Beg For Me

Rate this book
It was supposed to be a fling. A beautiful mistake I’d make only once.
Fate had other plans for us.

Sophia
Carter McCord is everything I shouldn’t want. Fifteen years younger, he’s too cocky, too good-looking, and a playboy notorious for leaving broken hearts and wreckage in his wake.

To make matters worse, he’s my competition. As an executive at my company’s top rival, the young hotshot is strictly off limits both professionally and personally. I’ve got a career to protect and a teenage daughter to raise. The last thing I need is the kind of man who makes women beg.

But Carter isn’t interested in keeping it casual. The way he touches me, the way he needs me—it’s more than sex. It’s obsession.

Carter
I don’t care that she’s older. I don’t care that she’s a business rival. I don’t care what my family thinks or what people will say or that her ex wants to see me dead.

Sophia Bianco is everything I’ve ever wanted, and I’m gonna make her mine.

Even if she makes me beg for it.

RATING 3.5

‟𝙸𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚜𝚞𝚙𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚋𝚎 𝚊 𝚏𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐. 𝙰 𝚋𝚎𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚒𝚏𝚞𝚕 𝚖𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝙸’𝚍 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚘𝚗𝚕𝚢 𝚘𝚗𝚌𝚎. 𝙵𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚑𝚊𝚍 𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚜 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚞𝚜.”

I couldn’t wait for their story, so when this crashed onto my iPad I dived right in and read it front to back in record speed.

There were parts which I loved, especially when it came to Sophia's mother, and then there were parts where I cringed. Each to their own but he was like a Labrador puppy begging to be petted, ‘good boy’ seemed to be his undoing, he was so much tamer, softer than his brothers, so when it came to his character I kind of struggled.

Carter came across so much younger than his years, but he did have some endearing qualities. He wore his emotions on his sleeve and his vulnerability shone through. A childhood trauma had left its mark on him which with the help of therapy he was working through it.

I loved our heroine Sophia, juggling so much with life, her teenage daughter, a manipulative hilarious mother, an ex husband, and then throw in the much younger man seeking her attention she held it together pretty well considering.

This seemed to focus more on Sophia's journey than anything else which left a big gap in their story..

Carter could have anyone he wanted, and he's had a fair share of them too, but once he set his sights on Sophie this playboy was ready to settle down. She's his end game, he just has to convince her to take a chance on him..

Even though I didn't enjoy this like I have previous books by this author, I love her writing style so it's definitely not going to be the last book I read of hers..

3.75 stars: if Carter had a tail

It’d be wagging nonstop whenever he’s around Sophia 🤣. Golden retriever at its finest 👀 and one who’s been obsessed (as he should 💅 ) for a while now 👀.

To the point that he moved to be closer to her 👀 in hopes that he would “accidentally” run into her 🤣.

Yup. I need this type of energy in my books 👏👏👏.

Sophia (44) is COO of Tricast and Carter (29) is COO of McCord Media- which means, they’re in direct competition of each other 👀, but that doesn’t matter to Carter, because for the last year, he’s been obsessing over Sophia and moving pieces behind the scene in order to get close to her 😅. And when they “coincidentally” (🤣) see each other at the local coffee shop, he asks her out on a date 👀, and she says yes 👀.

She realizes that there could never be anything serious with him since Carter is 15 years younger and she’s a divorced, single mom of a 14 year old, but he feels differently 👀. In fact, he’s quick to tell her that she’s gonna be his wife 😅.

I guess Sophia better buckle up, cause Carter isn’t gonna let her escape 😅.

