfriend. And he sees her for who she is. Off the jump. Which is so impressive.

Hendrix. Man. I love a tough heroine. And this gal is it!

If you like rockstar bad boy books. With fake marriage. Angst. Heat. Humor. And heart. It has it all. This book is for you!

Highly recommend

Marriage of convenience with a rock star

Hendrix and Jase are each in a jam. After her ex drained the money in the joint business account, she's struggling to pay the bills for her small cookie bakery. After one too many drunken nights on the town, a judge has placed his ability to tour overseas with his band at risk. When the family oriented judge decides that Jase needs a stabilizing influence, a marriage of convenience is suggested.

There's a meet cute in a coffee shop. ( She doesn't know who he is and thinks he's a wannabe.) While this pair doesn't know each other at all, each sees the other clearly. He realizes that she babbles when she's nervous or overthinking and that there's a daring woman underneath the flour covered apron. She sees the complicated man with feelings of shame and loyalty to his band underneath the social media bad boy.

What begins as a contractual arrangement turns into something more as Hendrix and Jase complement and bring out the best in each other. It's fun to see the Type A, follow the rules, everything planned girl and the impulsive, leap before you look drummer, who is insecure about failure underneath the inked exterior, balance each other as Jase leads Hendrix through Operation Live-A-Little. While there's not supposed to be any intimacy, there's lots of heat and chemistry and desire. It's rewarding to see this pair build each other's confidence.

There are serious issues about the traumatic experience of living with a parent troubled by serious mental illness that's sensitively handled by the author.

While this is the third book about the Bent rockers, it definitely works as a standalone.

#Review: *Sweet Surrender* - K. Bromberg - ARC [18+]
5/5✨
3/5🌶️

K. Bromberg has such a versatile style of writing and I fell in love with all of them! This was a new side of her stories for me and I was mesmerized by it! I'm super grateful for the opportunity Kristy and Valentine Pr offered me, with this early copy.

Jase Gizmodo (Gizmo) is the drummer of a famous band and an out bursting from one single night will complicate his life. Why? Because he needed a judge's approval to travel, to go on tour with his band and his current situation wasn't that pretty. Now it was uncertain if Gizmo could travel, but his brother found a solution to his problem. To get married and clean up his image. Here's where beautiful and talented Hendrix Wright makes her appearance.

Hendrix is a master of cookies, having her own personal business shop. But things weren't pink at all for her, having to deal with her cheating ex boyfriend and the issues that appeared after that, being the one who helped her open that business. Now he took all their savings and Hendrix was barely handlining everything on her own. That's why the proposition Gizmo has offered her, to be his fake wife, was so tempting to her. But can she make that step with a complete stranger? Can she enter his world and be ok with all the attention that came with this decision?

Jase was pretty much screwed even from the first time he saw Hendrix and I loved how affected he was by her. She was so different from all the girls he was usually dating and he felt like she was the only one with whom he could do such a crazy thing: to get married with. I adored how protective of her he was, especially after founding out about her story and the situation she was in. Jase had his own demons to overcome, having some unresolved issues from the past, which were still affecting him pretty hard. I felt sorry for him and, as different as they initially thought they were, Jase and Hendrix will learn that their lives were more similar than they could've ever thought.

This rockstar book has kept me entranced from the 1st page until the end, loving the tension which was built between the characters, the drama, the hurt and, of course, the love story. It had the right amount of everything, from my point of view, to be a perfect story. This is the 2nd book from 'Backstage Pass' series, but it can easily be read as a standalone too. I cannot wait for the 3rd book to be released!

“I’m sick of being boring. Predictable. Normal. Maybe it’s time I do something unexpected to tip the scales.”

This book had me on a rollercoaster of emotions…I laughed, cried, felt my heart tug, hoped, wanted to scream, was cheering and downright heartbroken at times. If you’ve even been betrayed…physically or emotionally, had your heart broken or watched someone you love be destroyed by someone they put all their love and trust in…this book may squeeze your heart a little more…May they all have a friend championing for them!

