What happens when the eternally single curvy girl becomes the blue-collar bad boy's new obsession?

I love my small town and having all my friends and family around. But I'm almost forty and still single. Clearly, my Prince Charming isn't finding me here. Especially with my car continually breaking down and sending me to Hayes Madigan's shop.

The tatted mechanic acts like being a perpetual bachelor is the only point of life. He's happy with his parade of one-night stands and regular hookups.

But I want more. I want romance, the kind of love that sweeps you off your feet and takes your breath away.

So when I get offered a job in Dallas, I think it might be my chance to meet someone and finally have my own happily ever after.

Except Hayes surprises me by asking me out. After spending more time with him, I have to wonder: Am I just another number on his list? Or is he giving me the reason I need to stay in Cottonwood Falls?

My favorite stories are the ones that make you laugh, cry, and feel. In all of my books, you’ll find amazing curvy women, heartwarming moments, and plenty of laughter.

I currently live in Colorado where I watch way too many rom coms, chase my three boys up the mountains (huffing and puffing), and write books for lovely readers like you.

I’m a sucker for a bad boy, and Hayes? He almost fits the bill. Tatted, a little rough around the edges, and living his single life to the fullest, he’s the mechanic MMC you can’t help but be curious about. But beneath all that tough guy swagger is major golden retriever energy (even if he’d never admit it), and that combo completely worked for me.

Della, on the other hand, is a total romantic. She’s been dreaming of love and her “perfect man” forever, but Hayes? Not on her radar. These two have known each other for years and never once saw the other as a possibility… until they did. Watching that shift happen was so fun to read.

I loved watching Hayes slowly let his guard down and go all in for Della. It was sweet and unexpected. And Della’s journey of letting go of her assumptions and seeing Hayes for who he really is was just as satisfying. There’s banter, chemistry, tension, and genuinely funny moments throughout. The writing made this such an easy and enjoyable read. I flew through it in one sitting.

This was my first book in the series, but it definitely won’t be my last. I’m already eyeing the rest because I really enjoyed Kelsie Hoss’s style and voice. If you love a sunshine and grumpy switch-up with a side of flirty chaos and slow-burn goodness, Hello Trouble is worth checking out.

“Was it too much to hope that someone would notice me, Chase me , love me? “ - Della

Loved this book so much!
I’ve read all the previous books in the Hello Series, so got glimpses of Hayes (MMC) and his womanizing ways.
He absolutely LOVED being single and was not interested in ever settling down.

Della is best friends with Hayes’ sister in law Liv, and has taken a job in Dallas hoping to expand her pool of eligible men, and finally find her happily ever after. She’s got 3 months to get everything together.

Then Hayes asks her on a date 🤯

Hayes is so perfect in this book! So swoon worthy 😍 ugh 100% book boyfriend material!

The banter is adorable. I just couldn’t get enough of them ❤️

This book was sooo fun!!
You know a found family trope was done right when i haven’t read the other books in the series & it STILL hits!
-Grumpy x sunshine
-Good girl/bad boy
-Reverse age gap
-He falls first
-Small town

I absolutely devoured this one. When I say I want GRUMPY x sunshine, THISSS is what i’m talking abt🤌🏼🤌🏼
When I first started the book, I was very unsure of Hayes. He was giving ✨arrogant✨ but as the story progressed, he had such good character development in this story!
He also had me laughing so many times, he’s just so sassy for no reason😂 I loved getting to see him mature & get out of his bachelor ways. He was SO down bad for Della. Their connection was the sweetest, the banter was so good!!
Della was a literal ball of sunshine, I adored her so much. Her personality really brought Hayes down a notch & honestly just made him a better person.
The epilogue of this book was EVERYTHING I needed. I was laughing so much during this book that I wasn’t expecting the ending to pack such a punch but 🥹🥹

Overall, this was such a good time and it really makes me want to go back & read this series start to finish to get all the other characters stories!

