Streaming competitive military shooters isn’t just a hobby; it’s my entire life and somewhere along the way, I picked up a loyal following, including Carter Hart.
Carter’s been in my chat almost every night for the last year—sending donations, dropping sweet compliments, and always cheering me on. He’s the kind of guy who makes you feel safe, even through a screen, and after months of flirty messages and late-night voice chats, I finally say yes to meeting him in person. He’s everything I expected: kind, thoughtful, and a little shy. But what I didn’t expect?
Tate—Carter’s twin brother and my anonymous, masked gaming rival. He’s the one who’s been trash-talking me online for months and the one who pushes every button I have. One twin wants to worship me, while the other wants to ruin me—and I, on the other hand, want both.

This is a taboo, high-heat why choose romance featuring twin brothers, a gamer heroine, and a whole lot of rules getting broken.

I’m S.L. Gray — a contemporary romance indie author based in the rainy (hoa hoa hoa) PNW. I write spicy stories with plenty of heart and sometimes I throw all shame out the window and go full smut. My books are powered by caffeine, dark (t)rap music, and inspired by the fear of being average. When I’m not drafting chaos, you can find me gaming (COD girlie forever), hoarding unread books or binging an unhealthy amount of paranormal and true crime content. I write for the readers who love banter, angst, touch-starved obsession, and characters who make bad decisions for good reasons.

So let me start off with saying that I was very excited for this ARC. Thank you S.L Gray for allowing me to read this before release!

Minimal plot. Lots of spice. Loved it. The spice was spicy and I was living for it!…when I could understand which position they’re in or where they’re at.
They start in the bedroom, but somehow teleport to the couch?
She’s on her back. Tate has his mouth on her breast, but somehow Carter is leaned over her kissing her? How’s that work?
Carter kisses her spine, but her back is flush with Tate’s chest?
I just don’t think anatomy works that way, unless they’re all contortionists. I had to go back pages multiple times to see if I was interpreting wrong or if it was written that way. No. It was written that way.

Let me also say, some things were so repetitive. Like actually repeated phrases.
“Like she doesn’t know if she should intervene or let this completely derail into something she never saw coming” four paragraphs after “like she doesn’t know if she should intervene or let this play out”.
Tate comes in, claps, makes some snide remark and then leaves. Twice within a chapter.
This honestly makes me feel like it was written by ai. Just fed a bunch of character cards and a scene and let the ai write. Because that’s exactly how ai writes. It’ll repeat phrases with little tweaks every few paragraphs. I hate to assume that, but that’s all I thought about the entire time I was reading this was I was reading ai slop.

I was so excited for this book, and it’s got some good parts to it! But it was just very repetitive and I just feel like it needs so be cleaned up, rewritten, reread, and re-edited because that was an exhausting read, and not in a good way.

Ummmmm YESSSS! When I tell you I was begging for this book.. I was on my knees 😏 and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! 🥵🥵 Good god to have a black cat AND golden retriever!? You won the friggen lottery! Carter was just so sweet and innocent and absolutely adorable! His love and affection for Haven was just the sweetest. But I will say I was drawn more to Tate 🥵🥵😍 the bad boy, man of few words but the words he says are just omg make you melt 🥵 Let’s not forget Haven!! Gamer girl living out the best of both worlds fantasy! I absolutely could get enough of these three! The spice was definitely spicing!

The only thing missing from this story was definitely Tate’s POV 😩 I wish that we had gotten it because I desperately want to know how he was thinking and feeling leading up to Haven’s visit! I also hope that we get more of a back story for Carter and Tate because there seems to be something going on with them that they haven’t dealt with.. over all I devoured this book and am feral waiting for book two 🤣 If you are looking for a little taboo read that pushes boundaries then this one is for you. It’s a must read if I do say so myself 😉 Thank you S.L Gray for my ARC I CANNOT wait for the next book ❤️

I received an ARC of No Save Point, and overall, I really enjoyed the book. The spice was great—definitely one of the highlights—but I did find some parts of the story a bit repetitive. Several scenes started to feel similar, which slowed down the pacing for me at times.

That said, I loved the dynamic between the twins. Yes, they’re identical, but S.L. Gray did a great job giving each brother his own personality. They truly felt like individuals, not just mirror images of each other, and that added a lot of depth to the story.

The female lead was also a standout. She’s confident, unapologetic, and really in tune with both men. I appreciated how she adapted to each of them in her own way—recognizing their differences and loving them accordingly. It felt mature and emotionally nuanced.

