Enzo
I despise vampires. They're bloodthirsty, manipulative, and violent creatures. And now, my Alpha has two of them living with us. But that’s alright because we have a plan. To show our Luna the truth about her so-called best friend, we need to expose the vampires as the power-hungry, vile creatures they truly are. There's just one Michaela won’t break.
Michaela
The mistakes of my past are finally catching up to me. To keep the ones I love safe, I have no choice but to seek refuge with the one group that hates my the wolf shifters. They’ve done everything they can to get my sister and me to slip up or run, but I can’t. You see, I have a secret—one that could destroy the world. And I will protect it at all costs.

With enemies closing in on the Dark Wood Pack, Enzo and Michaela must learn to trust each other if they are to save the world. Can they set aside their hatred long enough to do what’s right, or will they let everything burn?

I feel like I've been waiting forever for this book, and it did not disappoint.

It had all the angst, hurt, betrayal, and redemption that Chayton had and a little bit more since Enzo was an even bigger ass😅

I loved Michaela. She was one badass herione. I have zero complaints about her character. This author wrote a super strong independent herione without making her bitchy and catty and I feel like that is rare to find in books.

Enzo..well Enzo was a massive dick😅 but when he finally pulled his head out, he became a pretty damn good mate.

My only complaint would be the inconsistencies with Michaela and Elizabeth's friendship. There were a few things that I was confused about, like how she passed for a 15 year old if she was already like 400 years old😅

I would recommend this for anyone who likes angst and asshole heroes with a little OW drama thrown in.

Enzo had a lot of groveling to do!

Enzo and Michaela are enemies from the moment she and her sister Marley stepped foot on Dark Wood pack land.

First let me say i was team Michaela pretty much from the beginning. She’s a badass with a huge heart and carries a lot of guilt. Enzo like Chayton did in his book, took some time to warm up to. He was a jerk and so was the pack. Michaela is too forgiving sometimes.

Once they go from enemies to lovers things settle in and I warmed up again to the wolves, but I wouldn’t have minded a little less of their bullying and more time with them as a couple.

There are two antagonists in this story. One after Chayton and the pack and Micheala’s ex Marikis. While Markis constantly pops up to remind us he’s coming I wish we got a little more from him before their showdown. The other antagonist I was more satisfied with because we the threat seemed closer and immediate. I do wish we saw how that mansion confrontation went down.

Big highlight of this book is seeing Michaela kick butt! She was impressive! Also I’m so happy she got the one thing she wanted, I knew she wasn’t grasping what the witch actually said.

The ending suggests we’ll be seeing more in this world, but honestly I just want more of these two finally happy and thriving.

worth the wait!

This was well worth the years! My entire day was taken up with this book, just being annoyed that I actually had to spent 8 hrs at work and not be able to fully give in. The characters all have my heart. The writing was so vivid it played like a movie in my head and I have to say… I love a kick butt FMC .. the book is called Enzo but this was all about Michaela Whole time I was reading this I was just kicking my feet in the air. Now I just need to be able to get a physical copy so the beta can join his alpha on my shelf

This was an amazing story!! I loved the banter and additional chemistry between the two main characters. I did have to refresh myself on Liz and Clayton because it had been such a gap of time since I read their story. So and Michaela were a wonderful couple and to watch them work through their problems was exhilarating. Dannng, Michaela did have a tough time and surprisingly I shed a few tears for my girl. You won’t regret reading this story. Especially, since so many books lately have not been the best. It’s good to know that tried, true and trusted authors still are here putting out great material. I wait in anticipation for the next book!

Amazing!!!!

This book was amazing!!! Michaela was my favorite type of heroine a bad a** who can take care of her self and those she loves. Enzo was her perfect match even if they didn’t know it at first. I will admit my heart hurt for Michaela and Marley because of all the prejudice they went through but it was rectified eventually. I really can’t express how much I loved this book!!!

Worth the wait!!

Tiya Rayne’s creativity and talent are limitless when it comes to penning stories! She made me hate these characters just to fall in love with them, which is exactly what happened between the maim characters. This was a true enemies to lovers romance with vampires and wolf shifters, and I LOVED Enzo and Michaela's bond. I can't wait for what's next in store for the series and i don't mind the wait because I know Tiya Rayne will make it worth my while.

Ohhhhh, soo good!!

I love all the books by this author and could not wait for Enzo. Of course this book did not disappoint!! Vampires and shifters in a modern world. Strong FMC who at no time had to make herself small for her partner. She could kicka$$, be a protector, and be stoic. Enzo, made you mad at first and there was some grovel, but these battle scenes are soo good. The action is on point. The character development on point. The smexy times🔥🔥🔥🔥. Get this book!!!

Excellent!!!

Enzo turned out to be just as I needed it would.....phenomenal! Michaela and Enzo are fire!!! Her skills were off the hook! However, the secret that she was keeping now makes a lot of sense, if you read Chayton, you should understand why. Lawwwd, what is going to happen next...cannot wait! Well Done Ms. Rayne!!!!

Loved it! Loved. It.

The FMC was feminine rage personified. I adore a sweet, sensitive, violent, no nonsense, sarcastic FMC.