What I liked/loved: possible spoilers
—how devoted Carter was to Sophia 👀. This man epitomizes obsession 😮‍💨. If Sophia said jump, Carter would just do it, never mind asking how high 😅. She clicks her fingers and he’s there 🫠

—the tension 🫠 it made my tummy flutter 🔥

—Carter’s obsession with her taste 🫠. This man has no qualms about going down on his knees 😮‍💨 as long as Sophia is happy 😉💦, he’s happy 😉🔥

—the lengths he goes to 👀. Sure. It isn’t every day that a man buys a building in order to ensure his and his woman’s privacy or he buys out the tabloid that took pictures of them, but yet here we are 🤣

—begging kink? I don’t know if it’s a kink, but it definitely felt like one here 😉 not only does Carter beg, but Sophia does too 👀

—reverse praise kink 👀. Good boy? Yes please 😉🔥

What I didn’t love/hated:
—so, one of Sophia’s biggest insecurities is the fact that she’s 15 years older AND not as fit/small/young as all the girls Carter has been seen with. So when she brings up his playboy reputation, he kind of just brushes it under the rug 😑. Like, Carter has been pictured with tons of young blonde girls, so what does this mean? He doesn’t address this to MY satisfaction 🤷‍♀️. You know what would’ve been cool here? If maybe he had told her that what was publicized wasn’t true, that maybe he ISN’T a playboy 🤷‍♀️and that he hasn’t been with anyone in a LOOOOONG time because, of COURSE, she hasn’t been with anyone since her divorce 🙄 which happened years ago 🙄. Yes, she’s gone on dates, but it seems like nothing else happened with any of these guys 😒. Now with Carter? What’s been happening with him? I think he’s been celibate ever since he became obsessed with her in the last year/few months, but I wish we had clarity on this 🤷‍♀️, especially when he’s been seen with other women in the last year 😐. It made it hard for me to rate this higher because of this 😒.
^^i needed to know that he hasn’t been a playboy for a whiiiiile 😑😑😑

—the scene with the three girls 😒 and Sophia texting Carter FIRST 😑. I’m sorry? Sophia. You have a right to be upset 🤷‍♀️ I mean. You could SEE one of the girl’s nipples through the shirt she was wearing to “work out with Carter” to the point where you can tell us the color 😵‍💫
^^this is EXACTLY why you didn’t wanna date Carter right? He should’ve been the one texting you and begging you 🤷‍♀️. Yes. Carter has been clear, from the get go, that he’s obsessed and all about Sophia, and yes, he quickly tells her that they’re just friends, but that doesn’t mean she can’t be jealousy or feel like shit when these girls appear at his place 😒. I wish we had gotten better resolution with this 😐. What ever happened with these girls? I hope he cut them out of his life 🫣

—loose ends 😅. Where’s Sophia’s brother?? Where are these girls ^^ aren’t they “friends” 🙄🙄🙄. Sigh. The girls just annoyed me 🤣🤣😐

—typos 😅. I don’t think I’ve ever caught any in previous books, but in this case, I caught a few.

Overall, I still really enjoyed this book, but I wish we had clarify on the stuff I didn’t like

Beg For Me is book three in the Morally Gray series by J.T. Geissinger. We finally get to meet the youngest of the three McCord brothers, Carter. This man has a heart as big as Texas. And he wears it on his sleeve. But he is also a McCord, and has the same obsessive tendencies as his two older brothers.

Sophia is forty four years old, is divorced, and is a single mom to her fourteen year old daughter, Harlow. I loved the relationship between Sophie and Harlow. She is an amazing mom. She has worked hard and is now the COO at TriCast.

Carter McCord is twenty nine years old. He is also a COO of his family’s company, McCord Media, which is known to be the largest media corporation in the world. Also, TriCast’s rivals.

These two have met once before but what Sophia doesn’t know is that Carter pretty much fell for her at first sight. He has just been waiting for his moment.

“I don’t recall ever being this physically attracted to someone. It’s like some mad scientist cooked up a batch of supercharged sex pheromones and dumped them both over our heads.”

Sophia has trust issues, much deserved. But Carter isn’t giving up. He’ll go as slow or fast as he needs to, to make her his. And when they’re together, they awaken things in themselves that neither knew existed! You can’t help but to fall in love with Carter from the start. This man with the self confidence that seems to go on for days, has the sweetest heart. He has darkness in his past that broke my heart. The way he was with Sophia was amazing.

