Dreaming in Animals A Personal Dream Journey I dream in animals. Almost all living animals on earth, including those from various kingdoms and countries, have made an appearance in my eagles, hawks, echidnas, orcas, foxes, raccoons, bears, panthers, lions, dogs, cats, horses, elephants, snakes, turtles, fish, and invertebrates that dwell in the oceans, to name just a few. I’ve also enjoyed visits from mythical creatures such as dragons and human-animal beings called shapeshifters.
I believe dreams speak from humanity’s deepest and earliest knowing, and however strange and magical, our dream reality is our living reality while we are dreaming. Some dreams may spring directly from source (Spirit, all-knowing), an immediate and powerful connection. It might be compared to a direct download of knowing without trials of study and assimilated learning. Some individuals have dreams of this type; I personally know of at least two. Dreams may also come from the collective unconscious, a place we all tap into during sleep, which might be compared to a large ocean of human insight and experience we all share.
My dreams are a source of inspiration for me, and I enjoy learning about them in relation to my life experiences, personal and spiritual growth, emotions, difficulties and troubles, warnings, lessons, joy and laughter, and accomplishments. I don’t feel satisfied with approaching my dreams solely as a dream interpretation exercise, but I find applying these insights to my current life circumstance to be a richly rewarding endeavor. In this book, my objective is to try and discover what my dream animals are telling me about my relationship with myself and my life in light of my spiritual journey. It is a story of a soul-seeking wholeness.
Hello, and welcome! I am a published indie book author, and, illustrator. My Books celebrate art, spirituality, family, unity, and, community, through storytelling and visual art.
Herrmann has a fun, whimsical perspective of the world and says she often dreams in animals. I enjoyed reading her interpretations of the animal dreams she had and even some that she has not quite figured out herself, leaving them open for the reader to theorize on. I am particularly drawn to the beautiful cover, which she illustrated herself!
“Amazing avenue to self heal. Amazing connection with the spiritual messages we receive in ways we aren’t aware of. I have worked with those on their healing path, and, animals and symbols are all messages and can feel like our soul mates revealing what we need. The shadow part that she discusses makes so much sense…This gives others an easier way of healing as we all are fearful looking within—so thank you for presenting another option for others to self heal.”----- Cheryl M. Hall, PA-C MHS CHT, integrative holistic healer
“A rich source of dream exploration and meaning. I was happy to discover in this book that Tracy approaches the meaning of her dreams in an individualistic manner. I have often thought that ones' dream imagery might express ones' own iconography and meaning rather than general symbolism…I like that for some dreams Tracy writes that she doesn't yet know what they mean. All the imagery is vivid; swans swimming under water, yellow snakes, eating ladybugs...just to name a few. And the riddles section is an added dimension. It is as if her dream spirit guides are trying every fruitful method to help her, guide her, which makes me glad that she ¬has this kind of rich connection to, and understanding of, the metaphysical world in which we are embedded.”----- Holly Lane, visual artist and sculptor