The MMC was a turd at first (so was Chayton at first; thought he would have learned his lesson in the last book) but he redeems himself, they both do. Ultimately, the MCs felt right for each other, a perfect match.

The drama was interesting and the vampire lore and world building was great. This definitely satisfied my angst itch. 😭🥹

Spice was hot too.

She did it again

Giiiiirrrrl,

I've been waiting on this book. It came at just the right time too! I finished it in a little over a day. At first, I was afraid I wasn't going to connect with the book buy I didn't need to worry. The only things that I was missing is the description of the baby! I want to know what she looks like. I hope we get a book for Marley and Toarak. I'd also love to see some insights into Phaedra's relationship. I'm already read for the next book!

Great writing…BUT

I absolutely love TR books. She was my first love as an author in this genre. Her storytelling, character development, world blding, and sexy scenes are second to none. I normally like everything about the MCs, BU…I was not a fan of these two. In the real life and season that we are living in Enzo & “the pack” was giving very white supremacists/racist vibes, even though it was supposedly about hating vampires. The hate and the sick and twisted things they did to Michaela/FMC and her sister were beyond over the top, hateful and disgusting. Living in times when there are real life situations going on every day that look like this, this was gut and heart wrenching to read. I feel like Michaela put up with way too much, she forgave and accepted Enzo’s disrespect way too well. I hated that she was written to just take what they dishing out and swallow it…and she let that ish slide to many times without enough repercussions. Enzo did not suffer enough for the things he said to that lady and how he treated he. Ion know if it is realistic to forgive someone saying the things they said to her and the way they treated her…esp Enzo

At first I didn't think I would give this one 5 stars b/c there were some things Enzo did that didn't sit right with me. When I finished the book, I sat back and thought about his behavior and overall arc, and changed my mind.

One thing that Tiya Rayne does so beautifully is take a flawed hero or heroine who get on your nerves, and make you root for their success. Many author create a flawed character that is never truly redeemable and try to force the reader to try love them which doesn't work for me. She shows you the reasons why their flaws exist and how they overcome them. That alone pretty much makes you look past who they used to be and love them for who they are now.

I also think I painted a "perfect" picture of Enzo in my head based on Chayton's book and that lead to my initial disappointment. That was 100% a me thing and not a reflection of the storyline, arc, writing, or craft.

Michaela is the type of friend every woman should have in their lives. I loved everything about her. Her journey was beautifully written. As a reader, I felt every emotion she felt and wanted her HEA more than she did. It's impossible not to root for her from the first page to the last. Maybe that's another reason Enzo was upsetting b/c I felt like he wasn't treating my friend right. I'm petty and can hold a grudge for life if you mess with my friends.

If you enjoyed Chayton, you will enjoy Enzo. Plus we get some amazing scenes with Chayton, Elizabeth, and Miko - who is still adorable by the way.

I look forward to Alarick's story. I've been curious about him and his mate from book 1 and after epilogue, I already know it's going to be a good one. I hope we don't have to wait three years though. But I know the author was busy with one of my favorite series, so I wasn't mad about the wait.

Enzo by Tiya Rayne is the second book in her Dark Wood Series. The action closely follows the events at the end of Chayton. Ms. Rayne is a versatile author and moves seamlessly between contemporary romance, romantic suspense/thriller, and paranormal romance. The wait between her book releases can be stressful for her greedy fans, but she NEVER disappoints in the excellence of her storytelling. I must confess that I enjoy the anticipation of reading almost as much as I do actually reading the book 😊….I am still holding Beast I and II on my Kindle! In Enzo, the role of vampires in the paranormal hierarchy is richly detailed with lore and their tainted history with wolf shifters is explained. Running from her former mate, her FAMILY and the vampire council, Michaela seeks sanctuary with Liz and her new husband and his pack. It is safe to say that NO ONE is happy to see a full-blooded vampire in their midst. Michaela is one of the strongest and most interesting MFCs I have ever encountered. There was nothing wishy-washy or weak about her; she could be gentle but also formidable. Her slow burn romance with Enzo proceeded in starts and stutters; they would take two steps forward and about ten back. Enzo had reasons for his distrust of Vampires but at points in time he went too far in his bias, his wolf was more perceptive. Enzo is another awesome paranormal story with great world building from Ms. Rayne ANNNNNDDDD the last scene hints that we might get to visit this world again. Whooohooo! I also want to point out that Anthony Hamilton was mentioned…so judgy Enzo at least had good taste in music😊.

5⭐️

Ms Tiya Rayne, this was overdue and worth the wait because what?? I had no business loving every second of this book, and feeling every emotion like I’m an empath. I was hooked from the first chapter right up until the final sentence!!!

Michaela and Enzo were destined to be together and you could definitely see that. When they argued I knew it was just building up for something greater, and when they finally mated, yhhhh sparks were flying and their spicy sessions were perfection. I also loved to see that they were both protectors and fighters in their own rights, so very powerful.