Thank you so much Kelsie Hoss for reaching out to me abt an ARC copy!!💗

I received an ARC of Hello trouble to review. This is my first Kelsie Hoss book to read. I’ve been eyeing them for a while but haven’t pulled the trigger. After reading this book, I’m going to Order the bundle. The characters were so relatable and the story was very enjoyable to read. Della was a strong, lovable, sassy character and the banter between her and Hayes was great. Hayes was guarded. He had a tough shell to break through to get to his softness. He was afraid of getting hurt so he didn’t but himself out there. They managed to get past all their obstacles to get to their happy ending. Very enjoyable story.

Enjoyed this so much!! Hayes’ cockiness had me G R I N N I N G!!! He’s so funny and so hot, I loved seeing him trying to be his too cool for school self while sunshine Della with a bit of a bratty streak gets under his skin. So fun. The whole first part of the book just had me giggly.

Some of the lines are just so relatable. I already knew as I’ve read all this authors’ books and so on, but you can tell this is written by a plus size woman who gets what it can be like to be a plus size woman but it’s not overly emphasised. There’s just some aspects were like extremely true to life and I appreciated the realistic rep

I loved how Hayes is this self assured ladies man sexually but when it comes to dating he’s adorably nervous. I just kept thinking the whole time I was reading, “this book is so f-ing cute!” I will note that Hayes isn’t as “bad boy” as expected, so I wouldn’t go into it thinking you’ll get a real bad boy type. That gets dispelled pretty early on. But he has a bit of attitude and has some broken bits inside.

Della cracked me up, I liked how sassy she is and it just melds well with Hayes’ cockiness. Their teasing back and forth was great.

The story was so enjoyable and the epilogue was so sweet and had me in tears. Love these men with big feels and big hearts.

There’s some open door scenes which are nice but on the whole the book is more on the cozy/sweet and wholesome side. Small town vibes. It just felt like a big hug and I adore that.

Great read, can recommend! It’s one of my faves of the series! It can be read as a standalone but I think is better read in order as you get more of a taste of how Hayes comes across in prior books and it makes this one that much better!

4/5 ⭐️

Hello Trouble is the latest addition to Kelsie Hoss’s collection and my first experience with her writing. I must confess, I have several of her books on my TBR list, but due to the sheer volume, I kept postponing them until I finally picked this one up. I’m so pleased I did, and now I’m eager to dive into her previous works and explore more of her stories. I loved every aspect of this book. The reading experience felt so smooth and enjoyable. What stood out to me was how Hayes was portrayed as more than just the typical bad boy persona that everyone assumed he was. I dare say I had teary eyes by the conclusion of the book, and in the most wonderful way. With each page I turned, my curiosity about the other characters in the narrative only grew.

If you are looking for a quick, cozy, heartwarming read, this is for you.

Della’s officially on the market as her friends attempt to find her dates with the last eligible men in town. On that list is Hayes, the town’s flirt, who has a different lady in his bed every night. Della and Hayes’ relationship has always been lighthearted and full of banter… but what happens when they realize that what they thought were easy-going flirtations have actually started something very real?

This story was cute! I loved our bright and sunny FMC, and really empathized with her desire to change her circumstances in the hopes of finding a partner to settle down with. I loved that she was more mature! The banter between our MCs was charming and sweet, as was the ’switch’ that flipped leading to our MMC recognizing what had been in front of him all along. The third act conflict broke my heart alongside the characters… I was rooting for them so hard! We got our HEA, though, so I’m happy!

What I Loved About This Story:
✨Mature MCs; she’s 10 years older
✨Best friend’s brother-in-law
✨Playboy MMC & off-limits FMC
✨FMC was so sunshiney and adorable!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book via the author, but my review is all my own.

I was lucky enough to get chosen for the ARC experience of Kelsie Hoss’ newest book ‘Hello Trouble’ (which will be published June 26, 2025) and I devoured it!