I was really hoping for more of Tate’s perspective, especially toward the end. It felt like he was starting to open up emotionally and trying to show up more for Haven as their relationship got more serious. I just wanted more of that vulnerability from him, but I’m hoping we’ll get deeper into his character in the second book.

All in all, a spicy, emotional read with great character dynamics—and I’m looking forward to what comes next!

I received a free advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review

I am so so grateful that I feel so bad that this didn't hit the mark for me 😭

ok so, Carter = 💘

I'm a huge Why Choose girlie but that's exactly why this lost a star from me:

1. Why was Tate antagonizing Carter so much? That just doesn't track with twin relationships...

2. 0 investment into Tate, how am I supposed to feel the Why Choose without any background?

I love me some spice but this book lost yet another star from me and I feel so bad:

1. 15% plot and 85% smut which wouldn't bother me except that it also wasn't clear with a larger focus on Tate and Carter instead of including Haven

2. This feels like a book you'd read online or those apps but I am definitely going to try to reread again when it comes out because I know the author is working really hard

The gamer/streamer vibes are sick, the banter, the playfulness, the tension, THE SPICE. WOOOOOOO MISS MAAM. Oh my goodness OH MY GOODNESS. Had me blushing, giggling, and kicking my feet!!

Okay, this is hard for me because I had HUGE expectations for the book, and while so many parts of it lived up to my expectations, some of the inconsistencies/plot errors made me not be able to fully enjoy it like I wanted.

I love the characters, Haven is a hero for taking all that…😏. Carter is the best cinnamon roll, always wanting to please and so conscious of Haven and everything he’s doing. Tate is simply *chefs kiss*, his dgaf attitude, his rough edges and black cat energy- so good.

I loved Carter for the exact opposite reasons I loved Tate.

That being said, I did notice a few moments that pulled me out of the story- like characters being in one place but then the scene describing them in another (e.g. being on the sofa, then suddenly gripping sheets; someone smirking while wearing a mask). These kinds of details disrupted the flow a little because my brain had to pause and reframe what was happening.

If you’re looking for pure smut, twin brothers, gamer theme and characters with frankly insane stamina then it’s definitely worth picking up. You just can’t go wrong with a twin brother romance 🖤

Im so grateful being apart of the ARC. This was my first ARC and it may have spoiled me! This book was absolutely incredible. Some of the pacing did seem a touch too fast in certain scenes, but other than that this was a wonderful read! I can't wait to read the next book! Tate and Carter are so sexy and such wonderful opposites that I would have a hard time choosing too!

In a why choose scenario who would not want it to involve brothers-better yet twins. No save point is a fast pace, why choose romance involving two streamers, one of them being a twin.
Because this book is an arc I won’t judge the inconsistency and plot error so greatly but there were definitely some things I wished were fleshed out.

I liked all three characters. Carter the golden retriever, Tate pure chaos and Haven the unapologetic FMC. I wish we got to know why Tate antagonized Carter and what his whole deal was. I want more backstory, more depth and maybe Tate’s Pov and hopefully we’ll get that in book two.

The smut and the ‘love triangle’ were front and center. 20%plot 60% smut and tension.

The setting felt vague at times, which made it confusing to understand what was going on, who was where...etc

If you are into spicy spicy romance with some why choose you’ll likely enjoy No Save Point.
(check TW before reading)
Can’t wait for book 2!, crossing fingers for some Tate pov!!!

***This is an Arc review***
NO SAVE POINT - S.L GRAY
1⭐️

Listen I was so excited for this arc, I truly was but oh brother.
The writing was so bad it gave me a stress rash. It was literally so hard to read and not in like a fun wow this book is so bad way, nope, in a omg I literally cannot read another page of this bad.
Apparently it underwent mayor editing right before it was published but I wont be checking to see if that’s true I’m just here to review the arc.

First it started with a few inconsistencies, like the mmc asking the fmc and her friend if they’ve eaten yet, them saying no and that they’re starving, then taking them to a coffee shop to get a coffee and only a coffee. Then dropping them off at the rbnb the fmc rented to tell them he’s gonna pick them up in a couple hours for dinner??