“It’s me who lost everything. It’s me who remembers what I used to have. It’s me whose scars have just been ripped open yet again.”

I feel like I’m on the sidelines watching a friend getting a second chance…not sure if I want to cheer him on or strangle him…you won’t be able to put this book down!

Holy rockstar gods I loved this! 4.5 stars! Bromberg has a way of telling a story that captivates me. In the beginning, I’m unsure where it’s gonna go…the depth seems fairly surface level and then as the story progresses, I’m swooning, crying, FEELING the angst and tension right along with the characters! Jase Gizmodo “Gizmo” — drummer of the famous band BENT, finds himself in need of a wife to show his conservative judge that he lives a stable enough lifestyle to travel with his band overseas, despite being on probation. Enter, small business owner and cookie extraordinaire…Hendrix, who turns his world inside out and shows him how to love. There were so many layers to Jase and Hendrix’s pasts, love was terrible to them both and it’s so beautiful to see them learn and grow in their love for one another. I sobbed at that second epilogue, coming full circle🥹🫶🏻

Thank you to K. Bromberg and Valentine PR for this early copy for my honest review!🩷

(I received an ARC for this book)

Trigger Warnings include:
misconduct and being on probation, cheating discussed on page (not involving MCs), financial stealing, past child neglect and the lasting effects (includes flashbacks), physical altercation/assault involving FMC (not betweens MCs), homelessness, blackmail and threats, schizophrenia

Hendrix is just trying to survive her break up, and not lose her business in the process. Gizmo is…well, Gizmo. Drummer with the arrest record, teetering on the edge of his life falling apart. Best case scenario: marry someone so he can keep drumming. Hendrix is an easy choice, but Jase Gizmodo was NOT prepared for what marrying her to save his image meant. This quickly became more than just a publicity stunt (was it ever just a publicity stunt?!). She deserves a love and world he can’t give her, but that doesn’t stop him from doing everything he can to keep her. They’re each other’s safety net, fresh start. Something deep and strong comes from that. And neither of them are prepared for that! (And neither was I!)

Cookie: 27

My Favorite Quotes:
• “Only the best public image for my pretend husband.”
• “You’re sexy when you’re angry.”
• “This is going to be a problem, isn’t it? Wanting you and not being able to have you.”
• “Let me. Let me erase him. Let me show you.”
• “Come for me before I lose my f!cking mind.”
• “Are you going to argue or are you going to pull your pants off one leg and ride my c!ck till we both come?”
• “That’s my girl. Just. Like. That. Don’t you f!cking stop, baby.”
• “I want you to walk back into that ballroom after this, to be in that room with everyone, and know I can still feel you inside of me.”
• “I want to kiss you and taste you and f!ck you.”
• “What did you come here to say?” “I love you.”
• “We love our way through the failures, so we can reap the rewards.”

***4,5 "Operation Live-A-Little!!!" stars***

"This is going to be a problem, isn't it?"
"What is?"
"Wanting you and not being able to have you."

I love K. Bromberg's stories and when I found out that we will be having another one Backstage Pass novel, I was over the moon!!!
I have loved Vince's story very much and I was so excited of Gizmo's story!!!
And what a story was that!!!
It had also one of my favorite's trope in it, this of marriage of convenience and in combination with a rockstar romance, I was freakin' ecstatic!!!
Add Hendrix in the mix and the result was incredible!!! These two were amazing together, while they were faking it or not!!!

"Hendrix isn't just my fake wife. She isn't just a temptation. She's a risk. And fuck, that makes a man like me want her even more."

Jase Gizmodo is the drummer of the famous band BEND and he is a wild card!!! And because of his antics, he is threatened that he won't be allowed to go to the world tour and that will destroy everything for his bandmates and himself...
The solution to his problem is for the judge to see him as a changed man, a family man, so he needs immediately a fake wife...

"She tastes like sin and regret.
Like surrender and restraint running a ra ce.
Like necessity and indulgence warring against one another."