How Kelsie manages to create an entirely captivating world in less than 300pgs is probably my most favorite thing. Right away the characters felt relatable, and there was even a scene that reminded me of my grandparent’s love story 🥰 This book touched on how fear can keep us from some of life’s greatest gifts. There were also some characters that wanted the best for the main characters, but didn’t exactly go about it in the best of ways (and who can’t relate to that). This book also focused on two characters who were doing well in every area of life except for love and how fun it is to find someone who is willing to lovingly annoy you for the rest of their lives. The character growth alone has me wanting everyone I know to read this book. I love being able to root for characters in that way! Kelsie is also top tier when it comes to spicy scenes. The scenes in this one had me blushing at times and crying happy tears during others.
My only qualms with this book are some of the ways she described the spice (‘mound’ and ‘mess of his spend’ to be specific) which gave me pause before I could jump back into it and Hayes’ lip ring. He seemed to be chewing on it the entire first half of the book and, for me personally, it was a bit distracting.
Other than those incredibly minor notes, I loved this book and look forward to reading anything and everything by Kelsie Hoss! 🩷

Thank you so much to Kelsie Hoss for the ARC 💖

This is only my third read in the Hello series and I have to say it is my favourite. I genuinely couldn’t put it down.

Of course I loved that Della was plus size but that was a given as all the fmc’s in this series are. The thing that surprised and delighted me was her age. The moment I read her describe herself as almost 40 I was excited, finally a fmc who isn’t between the ages of 19 -28. Also a late 30’s fmc who is single and fun and sweet, not a grumpy workaholic. It’s was also refreshing to see the reverse age gap. This one is killing all the stereotypes and social norms and I love it!

Their relationship and how it develops is cute, fun and sweet. Hayes not only falls first but he shows he knows Della and truly cares about her with the way he goes about dating her and the dates. Hayes is going into the top 5 of book boyfriends and Della is so much fun I wish she was my friend (we would definitely understand each other)

I have to mention the spice and it was 🔥🔥🔥 the scene where they ‘celebrate’ good news is 🥵. IYKYK.

Eeeekkk!!! I have been sooooo excited to read Hayes’s story! I’m a red head and married to a mechanic. I’ve always loved being in the garage around cars, race cars, motorcycles, etc. This definitely did not disappoint. I loved every bit of this story and had to slow down so I didn’t read it all in one sitting. Thank you for the advanced copy Kelsie! I’m so grateful and a definite fan of your work.

ARC REVIEW
I was nervous going into Hello Trouble—the bad boy/good girl trope can easily miss the mark. But thankfully, that wasn’t the case here. Hayes loved Della from the very beginning. He was intentional, steady, and became the man he knew he needed to be for her. Honestly, I wouldn’t even call him a “reformed bad boy”—because aside from his potty mouth and spicy talk, everything about him screamed sexy cinnamon roll.

I’m so glad Della took a chance on him. If she hadn’t, she would’ve stayed stuck waiting on a Prince Charming and settling for a love far smaller than what she deserved. Hello Trouble is a feel-good, slightly spicy romance that’s perfect for a quick read and gives you front-row seats to a great love story.

I’ve adored the Hello series from the beginning—and this one? It quickly became a top 3 favorite. Well done!

I love fat bitches getting loved, bro.

Kelsie Hoss is always writing about incredible plus sized women getting loved properly.

Hayes is your new fav reformed bad boy bachelor and Della could truly have him crawling for her.
Some of Hayes dialogue had me barking.

The pining was delectable, the wooing was divine, and the ending had me in TEARS.

ALSO—the entire book all I could think about was how badly I wanted Gray to get a book and then she literally dropped at the end that his book is NEXT!!!
I hooted and hollered.
I’m so mad it doesn’t come out until 12/31.
I’ll commit crimes for an arc again, Kels, just let me know which ones you want me to do.