Sophia gave in to what was supposed to be one date. And she wasn’t even calling it a date. But she couldn’t resist Carter. She had never been treated with such respect and adoration. They are both COO’s of rival companies, though, and she has a daughter. Add in that he is fifteen years younger than she is, should close the door. But it doesn’t. Just when she is giving in, though, and when she thinks true happiness might be within her grasp, her life literally implodes. In so many ways. She’s got it coming at her from every direction.

When I was reading the first part of this book, I thought, oh, this is quite different from the others. This one is much more laid back. And then, boom, everything went crazy! I loved these two and at the same time, they both broke my heart at all they had been through. Sophia is such a strong woman. I also need to add that towards the end, Callum from book one is involved. I love that guy!!! That made everything even better, getting to see more of him.

This was sweet, steamy, swoony and also made my heart beat double time with all that was going on. It’s the final McCord brother so I’m thinking it’s the end of this amazing series. I loved this book and hope if you haven’t met the McCord Brothers yet, this will help you to decide to jump in!

Oh Lordy! It's been far too long since I've had a fresh JT Geissinger to devour. Beg For Me delivered in more ways than one. It was a wild ride, like she does best, and I was riveted (mostly) the whole way through! I thought this romance had a unique way of taking all the things I love about this author's style, and mashed them up in some new ways.

Here are some things you can look forward to:
Older Woman (44 h/28 H)
Single Mom (of a teen)
Rival Businesses
Obsessed Hero
Black Cat/Golden Retriever
Kinky with a bent towards the heroine being in charge ;)
Role play
Hero in Therapy

These are just a few of the goodies in this romance. But they were more than enough for me to be engaged in it.

As always with JTG, the hero (Carter) falls first and he falls HARD. He falls hard before the heroine is even truly aware of him. He is eager and precious in the best way. The heroine (Sophia) is pretty overwhelmed by his adoration but she also deserves some fun. She has no idea that Carter's idea of fun is locking this relationship down as soon as he can.

I truly just enjoyed their dynamic so much. There were scenes where she's in charge and the "good boys" came out. And there were also times where Carter took charge and gave her everything she wanted. I loved that so much. They were just so good together.

I also appreciated the mental health rep for Carter. He has some trauma and anxiety due to an incident in his childhood. This has led him to be insecure and needy. That may not work for everyone, but I found it made sense and had a good balance with the confident heroine and how she built him up. Carter and Sophie did that for one another actually.

Of course, JTG also brings the heat and there was some particularly memorable scenes in this one. Including one dream sequence that may live rent free for a long time.

Overall, this is actually my favorite entry to this series. I loved this couple and I have a soft spot for Carter especially. I can't wait to reread this via audio when it inevitable releases.

4.5 Stars
3.5 on the spice scale

I absolutely adored Carter! He is the very definition of adorable, smexy, and completely irresistible. He’s got that golden retriever charm; fun, playful, and full of swagger. But don’t be fooled because when it counts, he knows exactly how to take control. He’s not your typical alpha, and that made the dynamic between him and Sophia feel all the more fresh and new.

Their first interactions had me grinning like crazy. Light, flirty, and so unique because of how easygoing and open Carter was. The age gap just added to the appeal, with Sophia trying to keep things in check while he’s already all in. There’s a quiet intensity to his connection with her that builds beautifully as the story unfolds.

The steam in this one is no joke. Uninhibited and intense, it was woven in naturally from the start. It’s not drawn out or teased. When these two come together, it’s raw, electric, and absolutely scorching.

4th DNF of the month 😅

read up to the 68% mark, but wanted to DNF first at the 32% mark

very grateful for the arc from valentine pr 💓 I’ve never met a JT Geissinger book I didn’t like… until this one

among the fact that it felt like there was little to no plot, I also got the ick multiple times from our mmc who is so golden retriever, it is nauseating. JT had to keep reminding readers he was “smart” because his dialogue and actions were so childish and airheaded

I did enjoy their initial interactions, but things got weird fast. I also felt like the daughter and ex husband plot line was about to take precedent over the romance, which I didn’t care about.

