I liked this one. Isaac and Tig were cute. This book is a continuation of Jack and Hudson's book and is about Isaac, Jack's best friend and ex hook up and Tig, Hudson's old friend from high school. Isaac is used to hook ups and one night stands. But other than Jack who he's known all his life no hook up has ever mattered much to him. No one made him feel things but watching Jack and Hudson together makes him think he'd like to have the same thing. Tig and Isaac first meet in the Foggy Basin Holiday novella and they mention it a bit in this book but I think the author could have done a bit better in explaining the reason for the bit of strife between Isaac and Tig in the beginning and it would have been nice to read a bit about them from that time before they stopped talking to when they see each other again here and I think that would have made the story flow a bit more and add that bit of connection to them. But I do like the way the tension didn't stay long because they actually talked and shared their feelings and what they wanted. They were so sweet and spicy together and I loved them. Tig didn't want to just have sex and because of his past with his ex it takes him a bit to want to get physical because he doesn't want to get hurt and he wants to know Isaac better first. It's hard for Isaac because he isnt used to that and the chemistry between them is strong but for Tig he understands and respects him and opens himself up more and more with a bit of teasing to make Tig squirm lol I loved their relationship and how ready they were to fight for their relationship. I'm looking foward to hopefully getting some more Foggy Basin fun!.

We are back visiting Foggy Basin with Isaac, a young (23 yr old) lifelong resident, and Tig, older than Isaac and a former short-time resident who has returned to the calmer life away from the city. Isaac and Tig had met before, but the two weren’t speaking until they both ended up getting a job at the same place. Each one is good friends with part of another couple, Jack and Hudson, from the previous book. Isaac seeing his friend Jack so happy finds him longing for something beyond hookups, and Tig seeing Hudson so happy makes him want a long term relationship with Isaac. Although they start slow, mainly because Tig is leery of too much physical intimacy before knowing each other well, they do find ways to lead up to more of a physical commitment as they learn more about family, relationship/hookup history, and the little things you learn about each other as you start to fall in love.
This is a low angst, slowly developing journey from acquaintances to friends to lovers to partners, set in a small town where most everyone knows your business and doesn’t mind giving advice, where people take care of each other and have their backs, and where two men have the time to fall in love with their “person”, amid a backdrop of large families, friendly work places, and supportive friends and family. These two fit well together, and each finds what they need in the other amid the almost idyllic small town of Foggy Basin. This is an entertaining read with interesting characters and a small town feel to the whole thing, a fairly short one, good for a lazy afternoon or evening curled up with a good book.

I have been hoping we would be treated to Isaac's story and was certainly not disappointed.

In the first book we saw some of Isaac as the friend of Jack, the sometimes friends with benefits. Now his story is shared, and that means we get to know him better, Tig too, his (we hope) boyfriend. Isaac is nothing if not honest about his feelings, about what he wants, he has been known as a whirlwind who does what he wants when he wants but something about Tig settles him, makes him want to do better, to be better, to be truly seen.

When both men find themselves working at the same local factory, Isaac because he needs a job, this one sounds interesting and the boss is willing to take a chance on apprenticing him and Tig because whilst working from home is fine it's a bit lonely. They are in completely different departments but soon find themselves sharing lunches and making after work plans. Tig has been badly hurt in the past and is holding himself back, Isaac can see it, wants to try and understand the other man, realises he can see something serious developing and for once in his life wanting to chase it.

Both men have troubled pasts that they want to move on from and they slowly manage to learn to trust, to share, to open their hearts to one another. They also both discover how much they love the community in Foggy Basin. We, the reader, fall ever deeper in love with the town and its wonderful array of characters, all of whom fit, in their own way and thanks to the town find their way. I highly recommend visiting Foggy Basin!