I was utterly confused and had to reread those scenes thrice

Then it continued with them opening and closing their mouths every other sentence bc they’re not sure what to say
“I open my mouth. Close it.”
“I open my mouth, close it.”
“Carter opens his mouth. Closes it.”
“I open my mouth, close it.”
Those are all different instances

Also carter the mmc is never expecting the fmc havens questions
”Carter tilts his head slightly, like he wasn’t expecting the question.”
“Carter smirks, but I don’t miss the way his fingers flex, like he wasn’t expecting the question.”
“Carter pauses, blinks like he wasn’t expecting the question.”

After that I kinda checked out, though I do have to say I don’t understand the brother thing one bit. Carter keeps repeating what an asshole and psychopath Tate, his brother, is but he’s LIVING with him. If you hate him so much move out. My brother in Christ.

all in all the book was utterly confusing and badly written.
Just based on the arc I wouldn’t recommend reading no save point.
If the tropes very much intrigue you though you could give it a chance and see for yourself if the rewrites and edits have been as thorough as promised.

Twin brothers. One’s a red flag wrapped in leather and chaos. The other? A cinnamon roll in desperate need of corruption. And me? I’m just sitting here whispering “why not both?”

S.L. Gray serves up the ultimate why-choose temptation:
➤ One twin is the walking definition of bad decisions, tattoos, and tension so thick you could cut it with a blade.
➤ The other is a sweet, golden retriever virgin with a heart of gold and absolutely no idea what to do with his hands (don’t worry, we’ll teach him 😏).

This book is fast, filthy, and FUN. The banter? Sharp. The spice? Sinful. The plot? Just unhinged enough to keep your heart racing. If you love chaos with a side of cinnamon and no intention of choosing, this is your next obsession.

I have been torn between 3 and 4 stars for this book since a half-start isn't an option for rating. If it were 3.5 stars is what I'd have selected.

Firstly, the smut. THE SMUT. This smut is smutting. It's got all the spice no sword crossing because.. brothers and it's not that kind of smut. But if you find yourself torn between a whimpering, praise-loving, virgin golden retriever and a self-assured, experienced, black cat with a sprinkle of degradation this is gonna scratch that brain itch real good for you. You get to have your comfort and boundary-pushing too!

Now for the story.. it has so much potential. My biggest complaint is missing Tates POV. I know it's intentional that his POV isn't in this book but I feel so strongly that the story NEEDS it. There are three main characters and missing that perspective robs the story so much of what it could be. You know that Tate has some sort of invested interest in Haven but since Tate is so much more reserved and closed off in his interactions with everyone I just felt like something was missing the entire book.

There isn't a lot of backstory about the MC's lives so there is a lot of animosity between Carter and Tate that doesn't really get explained. They are opposites of course but from the interactions between Carter and Tate it just seems like they don't even really like each other and I'm so curious about what their dynamic is when Haven isn't around. The story only covers the weekend Haven visits and I questioned if the brothers even interacted in any capacity before this book started.

There are a few minor plot holes where the scene starts off in the bedroom and then suddenly they're on the couch but that's just me being nit-picky.

Overall it's an OK story but it's a smut-shining book. It's hot, the characters are loveable, and you don't have any 3rd act break-ups, miscommunication tropes which is genuinely refreshing. It's spicy, cozy, and my biggest complaint is I want more.

I liked it, I see potential, but this honestly needs more trigger warnings than there are.

So, to start with, I have to mention consent. This is dub-con at best, at worst, maybe more. And while I personally am okay with reading dub-con, I know a lot of people aren't. Please take care of yourselves before going into this book

Now, with that out of the way, let's get to the review.

I was utterly devouring this book up until around the 25% mark. The writing was great, the gaming and streaming references were accurate, the dynamics between the bestie, the FMC and our golden retriever MMC were hilarious and perfect, and he honestly had me swooning early in the book with how sweet he was

But the second they got back to their house, the extremely long scene started, and that's where I started checking out.

We met the darker twin, and I was expecting to be sold on him, but I wasn't.. he just kind of annoyed me and was oddly one dimensional. He does get a bit better towards the end but for 90% of the book he didn't really draw me in

Then the couch scene seemed to go around in circles over and over, and it was like 10 chapters(?) for just this one scene! Look, I love smut, I do, but no scene needs to last this long.

I'm sorry. It might've been hot, but have you ever been having spicy time and had it last entirely so long you just want it over with? That was this scene.

Sadly, this kind of took away from the amazing start for me. I loved a good why-choose twin romance with some spice, which is what I was expecting based on the description, but this was more of an insta-lusty erotic novel.