Ugh this has not been my month 🥲

Sophia Bianca is a middle-aged mom navigating a male-dominated career, an ex-husband who won’t really go away, and an aging mother who thrives on criticism and chaos.

When she bumps into Carter McCord and he asks her out, she feels compelled to decline, but a moment of whimsy has her agreeing.

Cater… Dear, sweet, broken Carter. Loved him and the non-traditional dynamic he and Sophia shared. His vulnerability and certainty made him endearing and swoon worthy!

That says, one of the things I enjoyed most about the other books in the series was seeing the McCord brothers’ crazy firsthand. We are given brief snippets and it’s alluded to, but we don’t really witness the over-the-top obsessive behavior that I thought we would see in Carter as well.

That’s not to say I didn’t love it, because I did. I just really like experiencing the actions of an obsessed, alpha. Also, it was fun to see the rest of them McCord family again before closing out the series.

Не найкраща книга у авторки, але й не найгірша.

Тропи:
- різниця у віці (жінка старша);
- він закохується першим і сильніше;
- мільйонер;
- таємна закоханість;
- він одержимий нею;
- чгг золотистий ретривер;
- сильна і незалежна жгг;
- fust burn

I wasn’t totally sure how to rate this book. I loved the characters and everything about Carter and Sophia, but the plot was pretty minimal, so the story didn’t hit quite as hard for me. that said, their relationship absolutely carried the book.

Carter was endlessly sweet and completely devoted to Sophia. he worshipped her in a way that felt different from the usual JTG male leads. don’t get me wrong, he was still an alpha, still incredibly possessive and very much in control… but there was a softness to him that made him one of the gentlest MMCs she’s written.

Sophia was a total boss. she didn't just exist in a man’s world; she dominated it. watching her stand up to her sleazy boss, shut Konrad down, and give Callum a well-deserved reality check was everything. and her banter with her mom? actually had me laughing out loud 😂

I liked them both individually, but I loved them together. their chemistry was felt from page one. the banter was fun and sexy. if you're into obsessive heroes and strong, badass female leads, this is definitely one to check out.

tropes;
reverse age gap (she's 15 years his senior)
business rivals
he falls first (more like obsessed)
golden retriever mmc
single mom
praise k!nk

DNF @ 20% (but I did skim read the last 30%)

First 20% - I was loving the the older MFC/younger MMC pairing dynamic, where he’s a feral golden retriever who likes being called “good boy” and she’s reluctant to date again after a shitty ex-husband, but then it got too... dialogue heavy? And the characters were a bit too caricature? I like flirty banter, but I also wanted more plot that far into a 412 page book.

The last 30% was pretty unhinged though. In the right mood I probably would have found it very entertaining.

You know that part of the story where the hero sweeps in to save the day, the heroine swoons into his arms, and they ride off into the sunset? Beg for Me takes that entire fantasy, turns it on its head, and makes you forget any other love story even exists. This is how all love stories should be: the hero worships the ground the heroine walks on, while the heroine saves herself—and even finds the strength to rescue another damsel in distress who reminds her a little too much of herself at 22.

This isn’t your standard billionaire romance. This is a raw, fiercely emotional, deliciously sexy story that refuses to play by anyone’s rules but its own. JT Geissinger knows exactly what you expect from an age-gap billionaire romance and then just wrecks you with the layers she piles on top. Because this is not a story about being saved. It’s about what happens when you refuse to be small ever again. It’s about a woman who claws her way out of a bad marriage with her dignity intact, raises a teenage daughter who is her equal in wit and insight, and then has the nerve—the audacity—to fall in love on her own terms.

Sophia Bianco is everything I want in a romance heroine. She’s older than Carter (finally, an age gap with an older female lead!), a wildly competent corporate exec, a single mom, and so strong it sometimes hurts to watch her keep holding it all together. She’s no ingénue. She’s been through the wringer: emotional abuse, a manipulative ex, the relentless grind of single motherhood, and she has exactly zero interest in letting another man tell her what to do. And yet there’s Carter.