Hendrix is a pastry chef... Her lifelong dream shop is about to be destroyed after her ex's betrayal and she is in desperate need of money...
A chance meeting with a gorgeous speciman is giving her the opportunity of a lifetime, but with what cost??? She will become a temporary wife for a man that is pure temptation, but she will be able to save her shop... can she leave her heart outside the equation???

"I'm sick of being boring. Predictable. Normal.
Maybe it's time I do something unexpected to tip the scales..."

I loved the idea of Hendrix and Jase from the very first moment..
The way they were together was so effortless and I loved them fiercely!!!
They tried to remain unaffected by each other, but that was inevitable and they were so perfect together!!!
I loved the way Hendrix was... I loved how fiercely she loved her job...
And Jase... This man was underestimated himself... He was a husband material through and through... I loved how protective and attentive was with Hendrix!!!
These two were making me swoon in every turn...

"Paul put cracks in me, but I have a feeling that someone like you would break me. I don't want to be broken, Jase."

And now I can not wait for more...
I need the last story cause these rockstars are everything!!!
I loved seeing them fall and each book in the series is even better than the one before!!!
Hendrix and Jase were everything and I am so happy that I got to read their story!!!

"Beauty often comes after struggle."

Sweet Surrender is book two in the Backstage Pass series and is the story of Jace and Hendrix. This is a stranger to lovers, fake marriage, rockstar/baker, close proximity romance.

Jase is the bad boy drummer for BENT, a world famous rock band and his antics off the stage have gotten him in more trouble than he can count and on probation. With a world tour hanging in the balance, Jace must find a way to appease the judge to allow him to travel or the tour will go on without him.

Hendrix is the owner of a cookie bakery and she just found her boyfriend in her bed with a waitress, which complicates her life as he has now left her without the money needed to run her bakery. When a chance encounter in a coffee shop has Jase and Hendrix crossing paths, Hendrix has no clue who he is but there is something that calls to her about Jace.

When Jase's lawyers suggests a marriage of convenience to show the judge he has changed and is a better man, Jave has an idea who would be perfect for the job, the enigmatic beauty he met in the coffee shop, Hendrix. She needs money to save her bakery and he needs a wife to show the judge he is not the party boy he used to be. But as the wedding and living together progresses, Jace and Hendrix realize there is more between them than they thought and even though they are not what the other expected, they are what each other needs.

When Jase's past rears its ugly head, will he be able to change his need to push people away or will he be able to embrace the life Hendrix represents and allow her in to see the true man beneath the rock star persona.

I was sent the audio by Valentine PR and this is a voluntary review of the ALC. This book was done in dual narration by Ryan Lee Dunlap and Amy Hall. I thoroughly enjoyed the narrators and how they brought the book to life. You could feel the emotions they brought to the story and the way Ryan brought the swoon-worthy voice of Jase to life was chef's kiss. Amy did a wonderful job of voicing Hendrix and bringing her fierceness to life. K. Bromberg wrote a fantastic story and Ryan and Amy did it absolute justice in bringing it to life through their narration.

“Operation Live-A-Little”

Jase and Hendrix…sigh….i absolutely loved their story. This book has gotten me out of my reading slump and has definitely given me a book hangover. I can’t get it out of my head.

Jase, the drummer for BENT needs to clean up his image or he won’t be able to tour outside of the country. Hendrix is drowning in debt because of her idiotic (wish I could use the term the author used) ex. Together, they need each other. A chance meeting at a coffee shop changes their lives forever. In a good way…

Jase’s story broke my heart. It left me feeling so heavy because his story is like so many people’s story with mental health issues in their family. He didn’t want anyone dragged into his life or even know his story because this was his story to tell and no one else’s. To see his band mates come to his aide was beautiful. They knew what he was going thru and never wanted to see him hurt.

Hendrix just wanted to bake cookies. She knew she had a great business but when her ex leaves and takes every bit of money, she is in the red. She agrees to the arrangement so she can her debts and get it off the ground. I loved her attitude with Jase. Without knowing anything about him or what his story was, she always gave him the benefit of the doubt. She was unwavering in her devotion to him and their agreement..even when she shouldn’t be. Jase needed her and needed her love to himself back together.