Overall, I have heard that there have been some major changes from the ARC to the final product, so hopefully this includes the spice. I would recommend if so, but I'm rating based on my experience

I like the concept, but oh good god is the writing atrocious. It was either written by or edited by Ai or both. it's extremely repetitive. There is a minimum of one grammatical or spelling error per page. there are tons of missing words, and one sentence in particular makes zero sense due to either an added word or the wrong word.

-ARC Review-

Masked gamer x golden retriever? I'm SAT. Let's be honest, this was mostly smut, not plot. Did I love every bit of it? Absolutely. I ate up every single chapter of this book and I'm waiting by my window for book two.

Carter is a cinnamon-roll virgin who is obsessed with Haven, a streamer whose chat he stays in. While Haven streams, there's one masked man who ticks her off just right every time. Tate, twin brother to Carter and total brooding over confident asshole. The best of both worlds, with innocent whimpering Carter and merciless Tate taking what he wants when he wants. It explored the boundaries within their dynamic and the process and emotions they went through to get to their end result while working through the prominent sibling rivalry.

Their dynamic is perfect, and the way the characters grew through the story was great, and getting to have that insight into what was going on in their heads helped me to connect with the characters so much more. I am glad it was confirmed that book two will have Tate's POV, that easily would've put this book at 5 stars for me. I am going to need us to revisit that last chapter in book two..

I have so many things I want to say. As an ARC reader I’m very disappointed in *some* other ARC readers giving this amazing book lower ratings knowing that there would be some errors, the book is edited again before publication, the errors or minor plot holes are something to note but shouldn’t affect your overall review. We also knew going into it that there would be NO POV for Tate, not sure how that qualifies for a reduction in its rating when you knew ahead of time. I feel bad for the author for the other ARC readers poor etiquette.

With that being said let’s fee to the book. I was so pleased to receive an ARC of this book, it was such an anticipated read and it absolutely lived up to the hype. This could have been a 600 page book and I would still have wanted more. S. L. Gray has such a unique way of writing. Her being a gamer herself gives her the insight into the topic of the book she’s writing which is very important for the overall plot.
Tate, Carter and Haven have such a special place in my heart because of NSP. We got to see a little of Havens best friend and without a doubt it was my exact relationship with my best friend.
I was giggling and kicking my feet like a little kid while also locking myself away because that spice? It blew the rating scale.

I wanted to give a fully spoiler free review but just know you will be on the edge of your seat waiting for [redacted] (which I feel should now be the official title because we’ve all referred to it as such this whole time😂).

I’m honored to be an ARC reader and can’t wait to Beta read [redacted] for such an amazing author!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of No Save Point! I saw a post on threads about the premise and I was begging to read this. Twin brothers? Yes. Dark and chaotic x sweet golden retriever? Yes. FMC who gets worshipped? Yes.
SPOILERS BELOW

This book is mostly spice (which I have no issue with) and it was SPICY. I loved every minute of Tate and Carter sharing Haven. The way all three characters navigated their relationship and learned what they needed from each other created such a great found family effect.

I heard we’re getting Tate’s POV in book 2 and I am so ready. I need to know more about our dark and twisty boy. I would love to hear more about Tate and Carter’s life as well!

FIVE FILTHY STARS FOR THIS BOOK. I’m down bad for these two men. I’ve never read a gamer romance but as someone who does game I LOVED IT! All it took was a cinnamon roll comment and I was a goner. If you are looking for a fun, steamy 🥵🥵, gamer, twin brothers smutty romance then you are in the right place. We have a golden retriever energy king, Carter and a black cat broody, Tate. And oh my godddd when you put them together?! I’ll tell you what, Haven is a lucky lucky girl shewwww.

The banter, the angst, the QUOTES?!! So good. Give this a try and you won’t be disappointed…..oh and it’s a duet?! So our brothers will be back for more

Thank you so much to S.L. Gray for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

No Save Point was a spicy, no-holds-barred ride. I’d say about 40% plot and 60% smut. But honestly, I’m here for it. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts, and the steamy scenes are… intense.

What I didn’t expect was the amount of world-building (lowkey thought it was going to be pure smut). There’s definitely room for this story to expand in future books, and I’m intrigued to see how it all plays out.

Here’s a quick breakdown of my thoughts:

WHAT I LIKED:
• The Spice: The tension between Tate and the protagonist is chef’s kiss — it’s raw, intense, and unapologetically hot. If you’re looking for a steamy read, this will definitely scratch that itch.