I was fortunate enough to be sent the ARC for Hello Trouble. This book had me hooked in the first chapter, that’s never happened to me before!
I just finished reading this and my emotions are all over the place right now. First off, thank you Kelsie for giving me this amazing opportunity. I was actually in tears while reading this. I instantly fell in love with Hayes, I loved his growth, the way he realized he could be better and took action.
I loved Della so much she’s so sweet and joyful and she made me giggle plenty of times, the jokes she said sounded like something I’d say, the way she said certain things even gave me second hand embarrassment and had me kicking my feet, especially after the date with Ben when she tried to kiss him.
When I finished reading Hello Trouble there was only one thought in my mind, that’s how proud I was of Hayes for still being himself but changing his ways. I resonated with him the most, he guarded his heart because he was afraid of the one he loved most leaving him. I balled my eyes out when he had that nightmare and went to his dad. I love that he knows even when he’s trying to stay strong that he can always go to his family. My favorite part was when he went to fletcher and his brother knew exactly how to handle him.
Hello Trouble honestly deserves more than 5 stars. Im a bit sad I finished reading it. This will definitely be awhile till it’s off my mind. I’ll most definitely recommend this book!

If you’re looking for a romance with, a plus size main character, some spice, a hot tatted male lead and small town romance than say “Hello Trouble”

The queen Kelsie brings us another great romance - this time through Della and Hayes. Hayes is the resident bad boy mechanic and Della works in insurance. She thinks there’s no fish left in the small pond and decides its time for a change… but then Hayes sweeps in and life does a 180.

I absolutely adored this heartwarming romance. It’s also fantastic for those wanting to diversify their reading. It was fast paced and I felt like the romace worked so well. I absolutely love this series and find its always a good time. I can’t wait to read more.

4.5⭐️ Hayes is the ultimate swoony book boyfriend OMG! Just when you think you can’t love him more, he does something so thoughtful and adorable!
Hayes and Della complimented each other so much and I loved seeing their love grow!
I thought Liv was just an awful best friend to Della, the way she would talk about Hayes and even doubt him so much. It all comes together in the end as you expect, but she was definitely my least favourite person.
I also loved that considering this is book 9 in a series and I haven’t read any of the others, i didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. Every character was still well developed to dive into a long series.

HAYES F***ING MADIGAN 😍😍😍

I was lucky enough to be chosen as a member of the ARC team for Hell Trouble! Kelsie did it again & made me fall in love with the Madigan boys even more. I absolutely ate this book up. I adored Della & Hayes’s relationship journey. It kind of reminded me of the start of mine & my husband’s relationship, except I was the grumpy, and he was definitely the sunshine. Lol.

I related to Della so much, though, feeling like the friend who was always overlooked because I didn’t look like society thought I should. Feeling like everyone around me was getting their happily ever after & like I was on a time crunch to find mine before it was too late. But just like me, Della found love when & where she least expected it.

Something about a perpetually (and happily) single bad boy falling so unwillingly hard for a woman does it for me every time. It’s like you can feel Hayes’s heart being pulled & bursting through the pages. I loved seeing his character growth throughout the book & just couldn’t help but fall in love with him.

I think this is officially my favorite of the Hello series. 🥰

Kelsie, thank you so much for choosing me as one of the ARC readers for this book. This is my first ever ARC read and I am
over the moon that it was for an author who means so much to me. I am so blessed. 🩷

Kelsie Hoss has only gone and done it again!! I love her writing so much and her brand new Novel Hello Trouble did not disappoint!

Hayes is a grumpy bad boy, PIERCED and tattooed, who is a notorious womanizer. Della is hopeless romantic, looking for a forever Kind of love. She is a sunshine, curvy girl who loves baking. Together they are completely perfect for each OTHER!!

I really enjoyed this book from start to finish, the banter between them is great and the sweet moments between them were really beautiful. Abssolute Perfection from start to finish!! Cannot wait for the next book in the series!! OBSESSED!!

Smitten with Hayes

Kelsie has done it again! Even though this book is a little shorter, chapter wise, verses her previous books in the Hello series, this one made me smile throughout the entire read. I laughed through the banter between Hayes and Della. I love how she wrote Hayes as this edgy but a little grumpy bad boy with a heart every woman would swoon over. I could not put this book down. The romance, tension, and passionate scenes were just right. The dads in this book were the cutest too; reminds me of the protectiveness of my dad. I love how she connects the characters from her previous books and we can see a little into how their lives progress in the story. I have to go back and finish the last 2 books to complete the series. The book flowed perfectly! Do not miss out on this book. Thank you Kelsie and the ARC Team for allowing me the opportunity to read this title!