Nuts and Bolts and Nuts and Bolts Holiday, BL Maxwell's other Foggy Basin stories, gave me the impression that Isaac was not very serious, always up for a lark. Tig didn't come across as any different in the Holiday story. They were just fun secondaries. They hooked up and then Tig ghosted him.
Finding Isaac shows us that they're more than party boys. There's a serious, more thoughtful side. And I liked it. Isaac never had a lasting relationship (he had Jack as a FWB until Hudson). Tig was relationship shy, having been hurt before. They were perfect together. They felt 'sparks' for each other.
Aside from a work accident and some bumps in the road to their HEA, there's very little angst in the story. It's a sweet small town tale. Lot's of support from friends and from Isaac's large and loveable family. My favorite busybody, Mr. Atkins was up for relationship interference.
A fun and quick read by an author I really enjoy. Funny thing, I never realized that this was a multiauthor series, only having read the Maxwell books. And now it's Season two. I've got a lot of reading to catch up on. can't wait.

Isaac Grant is comfortable living in the small town of Foggy Basin, even if Jack - his best friend with benefits - is now in love and in a monogamous relationship. When Isaac begins a new job, he’s surprised to see Tig Sawyer there. Isaac and Tig had met months earlier. While Isaac would have been happy to hook up with Tig right away, Tig shied away, and seems to have been avoiding Isaac since. While Tig grew up in Foggy Basin, he left for a bigger city, but has returned and up to this point has been working remotely at home. When mutual friend Jeff Snyder offers each of them jobs, Isaac decides to figure out how to get Tig. Luckily, the feeling is mutual.

The course of true love does have a few hiccups on the way, with one of Isaac’s former hookups showing up out of the blue one day – and a more serious accident at the facility where Tig and Isaac both work – this is mostly a low-angst, small-town, feel-good romance with a definite HEA. Part of the Foggy Basin season two collection of stories by various authors.

This is part of season two’s multi author Foggy Basin series and features Isaac, best friend to Jack from her books, Nuts and Bolts and Nuts and Bolts Holiday—the characters of which play a pretty good part in this one.

Tig, the other MC, was, I think, my favorite. Older than Isaac by a few years, he was more mature and had such a sweet spirit. He’d also been hurt in a past relationship which, understandably, made him more hesitant to rush into another one but it still made for a slow start; once he committed though, he was all in and the sweetest guy you could imagine.

I don’t want to take anything away from the book because I did enjoy it but I do still wish it hadn’t been such a slow burn. My favorite things, by far, was that there was no angst, no drama and no third act breakup, three things I absolutely look for in a romance when I’m reading for relaxation. Bottom line, I enjoyed it but I wish the pacing had moved along a little bit faster. 4 stars.

Isaac has been in Foggy Basin his whole life and is going to a job interview at one of the last places he expected to work. The job offer is more than he expected but he's willing to try. Tig left Foggy Basin and never expected to return, but after the end of a bad relationship he's come back. He's been doing remote work but the prospect of developing a new system for the rice dryer has him arriving on Isaac's first day. This is not their first meeting but they both admit there's something they want to explore. It's nice to see that Isaac is willing to accept Tig's go slow request for their relationship. The characters are given time to develop individually as well as a couple. There could have been much more drama around the return of past hookups/lovers but it's also nice to see reasonable people. A nice addition to the series.

I loved this book! Isaac and Tig will find each other again and it’s wonderful how their story unfolds. They met at a Christmas party but Tig doesn’t reach out to Isaac after. When they meet up again and find out they’re working at the same place, Tig wants the chance to clear the air. Eventually he gets the chance and he and Isaac start to build something amazing together. Tig has been hurt in the past and it takes him time to trust again and Isaac has never been a relationship type of guy. But the two decide to give it a chance and the relationship that develops is absolutely amazing! Tig will be right by his side when Isaac is injured at work and I love how the accident brings them even closer together. Add in some great friends and Isaac’s rather large and chaotic family and you get a wonderful story that is an absolute must read!.