• The Emotional Layer: While there’s a lot of heat, the book also explores the emotional complexities of online relationships, how the digital world can blur lines and intensify connections. There’s more going on than just the physical stuff, even if that’s what takes the spotlight.

WHAT I DIDN’T LOVE:
• Carter: Honestly, Carter got a bit annoying. While he’s sweet and well-intentioned, he felt like a bit too much at times, and I wasn’t as invested in his relationship with the protagonist as I was with the one between her and Tate. He sometimes came off as a bit annoying but if you’re into the whole golden retriever guy then yeah you’d love him.

• Plot Development: While the plot’s there, it takes a backseat to the steamier elements. I’m hoping for more plot and character development in future books — there’s definitely potential for deeper world-building and more twists down the line. Like I know it’s meant to be a mostly smut book but a little plot would be cutesy.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
If you’re into smutty, fast-paced romance with plenty of heat, No Save Point is your next read. It’s spicy, it’s bold, and it’s the kind of book you’ll want to keep reading (and maybe have a fan nearby for). But be warned…it’s not for the faint of heart (I mean it go check the TWs).

Haven, is a competitive rising streamer with a loyal fan base. Carter is her number one fan, while another masked man is her number one enemy in the gaming world. For a whole year between Haven and Carter, they've exchanged texts, chats, donations from Carter to Haven, flirted, and have never met in person. Until they finally set up the big day! Carter is nothing but golden retriever energy. Haven loves everything about this until she meets Tate, Carter's twin brother, who reveals himself as her masked man, who's the complete opposite of his twin and also her number one gaming enemy. What's a girl to do when her two number-one people clash together in the same house as she's in?

🤍🤩ARC REVIEW 🤩🤍
S.L Gray. This is my first book by you and definitely will not be the last. Thank you for choosing me to be one of the lucky early readers.

First, I love the names picked out in this book. Very unique and cute. I love the dynamic of gaming being mixed into the real world because who doesn't wanna meet up with their fan/friend irl? Plus it reminds me of my husband as he loves Call of Duty.

I love the duet and how smoothly everything flows from one chapter to the next. This book is written very well, nothing is repetitive or described the same. This author has a very broad way to explain and draw a reader in. I love the banter and pet names used throughout. Simple but effective. There's room for more development and growth plot-wise for future books and I'm very excited to read more of this trio. I was smiling, laughing, kicking my feet and squealing cause baby this book is..smutty... ah! I loved it. The plot of meeting someone new in person, the dynamic of yearning, trust, wanting, needing something so bad you don't care if it's not traditional in a sense. If you love the "why choose" trope. Read it. If you love a hot read and the idea of sharing, read it. If you don't care for taboos everything is ok in the fiction world. Read. This. Book.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This review is also based on an early version of the book, I have been made aware that the author has made some changes before the release, so if things have changed, please ignore my review.

I wanna start by saying there are many things I really liked about this book. The first was the spice, and the tension (especially between Haven and Tate) was great. It was intense. There was also an emotional aspect to it. It really showed how complex online relationships can be and how lines can blur.

However, there were a few things that kept me from loving it. First, there are 3 main characters in this book, but we only get 2 P.O.Vs (Haven and Carter). It didn't make much sense to me. I feel like if you are going to write a why choose romance then you need to write the point of views of everybody involved. It really made me feel there was a lot missing from this book, especially since Tate was very closed off.

There's also little to no backstory on Carter and Tate. We can see some animosity between them, but we never really find out why.

Carter, while I understand he is supposed to come off as sweet and charming, there were times it got a bit too much. I didn't get that invested in him, to be honest.

Tate, again, it was very hard to get a read on him since we never get it his P.OV. however, he was definitely the bad boy. I was getting frustrated with him, though, because he seemed to keep antagonising Carter and we never find out why.

Haven, I liked her a lot. She was funny and quirky, and I liked how she always had a comeback.

There were also a few inconsistencies. For example, one minute, they are in the bedroom, but then all of a sudden, on the couch. Or Tate would walk in, make a snide remark, leave, and then come back in again.

Tate, whose POV is MIA, is Haven’s enemy… and as he’s determined to sabotage his twin brother, he finds himself falling for Haven himself. The only issue? Neither his brother nor him want to share.
Will Haven get her happily ever after? Will she have to choose between innocent cinnamon roll Carter & devilishly gray Tate? Or will she get the best of both worlds?