The 5 years later chapter tore me apart. I saw Jase as that kid that just wanted his mom back. His devotion to his mother was beautiful and sad at the same time. I am so glad that the author gave him his brother back. That they were able to hash out their differences and for the first time, be brothers.

I just loved this book so much. I am glad she came back and is going to finish the group’s story. This will definitely be one I will reread in the future.

K. Bromberg never fails to deliver an amazing romance with grit, passion, a little bit of heartache, and an HEA that will make you fall in love with love all over again. Sweet Surrender was exactly the story I needed this weekend. I read Sweet Regret when it released and desperately hoped that there would be more stories for the rockstars of Bent. I was thrilled to learn this story was coming and it ultimately lived up to all my hopes and exceeded my expectations. While a fake marriage isn’t always my favorite trope, this was done masterfully. This really is a story of two people falling in love who just happened to already be married. He gets to fix his image and she gets to save her bakery. Meanwhile two people who are broken in different ways learn how to let their protective walls come down so they can find love on the other side. This rockstar, opposites attract, fake marriage romance will tug at your heart and make you remember the early days of falling in love.

I loved how Jase SAW Hendrix. He supported her and helped her become the person she was before her ex tore her down piece by piece. I also adored their meetcute. For her part, Hendrix was a wonderfully strong character who at the same time has all the same insecurities most of us have. She is a woman most of us could see ourselves in. She pushed Jase exactly how he needed and saw the broken little boy he kept safe inside. This story completely sucked me in and wouldn’t let go. Thank goodness I had a rainy Sunday to just sit back and enjoy reading all day. This story begged not to be put down and I can’t wait for Rocket’s story to wrap up the band. I had no idea that Hendrix had his story ages ago so that’s what I’m diving into next!

Ok so I'm not going to lie. I originally wasn't interested in reading this one because of the cover (now the discreet cover - I LOVE). BUT. I am so glad I did!

Gizmo is the drummer for the band BENT. He's on probation for some trouble in the past and isn't allowed to leave the country for a tour unless he cleans up his act. Hendrix needs help saving her cookie business thank to her ex's betrayal. What could help them both?? A marriage of convenience.

I'm a SUCKER for a marriage of convenience and this one did not disappoint. This one had way more depth to it than I anticipated. Jase had such a dysfunctional upbringing and had a lot of issues and trauma and sometimes didn't cope the best way. They were absolute opposites and there was a lot of push and pull but I loved seeing them try to figure it out. Something about them together just worked! I love them so much. My heart ached for them towards the end and it made me want to cry. I do think she should've made him grovel a little more but I can deal with that.

I loved this book and I'm definitely going back to read more!

This was a dual narration by Ryan Lee Dunlap & Amy Hall. Both of these narrators are new to me. I enjoyed both of them so much. They captured my attention so easily. I was so invested in their storytelling and I seriously felt all the range of emotions. I absolutely want to listen to more books narrated by this pair!

Thank you so much to Valentine PR and K. Bromberg for the gifted audiobook.

If you're anything like me and your heart skips a beat for a playboy rockstar falling hard for the one girl who turns his world upside down—Sweet Surrender is going to be right up your alley!

Jase and Hendrix’s chemistry is electric. From the moment they collide, their story crackles with tension, raw emotion, and fiery banter. The marriage-of-convenience setup adds a layer of irresistible forced proximity, and watching them slowly fall, through the push and pull, through pain and healing, was honestly magic.

Their story is heartfelt, witty, and deeply emotional. Jase’s internal battles and Hendrix’s resilience give their romance so much depth. And the exploration of guilt, trauma, and mental health is handled with such care that it elevates the story in all the best ways.

The cast of side characters is just as unforgettable: charming, protective, and full of personality. Every single one brings something vibrant to the story.

The narration by Ryan Lee Dunlap and Amy Hall really made the story shine, especially Jase’s rockstar charm and emotional vulnerability.

I cannot wait to be back with the BENT crew in the next instalment of this series!