Della has always longed for a loving partner and a family of her own. With dating options running out in her small town, she takes a new job in hopes of a fresh start. Hayes, known for avoiding commitment, prefers casual flings to protect his heart.

When Della and Hayes form an unexpected bond, their friendship slowly turns into something deeper. But letting go of fear and the past, might be their biggest challenge. Narrators Luke Welland and Allyson Voller are a perfect match for these characters, capturing the warmth and tenderness of Della and Hayes’ journey with heart and authenticity. If you're in the mood for a sweet, uplifting romance, this one definitely deserves a spot on your TBR!

This is a fun quick palate cleanser romance between a plus-size almost 40 year old FMC and the small town's grumpy tattooed motorcycle bad boy. There was fun banter but overall I found the book to be kind of “bare bones”… I liked the idea of older character, but found Della’s character more in line with an early 20-something. She felt too immature to be almost 40.

WOW!!!! That one word sums up Della and Hayes perfectly. I absolutely love their banter. From the very beginning of the story the chemistry between these 2 is undeniable. There are sparks flying and tension is building from the first tow truck ride.
Hayes bad boy image immediately, at least for me, gets the engine revving and with Della being a complete innocent, according to family and friends, it's automatically a recipe for hot and steamy.
Several times I had to put down my Kindle because, whew these guys were on 🔥. Well done once again Kelsey. Thank you so much for allowing me to ARC this amazing piece of art.

I'm totally obsessed with this book! It's officially my new favorite in the Hello series. Hayes and Della are total opposites but somehow fit perfectly together. They have a slow burn romance that’s filled with delicious tension, and it's definitely worth the wait! Their story took me on an emotional rollercoaster in the very best way. I laughed, cried, and swooned! If you like small town heartfelt romance, then this book is definitely for you. I highly recommend it!

As someone who has read every book in this series and absolutely loved them, this sadly missed the mark for me.

Hayes was not as rough and broody as he seemed to be in the previous books. I think maybe the expectation I had of him messed it up for me. I went in thinking I was reading an about a bad boy but he came off much more… cinnamon roll. Which is not bad, but again.. just not what I thought I was going into.

I’m all for an age gap (reverse age gap) Della is meant to be nearing 40 and she comes off more like a 23 year old. I had a hard time connecting both characters to the ages they were supposed to be.

I do always love Kelsie’s little sneak peeks she does of the next book’s characters. The most exciting part of this for me was knowing whose book comes next…….. 👀

First time ARC reader and I’m so happy I was chosen! I spent the day at my pool reading about Hayes and Della and I can only say I wish there was more. I thought I was a Tyler fan, until Rhett came along. Well…as much as I love Rhett I think Hayes has won my heart! I love that he finally realized the random women weren’t worth it and captured his love! As someone who was almost 40 when she found her love…with a younger man…and ironically a dog named Chopper, I loved Della so much and could feel her need to find love. Grab some hot chocolate, a “snackie” and a copy of Hello Trouble. I promise you won’t regret it. Kelsie sure knows how to tell an amazing story! God love the Madigan men!

A clumsy meet-cute, hot chocolate, cheeful heroine and a tatted grumpy mechanic? SAY LESS.

I devoured Hello Trouble in one sitting. Della is the plus-size, about to celebrate her 40th bday romantic bestie I never knew I needed, and Hayes? OUFF. The sexual tension, him riding his restored motorcycle, showing his soft side with his nephews... I’m unwell after that book.

I received this book as an ARC.

I loved it! I've to say that this book is the first one I've read in the series, and now I'm determined to work my way through the author's backlist.

Loved Della and could relate with her 100%! The tension was steamy, and I like how she kept him on his toes!