Carter McCord is the billionaire with the carefully cultivated charm, the self-deprecating humor, and the heavy trauma that’s written in every line of his body. He’s also, refreshingly, a hero who worships Sophia Bianco. Not in some cheesy, superficial way, but with his whole battered heart. He adores her strength, respects her mind, and even when he does the stupid noble martyr thing (and let’s be real—he does), you get why. He wants to protect her because he thinks she’s too precious for the kind of darkness that lives in his world. But Sophia? She doesn’t need a man to fight her battles. She just wants one who won’t leave her side while she fights them.

And the banter. God, the banter. This is signature JT Geissinger at her best. Snarky, sexy, sharp enough to cut glass. Every conversation crackles. Every argument feels like foreplay. These two talk like adults—funny, messy, infuriating adults who know exactly how to push each other’s buttons and then soothe the burn. The age-gap dynamic is brilliant here, too: not just a cheap thrill but a real source of tension and honesty. Sophia’s the older one, the single mom, the woman with a past she refuses to hide. And Carter is so gone for her he doesn’t even pretend otherwise.

One of the things that sets Beg for Me apart is how it refuses to gloss over the uglier realities. This book doesn’t just mention spousal abuse as backstory—it shows you how insidious that manipulation is, how it isolates women, cuts off their options, makes them complicit in their own silencing. Sophia Bianco’s ex isn’t cartoonishly evil, he’s believably, horrifically controlling in that chillingly realistic way that will hit too close to home for many readers.

But JT Geissinger doesn’t stop at depicting the damage. She shows us what healing looks like. She shows a woman who refuses to let that past define her, who will burn her career to the ground before she compromises her ethics. Who will offer a begrudging, exasperated hand to another woman trapped in the same nightmare she survived. Because Sophia knows. She’s been there. She can’t stand by and watch anyone else go through it alone.

There’s also a found family vibe that just kills me in the best way. Carter’s family is this perfectly messed-up, loyal, ridiculous clan that protects its own with the kind of ruthless devotion Sophia Bianco’s never known before. Watching them come to accept her as one of theirs is so rewarding, especially when it’s clear she doesn’t want to need them, doesn’t want to depend on anyone, but lets herself anyway. Because love isn’t just about romantic declarations in the rain—it’s about letting people in when you’d rather stay safe behind your walls.

And Carter. Oh, Carter. This man is a hot mess of guilt, trauma, and absolutely lethal devotion. He does the noble idiot thing (and you will want to smack him for it), but even when he’s trying to push her away, you see the love shining through every line. He’s not perfect. He’s so imperfect. He’s messy and traumatized and self-sacrificing to a fault. But he’s also funny, tender, soaked in worship for Sophia Bianco, and willing to fight for her even if it means learning to fight with her, not for her. Carter is my Book Boyfriend of the Summer™️.

And the writing? Expect JT Geissinger’s signature moves: explosive twists you don’t see coming, moments that punch you in the gut, scenes so funny you choke on your coffee, and sex so hot it’s practically a religious experience. She knows how to balance darkness and levity like no one else. She gives you ethical dilemmas, real trauma, laugh-out-loud banter, and a HEA that feels earned.

This isn’t a book about a man saving a woman. It’s a book about a woman who saves herself, and a man who’s smart enough to worship her for it. It’s about choosing to love when it’s hard, about standing side by side when everything’s falling apart, about refusing to abandon the people who need you.

Beg for Me is everything I want in a romance: sexy, emotional, fiercely feminist, gut-wrenchingly real, and ultimately healing. It made me laugh. It made me rage. It made me tear up in the middle of the night because these characters felt true.

Five million stars. Four-alarm spice. This is how you write an age-gap billionaire romance.

I've never been bored reading a book by Geissinger before; that is until now.

The way she writes dialogue and banter is usually top notch, but this time it was TOO much dialogue and it was WAY over the top.

I'm 33% in, and thinking of DNF'ing it.