My first rockstar romance and my first K. Bromberg book and holy I am hooked!!

"Sweet Surrender" is a fantastic rockstar romance with a compelling marriage-of-convenience twist. It strikes a perfect balance between laugh-out-loud humour and heartfelt emotion, making for an engaging and well-rounded read. The main characters have incredible chemistry, and the storyline is both well-developed and beautifully written.

Jase and Hendrix’s story is deeply emotional. Both have been scarred by love in the past, and Jase continues to struggle with unresolved family issues that weigh heavily on him.

"Sweet Surrender" doesn’t shy away from deeper issues like guilt and the lasting impact of mental illness, making the love story even more powerful.

If you’re a fan of rockstar romances with forced proximity, sizzling chemistry, and emotional depth, this one is a must-read. It’s packed with passion, wit, and a heart-melting happily ever after that will leave you smiling long after the final page. I highly recommend this series to romance fans and I cannot wait to continue my BENT journey!

Fantastic Rock Romance

If I could have given this book more than 5* I would have…it was that good. As the drummer for Bent, bad boy Jase “Gizmo” Gizmodo needs to clean up his act and fast or he won’t be going on a world tour with his band. That’s what happens when you break some laws and the court won’t let you travel.

Hendrix is the small-time cookie baker who just cut ties with an abusive ex who took all of her savings and is now struggling to keep her business going. When she first meets Jase at a coffee shop, she has no idea who he is but she made quite the impression on him because he wants her to be the one who will get him in good standings with the judge who would allow him to go on tour. It was only supposed to be a fake marriage but when feelings grew neither knew how to handle it.

Both were rocked by their pasts which they had to deal with in order to find their HEA. The steam and the witty banter made this a book that I could not put down. This book has risen to be one of my favorite rock romance books. Excellent read which I highly recommend.

Sweet Surrender is more than a rockstar romance; it's a heartfelt story that readers will adore. Bromberg has become a must-read for me, author, and I thoroughly loved Jase and Hendrix's story. Gizmo needs to improve his reputation as a bad boy drummer. To keep his reputation intact, he needs a wife. Hendrix needs money to keep her bakery open. When the two of them meet at random, there is instant chemistry, but Hendrix never expected the guy she met at a coffee shop to ask her to marry him. The banter between these two was great. It revealed not just their chemistry but also their personalities. I enjoyed seeing what the other Bent band members had been up to. Despite having scars from their pasts, both characters were able to heal one another. I definitely recommend reading this series and am looking forward to the next book!!

Thank you so much to K. Bromberg, and Valentine PR, for this eARC.

Just finished one of the best books I’ll read in 2025. Honestly have no words to describe how magical this book was. I have been a long time reader of K Bromberg’s and let me just say that this has to be one of her best books yet. Talk about all the feels- and the storyline, she had me done for.

Jace and Hendrix were two incredibly written characters. They were pure MAGIC. The chemistry between them was palpable from their first meeting. The push and pull between the two feels authentic and you see how that underneath it all, are just two people afraid of falling in love. My heart literally ached for Jace and for what he went through. While he seems so confident and charming, there are scars beneath the surface. Hendrix is a fiercely independent heroine. She’s guarded, headstrong, and used to taking care of herself. Watching her character grow was nothing short of amazing. Hendrix's strength doesn’t diminish as she becomes vulnerable—it’s amplified. Watching the two slowly fall for each other was seriously amazing.

I want to shout from the rooftops how much I loved this book. It was raw, real, and very sweet. This slow burn romance will remind us all that the sweetest surrender is having someone love and accept us just the way we are.

This story is about Jase Gizmodo AKA Gizmo, drummer of the rock and Bent. He needs to clean up his image or he won’t be allowed by a judge to travel overseas with the band. He’s been on probation and has some mess ups.

He meets Hendrix Wright in a coffee shop and has an instant connection to her. When Jase’s lawyer brother recommends a four month marriage to prove to the judge he has settled down, she is the one he wants it to be with. Hendrix has a cookie bakery that she is struggling with financially due to her ex-boyfriend, FU Paul. With this agreement, Hendrix would get the money she needs.