AN AGE GAP FOUNDING LOVE💕🔩

I am so glad Isaac finally gets his story after Jack his BFWB found Hudson in Nuts and Bolts and what a story enfolds…

Tig Sawyer moves back to Foggy Basin after a five year relationship went south and this is where he meets beautiful straightforward Isaac Grant at a surprise Christmas party for Jack and Hudson but the timing wasn’t right… and he does not do hookups… so he ghosts him…

Months later their paths cross at the same workplace and this is where their sweet, quirky and funny love story starts with the help of Hudson, Jack and Mr Atkins…

“How do you want me to fuck you?”
“Thoroughly,”

It was an engaging read with humour, big families, forgiveness and lots of steam!

ARC review.
A small town romance with an age gap where oposit attract. It was a short, fun, engaging read. The secondary characters were also important for the story.
Tig and Isaac clearly met in the book "Nuts and Bolts", but I haven't read that one.
Tig protects his heart after being burned, and Isaac only do hook ups and fun arrangements. In each other they both find something new and real, something worth taking a chance on.
Tig refuse to do one night stands so Isaac have to play along and get to know one another better, with the intention of starting a relationship. While getting to know each other through dating, talking, romantic gestures and intimacy they fall in love. Some unexpected things happening along the way, but their HEA is well earned.

Short, sweet, great addition to the series

Tig grew up in Foggy Basin, moved away and is now back.
Isaac has always lived in Foggy Basin.
They met at a Christmas party and realized they have great chemistry.
When they realize they'll be working together, both have differing opinions about the situation.
Tig is leery of letting anyone get close again because he doesn't want to be hurt.
Isaac is only interested in hooking up and having fun.
He quickly realizes that if he wants more from Tig he's going to have to put in the effort and actually get to know him.
They develop a friendship that soon becomes more for them both.
They do have some issues but thankfully they're able to resolve things for their HEA.

Foggy Basin used to be Tig Sawyers home when in high school and now years later he has moved back. Isaac has lived in this small town all his life. When Isaac was offered a job at the dryer plant as a maintenance worker he couldn’t turn it down. Tig also was offered a job of upgrading the control center for the plant. Both Tig and Isaac knew each other from the Nuts and Bolts Christmas party. They definitely had chemistry but Tig wanted a committed relationship Isaac didn’t. This is their story the ups, downs full of romance and love.

Isaac and Tig had a previous meeting and Isaac came on to Tig, which wasn't something Tig was ready for as he'd just split up from a rather manipulative ex. Soon they meet again in Foggy Basin, and Tig is into Isaac but isn't sure it will work, so they decide to take things slow. This is a really lovely, well-written and believable romance. I loved it.

Isaac always lived in Foggy Basin wants what his friends have but hadn’t found anyone that interested him. Tig was a friend of Jack or Hudson and met Isaac at a Christmas party they talked but Tig had his issues about relationships to work out. Tig moved back home and took awhile to admit their feelings for each other.

They end up working at the same place and with encouragement, talk to each other. They take their relationship at a slower pace and fall in love. I liked how they handled the accident and recovery for Isaac.

Like Isaac and Tig together. Isaac was Jack's friend from the first series of books.
Tig and Isaac are working for the same company and they are a little scared of how working together will be.
Isaac is in maintenance whilst Tig is in the computer area.
The 2 do get together and its rather sweet.

A great addition to the series. I loved the deep, slow build relationship allowing not only them to really get to now each other but gives the reader a deeper insight to the mc's. Talking about mc's, Isaac and Tig were just such a cute couple. Highly recommend.

Tig and Isaac must have met in odd places before. Seeing each other at The Dryer brings them to the first time they met. Tig pursues Isaac until he listens to what he has to say. They both come to the conclusion they are very attracted to each other and decide a relationship is in order.

Isaac isn't into relationships, he's happy with the way his love life is carefree and no commitment. Then he meets Tig who says he wants more. I really enjoyed this book.