I REALLY dislike that the FMC calls him good boy and sweet boy ALL the time. She is very bossy in the bedroom, almost to the point of being a Dom, and I'm not about that.
Here are some quotes:
"She coos, “So perfect. My perfect, beautiful boy. You did so well, Carter. I’m very pleased with you.”"
"“So good,” I whisper breathlessly. “You’re such a good boy, Carter.”"

I'll give it another 10%. Hopefully it gets better.

37% -
Okay, now he keeps calling her "ladyship" and other antiquated royal titles, and it's so bad. I rarely use the word cringe, but it fits for this chapter. It's been going on now for several pages.

Completed -

There was something amiss about the FMC; while yes, she was older than the MMC, she had too much of a motherly vibe when she was with Carter. For example: "He quirks his lips and gazes at me with a dangerous glint in his eyes. “Are you babying me?”" "Gazing in the direction of Nick’s voice, Carter says, “Is that the fuckwit ex?” “Yes. Please stay here and eat your breakfast. I’ll be right back.”" "“Sure, because what today needs is a blood bath in my living room. You’re going to stay right here and behave yourself.”"

This felt more like Sophia's book than a relationship book.
This was just so disappointing. I LOVE a good reverse age gap book, but when it starts to go down the "mommy" route and/or the "good boy" realm, I just feel icky about the whole thing.

The first 40% of the book was boring. We just read about the two of them going on dates, and they weren't even good dates.
By the end of the book, we don't know anything about Carter except that he is a himbo that was once kidnapped. While I will remember this book, Carter is forgettable.
Honestly, I got the impression that the author didn't really want to write this story and she lost the plot somewhere along the way.

J.T Geissinger returns with a highly anticipated sequel that tells a powerful story of new beginnings, personal growth, and finding love again featuring two incredibly endearing characters. Beg For Me is Carter McCord's book and I have to be honest and say that this book surprised me. I never saw Sophia coming and she was the perfect woman and complement to Carter's vulnerability and sunshine personality. Unlike his brothers Callum and Cole, Carter wasn't broody and moody—he smiled often, made jokes, and was super sweet and romantic in general. He was such a green flag and golden retriever of a man—I simply loved his honesty, obsession, and neediness when it came to Sophia. Their love scenes were super steamy but also interesting as well since Sophia was older than Carter. They had an equal but also not power dynamic. At times, Sophia was in control but then Carter would switch it up and take the reins instead. It certainly made for some exhilarating scenes between the two.

“You’re everything I didn’t know I needed. I won’t doubt you again. So please be careful with me, Carter, because I’m giving you my heart. I’m trusting you not to break it.”

In the end, this was an excellent sequel to the Morally Gray series. I loved seeing Callum again and his interactions with Sophia were hilarious. Sophia's mother was another amazing character who made me laugh out loud because of her outrageous antics and behavior, especially when interacting with her daughter and granddaughter. Carter's past broke my heart and I loved that Sophia was not only there for him when he told her but she understood and accepted all of him. Even though Carter was broken, he was made whole by his love for Sophia and the same can be said for her as well because of her past relationship with her horrible ex-husband. There's no denying that Sophia and Carter had undeniable chemistry and I especially loved how they communicated with with each other—it was fun, flirty, honest, but also emotional as well. I highly recommend this series and fans of J.T. Geissinger will absolutely enjoy and be surprised by this reverse age gap romance.

DNF @25%

I really don’t like the hero. He is described with the enthusiasm and flightiness of a puppy. Multiple times the heroine referred to him as “my sweet boy” and that really just gave me chills. I couldn’t take it from there. I’m sure that this story is good for some but just not for me.

This is the story of Carter and Sophia. Sophia is a divorced single mother who is 44 years old and Carter is a billionaire playboy who is 29. It is implied that Carter is obsessed with her, has stalked her and followed her and that all he wants is her attention and affection. Sophia has some very understandable concerns about a relationship between them and that is about as far as I got.

Honestly, I might just skip ahead and see how her dickhead ex reacts because that I would like to see. Otherwise, this book wasn’t for me. In addition to actually being significantly younger than Sophia, Carter behaves in a manner much younger than someone who is 29. He seems ruled by his impulses and almost toddler-like in his emotions. I can’t get the mental image of him wagging his tail out of my head with almost every scene. It is disconcerting to say the least.