Jase and Hendrix’s story is an emotional one. Love has not been kind to either of them. Jase has issues with his family that still trouble him.

This is a dual POV standalone in this series. It can definitely be read without reading the first two books, but Hawkins and Vince’s stories are great, too.

Thank you to the author and Valentine PR for an advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sweet Surrender is the best description (and obvious title) for this book.

Jase and Hendrix could not be more different from one another if they tried. But she's what he needs and he's got something she needs. What could go wrong!? LOL

I really enjoyed the banter between these two. It showed not only their chemistry, but who they are as individuals. We got to see another side of Jase that only Hendrix was able to pull out of him.

I don't want to say much because it gives away the dynamics between these two and their story. I enjoyed the forced proximity and how these two handled it and what it created between them.

Sweet Surrender is more than just a rockstar romance; it's an emotional story that readers will absolutely love.

Hendrix is about to lose her cookie shop because her ex cheated on her them cleaned out the savings account, and left her in debt.
Jace Gizmodo, is a rock star drummer with family secrets that have caused him to act out all of his life. This time, his actions may impact the group and cause them to cancel an international tour. In order to help clean up his reputation, his lawyer/brother tells him to find a woman to marry and to stay out of trouble.
Jace and Hendrix marry for convince they both get what they need out of it, and to help each other with their problems. NDA's are signed, and they both agree not to have sex and cross the line. Needless to say, they couldn't keep that promise.
Kristy Bromberg never disappoints.

4,5 rounded up to 5 stars because I loved Hendrix so much.
Hendrix, the heroine, was smart and put up with Jase's sizz like the queen she was. She didn't hesitate to straight everything up to him. She wrapped up her fingers in Jase thoroughly.

You may have been one of the most random decisions in my life, Cookie Cutter, but I lucked out.

- Sweet Surrender (Backstage Pass Book 2), 37.00%

---

Meanwhile, Jase wasn't the perfect hero I usually adored. He was almost perfect until he didn't. I understood why he acted like that, but I wish he didn't hurt Hendrix that way. He did a little bit grovel but surely not enough for my like.

The banters between Hendrix and Jase were so good. I wish there were more of them bantering. I also wish there were more details on how they acted in public.

Thank you to Ms. Bromberg and Valentine PR for the ARC.

We are back with the rock band Bent and get ready for a roller coaster of emotions for this latest story! We know the predicament these rockstars get themselves into, the latest is Jase needing a wife to help his image. But the spin we get with Jase and Hendrix is not what this reader expected in a good way.

Hendrix is a small business owner; she owns a bakery. She is his opposite, yet turns his world on its end. She shows him what life and love is and crumbles his walls.

I loved this story and cannot wait for more.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

✨ rockstar romance
✨ marriage of convenience
✨ reformed playboy
✨ forced proximity
✨ she’s a baker x he’s a drummer

Look if there’s anything I’m a sucker for it’s a rockstar romance. I live for it. I especially love when the playboy rockers finally meets the girl that changes everything for him. The angst, the tension, the hilarious banter. Jase is an acts of service man and I love that as soon as he meets Hendrix one day in a cozy cafe he can’t seem to stay away. Proposing a marriage to convenience to her was a no brainer when he has to show the judge he’s a changed man. But Hendrix is drowning just trying to save her dream from going under, she didn’t expect a tattooed drummer from the worlds largest rock band to crash land in her life and test her updates of where he is all day long. She certainly doesn’t expect the butterflies she feels when he’s near, especially because it’s fake. The last thing she needs is another man in her life.

Truly this book was so fun. I really loved the dynamic between the band members and the backstory we get on Jase and why he is the way he is. But we also get to see under his tough exterior he’s really just a hurt kid at heart. And the way Hendrix gives his chaos somewhere safe to land but also supporting her dreams and wanting to do whatever it takes to help her. A bit of angst with the ex, delicious jealousy scenes and out of this world spice there’s really nothing your won’t love about these two 😩
