This is an excellent book to read if you are like me—you want to do better with your money—but you don’t quite know what to do. I’ll have to admit my attitude always was that I didn’t want to think too much about money. I’ll work hard at my job, pay my bills, keep a bank account, and that’s about it.
Well, after having read this book, I can see that I was on the right track, but my attitude toward money needed some minor adjusting. Think of dealing with money as having a skill. Since you work hard to accumulate it, you should treat it with respect and not treat it carelessly. That is one of the major things I learned from this book. Be aware of how you spend your money. You can waste a great deal of it on little things—day to day things you don’t really need. The author gives a lot of great advice when it comes to purchasing things.
But this wonderful book is so much more. I like his personal stories because they make good points how people can complain they don’t have enough money and see the only solution to their dilemma as they need to work longer hours and make more money. They rarely see that they can spend less. They can analyze their spending and see how they can budget, change their spending habits, develop new better habits, begin to save.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs some advice on how to handle their money more efficiently or who was someone like me who thought they didn’t need to think about their money. In the real world, you should be money savvy. This book is for you. 5 stars.
This book is very helpful in saving, giving a thorough look at personal finance and forming good habits. I enjoyed the personal stories in the book, which highlighted the different areas discussed. Everything from budgeting and various types of saving systems is covered in this book, and it is a good reference that clearly makes the subject of saving an achievable goal. I highly recommend this book.
If you’re new to saving, this book is for you. It provides a lot of insight to the principles of saving money along with some good tips and tricks. While not everything suggested in the book is feasible, it’s definitely a great start!