Overall, the writing isn’t bad. The characters are just not what I prefer in my romance. If this sounds like a book you want to read, just know that you will also have to really suspend disbelief because it is definitely typical JT Geissinger in which everything is totally over the top.

4 'Be careful with me' Stars!
ARC provided via Valentine PR in exchange for an honest review.

J.T. Geissinger is back, and she comes with the third (and final?) steamy installment in her Morally Gray series called Beg For Me. This one is all about the youngest McCord brother Carter and the woman he has been obsessed with ever since he met her. The thing is: Sophia Bianco is working for McCord’s business rival, she is a recent divorcee, and she is fifteen years older than Carter. But he doesn’t care at all about that, he is decided to be involved in Sophia’s life, and he will fight to become the man she needs.

“Age means nothing to desire. The heart wants what it wants.”

I mean, who doesn’t love a romance hero that wants to give his all to the heroine? A man that is broken who keeps working on himself and just needs to find that person that will love him and fight for him? And a heroine that does not take sh*t from anyone anymore and who only wants to protect her daughter and finally have someone special by her side? Even though there is quite an age-gap on this one, it’s clear that Carter and Sophia are made for each other.

“There isn’t a single person in the world who could pry me away from you side.”

I do have to say though, while I still enjoyed the heck out of it, this book was the weakest in the series for me. Sometimes things just happened too fast for me. But, as always, as it happens with Geissinger’s writing and character development, the chemistry between this couple is OFF THE CHARTS. They complement each other well and I am just happy they finally found their HEA together after many obstacles on their way. So, I am rating Beg For Me with 4 STARS. Now, I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next!

Coming off a loooooooooong dnf streak, July finally came around and beg for me was heeeeeerrrrreeeeeee! I love jt geissinger for her humor, dialogues, character building, and smexxx scenes….but this book was a solid 3.79 star for me so I rounded up.

I should have done my review a bit sooner after I finished because the details are a bit hazy now 🥹🥹🥴

She is the COO of a company and he is the rival COO of his family’s company. She’s 44 (I’m 27 but have been rumored to be the same age) and he’s 29. So 15 year age difference isn’t too bad 😂 cuz it could have been bill Belichick style of 73 woman with a 24 year old man 😂😂😂🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🤪🤪🤪🤪😒

What I liked:
-Carter was a gd puppy dog. How do I know? I have a 4 Maltese/bichon frise month old puppy right now. They both work for little puny amounts of treats, back scratches and follows their girl everywhere they go. I.e. Carter buys a place near h to accidentally “run” into her at her favorite coffee shop and in the neighborhood. My dog just follows me to the bathroom to watch me poop but I signed up for this life 😂😂🤣😂🥹 I call him my sweet boy or good boy too 🫣🫣🫣🫣😳 see? Like a puppy. He has callum and family (book 1) with unlimited money and resources to do whatever they want to do. Me like dat 😈😈😈😈😈
- Carter doesn’t give two shits about her age, her ex husband or that she has a 14 year old daughter
- love how obsessed he is and how he knows she’s his end game. All these blonde girl FRIENDS that he has is nothing compared to his Sophia 😳😳
- why was it so hot when he loves praise from Sophia 🤔🤔🥴🥴🥹