Thoughts: Okay that dedication definitely called me out. 😂 No Save Point is an enjoyable read for anyone looking for a super spicy novel featuring both a red flag and a golden retriever!
I truly loved the personalities of both of the brothers, and wished I could have spent more time in this world learning more about them.
I could easily see myself rereading this in the future.

I am grateful that I was able to receive an early arc of this book from the author, S.L Gray. My review is based on the early version of the book. S.L Gray has made edits after receiving feedback, so the final version of the book may not be consistent with this review.

Tropes:
-Sharing between twins
-Virgin/Inexperienced main character
-Small town
-A little enemies to lovers
-Sweet Twin vs Black Cat Twin
-Teasing

Likes:
-Carter's character, he is so sweet and attentive to Haven the fmc
-Short, manageable chapters
-The cover is so cute, I love the design

My Dislikes: SPOILERS
-In the beginning Haven meets up with Carter, but then he drops her at her AirBNB just to pick her up later. I didn't understand this because they were supposed to be spending time together to better know each other.
-Some scenes felt drawn out too long
-Banter was hit or miss, but when it hit, it was funny
-Haven is supposed to hate Tate, but accepts him so easily
-A lot of reassurance is needed for Carter and it's almost too much sometimes
-The arguments between the twin brothers seem obnoxious to me and repetitive
-There is a scene where Haven is asleep and they do stuff to her without prior consent

Neutrals:
-Short timeline, everything happens in a weekend
-Surface level, no character development
-Not a lot of plot
-Side characters felt thrown in as after thoughts,. they weren't a big part of the story

For me personally I felt like it was a difficult read to get through, but I know a lot of people enjoy these types of stories. This book is set to be a duet, so there is room for growth. If you like gamer romances, twins that reluctantly share and the listed tropes above then this book may be for you.

I am so sad because I wanted to love this book, I truly did, but ultimately it fell so flat for me 😭.

When I first looked at the synopsis I was hooked… it had me thinking this was gonna be a top tier read for me… but after reading this I just felt so disappointed 😔. I didn’t connect to the characters in the way I thought I would, there really was no plot, and everything else felt rushed. If there’s one thing about me, I am wholeheartedly a character driven reader… meaning that I need to connect to the characters to ultimately love the story and it just didn’t happen that way for me. Prior to reading this, I thought we were going to get a cool backstory for how the characters met and interacted online on the gaming platform - building up their relationship before one of the MMCs asked our FMC to meet up… but we didn’t get that (which made me sad because I looooove a good backstory). I also wanted to see more tension, angst, banter, and a whole lot more plot than what we got, so overall this book left a lot to be desired. I felt like the spice came on too soon (at like 20% of the way into the book) and I do love spice but I also love a good slow burn and I think that a slow burn would’ve been perfect for this scenario (but oh well, what do I know 🤷🏼‍♀️).

That being said, this was by no means a bad book. I liked S.L. Gray’s writing style and felt that it was clear and accessible and I was able to read the book pretty quickly… I just wish we had more 🫠. I will read book 2 because I want to see where it goes from here (although the way book 1 read, it could’ve been a standalone so we’ll see what we think when book 2 gets released) but I don’t know what to think about it 🤷🏼‍♀️😅.

3.5/5 ⭐️

My First ARC read and oh I feel very attached to this book. I was at the edge of my seat to have the twins together.

** SPOILERS**

The Plot built quite nicely but it might be just me but I did not enjoy Carter. He was intense emotionally for being so inexperienced. Haven was certainly a ball of nerves but I was rooting for Tate the whole time. While he is a jerk his confidence really drove the whole interaction between Carter and Haven along.

Haven and Tate are more sort of the enemies to lovers vibe while he is the black cat and Carter is the Golden Retriever.

The story moved quickly though, I read it in one sitting.

While they certainly got their smutty moments for a romance I am certainly team Tate. He and Haven have the most in common and actually share common interests where Carter jumps onto the band wagon of gaming for Haven. While Carter watched from the Chat it did make me ask the logical question how was he affording sending Haven donations while watching her game and a whole brand whole gaming set up.

I can not wait for book 2 and hope that its Tates turn to shine. Just saying if Haven wanted to really mess with Tates gaming streak being under his desk during a match would do the trick! But a girl can wish right? ;)

I would love to hear how they connected in the first place and if Carter is not a gamer how did he get into her Stream so intently that they started chatting on the side.