Throughout the book, the plot just kept building and when everything comes together at the end, your mind will be blown because at no point did I ever think where the fey key was. I was very sad to see this book come to an end because I literally loved reading it so much, but alas at least I can see there’s another book in the Dark Wood Series. Not sure if it’ll be Marley’s book but I’m excited to read more about the characters, especially when I got to see Liz and Chayton from book 1.

Perfection!

Enzo and Michaela gave me chills. I enjoyed book one but I fell in love with book 2. This was a couple that we’re night and day in the beginning, only to become each other’s Yin to their Yang. True enemies to lovers mixed with a slow burn, wrapped together for an emotional love story.

Michaela was fierce and headstrong. She had a past that completely devastated and destroyed her inner self. Raised to be strong and not allowed to show any sort of weakness. When a door to her past opens the only option she has is to leave with her sister. That brings her back to the only true friend that she has ever known interested. Elizabeth. Crossing the line into the dark woods pack she is introduced to Enzo. He will be the powerhouse to bring her down. Unsure of what is taking place between them they fight each other every step out of the way. Pure lust, pure envy, pure honesty, and undeniable love. This is one of my top reads of 2025. I wish I could relive the story over and over again and I promise it’s going to live rent free in my head

Loved It, But

The story had everything I love in a Tiya Rayne book. Real characters, personality clashes, action, romance, and spice. Enzo and Michaela relationship arc was amazing to witness. Enemies to lovers! Even though it worked out in the end, Moira will forever have my side eye. 😂

One thing I will say is that this could use another editing pass. There are many grammatic homophone issues, like heal instead of heel. There's some punctuation errors, like missing quotation marks. There's a few instances where I couldn't tell which character was speaking. There's some formatting that could be better. Like when changing POV in a chapter, the font should look the way it does at the start of one.

Despite this, I read this in a matter of hours it was too good to put down. Excited for whenever the next one comes out! 🖤🤌🏾

WHEW!!

When I first started reading this story, I didn’t know how to feel. At first I felt like Enzo wasn’t a nice guy and I couldn’t figure out how we were going to turn this around to them being true mates. I also liked how Ms Rayne had a little bit of prejudice into the story, not just because she was a vampire but also because she was a black vampire. That was an interesting twist to the story. As the story went on and it got layers and layers of depth and intrigue and spice, it just made me remember how well of an author Ms. Rayne is. I loved this book. I actually could not put it down until I finished it. I need to know who was behind the feral wolves and the half human vampires. I guess that’s the trouble coming.

Even better than book 1, this picks up where book 1 ended. Elizabeth's best friend Michaela ends up at Dark Woods seeking refuge. Here, Liz discovers her friend is a vampire. Of course, having recently mated with a werewolf, that doesn't faze Liz, who stands in defense of her friend when the pack doesn't want Michaela and her sister Marley to stay.

Enzo is most angry at them being there but concedes for his Luna. But there's so much afoot. A husband hunting for his wife and a special key. A Huntress downplaying her powers and abilities. A cousin still seeking revenge. A pair seeking love.

So complex yet beautifully written and that twist at the end with the "key", didn't foresee that, absolutely brilliant!!!

WORTH THE WAIT

I remember when I finished reading Chayton, I left a review inquiring about a follow up. Now we have it. So worth the wait. The story was woven together wonderfully. The backgound on Michaela. The action. Wow! Lots more action than Chayton for sure. My only issue is using "rather" instead of "whether". Good book. Who's next? Read the book to see what I'm talking about.

I really enjoyed this book. Enzo was a beta of the pack. But he was no push over. Micheala and her sister went to the pack for refuge and to hide from her ex husband Markus, who was a powerful vampire. Michaela wasn't a weakling. Trust me.
Put she was not welcome into the pack. Because wolves and Vampires didn't get along and had a dark history. This book had it all. Love and adventure. This could be a movie on Netflix.

Wolf and Vampire

I enjoyed this book so much. Enzo and Michaela are a dynamic couple. Their start was nothing short than volatile, but when they finally got together, they were non stoppable. Enzo had to work hard to break through all the walls that Michaela had build up to protect her mind and her heart. When he was able to get her to trust him, it was beautiful.
This is a great read and I can't wait to see what the next book brings.

The book was okay. I was left a little disappointed, especially considering Clayton was such an amazing book. I personally didn’t feel the connection between Enzo and Michaela, there wasn’t a spark for me. The story was a bit too copy and paste from Chayton ; “forced” marriage/ mating, them not liking each other in the beginning, blended family (Miko= Marley). I wish the author went a slightly different route.

This was so amazingly good!!!!!

I have to give it to Tiya, this right here was perfectly splendid!!! I loved how this book started out, I loved the dialogue between the two MC’s. I seen the changes being made between everyone, the coming together as a whole. I laughed, got in my feelings, the whole wolf scene was awesome, and my heart hurt for Michaela. I truly enjoyed this series, I wish there were more characters coming…lol

worth the wait

This book read so smoothly. It had action, love, despair, loyalty. Enzo really did disgust me at the beginning but he grew on me. Mikayla had a hard life was deserving of love the fact that she was willing to sacrifice everything to save the world spoke volumes to her character. Great read can’t wait till the next book. Hopefully it won’t take too long to come out next time.