What I didn’t like:
- ok! Ya know……….i don’t want to be reminded that I’m fucking old by this authors standards with the talk of perimenopause and hot flashes and mood swings and shit! I’m in this for the fantasy okur!? 😂😂😂🤪🤪🫣🙄🙄 the constant age gap that was shoved in your face was RELENTLESS. When she’s with her friends and they’re going on and on about doing Botox and she’s too scared of needles to get anything done it’s like….thats not really the norm is it? I’ve never had shit done either because I don’t need it! Not that I care if people do it but…..I dunno…..I don’t wanna get into it but it rubbed me the wrong way. This book just constantly told me that I’m too old, I should never date someone younger (not that I would since I am happily married to the loml)and that Scene where her mom is telling her point blank how reality really will be was too real. 😂😂😂🫤 I’m sure Sophia will be mistaken by others as his mom🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤨 ugh.
- It kinda felt like she was mommying Carter a lot? Calling him a good boy, the role playing where she tells him what to do and calling him sweet boy…..it was a bit cringe 😬
- multiple scenes where he’s hanging out with blonde Girl FRIENDS. Does he not know of the truth that men and women usually cannot be friends? 😂🤨🤨🤨 he’s always making plans with them and one scene where he forgets he planned a bike ride with THREE girls and just him was awful. She gets jealous and they say some awful things about each other had me cringing. Then she calls him first? He never reassures her that they’re just friends and never explains their relationship. And if Sophia is uncomfortable with all these women, why wouldn’t you do your best to ease her mind?
- the constant ex husband stuff and the ex husbands pregnant ex girlfriend stuff 🤪🤪🙄

The ending was interesting where the hr person blackmails Sophia and then Carter breaks up with Sophia to help her keep her job but he plans on pining for her for the rest of his life. 😒😒🙄 so silly. But callum comes in like expensive Superman and invites her to book 2 Cole’s wedding to reunite them. And then they fuck again in the hotel room.

So…….yeah. Loved how obsessed he was but some of this other bullsheet rubbed me the wrong way. But the banter, callum, and obsession kept me going 😂

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Type: Standalone book 3 of Morally Grey series
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:
4.25 Stars

Sophie Bianco had enough on her plate being a single mother to a teenage daughter and a high-powered career. Being pursued by Carter McCord gave her a new high, but neither was prepared for the consequences of their relationship.

Sophie was definitely a standout in this book. She had compassion without letting others walk all over her. She had strength yet with warmth. I liked Carter, but I felt his character wasn’t given enough room to shine on his own.

I enjoyed the overall story, especially with a certain dynamic in play. The supporting characters, particularly Carmelina, provided comic relief.

Beg for Me is a story of getting what one’s heart wants. It would appeal to readers who enjoy reverse age-gap romance.

This is the third book in the Morally Gray Series and oh my!! I’ve missed the McCord Men so much, completely unhinged and all the red flags waving.

Sophia is a complete badass! She takes what she wants and is just absolutely amazing!! I love her relationship with Harlow! She is such an amazing mother!

Carter is hilarious!! He is such a lovable man but he is a fighter, dirty talker and you just want to give him a big hug. I love that Carter supports her in everything and knows exactly what she needs.

Did I possibly read a chapter multiple times because it was that good? Yes I most certainly did!!

Thank you VPR and JT for the ARC! I highly recommend!

Another witty and humorous book by JTG. For a 400 page book, it seemed to end too quickly. A lot of unanswered questions; want to know about Thirteen, where would I find the continuation of that story? J.T.G’s writing is terrific, and so is her stories.

I’ve been trying to get through this book but I ended up having to DNF at 40%. Unfortunately this fell flat for me. It is a reverse age gap, which I love, but the mmc acts like he is 14. It’s tough. And I feel like nothing has actually happened in the story other than them going on dates and even those aren’t really exciting.

I’m sure this book gets better and people will love it but unfortunately it was just not for me.

Story 4 stars. Narration 5 stars
This is the third and last book in the author’s Morally Gray series. Featuring three millionaire(billionaire?)brothers as they meet their significant other, it’s well written as usual by this author. It was a good story-older woman, much younger man. It’s pretty much erotica, but has good characters that I liked even though erotica isn’t my usual go to. The author has been one of my favorite authors for about 12 years or more from back when she wrote her paranormal series which is still in my top 15 if not 10 favorite series. I’ve been a loyal reader ever since and will absolutely continue to read her even if she wrote the phone book.

ATE DOWN (in more ways than one)!

This book is exactly what we’ve come to expect from a JTG read but inverted. This reverse age gap explored the dynamics of a MF relationship when “traditional” gender roles are fluid or reversed and your girl was here for every moment.
